Pros (+) The hotel is quite the little historic gem, clean new bathrooms, and king sized beds.

Pros (+) Great location, just a block and a half from Hastings St., near restaurants and shops. Breakfast room was great to be in, listening to all the languages and accents. Hotel exudes old-world charm, and my room was very quiet.
Cons (-) The lack of a writing desk was a problem, but I was able to use the nice desk in the communal hall on my floor. Most rooms share the bathroom, and the shower, among several rooms on that floor, but this was never a problem for me (staying almost a whole week).
