The wait at the counter was over 2 hours!!! There were 60 people ahead of us and only two agents working the counter. We were told it is always that way at Thrifty in Atlanta. We did not use the car Had we waited in that line, we would have missed the appointment for which we flew into Atlanta. How do I get a refund as that car was not used?Reviewed 19 Dec 2022

Despite having booked and paid for a car ahead of time, when we got to the desk to pick it up, they had no cars available and did not offer refunds. The agents at the front desk refused to address cancellations, and so my husband had to call thrifty while he was at the desk. Fortunately we did not have to wait the quoted 2-3 hours for a car before there was one available; however with a toddler and lots of bags in tow, this was incredibly stressful and frustrating.Reviewed 14 Nov 2022

Long wait in line to get the car was frustrating. Pickup took about an hour. Clerk or service person was unpleasant. Showed very little interest in us. Husbands debit card had Jack instead of John (on driver’s license) so wouldn’t accept it. Car we had reserved wasn’t available. We have no idea what we were charged! That’s frustrating! We were told we’d be charged $500 deposit on the wife’s debit card which would be refunded. We returned the car 10/17 and still haven’t seen a charge or credit on our account. The worst car rental experience I’ve ever had. Will not rent from Thrifty/Budget again. Taking customers money and expecting them to wait 2-4 hours for a car is the most unscrupulous way to run a business. Stay away from them in ATL airport, rent anywhere else.Reviewed 28 Sep 2022

I arrived after my reservation time and it was announced that they had no cars. Anyone checking in would have to wait two to three hours to get a car despite having a reservation. I cancelled at the counter and went to another company. I was responding to a medical situation and that was not acceptable. I won't be using them again.Reviewed 27 Sep 2022

We made a reservation two months in advance. We were supposed to pick up the car at 2pm on Friday, Sept. 23. We received a text from Thrifty at 10am that day saying they were “sold out” of cars and there was nothing they could do. It totally ruined our trip and we were stranded.
