Our rooms were spacious, comfortable and easy to heat or cool (depending on the temperature). The facilities were top notch! Excellent bathroom with a nice hot shower. Choice of breakfast. Fantastic location within walking distance to train stations and lots of attractions. We would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants good accommodation at a great price! Thank you.

Cons: - The smell! When we booked the suite room, the last thing we expected was the feet smell. With the help of the staff, we checked another room which didn't have that odor. When you open the windows to get rid of the smell, the food smell from the street comes in your room. We had to have the AC on at all times so we could have some sort of air circulation but it was an inconvenience we didn't expect to meet when we booked their best room.

Pros: Rooms are spacious and have a lovely homely feel to them. A lot of wood and marble, good quality amenities, especially the teas. Service was amazing, from the staff at the front door, to check-out, every staff member made us feel special. The breakfast restaurant had a very calming atmosphere, dark with mood lighting and soft music in the background, I loved it. I've traveled a lot and even worked as a hotelier in 5 star establishments in the past, this was one of my very best experiences staying in a hotel. Thank you, will be returning for a longer stay next time.

Cons: While the location next to the main station is great, you have to go through a few sets of stairs if you're taking public transport, a little annoying if you have luggage. Hotel does provide a free shuttle service from the main station. Breakfast was great, but lacking a better selection of fresh fruit.

It said the hotel had a swimming pool, but it's a lie. They just let you use a pool at a gym a block away from the hotel: really not nice :( The location is convenient if you are taking a plane from TPE or a train or a bus. Otherwise, it's in the middle of a huge transportation hub: noisy and polluted.

Pros: we asked for a big room and we got it. the bed was huge and we loved it. the layout of the room was also ok with me and my husband. we had a comfortable stay. at first we had a problem finding the hotel, but we managed to figure out the shortest route to and from the mrt station that going around was a breeze. the place is near places of interest- food, shops, convenience stores, and of course bubble tea

Pros: about 10-15 mins walk from Ximen exit 6. reception: very friendly and understanding (helped to bring our prepacked baby food to the kitchen to microwave once everyday during our stay.) concierge: patient, has initiative and very willing to help and provide us with the information required. toiletries: a whole range provided for free. love the shampoo, conditioner and body lotion (ginger series) coffee and tea: nescafé and taiwan local tea bags (tasty) facilities: very good layout of the bedroom and big enough to open 2 large luggages. big bed with 4 pillows provided. i like that the toilet and shower room are separated so we can use them simultaneously without interfering with each other. kids friendly as the table is round and don’t see any sharp edges. abt 6 hangers provided and the wardrobe is open concept so it does not have a smell esp when you hang your clothes. 2 bathrobes provided. nice and free flip-flops to bring home. hotel lounge: a lot of tables, chairs and benches. good space to relax, read and use of notebook. well lit and decorated with plants.

Cons: You know I booked it not knowing the city. It was between the Amba and Puri. Taipei is not the easiest of places to navigate. And the google maps that link in with the bookings are rubbish. They seem to conveniently erase metro stations and prominent buildings of note. So when you are looking at hard copies of maps AND. The google maps you are completely thrown. It doesn’t help that reception is at 5 th floor the hotel being above a fairly non descript shopping mall. I wastedover an hour trudging the streets trying to find it and even afterwards when I went back was having difficulty getting my bearings and, you know, I am usually spot on with maps and directions.

Cons: The hotel is like a trip to the 80’s. Everything is so outdated... Breakfast was ok, I was expecting a bit more. Pool area is a joke. Small pool and no services around (e.g. pool bar). Spa services were overpriced. Lack of communication between staff. We upgraded our room and included breakfast after we arrived but when we went to the restaurant they didn’t let us in at first saying we didn’t have breakfast included in our stay... Wifi is not very good. All of these above would be fine if the price was lower... but it’s actually quite expensive. Absolutely no value for money. I recommend to explore other places.

Pros: The Caesar Metro Taipei staff was exceptional. Every staff member was welcoming, customer-service oriented, very knowledgeable, and ensured that we enjoyed our stay at the hotel AND our visit to Taiwan. Also, I left behind a couple of items in the room we stayed in and didn't realize it until we were at the airport for flight to Japan. When I called Caesar Metro Taipei about the items, they quickly retrieved and carefully packaged my things and arranged for it to be shipped to the hotel we stayed at in Japan!

Cons: This was a very minor detail, but when we booked the hotel room, the email confirmation noted that "breakfast is not included for children who stay free of charge." Since we didn't have any children, I assumed this meant breakfast was included but we found out that breakfast was not included upon checking in. We found awesome places within walking distance that served Taiwanese breakfast so it was not a big deal for us. However, if you're planning or expecting to have breakfast included with your reservation, just simply contact the hotel for confirmation beforehand.

Cons: when you remove door card from the holder the electricity automatically off, including the AC..so when the roommates who has the card on the slot left to early and go taking his card , it leaves us dark and too hot...because where still inside and there was no card on slot...was confused of the idea since its a shared bed rooms.

The room was very large, AC worked amazingly well and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, two minutes from a 24 hour Carrefour supermarket and a 6 minute walk to Ximending. I recommend this hotel.

Cons: I got a room where the smell of cigaret was so strong that was impossible to stay inside. After I asked for a change I had to wait 1 hour to get a new room that was ok. Breakfast is not that good. For the price of the room, I would suggest looking for something else. I spent 4 nights in Grand Victoria hotel and that one was way better for a lower price. Not well positioned as this one but if you have access to the metro it's easy to go everywhere.

Cons: staff was not friendly and generally unhelpful. This may be a culture thing though. Smiling may be too much to ask for. The nicest person was the concierge when we arrived at 7 am to help store our luggage since check-in was not until 3pm. The check-in process was alright, although it would have been nice if they could have offered an early check-in. I understand that it is not guaranteed, I've been to hotels in other countries that have offered for us to come back an hour earlier before check-in because they should have something available by then. Other times, hotels have been nice enough to admit that they are fully booked and will need to wait until checkin time until the room is ready. At the end of the stay, I explained we need a taxi at 4 am and asked if they could call a taxi that accepts credit card, the desk told me "the taxi stand (in front) is 24 hours." I rephrased my question "Does this mean you cannot call a taxi service? Most taxis here do not accept credit card" He replied "You can check in front at that time and ask" This did not answer my question. It was not helpful. We ended up calling an Uber to the airport anyway. This is fine, but would have appreciated better customer service with the courtesy of offering assistance. I put the sign for the room to be serviced 1 time during our 4 night stay. I'm not sure what they consider clean. The bath mat still had my hair on it. Either they did not change the towel or they did not clean the floor. The bathroom fixtures need updating - not just outdated, there were cracks and rust in the tub. The shower door might have been frosted, but it looked unintentional and just dirty.

Pros: The staff at the property are very nice and helpful. Someone or the other at the front desk is always present who can speak English and they do try to help you the best they can. The location is walking distance from one of the best night markets in Taipei.
Cons: The Rooms are VERY small. The actual Toilet is located in a Half Size Broom Closet on its own. The water from the shower overflows as the drainage isn't up to standards. You can hear the occupants in the other rooms as there is no sound proofing in the rooms whatsoever. The Breakfast Buffet is Very Chinese and no effort is made to accommodate you in case you don't want Noodles and Congi for breakfast. I would recommend walking down to the nearest McDonald's and Getting an Egg n Sausage McMuffin.

Room is clean and beds are comfortable - we slept really well, sheltered from the street noise. Breakfast has a wide choice of Western and Chinese food, including bread, fruits and several drink options (we think it is worth the TWD 100 extra per head - especially as children eat free). Cons: The room we stayed 986 is large and comfortable by Taipei’s standard. We paid for a luxury room but the view is blocked by the surrounding wall (it is surrounded by the maintenance balcony). And also it is not quite privacy as the maintenance worker might pass by the balcony unnoticed.
