Pros: This is a large boutique hotel, so you either love it or hate it. I loved it. It does have a dark look, but the quality of the interior is terrific. The detail in the room, everything from the desk to the venting of the air-conditioning is very well done.
Cons: If you like to walk around, it's a little far from major attractions. The hotel was kind enough to arrange a cab for me anytime I needed it.

Pros: There's a bus to take you to and from the airport right to the hotel for approximately $3. It's convenient to get to the National Palace Museum, a fabulous museum of Chinese art. The restaurant is OK, but we enjoyed the club restaurant which is on the campus.
Cons: This is a hotel catering to tour groups. We had a small room with nice bath, but it was on the inside so no windows. We used the concierge who went out of her way to help us but the front desk was less helpful.

Pros: The availability of variety for food and drinks in the same building were great when we were too tired to come up with somewhere to go for food. Location was awesome for shopping and some of the the big sites. Very close to the metro, but cabs are so inexpensive and accessible that we were able to get those to head to destinations too far to walk.
Cons: We were bummed that the mineral pools were not open during our January stay. There was no advance warning on their website about it being seasonal or under construction.

Pros: I had the biggest surprise when I found out my room actually had a window. The website stated that it didn't have a window. The staff was very helpful and attentive to anything that I needed. Granted, I didn't need much because everything exceeded my expectations. The lobby has a very "Trendy" feel with the audio/visual video loop of the models walking down the Catwalk.
Cons: Some of the reviews on the site that slammed the Hotel. Obviously, somebody must have wanted more for their money.

Cons: Big problem with cleanliness: 1. Did not change towel and bed sheet 2. Head bed very dusty I did complain about the towel, reception stated because environment friendly, so no towel or sheet was change. This mean all the room during the stay or after wasn't not clean. Pros: Staff was helpful and spoke English. The room was quiet and the hotel was in a very good location. Easy access to the metro lines and plenty of food and nearby parks. The included breakfast was very good.
Cons: The hot water in the shower did not work. We called down to the desk and inquired about it and they said let it run for 1-2 minutes. It had been running for 10 minutes when we called. Luckily the water in the bath was hot. The gym was shut down for renovation. The laundry service was ridiculously overpriced. Luckily there was a nearby laundromat where we could do laundry.

Cons: I was on the 8th floor and there was a stale odor in the hallway. The electric toilet didn't work and the shower door leaked water on the bathroom floor. As for their breakfast buffet, while the service was great, the breakfast was disappointingly mediocre at best. They could have easily improved the quality, for example, if you're serving bagels and lockes, please have cream cheese available... and of course some sliced cucumber, tomatoes, and capers will be nice too.

Pros: It was located in a great authentic district in Taipei, near temples, restaurants and the Fine Arts Museum. (Nothing like the glitz and designer shops around 101). Staff was very helpful, sleeping room had all the amenities, bar and pastry shop were right there on site. We could not have been happier while experiencing Taipei.

Pros: I really enjoyed the beauty of the hotel. Everything was very nice and the staff was excellent. I was surprised by the low price considering my pleasent stay. I was very satisfied.
Cons: The breakfast was good but could have been better. Slight mold around the tub and shower. The walls were thin so I could hear the people a room over very clearly.

Cons: The room had some flaws, e.g. a cigarette burn in a chair, a hole in the floor, scuff marks on the furniture, a dingy-looking bathtub mat, etc. Everything's functional, but the appearance leaves a bit to be desired. I'd say it's pushing it to call this a 4-star hotel. Maybe more like 3-stars.
