10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect and taken care of. Spotless clean, spacious room and ensuite, delicious breakfast, Jacqui and Bill were so wonderful and tried to help us in every way... A lovely stay and a good location to be in a quiet environment though close to most places to visit in Cornwall. The b&b is also close to a tasty fish and chips and not far from a good restaurant. Every little detail was in its own place, we really appreciated that. We also appreciated the chats during breakfast time! Thank you very much
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like

Pros: We liked everything, from the well appointed room an en-suite, to the full English breakfast, and the parking on the property. It was only a short walk from the harbour, and Lara spent time talking to us about the near by restaurants etc, even though there was a comprehensive guide in the room. The WiFi works- which is always a plus
Cons: Nowt

Pros: The house was very pleasant and Lara and Gareth were wonderful hosts , very friendly and helpful ,the food was top notch
Cons: The road to the harbour was very steep , a bit tricky for older people who are not so fit !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely comfy house, about 5 minutes walk from the harbour of this beautiful village. We had a ground floor room, very large with a great bathroom, really quiet and comfortable, with modern furnishings. Parking on site was great as I imagine it's not easy to park elsewhere in the village. Really good breakfast with cereals and fresh fruit, alongside a great cooked breakfast, endless tea & toast as well. Lara and Gareth are very friendly and chatty, with good recommendations for restaurants etc.
Cons: All good - would like to stay longer.

Pros: Great location, fresh, clean airy hotel, very helpful friendly owner and staff. All together very good.
Cons: Nothing it was all good
8.8 Excellent
Pros: the hotel's view on the bay, the charm of the room, the friendliness of the staff, the tidiness of the room, the consideration for minimalising food waste
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The extra touches at an extra cost where lovely very accommodating to my request the breakfast was yummy and just enough the eco touches made the stay even better
Cons: The garden lights must look lovely from the outside looking in and provide a level of security but from the inside made my nights sleep not great it felt like I was sleeping in the day time with the curtains close wether black out blinds could help or if they could be turn off at a certain time (saving electric too) would have made for a better nights sleep I hope this is something the owners could look in to for future guest kind regards
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location for Mevagissey town, which is accessible down the hill, without being stuck in the town's narrow streets. Friendly, efficient staff. Good breakfast. Very pleasant bar area where you can have a drink or just sit and enjoy the stunning views across the bay.
Cons: Room was too warm in evening even with heating off and window open (from towel rail in bathroom). Parking not available on first evening (11 rooms, 9 spaces) but OK rest of stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable bed, brilliant location. Owners environmentally aware.
Cons: Being a converted house the sounds from the room above transmitted through the floor and conversations and movements around the room could be heard. Not a suitable venue for a honeymoon!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view
Cons: Steps up to the property
4.6 Okay
Pros: Very friendly waitress serving/organising breakfast which you’re asked to choose the day before. Basic full English. Nice sea view from dining area. Nice to have a bar area, very tastefully done.
Cons: Mould in the bathroom ceiling and it looked quite dirty (damaged?) behind the toilet. Bedroom very small and shower squeezed into too tight a space. Felt very cramped. Bedroom light incredibly dim! Owner not particularly friendly or welcoming when we checked in but maybe she was just busy to be fair. (She did allow us to check in earlier than originally agreed). Can hear everything from people in the next room...coughing, chatting etc

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lower barns is an amazing place to stay, and a beautiful place to get married. It is so unique and cleverly put together by the owners. The breakfast was delicious. We loved having the use of the hot tub as well . Met some wonderful people and had a relaxing stay. We would definitely go back to Lower barns.
Cons: Having to leave
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location 5 min drive from Mevagissey. Beautiful gardens and rooms. Very quiet and peaceful. Lovely, clean super king size bed. Host are very welcoming and hospitable and leave you to your own devises. Breakfast is great, fruit, yoghurt, granola, full English, smoked fish ect. Kid friendly we took our 7 month old boy and he loved it and the hosts were very affectionate towards him. Accomadation lay out is perfect it's not like most b&bs where you have room with in a building. You have you own individual building and fenced garden with no one over looking you.
Cons: Freestanding bath could do with a shower curtain and shower head rail as there's no were to place it when the showers is on. Bathroom double doors need easing as they don't shut very well ( dragging on floor).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great find, comfy, quiet, friendly, we will be back.
Cons: A more relaxed option for an evening meal on site would be good, but appreciate that this isn’t easy to offer and manage effectively in this smaller type of location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location and great owners.
Cons: Absolutely nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was superb and location is idyllic.

Pros: Beautiful little touches in the room such as homemade cake and plenty of toiletries. Colourful and vibrant gardens and interior. Mike and Janie were so friendly and it was so lovely chatting to them. They made our stay really special and one we will remember. Breakfast was delicious!
Cons: Our room was a little too hot on a summers night and the fan was too noisy to use whilst sleeping. I’m sure this wouldn’t be a problem most of the year round.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The 'De Luxe' room was excellent and well worth the extra money. Great views of the harbour and a very comfortable bed. We found the stairs to the top floor difficult, 'cos we are old, but worth it once we got to the room. The bathroom looked as it it had been recently refurbished, although I was assured that this wasn't the case. The 'singing' sink was a source of some amusement.
Cons: Apart from the stairs, which we had been warned about in the information from the hotel, everything was fine.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful, everything very clean, nice size room,
Cons: Fire doors left open on the stairs
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Strong wifi, easy and free parking just down the street (supplied by hotel). Hot shower, nice bar. What more do you need for a 1 night stay by the sea! While the restaurant was booked for the night I stayed and the bar area was packed around dinner time, the menu looked delicious! The place right nextdoor is owned by the same people, and was delicious! (Both had a range of items for vegans, vegetarians and gluten free).
Cons: A little noisy throughout the night (walls seemed a bit thin). Not bad, just noticable.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location, friendly, helpful staff and beautifully appointed room that was spotlessly clean.
Cons: Some issues with the practicality of the beautiful bathroom and noise from adjoining rooms.

Pros: Barbara and Mike were fantastic hosts! Very very friendly, helpful, and just wonderful overall. The bed was so comfortable! I stayed in the room that was not en suite, but the bathroom was just across the hall, and felt very private.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The croissants were excellent, we smelt them being freshly baked before breakfast. The bed was large and comfy, we had the four poster.
Cons: Can't fault anything.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The owners were lovely very welcoming lovely breakfast very clean and comfortable Thank you for a lovely couple of days
Cons: Nothing really maybe a couple of miles away from the nice pubs/ restaurants need to drive or get a cab.
6.3 Good
Cons: More traditional choices on the breakfast menu, the ability to adapt menu for guests would have been appreciated. It was the weirdest breakfast menu we encounted on our trip around the UK.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The HOSTS! What a warm, jolly pair who would brighten up any room! We were made to feel very welcome from the outset. They created a great atmosphere. The location was great for visiting the many interesting places around. Good parking facilities and safe place to put our bikes. Gorgeous home made croissants. A very enjoyable stay.
Cons: Just personal taste...would have preferred cooked tomatoes or beans with the breakfast.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was plentiful and varied. The fruit provided was fresh and the presentation was great. Barbara and Michael were very attentive hosts and made us feel welcome.
Cons: The bread, although seeming fresh and toasted was just standard sliced brown or white and maybe a choice of granary or other would have been preferred.

Cons: nothing comes to mind
9.2 Excellent

10.0 Excellent

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Just a lovely hotel
Cons: We had a lovely stay. My only point that I would to make, we were booked in for the week before. But we had to on the Friday cancel as my mother had a stroke and we were told the next 48 hours were critical. So I phoned the hotel and explained they said they were happy to move the weekend, but as we booked though you we had to phone you. So on the Friday I phoned you. You managed to move our weekend to the 5th October but you said the price had to go up. I expect maybe a liitle increase but we payed £170 which is a £62 increase. I feel that this was a liitle unfair we have used your website many times, and I always thought you were great value for money and amazing service. This time I feel very unsatisfied, sometimes thing happen that our our of our hands. Adrian Dowdell
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Can’t put it all in a short space just go it is top notch so nice in every way I hope I’ll be back soon 10/10 and I don’t say that very often
Cons: Nothing at all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Arrived around 1pm and our room was ready. Quick and friendly check in. Room was well decorated and spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. Bed was comfy with lovely cotton bedding. Coffee/tea making facilities in the room and biscuits that were replenished each day. Breakfast was lovely with everything you could wish for. We ate at the Taste restaurant one evening. Food, drink and service was great but I did fell it was a bit pricey. Pools and spa areas were lovely....relaxing.
Cons: I think the hotel could have been a bit more eco friendly. The radiators in the corridors were on during the day and at night and the fire doors were left open during the day as it was very warm. Should they be thermostatically controlled. I also noticed in the pool area that many people took a towel but did not use it. This unused towel still had to be washed. Maybe a polite word with the guest regarding this issue would surfice. I think most people now recognise our impact on the planet. Another area is maybe the toiletries could be put in refillable containers and not single use plastic bottles. This is by no means a critisism but maybe a suggestion for the future.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were really attentive but not over-bearing. The room and all public areas were lovely and clean. Breakfast was great with loads of choice and again, staff were really good. Surrounding area and views are amazing
Cons: Although the food in the Taste Restaurant was very good, I felt it was a little over priced. We have eaten in similar restaurants that have nor been so expensive.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Bed good.
Cons: Heating off at night much to Hot.and not adjustable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived earlier than expected but our room was ready. Very spacious with lovely fresh flowers along with a little box of chocolates. A fresh fruit bowl and turn down in the evening with a chocolate on the pillow. Nice warm dressing gowns and slippers to wear down to the spa and pool. A lovely comfy bed with a choice of different pillows of your choice. We loved the live music. Just perfect for a Anniversary weekend. We will be back soon!
7.0 Good
Pros: Price... got this room on a price match .. all other rooms in this hotel were significantly more expensive. Location was great for me right on the southwest coastal path, despite it being In St.Austell which is not one of the nicer towns in Cornwall. Facilities looks good although I wasn’t able to take full advantage of the pool etc
Cons: The general room price was high and would deter me from staying here... I would rather seek out slightly fewer facilities in a prettier location than St. Austell.

7.9 Good
Pros: Cute modern extension to an old inn. Lovely gardens with a delicious breakfast in the morning. Bit of out town but good location if you are driving to see the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We visited St Austell for a friends family party and fancied staying somewhere different. On-line we found The Waterwheel for the same sort of money as as a well known motel chain and thought what the heck we'll give it a go! We are so pleased we did, what a wonderful find, Mark and Francesca couldn't of made us more welcome, the location is idedilic and the food was heavenly (albeit breakfast was totally sinful!) The Waterwheel is packed with carachter and has retained much of its old world charm. Needless to say we enjoyed our find and we will definately be returning, thank you Mark and Francesca for a wonderful weekend.
Cons: As stated above, what's not to like.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room was amazing as was food in restaurant and breakfast. Beautiful ancient druid chair and well at back of garden and lovely friendly family dog to show you the way.
Cons: Better signage from rooms to bar/restaurant, lots of doors.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming hosts, Kernow the beautiful black lab whom I wanted to steal, exceptional value for money, I cannot praise this establishment enough. 3 star inn should be Michelin star!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel building and garden were very attractive breakfast is served in the conservatory with a view of the garden. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel on all three days, there was a good choice of food and it was well prepared and presented, it was deliciousThere was a good choice of wines at reasonable prices.
Cons: The bedroom was noisy due to the road. We did not sleep well, the very humid weather did not help
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A very comfortable and almost homely place. The site was gorgeous, especially the garden, through which you can get to a lovely little well and waterfall. The owners and their staff were lovely and very helpful. The lounge was especially comfortable and lent itself to chatting with staff and other guests. The food, especially breakfast, was great. We'd definitely go again should we be in that part of the world.
Cons: The bedroom was rather warm and difficult to cool down. A fan might have been helpful.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great, full english to yogurt and fruit. The room was very clean and the location was good for exploring Cornwall by car and train. The staff were very friendly.
Cons: The mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable and in need of replacement. You will need a car as the Hotel is located on the outskirts of St. Austell
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed staying in the modern facilities and liked the garden setting. The meals were delicious.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly owners. Excellent restaurant.
Cons:
The Net Lofts - St. Austell - Building
15
9.2 Excellent (121 reviews)
6.0 Good
Pros: Great view of woodland out of the window. Friendly welcome. Cosiness. Warm and Light.
Cons: The room I had was too small for a double, would have been more space with a single bed and a desk instead. Seemed maybe overpriced since it was with a shared bathroom, and there was no breakfast on offer or access to a kitchen. But overall it was pleasant.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A very comfortable room for a one night stay on the South West Coastal Path. The room is very clean and it is very close to the town center. The host is outgoing and we enjoyed our stay.
Cons: No complaints.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Seemed okay when I booked and when we first arrived. The rooms were nice and everything was clean.
Cons: Rude rude obnoxious owners. No idea how to treat clients. my sister complained that her bed was too hard and she didn't sleep. The wife was having none of it, didn't take my sister's complaint seriously and basically told her that since no one else had complained of that, she couldn't understand why my sister was complaining. I wasn't there so I don't know what exactly took place between them in the morning, but by the time we arrived back to the place in the afternoon, the owner had decided we had to leave. A major inconvenience for us (we had booked five nights), and I didn't even get my money back for the second night, because he said that it was after check-in time and he wouldn't be able to fill the rooms. What???? We left because he made us leave!

Pros: Li was a great host. She communicated well and kept in touch about the check in, how to get to the property and where to park. She also gave good recommendations for places to eat in the local area. The room was well equipped and the breakfast was very tasty. I left my camera charger in the room and she rang me to let me know so I could go and collect it. The property is very close to the town but in a quiet location, with good choices of restaurants within easy walking distance.
Cons: There wasn't anything we didn't like! The only comment was that we didn't have a choice for breakfast, Li served us with a full English which was fine for us but may be everyone's choice.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very elegant house, c200 years old. Our bedroom, the Violet room, faced onto the front garden and was very spacious; also the bath room was spacious and very nicely decorated in white. Li, the owner, was very keen to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed; she also cooked the breakfast as well, which was very tasty.

Pros: Lovely hotel, comfortable room which was very clean. The staff were great and the choice at breakfast and quality of the food was excellent.
Cons: The village it's self was rather quiet. There were no pubs within easy walking distance. However the prices in the hotel bar were on par with the pubs in Mevagissey so that was good.

Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and a good selection for hot and cold. They had fruit compote, Greek yoghurt with a bit of granola in a half pint glass which were delicious, was a very nice touch and not seen it anywhere else. Would happily stay again.

Pros: Everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food and facilities were really top class. Very interesting decor and grounds which unfortuantley I did not have time to properly explore.
Cons: A slight 'downer' is that the drive is very dark at night (if one choses to walk to the 'local').
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff and owners. The breakfast had excellent choices. The location for visiting the attractions in the area was perfect with most being easily found.
Cons: We were very disappointed by the fact the that the restaurant was closed. The choice of this hotel was made for the fact that it had a restaurant and we did not have to travel to get an evening meal.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was superb. Very friendly and informative staff. Excellent location, right in the centre of town!
Cons: Possibly a comfortable armchair in the bedroom?
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were really welcoming and friendly. Patrons and residents all seemed to get on well. No noise came up from the bar (or the kitchen which was next door on the first floor too) which was good! Breakfast was nice and simple but pleasant and tasty. Room was clean and maintained daily by the owner herself doing the hoovering etc. If anything ran out or needed sorting it was managed immediately. The room felt very clean, tastefully decorated and well maintained, and the bed was VERY comfortable!!! A very nice stay thank you.
Cons: Sorry to say that one or two things could have been better. A kettle was provided but unable to fit under the tap, so necessitated going downstairs to the bar in order to refill water bottles to fill the kettle. Not a huge issue but no towel rail in Bathroom, just one hook behind the door, and then a radiator in the bedroom. Suggestion, please remove the bathroom shelf and affix it on the other side of the sink - ensuring that people can get their head to the sink when brushing their teeth without banging their head against the glass! Things that cannot be helped... Noisy Seagulls!!! Noisy people vaping or smoking outside the window and sharing their entire conversations with us trying to sleep at 11pm Very noisy busy street - it is the high street after all!!

Pros: Sally was a great hostess, she was flexible with my access to the B&B before check in time and was very kind in letting me know I’d left my phone charger behind & made arrangements to get it back to me that day even though I was on the way to Truro. Lovely, warm, friendly lady.
Cons: The room was downstairs and I could hear people coming in at night & going up the stairs. It’s hard to control noise in a B&B, it’s a good idea to bring ear plugs.
