Our car was great and dropping off was great. The real issue was in picking up the car. We came from Nice, not from the airport which was the first challenging part. There was not an address on our rental confirmation so we just used google to look up Sixt rental. Google took us to a place inside the airport. We waited there for over 30 minutes and then the worker told us that we had to go to a different place, but didn't really clearly explain where. When we did find the rental place it was very obvious and I think would be really easy to find if you were landing there in the airport, but very frustrating experience.Reviewed 23 Oct 2022

We landed in Nice Terminal 1 at 1120 on time no bags to collect, found the SIXT desk and were told we had to go to Terminal 2 or pay €50!! We took the shuttle to T2, walked 5 mins to be confronted with a queue of 10 metres ie 10 couples in line in front of us. The problem is that all your agents are trying to upsell - probably on commission - and this slows down the process. At 1305 we had located the car and drove off. We were only in Nice for 4 days and meeting family in Menton. This cost us nearly 3 hours. Very disappointing. What did I like? The car was excellent and a hybrid - a pleasure to drive. I have hired cars from SIXT before in South Africa, and probably other places around the world. This was our worst experience. Is there any way we can avoid this problem in the future?
