Location, apartment/suite with all the furnishing . The staff was outstanding. Front desk Luis Maricel Eduardo Marcela Antonio, always ready to find out an immediate solution to questions, your information and transportation. Fully bilingual which helped tremendously during my short stay. The breakfast is outstanding with a full selection of pastries, fresh fruit and pastries. Ana María, the manager of food services made sure all guests were taken care off. I’ve learned RQ is a Chilean owned operation so I also felt I was supporting local business operations. I will definitely stay there when I return.
They could improve on light features. Room is a bit on the dark side. Other than that it was quiet and sheltered from all the outside noise.
This is the best experience when I travel in Latin America. The apartment is very clean and all the devices for in the kitchen are very fully equipped. The cost is only 40usd for one night and the location is in downtown with free parking lot. So convenient and highly cost-effective! And the staff are very nice and helpful. I will book this hotel again when I travel to Chile next time!
There were not electric sockets next to the bed
Great location, modern, roomie.
Reception was good but not excellent (first person, a lady was attentative, the second, a guy seemed concerned about his mobile). WiFi password did not work, tried it multiple times. Bathroom sink was round, modern with tile topping but around the back corner found hair and it was not clean. A flat NOT tiled topping sink would probably make cleaning easier (hint). Sink also would clog, so had to watch the flow... gross. They need vending machines with bottled water, had to use the tap (high chlorine). Hella expensive late check out, half the cost more for only 4 hours, wow! Could have been 5 stars, but it was not.
Breakfast includes bread, pastries, hot scrambled eggs, a variety of fresh fruit (not from a can!), a variety of cereals, yogurt, juices, milk, and hot beverages. My room was large and included an equipped kitchenette (hot plate-style stove, microwave, oven, mini fridge, kitchen sink, pots, pans, dishes, utensils for eating and for cooking). The bed was very comfortable and the view was great. Location is also ideal--about a three minute walk to La Moneda metro stop on the red line 1. Staff are also very friendly and helpful. I live in Chile so I communicated in Spanish with everyone so I can't rate the level of English spoken but there were lots of Brazilians staying there and staff were communicating in Portuguese with those guests
Like many Chilean hotels, cleaning staff remove used towels and soap from the room every day which always seems wasteful to me. The shower could have been cleaner (mildew in the tile cracks). Towels are a grey color like many other reviews mention but they were definitely clean (maybe it has to do with the mineral-rich water of Santiago?).
A stay at RQ Santiago places you in the heart of Santiago, within a 10-minute walk of Palacio de la Moneda and Plaza de la Constitucion. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and an elevator. Limited parking is available onsite.
