Cons: Staff is super nice Breakfast is great Bed was comfortable Location is superb although good luck finding the entrance of you drive in from airport alow 2 hrs for 10km No kidding Traffic is something out of a comic book u will understand if you see it first hand Costa Ricans in general are so nice honest and hard working people enjoy

Cons: Rooms are run down, and not in the best condition. We had to change rooms because of bugs in the first. AC would have been nice.

Cons: I did not like the streets surrounding the hotel

Cons: Don't leave the hotel after dark.

Cons: For such a modern and refined hotel, we were surprised to find the window would not lock shut! Though we were up high, this "insecurity" may cause anxiety for some; for others, like us, we prefer to have the window open at night. Our bed was also surprisingly hard while among new bathroom facilities when also in a room with new bathroom facilities.

Cons: Unfortunately the remodeling construction was loud in the mornings if you wanted to sleep in. And although the location was central in San Jose with easy access to shops and taxi's the street noise from vendors yelling sometimes was irritating.

Cons: Furniture and carpets need updating but was told by manager that refurbishment is planned

Cons: Need to change the Restaurant menu. It hasn't changed in over a year.

Cons: It is NOT a Casino. That is very misleading. The description of the location was misleading too. It said that the hotel was 5 minutes from the downtown Center which was false. It is near the central park but the hotel is about 0.5km into an isolated street ending.

Cons: Dinner was very disappointing. I ordered a beef casado, and it was the worst one I have had in Costa Rica (after 9 months of travel). I'm not too sure it was beef, and the beans were not tasty.

Cons: Have more garbage cans and recycle bins

Cons: My stuff was moved to another bed while I was gone and I was missing an item.

Cons: Our room didn't have a window. Just a glass door leading to a shaft.

Cons: When we got to the room we didn't have power for the lights or the ac so I called downstairs (the phone worked) and they informed me you have to insert your keycard in a slot by the door to get power. Weird but ok, I'll play along. After a couple hours of trying to get the ac to work and trying to sleep without it, I ended up calling the desk and having them take a look. They couldn't figure it out and moved us to a room right next door, which was an upgrade. The staff was great and helpful with the situation but the new ac didn't work much better. All in all, not a bad hotel. Great location, there was free breakfast we didn't get to enjoy, they opened my bottle of wine, and took great care of my complaint. However, there was a lot of construction which was a little weird to deal with and the ac is a huge thing for me. From the north and my house is constantly freezing.

Cons: Room felt old and dirty. Bed was very uncomfortable. There was no hot water in the shower. Very disappointed with this place.

Cons: Bed was hard. TV did not work well. No microwave. Thin walls so you can hear everything. No washcloths provided. Bottom entrance closes too early.

Cons: The beds was a little hard, however it didn't stop me from sleeping.

Cons: Bed mattress not very comfortable, old A/C is hard to set up, useless curtains (which is annoying in the morning because they fail to protect the room from the light)

Cons: Lack of response for items at front desk, ie, iron, tooth brush, etc

Cons: On site bar /restaurant was a bit pricey.

Cons: The front desk staff, concierge and some other staff we ran into we're not very friendly. A friend dropped us off and we chatted for a few minutes by the car. As we were walking into the hotel, security came over to tell us that no one could park out front for more than five minutes. My boyfriend said it was only a few to which the security guy said he could check the tapes. There's no need to be rude to your customers. Pool was cold, hot tub was tepid. Fixtures in bathrooms are cheap and falling apart. Location was a bit scary.

Cons: Very noisy in hallways late night and very early in the morning...staff slamming doors and talking loudly without regard for people sleeping.

Cons: The first room stunk like mildew, so we switched. The second room reeked of stale cigarettes and mildew. We should have left, but since it was only for one night and cost $80, we didn't think it was worth fighting the San Jose traffic to find another hotel. The bathroom was also old and disgusting (there was a drop ceiling that looked like a haven for mold). It was just an old property that should not be rated at "4 stars"

Cons: Not what you would expect. Old, dated, not well kept. Stains in the shower, bedroom carpets. Gardens are not kept properly

Cons: Room was a bit run down.

Cons: Google maps directed me to the back side of the hotel and the area behind the hotel is a bit sketchy at night. The hotel has a guard and a fence so it is safe

Cons: * Need more taxi on stand by.

Cons: Distance from restaurants. Lack of English channels on tv.

Cons: Some of the bar drinking discounts were deceiving. Like 2 for 1 drinks was on a sign then the bar tender would say that was for 3 days ago.
