The hotel is nice, clean and the staff friendly and helfull. The hotel has some reception staff able to speak english and spanish. My room was in the 3rt floor (number IX) had a confortable bed, with good quality of pillows. Tv and wifi are both available in all rooms. Good room service and a nice restaurant in the first floor. The hotel is located in a historical part of the city. If you prefer a beach hotel, you can stay in the modern part of the city and visit the old town in a half day tour. Churches and oldbulding are really nice and look like a small old Lisbon. The Salvador´s old town is safe enough taking the normal precautions. In many streets are police officers protecting tourists. You can take some private tours but is cheaper if you join to a "colective tour" with some of the many agencies located around the San Francisco Church and main square. I went to Guarajuba beach with "Cassi turismo". The bus was a modern and clean one and the service was cheap and basic but you have 2 or 3 hours alone to enjoy a beach day.
In my opinion the breakfast could be better. is enough to start the day but the coffe was served in a small thermo and was almost cold, and the bread was too soft. It could be far better if breakfast included free toasts and scrambled eggs for each guest.
Excellent location in the heart of the historic centre. Staff are extremely helpful from restaurant bookings, buying theatre tickets, arranging trips , general advice etc and speaking excellent English. Lovely roof top bar and swimming pool area with fabulous views. Despite being at the front of the hotel no noise/music from the street outside was heard.
Wish I’d booked a room at the back of the hotel with a view over the bay!
Breakfast difficult as one guy serving all tables in rotation. Two glasses of juice not necessary. A lot of bread and cakes. A small buffet would be so much better where you could help yourself to food you wanted e.g. more fruit less carbs. Location amazing, couldn’t be better! Great staff, friendly, helpful, charming.
Breakfast (see above)
Excellent room with views. Beautiful decoration. Polite staff.
The service could be much better. It would be nice if they could recognize and understand some needs of customer.
Amazing hotel. Best location and great restaurant. Didn’t want to leave.
