Casa do Amarelindo - Salvador - Bedroom
1
9.5 Excellent (540 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Casa do Amarelindo, you'll be centrally located in Salvador, just a 4-minute walk from São Francisco Church and Convent of Salvador and 12 minutes by foot from Fonte Nova Stadium. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was beautifully renovated with spacious rooms and a wonderful outlook over the bay.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast difficult as one guy serving all tables in rotation. Two glasses of juice not necessary. A lot of bread and cakes. A small buffet would be so much better where you could help yourself to food you wanted e.g. more fruit less carbs. Location amazing, couldn’t be better! Great staff, friendly, helpful, charming.
Cons: Breakfast (see above)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Unsurpassable location in a pedestrianised [except for airport transfer] street. A short walking distance from all of the main city centre sights. Staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. Great rooftop top with a pool and stunning views. And a massive set breakfast that will keep you going all day---if you want to leave room for lunch or supper do not have all of the breakfast. A very happening bar [on some nights--Tuesday in my case] across the street!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed for seven nights during Copa America and highly recommend Casa do Amerilindo. The area of Pelourinho is small but the hotel is in a very safe location. The room and decor was very nice and the bathroom has a wonderful rain shower. The location was perfectly situated on a main Street with performers appearing right outside the hotel. (The rooms are sound proofed so you won't be disturbed by any noise if you want to sleep in). Beautiful views of the bay but it rained daily so I didn't take any meals on the terrace. However, the best part of my visit was the staff. Luis the front desk receptionist is a lovely man who was incredibly helpful, genuine and went out of his way to make me feel welcome. Adam offered lots of tips on getting around and always greeted guests with a smile. Both Luis and Adam speak impeccable English and Spanish. The dining room staff was very professional and the dinner options are quite good.
Cons: I loved everything but I wish breakfast had more variety.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent room with views. Beautiful decoration. Polite staff.
Cons: The service could be much better. It would be nice if they could recognize and understand some needs of customer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was in the heart of the action and the staff and facilities were perfect.
Cons: Everything was great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are amazing - friendly, helpful, and engaging. Can't beat the location, just a block from the main square. The food and service in the restaurant are also great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We made a last minute booking as our plans changed and we found ourselves in Salvador for an extra night. The location was great, in a lovely part of the city. The staff were so kind and our room and the hotel facilities exceeded expectations. The restaurant was also great, we really enjoyed our dinner and the breakfast. We loved our stay here!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel. Best location and great restaurant. Didn’t want to leave.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at the luxury double room overlooking the bay. It was a beautiful and spacious room with the biggest bed I have ever seen! The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly and they made really good caipirinhas. Also, the breakfast was a three-course feast and the best thing - you can have it at any time during the day
Hotel Villa Bahia - Salvador - Building

9.3 Excellent (499 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Villa Bahia, you'll be centrally located in Salvador, steps from São Francisco Church and Convent of Salvador and 8 minutes by foot from Fonte Nova Stadium. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful old building with lots of character. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Very good breakfast.
Cons: Faint plumbing smell in room (Guinė). Not a lot of soundproofing (phone calls to the reception woke me up), which is of course expected in this type of building.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property in excellent location. Rooms were stunning and the place has a great feel to it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Arrived to the hotel at 10am and they allowed early check in free of charge. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Had a very early flight the next morning and they prepared a breakfast for me before meeting my Uber driver. Would definitely recommend and stay with them again.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in the best location and has an amazing roof terrace to see all the views of Salvador. The breakfast is huge and tasty and the pool is a cute place to relax. We loved the rooms and slept well. Again the views are amazing and there are interesting unique touches all around the room and hotel. Only stayed one night but wish it was longer.
Cons: Bed was a bit creaky.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Beautiful building and room, fantastic location, wonderful staff and brilliant breakfast. Aircon and wifi both excellent and steps away from everything in the old town. bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A lovely boutique hotel located in a charming street in the old town. We had a good sized room with a terrace but all the rooms are different. The staff are very helpful and friendly, some don't speak english. Food at lunch and evening is reasonable and the breakfast is very good although not extensive. There's a nice lounge and a tiny plunge pool
Cons: The old town is noisy late at night, The hotel is in a pedestrianised street with musical performers every night. The hotel is very charming but don't expect 5* facilities, it is shabby chic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent and tasty great vAriety
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an absolutely stellar hotel with a fabulous restaurant. The historic hotel environment is like a museum. The whole hotel is filled with gorgeous antiques. The restaurant is utterly beautiful and the food incredibly special.
Cons: Everything was simply perfect.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were a real asset to the hotel. The decor and restoration of a couple of old houses was done sensitively and tastefully. Our room Madagascar was magnificent. It was on the main square. I suggest if you want a quiet room you got to the back of the building although the street music does stop at 10pm.
Cons: The bar prices were high. The laundry was too expensive. The bread could be fresher, and breakfast became boring after a few days. Our bathroom needed some attention and could have been cleaner.

Pros: Relaxing
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and facilities are great. The Hotel has something for everyone, especially families.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: The WiFi didn’t work for a full day and this was very annoying
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast incredible, the beds are super confortable
Cons: Its far from the city
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely accommodating and pleasant!! They went above and beyond to ensure that I enjoyed my stay! Most of the front desk staff spoke English (which was extremely helpful for me). There is a “travel agent” on-site with whom you can book tours and do currency exchanges. If you book a tour, ask about additional fees - I did not and had to get cash while on the tour for entrance into the museum and Church. The food was ok (my favorites were the Margarita pizza, rolls, and fresh fruit) but was reasonably priced (most sandwiches and pizza translated to about $12-$16 USD and the sandwiches came with chips or French fries). There is also a little store that sells souvenirs and the bare minimum basics (toothpaste, mouthwash, etc - not a lot). The WiFi works best in the room/lobby; however, you can get a good signal by the pool. I celebrated my birthday while there. When I returned to my room from town, there was a signed card and complimentary dessert (nice touch because I was surprised!!). The hotel is about a 15 minute drive to/from the airport. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay!!
Cons: My only complaints were that there is no money machine on-site, the property is a nice walk to the beach (which you’ll have to pay for chairs and/or umbrellas when you get there so take cash), and there is not much within walking distance. Uber was cheap (compared to what I’m used to in the USA) so I used that when I left the property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In general all staff were very attentive and friendly. Lobby Bar staff are exceptional. Breakfast was awesome. Ambience was very relaxing and felt safe at all times. Very family friendly. Large pool, Room was comfortable and the view from higher floor is amazing. Food is great.
Cons: Some maintenance work during morning hours. Also They should give complimentary bottles water per night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great pool, gym, very comfortable rooms with sea views and a lovely breakfast with a lot of choice and healthy options. Staff were all very polite. Feels very safe and super comfortable. Definitely worth it for a night or two of luxury! There are some nice restaurants in Itapua that aren't too far away. Close to SSA airport.
Cons: Extras, such as a bottle of water, can be pricey. Be aware that the hotel is a fair way from Salvador city, but you benefit from the peace.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything! Great place to relax after carnaval’s craziness. Close to the ocean. Very clean, bright and comfortable room! Perfect breakfast!
Cons: Some waiters are soooo long and forget everything! Even if where were not a lot of people in bar/restaurant. Almost nobody speak English (ok except check in/out). Come on, in 5* hotel it’s the must even basic English
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The Pool area is very big and nice, the rooms comfortable and i get an very nice Massage with jo at my room. U would recomend her... I will book again here.
Cons: All really good Tudo de bom
Bahiacafe Hotel - Salvador - Building
4
9.0 Excellent (1,837 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Bahiacafe Hotel in Salvador (Pelourinho), you'll be a 3-minute walk from São Francisco Church and Convent of Salvador and 11 minutes by foot from Fonte Nova Stadium. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The decor throughout the hotel, extremely helpful and friend staff, the pool room, the breakfast, the large comfortable bed. It felt like we had the best parts of being in Pelourinho in with us. The location was perfect for exploring Pelourinho.
Cons: Only thing was that the laptops (ours are average size) didn't fit in the room safe.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked the decor, it was very Bahian. The breakfast was amazing and the Hotel felt very safe. The room was also a pleasure to stay in.
Cons: We pretty much liked everything except the guided tours the hotel offers. The first one felt very sterile and dull, it was very insulting to be honest. The same with the candomble religious tour. The tour guide left us in a church without explaining anything at all. We had to ask about things pertaining to the history. Which felt horrible. *the neighboring areas are extremely dangerous, some locals told us not to go to certain streets and alleys due to drug trafficking. You’re limited to were you can go around the area of the hotel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A charming boutique hotel. Staff helpful and friendly. In the center of the historic quarter. Comfortable rooms .. .. We loved the hotel very much
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel, fantastic breakfast, good location, beautifully decorated and rooms are quiet at night. We would go back!
Cons: Yoghurt and butter at breakfast had turned and tasted like cheese.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff and decoration
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic old building with interesting architecture and features. Staff were friendly and spoke English. Breakfast was great with a lovely view of the square.
Cons: We stayed here twice- both times we had a ‘standard room’. On the first occasion our room was lovely with big windows looking out on to a side street. On the second occasion we had a room with no external window and a faint but significant smell of toilet.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a charming, boutique style hotel with a good vibe in a privileged location close to the historic district of Pelourinho. I was impressed by the attentive and friendly staff, the quality and cleanliness of the rooms and the tasty breakfast.
Cons: I had no negative experiences during my stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, right in the heart of pelourinho so very close the main sites around this area. the hotel was beautiful. breakfast was very good - a lot of local options. staff were very helpful.
Cons: went for a massage against pain - it was far too soft to have any affect. my partner had the relaxing massage and it was the same. wouldn't recommend it if you have issues with your back
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were excellent - helpful, friendly, willing and ready to resolve any issues. Double superior room was super comfortable - spacious, bright, great bed, perfect wifi, kettle in room, a/c, fan, shutters that acted as black-out curtains, bathroom with all needed. Loved the hotel decor - simple, quirky, charming. Great location in the historical centre - though it is apparently not super safe at night (especially a lone woman). Breakfast great - enough range and good quality. Would definitely stay again!
Cons: Minor points: Some standard rooms only have a window that opens into the interior of the property, so they have no natural light - check before you book, although it doesn’t matter if you are out sightseeing all day (rooms still comfortable with all mod cons!). Fan in my room was strangely noisy so I used the air con (quiet and excellent). Central location can mean a lot of noise on the streets on certain nights (especially on Tuesday and weekend, but rarely past midnight), but I found it worth it for the music and atmosphere and really liked the location.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location and friendly staff
Cons: Bathroom door was not good

Pros: The staff wasn’t very welcoming but it serves well if you need to spend a night close to the airport. The room was very comfortable. There’s a free transfer service to and from the airport. Otherwise a taxi was about 40brl, uber from the airport was 10brl (would be more expensive to the airport since you have to go around a bit).
Cons: The bar area at the ground floor was full of mosquitoes for some reason...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the breakfast was good - a lot of variety and plenty of fruit. the hot milk could have been a bit hotter.
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff were very nice and breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. It's perfect if you are using the airport and the free shuttle bus service was great. The pool is open 24 hours!

Pros: The service and staff were both very good. The location is a bit out and away from the beach, however, the hotel itself is first class.
Cons: The cost for a taxi to get downtown.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Located close to Shopping Salvador, the best shopping warehouse of Salvador. And the hygiene standards of the room.
Cons: Breakfast was very disappointing; the food was not fresh, some items were finished and not replaced and the breakfast staff was not very service oriented. The room level “Studio” is misleading; you expect a spacious room with a sofa and or kitchenette, whilst it was a tiny room. We shared our feedback with the reception who offered us a paid upgrade to the other room level “Apartment “.
6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel room is small but has everything you will need. Where the hotel locates seems to be safe. Very good and local restaurants nearby.
Cons: Unfortunately when we checked in, - hand wash was empty, - body wash was empty, - the shampoo was almost empty, - the battery of the safe was out of power. How ist that possible? We reported those to the staff but nothing was fixed when we checked out. The bathroom door had some obvious stains and I had to clean it myself because it was just in front of my nose when I sat on the bed... very unpleasant.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Modern, well located and very comfortable apart hotel.
Cons: There is not cleaning service unless you pay an extra fee. They pick the rubish daily but that is it. People should be informed about this before they book.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great and very modern one bed apartment! It has all the little extras one needs, hairdryer that dry’s and ever iron and board. Comfy beds and shopping centre just minutes away. Definately will be coming back when in Salvador!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything
Cons: No breakfast included and no ice
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, close to shopping mall and bus station, which was all I needed for travelling through Salvador. I loved the personable and very helpful approach of the girl at the reception. She spoke English very well and could help me book my busticket and instruct me on where I could get the things I needed. Wifi was good enough to have a good quality Skype call. I liked the picture of the lighthouse in my room.
Cons: The only downside was that the fire alarm went off 4 times during my call. I don't know if it is caused by people smoking in the room, but it was really deafening.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location.
Cons: I was rerouted to the Mercure just 200m away. I got the impression that this was a inferior room. The Mercure is bit old on the inside and very noisy at night depending which side of the hotel you stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: top room in a top location for a brilliant price.
Cons: nothing top place to stay
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location.
Cons: The lifts are to slow and always crowded.

Pros: Gym was great Breakfast was great Room excellent size Checkin easy Location great Quiet area
Cons: Pool although it may looks great on photos. Really it’s just paddling pool, far too small for a hotel of this size.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I like the nice design of the hotel, decoration of bedroom not depressing for once! Very nice staff and very clean. They changed sheets everyday and towels are pretty new and soft. Very large shower and good air conditioning.
Cons: Breakfast is boaring, only one lift seems to work and is dark so little hard to see the numbers. Tv channels can’t be change to English language, no one ! That’s annoying considering that is a tourist and business hotel. Location not very interesting but we found a very good supermarket with lots of European products that we never seen in previous days in Salvador .

Pros: So friendly staff helping us with local info snd boats to Morro. Pool area is amazing, so relaxing with views over Prlourinho
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location, breakfast and the pool
Cons: Being woken up at 7am by people slamming doors. The breakfast area was right outside our window, so you also got woken up early by people talking. The amount of religious channels on the TV.
6.3 Good
Pros: At first a friendly impression and the staff did its best to get our room ready when we arrived at 11:20. Beautiful view, clean pool and good terrace. Decent breakfast.
Cons: Our room was too far from reception so we didn’t have wifi in the room. Had a problem with our shower, then had no water at all from the tab. We were offered another room but with one bed, so slept in one room and showered in the other. Air conditioning was too loud so had to sleep with the window open (which was also a bit loud...) Disappointing experiencing since we had such a great experience in Salvador the night before, for just a couple of €’s extra...
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were unbelievably friendly and many speak excellent English. Great place, perfectly located in Pampulha and close to the soccer stadium.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A quiet spot just outside (3 minutes walk) the historic centre. We liked especially the swimmingpool with the view on the historic city.
Cons: We had a nice stay. No special points of improvement.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location just by the Old Town (Pelourinho/Cidade Alta), very clean and comfortable, great breakfast. The best part of the hotel was Claudio, he worked tirelessly to make sure all guests have the best stay possible and looked after us so well. He was so accommodating and even spent his own free time coming up with suggestions for the remainder of our trip! Thank you Claudio!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a great experience! They were all very nice. Explained to us and guided us to where and what to do that day. There was such hospitality and I would recommend that everyone come to the place. Beautiful scenery, pool and breakfast. I'm sure I'll be back there
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Really beautiful view from many of the rooms with shared balcony. Safe place and nice pool area.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were phenomenal, especially Claudio who gave us a detailed colour coded map of area with tips on sights, museums, places to eat and safety. He recommended a brilliant churriscaria. We were able to avail of the facilities, pool and shower after check out. The caipirinhas served by the pool were super too. Claudio went above and beyond his role of manager and helped us resolve an issue we had with a flight. He is a consummate professional who truly cares about his guest's experience at the hotel and Brazil.
Cons: The rooms were basic but good value for money.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I like the "local feel", with the hotel kind of mixed with residential properties. But it's also very close to the major attractions. The host Claudio was very helpful in arranging transport to pick up from and drop-off at the airport, and also tips on where to go.
Cons: Nothing much.
Mar Brasil Hotel - Salvador - Building

8.8 Excellent (1,088 reviews)

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very picturesque the Vinicius home. Breakfast and restaurant are good.
Cons: The double bed was really a 2 single one. The sleeping room faces an internal corridor with people passing by. A bit noisy as they were repairing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent balance between laid back approach and willingness to support and help with everything we need. A quick walk, uber ride or bus ride to a beach of every taste. So for a beach with local vibe go to Itapua either along the beach under the lighthouse or by bus. For other larger beaches with top class aesthetics head to Flamengo or Stella Maris a short bus ride away. Daytrips to everywhere required on offer.
Cons: Nothing really bothered me!
7.5 Good
Pros: Always having some iced water available at reception - nice touch. Spacious room, and delicious cake at breakfast. Nice decor/style in the restaurant, and in some parts of the hotel, due to its artistic roots. Staff friendly and helpful. Across the street you can get Italian coffee and takeaway pizza.
Cons: Didn't try the restaurant as sadly it seemed much too pricey. I've stayed here a few times and it's always a safe bet, but some things in the rooms could do with a freshen up.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Front desk and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They have a parking garage which was very useful.
Cons: Bedroom was stuffy with windows that opened into a hallway. Kitchen area well equipped if we had brought our own food but there was no coffee maker or kettle so it was completely useless. Restaurant is overpriced and it took almost an hour to get our food. Food is mediocre.
7.5 Good
Pros: Proximity to the beach was special

Pros: great staff. Mauricio at the reception was incredible. Loved the staff. The location is very convenient and the area seemed very safe to me. Public transportation is great with bus stops in front of the hotel and easy bus drives to the historic center and any part of the city including the metro stations. Bus + metro to the airport was a 45 minutes trip for 7.40 Reals (less than 2 dollars). The rather large swimming pool was great to relax. The breakfast had plenty of options and I found quality to be very good. They have a fantastic tapioca and omelet station which I used intensively :-) The room was very large and had a very convenient table. The bed was very comfortable. The age of the bathroom shows up but for the price I would not complain. Noise insulation seemed good as I did not hear much of the other guests. There are a couple of shopping centers around of which one is just on the other side of the main road. For those looking for local SIM cards there is a Claro small shop in that shopping center on the ground floor. Claro has a fantastic coverage of the area in 4G. For a mere 15 Reals (+10 for the SIM) I was able to get 2GB for one week. Upload and Download speed were really good and having Claro was a good choice as the internet at the hotel is poor and did not even work one night (when I needed it). So in summary I would not hesitate to return.
Cons: internet was very poor and at times (night) did not even work at all. Download speed was 2 or 3 Mb while Upload was less that 1 Mb. That is where the Claro SIM card came handy and provided me with great internet during my stay at a very low cost (25 Reals for the SIM & 2GB data, unlimited SMS and calls for a week) ... offer called SEMANA14). air conditioning was noisy but at least the noise level was constant and my Bose in ear headphone (QC20) did the usual miracle so I was able to sleep quite comfortably.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good location to Pituba neighborhood. Room rate was fair.
Cons: Old property, in desperate need of a remodel. Service was very slow.
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and the the outside swimming pool were great.
Cons: The room was old and half the size of the booked room (roughly 20 m2 instead of 39m2) The bathroom was well past its prime.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very gentle and helpful.
Cons: Every floor has terraces st the end of the corridors. Ricky for kids, they should think about a way todo avoid easy access.

Pros: Everything in the hotel is perfect. I liked the view that one could have from his window and the big variety of foods for breakfast the most. The space for eating breakfast was great and also the space near the swimming pool. We didn't even have time to explore all the facilities!

5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was pretty good. And the bedroom is cozy and spacious.
Cons: There was a party on the rooftop bar, open to the general public (non-guests), that really bothered the guests. There was shouting and loud noises, atendees had unrestricted access to the hotel floors and the common areas were really dirty during and after the party. We were only informed about the event when I was not allowed to enter the swimming pool (also on the rooftop).

Pros: Brilliant . I'm laying in bed watching the surf before partaking of the superb breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and right on the beach in the Barra neighborhood. Within easy walking distance of lots of shops, restaurants, the mall and a supermarket. We had a spectacular view of the beach and the lighthouse from our balcony. Breakfast each morning had a ton of options and was delicious. Staff really went above and beyond for customer service - one of our bags never made it to our destination and was stuck in the São Paulo airport, and staff helped us call the airlines multiple times to figure out the situation. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were great, the situation very good, beautiful views from the room. Huge spread for breakfast
Cons: Only one small thig, the breakfast was great the the "hot dishes" were cold
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The Barra beach in front of the hotel is great and the ladies who prepare the breakfast are really kind.
Cons: I asked by e-mail a calm room in front of the beach and when I arrived they gave me a horrible and noisy room with a small view to the sea. I had to pay more to have a better room.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: nice spacey rooms, nice gym with view to the Avenia Tancredo Neves skyscrapers, good buffet breakfast, wifi was ok
Cons: only location is bussines area and if you are tourist to come to Salvador to see the city,beaches,Pelorinho..Barra..Ondina..Rio Vermelho than is meaby better you choose hotel in those areas..i did not care as i had a car and i prefer to stay in this hotel to drive to those locations...as there you do not have such good hotel as Mercur Pituba is.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I like style and decoration of room, nice big balcony, rooms have space and desk to do work, very friendly stuff, good breakfast buffe, good gym with nice view, swimming pool is ok but soon in shadow
Cons: only thing I could say I did not like 100% is location as in bussines district and you need car or taxi to go to nice Salvador places which you have to see as tourist...Barra,Rio Vermelho,Pelorinho...Barra beach,,,,,,,,,and those places are quite far from hotel.
5.5 Okay

Cons: They could offer a larger room with better space to work
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I booked this hotel upon a friend's indication. Everything was absolutely perfect. The staff friendly and smiling (I was attended by Ariane, a jolly of information and service). The room was tidy, spacious, cosy and bright, equipped with double A/C. The breakfast was plentiful and food served fresh and delicious.
Cons: One more elevator would help, since sometimes the waiting can be up to a good 10 minutes. Apart from that, there's nothing really serious to be pointed out. Great job by all the staff at the Mercure Boulevard.

Cons: Didn’t get the welcome drink, I had to ask them to switch the twin room into a double room. I’m sure that I paid for the room already but they insisted I had to pay. The breakfast wasn’t too good. Not many non meat options, not much variety.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff and hotel. The breakfast is amazing!! Interior design and home decoration, home design decor and decorating, are really exceptional and time seems to be stopped here. It feels like there's a spiritual touch in the room and it has no value. I highly recommend and will go back there :)

4.3 Okay
Pros: the breakfast of very poor quality and the outsourced service extremely disqualified the breakfast of very poor quality
Cons: service extremely disqualified
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, nice breakfast, good location.
Cons: The hotel is located in the historic district with plenty to see and do nearby. Wear good walking shoes as the roads are cobblestone, steep and one lane. I suggest a cab to get around if you want to explore further as several are on station and places like the Marina are less than $20R or $6US per ride. Google maps and Salvador roads are confusing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: location near to stadium and historical places, bus station to everywhere clean and comfortable staff pleasant and helpful breakfast great hotel is very authentic taste and special
Cons: some facilities may need to be upgraded
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff really kind and helpful, we arrived at 3AM due to a delayed plane and we could easily and quickly check in The location is great to visit Salvador historical center and the hotel is charming
Cons: The rooms have a strong smell and are not always perfectly clean The breakfast could be improved (buffet with really limited choice)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Large rooms, nice atmosphere, inner courtyard with pool, good value for money
Cons: property requires refurbishment, lots of old furniture and you can see that the hotel struggles a bit to keep them all in good condition (probably it would be better to remove some furniture and focus on fewer, higher quality pieces), the breakfast buffet is great when you arrive early, but buffet looks a bit messy towards the end
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Character and charm
Cons: Dark rooms and musty smell
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect in the heart of the old city The place is very atmospheric with a lovely central courtyard and pool, and the rooms are gorgeous but dark. Front desk staff so helpful to make the stay good and enjoyable
Cons: We arrived late at night to find that we didn't have the room for 3 we had booked but only for 2 and couldnt add a bed. The desk staff were very helpful and luckily found us the last room available but it seems they never got my booking emails via booking.com Place is meant to be shabby chic but is a bit more shabby than chic in some parts Dining room staff poor and breakfast OK but nothing special No filtered dri king water facility
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the beautiful peaceful historic building. Fabulous location. Wonderful helpful staff . Would highly recommend it. In the cultural part of Salvador .
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The property is simply lovely - character filled and a delight to be in. The staff were wonderful. The pool was great. There were monkeys that came and visited for breakfast each morning. The location is also great - 5 min walk into main square (steep walk).
Cons: It’s a huge old building and they can’t keep all of it in impeccable condition. The breakfast is not good. The spa is not really a spa but you are not there for that!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Historical location and building
Cons: Some aspects of the rooms need upgrading

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing about this place was good...
Cons: The towels stank.. the room service was horrible.. the room smell bad. The bed was the worst, they put two single beds together and called it a queen, but it kept splitting apart.. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE.....
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: old furniture very dirty without manitnace
Cons: the view the location
9.0 Excellent
Pros: the beach area was a lot of fun. the hotel is located in a safe area. the people and staff are very nice. great place to stay with kids.
Cons: the wifi is not good.
6.3 Good
Pros: Water front location with access and near major tourist attractions
Cons: The hotel is old and it showed. Poor lightning in room and hallways. Two of the 3 elevators were broken and had to walk the 12 flights. Arcane water facets in bathroom needed instructions to practically operate. TV language was set to Portuguese that included the subtitle. Requested desk to send someone to correct to English subtitles but no one showed. Breakfast buffet selection was boring at best. Would not repeat a stay unless absolutely nothing else was available
7.0 Good
Pros: Best location in Salvador...
Cons: The stuff are not prepared to work in a amazing place like this. Besides, what they say that are included when we book, they tray to charge after and say that was a misunderstanding.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location
Cons: The hotel is a little bit old
3.5 Mediocre
Pros: I did not like
Cons: the elevator was broken, the hangers and the air cooled too.
5.5 Okay
Pros: We arrived at the time of the carnival and therefore the entire street was secured by the police and felt safe. The descent to the sea by an indoor cable car and the bathing area is very nice. The beachfront restaurant is also very good.
Cons: The fact that despite the high price must pay for internet in the rooms. The double bed is made up of two single beds and therefore not comfortable for a couple's sleep. The safe is broken. The air conditioner was old and did not work well, so we managed to change rooms, and that was after a day and a half wait
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel has everything going for it except cleanliness.
Cons: Extremely dirty. The pool had plastic bags in it. Nothing appeared to have been cleaned in a long time. If it were clean this would be a great place to stay. It’s a great pity.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great view!
Cons: It needs an update.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Nothing other than location.
Cons: It was like walking in to the 60's as nothing has been replaced or maintained properly. Rooms and common areas not clean. Expect more for the amount you pay.
