Pros: it was a lovely hotel we had been staying up the coast and decided to stay in Rethymno for one more night and found your hotel. The staff were lovely the hotel was very clean and it had a lovely pool and a nice bar and great beach and also great value for money

However, the large bed did not have one mattress on it, but two separate mattresses, which should be noted, but it did not disturb us a lot. The breakfast was nice and had choices of hot, cold dishes, fruits and sweets. Besides, it is very nice to have a breakfast on the summer terrace facing the sea. Also the hotel has nice pool, which was nice when the sea was stormy. The pool bar serves good drinks.

Cons: When choosing the hotel by stars, you expect not only services that could be provided, but a certain level of accommodation. The furniture was quite outdated and the bathroom was also quite uncomfortable with a narrow bathtub, which made showering not too comfortable with the curtain sticking all over you. Besides, the bathroom did not have a built-in ventilation, but a window, which was obviously facing the neighbors balcony, and when our neighbors smoked our bathroom was full of the cigarette smell.

Pros: It was very nice hotel. The location was excellent!!! The hotel was very close to the beach, supermarket, restaurants and a short walk to the old Town. Some rooms were renovated and they looked very comfortable and modern. The rooms were cleaned every day. WiFi works perfectly in the hotel also at the beach. Breakfast was very ok and coffee was good. Kids loved that there was a choice of pancakes or waffles every morning. The tables were cleaned and reset quickly during meal times. Dinner costs 8 euros (4 euros for kids) and it´s cheaper than to eat in the city. I liked pool area. Rethymno is very nice city!

Pros: It's been 1.5 months since we stayed in Bio, and we still have only the good memories. Staff was very friendly, helpful, always smiling and playing with kids. We had a room on the 1st floor and it was facing the pool & the playground - and we think it was really great as a family with small kids we could not go out in the evening to enjoy the evening show, but we could see it from our balcony. The kitchenette was fully equipped with everything you need. The pool was superb - always clean and warm. We stayed in mid-June, and there were always enough sunbeds. There were also free inflatables, and kids could use them anytime. The best thing was that 6 out of 7 nights, the pool was open from 9pm to 11pm. We could enjoy swimming under the stars in super warm pool. The hotel is very close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Food in the restaurant was delicious (at least for adults). The choice wasn't great, but it would change every single day. It was good that there was a choice of pancakes or waffles every morning. Pizza on one of the days was amazing.

Cons: Bathroom needs renovation especially the tub (!) - it was very rusty. The cleaning service was overall good, but I didn't like dust under the beds and not that clean tub. I would add 2-3 kids-friendly meal choices - our kids were not the only ones that could not choose anything from the restaurant. They refused to eat anything other than pasta or chips.

There’s a small children’s area of the pool. Our room was fantastic and large with a full kitchen including a dishwasher. We loved the location with simple access to a small, protected beach across the road.

Cons: We thought this place would be fantastic for kids with the large suite-style rooms, but it really wasn’t ideal for young kids. The indoor pool is not available for kids because it is part of the spa, so even though it was chilly outside, our kids couldn’t use the indoor pool. The clientele was mostly older, so they were not very friendly to our kids swimming even outdoors or playing near the pool. Our suggestion would be to allow kids the opportunity to swim during a few hours a day in the indoor pool in case of inclement weather outside. Overall it was a very nice place, just not the best for our family.

Pros: The hotel room given to us exceeded our expectations staff were extremely friendly and we were welcomed with drinks fruits a bottle of wine and some greek sweets as we entered our room. it was more than amazing cleaned every single day so quite with such lovely guests who stay there. Everyone working there is extremely considerable and polite food was absolutely amazing pool clean and all together a relaxing quiet modern and luxury hotel. Would definitely recommend the suite with jacuzzi had the best holiday ever out of many. the town is so close by and the beach is one road away. definitely looking forward to coming back.

Cons: Some people might be less happy with the dinner buffet, but it's harder to make people happy that way than with the breakfast and in my opinion the staff did a great job with a Greek night with typical gyros, so even if it was a challenge, you could tell they made sure to try and make residents as happy as possible.

Cons: The maisonette room is quite dated and needs to be upgraded. Especially the bathroom. I don’t think these rooms are suitable if you have children under 5 for safety reasons. The breakfast was disappointing, limited selection and the quality of the food was lower than I expected.

Pros: This is a lovely property run by an efficient and friendly staff. Breakfast could be enjoyed in a private open air courtyard beside the pool, which was a very nice option. Angela was very helpful in recommending a few restaurants and we enjoyed those we visited. This all adds so much to the experience. We felt the property was run in a very professional manner. I would not hesitate to recommend it and would certainly stay there again. The location was very central to the lovely old town.

Cons: The beds were uncomfortable. They push two twin beds together to make a double/queen. The air condition does not stay on. It's cycles to low so you have to keep pushing the booster which only allows it to turn on for about 10 minutes and then it goes back to low. The water took forever to get hot in the bathroom sink. The shower however, got hot right away. There was nowhere to put your suitcase other than the couch. The breakfast was average.

Cons: There was a wall being built around a planned parking lot for the hotel. This was not an issue for us though as we still managed to find parking near the hotel and we were upper in the morning for breakfast as the workers were beginning to work.

Cons: Only thing we were weren't keen on at times was the food, most of it was nice but a little basic - more variety for lunch and dinner would be better. Also ensuring fresh tea/coffee cups are provided in the room each day - we found the cleaner seemed to be just rinsing our existing cups which is unhygienic and left tea stains.

We booked a superior room and they ried to give us a standard room, had to pay more for upgrade, although they did not charge this when we checked out, (one day early - could not stay the full 3 days) NOT a 5* hotel! They need to check the Galaxy Heraklion - that's what a 5 * hotel is supposed to be- No excuses about Greece being different - the hotel is a fraud!

Cons: Didn't like that the front rows of sunbeds were at an additional cost. I pay for the hotel stay, just to have access to the beach and the sea. Most of the guests now lay on the free beds, and peopel lived (cheaper ???) elsewhere hired beds in front. Some were families of 6 people, they shared 2 beds - but had many things around. It is just fine to lie in the back row of the beach too :-) , I still think the hotel guests should get the best deals/sunbeds.

Cons: We had an unpleasant experience regarding the service of the breakfast , that was up to 09:00 am , instead of 09:30 ( although 09:30 is also very early for the W/E ) as it was written in the elevator . They advised us that thay had rescheduled the timing , due to an early morning program of a german group . We asked if we can have the breakfast in our room and their reply was that relative service was not available for low season period . It is unacceptable for a 5 star hotel , either to depend the time of the service on a group program or to offer lower services without giving clear notice of the status.

Pros: The rooms are big and the beds very comfy. We had a very nice balcony.
Cons: There are some aspects of the hotel that makes it look a bit old (like the carpet). The coffee in the breakfast can be highly improved.

Pros: Nice hotel. Really good pool, great size and not too cold like a lot of other hotels around there. Breakfast was ok but not the best. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would say it’s perfect for older people and families. I enjoyed my stay there!

Pros: Very nice, quiet room. Two swimming pools and some activities (didn't do any). The breakfast and dinner at the hotel is very good, a lot of choice and fresh ingredients. There is a supermarket right across and the walk to the center is about half an hour.
Cons: Not a lot of parking at the hotel, but free parking less than 1km from the hotel.

Pros: Everything was beyond any expectation. More than perfect hotel. Room was very clean and maintained as well as all parts of the hotel. Breakfast and diner with rich collection and tasty. Staff and management were very helpful more of that very friendly Sure we will stay in this hotel again.

Cons: Keeping the old elevator design.It is a two door system. But if you like a touch of “boutiqueness” it is fine & does the job. Only two parking spots are reserved for all the guests of the hotel considering Crete as a destination that needs a rental car. In case of no parking, which happened four times during our week stay, Which is a pain if you don’t find a side parking near the hotel or parking in the free parking side of the port + 7 mins walk.

Pros: The breakfast was good and the location ok. I found the write up on booking.com misleading as it lead me to believe the hotel was right on the beach. It was not. It was a good 15 min walk in very hot sun. The hotel staff were efficient but distant, not overwhelmingly friendly as we had found in other places. The room was nice, but overall I’d rate the hotel 4 star, not 5, if compared to similar hotels we stayed in.

The room was nice, but overall I’d rate the hotel 4 star, not 5, if compared to similar hotels we stayed in.
Cons: Although the city tax was not much, Bookin.com charged us, did not pass on the charge to the hotel, so we had to pay again. The rooms were nice but not 5 star, for eg the sheets were over starched (thus scratchy) and the towels were well worn. Hotel staff could have been friendlier, and the hotel’s location misleading in terms of the beach ,but great for the old town centre. The gym was pretty poor with only three machines. Finally the room did have a strange odour which we could not trace, and the so-called sea view was blocked by a large leafy tree and one could not see thru it at all (photo attached). Two nights was definitely enough.

Cons: This place isn't even close to 4 stars - it's old, shabby & nothing about it approaches what you'd expect of a 4 star hotel. It's just B&B ... and not a great breakfast at that. It's also on a noisy street. Also ... no female FOH staff seems odd.
