Pros: The room was great and very well located. Their restaurant is rated best in the town and it had a great breakfast too.
Cons: The jacuzzi bath did not have a shower element which was a little inconvenient.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. View from the rooftop. Beautiful historic building. Amazing breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and beautiful and food was really good. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful especially Stelios (reception) who is btw a total cutie <3 for whom u will wanna come back for hehehe. He helped us a lot to find great places to have fun in rethimno and we hug him and thank him for his help. Oh and the jacuzzy was great and u have a great view of the city there as well.
Cons: I dont have anything negative to say about this place everyrhing was amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The personel, the welcome drink, the room, the bathroom, the pool on the rooftop, the breakfast, the restaurant, everything was amazing here, we wished we could have stayed longer, best hotel we staying in during our whole trip to creta!
Cons: Nothing to declare here!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Greek hospitality at Avli was exceptional and exceeded any reasonable expectations - the staff and management were all friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable holiday. When we needed to leave before breakfast on a trip to Knossos they served us a beautiful breakfast in our room and a picnic for lunch. The food, drink and service was excellent and we were sad to leave Avli for now, but hope to return one day. It was a brilliant introduction to Greece for my daughter and I would strongly recommend Avli to any person on business or holiday staying in Crete.
Cons: A map of the old town would be useful for visitors that drive themselves or get a taxi from the airport. Avli organised a private taxi for us and the driver was very friendly and took us straight to the hotel, but the narrow streets in the old town can be confusing for first time visitors that are trying to locate the hotel themselves.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best service in Crete, beuatiful apartments with all the small details which make you happy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was incredibly helpful, the location is perfect and close to a car park (20€ for 2 days), they gave us a wonderful welcome aperitif, and even prepared breakfast for us the evening before a very early departure and made packed lunches for our hike with local produce! Both restaurants are great : the food at the main restaurant (also called Avli) is amazing and the food at their Cretan tapas bar (raki ba raki) was also very good and great value for money. Make sure to try the wine too!!
Cons: Loved everything !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Feel at home, freindly staff, nice location & good breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Staff! Especially Elina! It is a very nice and clean hotel in the heart of the beautiful old town. Dinner at the Avli Restaurant was classy. Great chef! Also the other restaurant, Raki Ba Raki is a perfect place to drink some uzo or raki with delicious Cretean food. We had very good time in Avli and hope to be there again...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was large and very spacious, the staff were all really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served in the garden restaurant which is beautiful. We also did the cooking class hosted by Katerina which was phenomenal. We would definitely recommend it!

Cons: Nothing, everything was more than perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at this hotel in August 2019. It was recently renovated and offers spacious and rooms with nice bathrooms and modern decoration. They server breakfast in Odyssia hotel because it was in the middle of season. The breakfast is tasty and has a great variety to choose from. Also, there is a beach owned by Odyssia hotel but you can use it for free including sunbeds. The staff is very friendly and I have no words to describe those awesome Greek people.
Cons: Nothing to complain. I had some issues with wifi but it could be related to my phone.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Impressed by so many little details : friendliness of the staff, impeccable shower, lighting of the room, the absolutely fantastic pool! I’ve been blown away by this hotel. I strongly recommend!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Customer service, close to the beach, clean. Modern rooms
Cons: I wish they had more parking options. Nothing else not to like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I recommend to all...wonderful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options for vegetarians. The pools are very nice and clean. The hotel is located in a quiet area and it is close to the sea.
Cons: That we were given only one access card for two people.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was so beautiful, the room was like a dream, so elegantly furnished, as well as the reception. The pools were lovely, as well as the sunbeds. I loved the possibility to have breakfast on the beach (or even in my room if I felt too lazy). The personnel was friendly. I want to give my special thanks to Evi, who was extremely kind and helpful!
Cons: Everything was perfect!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We spent 15 days in August 2019 in this wonderful hotel. The location is perfect, it is the second line, but it is very close to the beach that belongs to the Odyssia hotel, where the guests of Omiros can use sunbeds and umbrellas as well as other facilities for free. Our room was on the ground floor, but it was so cozy and spacious that we enjoyed it greatly. The room is equipped withe everything you need: a safe, a refrigerator, air conditioning, a TV with USB ports, an electric kettle, bathrobes are also provided. In our room there was a stove with a set of dishes, which was very convenient as you can cook some meal. The breakfast was excellent, I especially liked Greek yogurt and great coffee. There are a lot of fruits for breakfast: watermelon, melon, peaches, grapes, apples. It was very nice that champagne was served for breakfast. I'd like to note the staff who creates a homely and friendly atmosphere for the guests. I wish to mention Pagona and Kristina as the best hotel employees, they are always ready to help and are incredibly sincere, courteous and friendly girls. Thank you so much! Around the hotel there are many cafes, taverns, shops and travel agencies. The large supermarket AB is located around 900 metres from hotel. I strongly recommend this hotel!!!
Cons: The cleaning was every day, but the quality of the cleaning depends on the working shift, sometimes it was very excellent, sometimes it was not so good.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good, about 45 minute walk to restaurants and main shopping area though. The staff were fantastic and more than helpful!
Cons: Listed as having airport shuttle - did not Listed as having a hot tub - was not in use.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was like a dream! Beautiful all around, everywhere all is clean, amazing swimming-pool, perfect breakfast, adorable stuff. And so quietly all the time! Strongly recommended!!!)))
Cons: Everything was excellent!!!

Cons: If only there was a private beach...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Don’t be fooled by the outside area. This is a fantastic place. Everything from the staff to the facilities and the room were fantastic and the pictures are very true to the ones provided by the hotel. We had a wonderful time at the hotel and would definitely come back if we are staying in Crete again.
Cons: Nothing negative to say about the place, facilities or staff.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly welcoming smiles upon arrival from Emma, and a very clean and airy feel on first impressions!
Cons: That I couldn’t have spent longer there. It was a very short trip for me unfortunately due to having to travel back early for work.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all very nice and Incredibly helpful. The first room we were given wasn't really suitable for our needs, but we were able to change the next morning for one that was, which was great. The place was very clean and modern and the breakfast was amazing. Our flight was leaving late so we also managed to get a room for the day which was a great help with two kids! the high reviews are totally deserved. I can't recommend it enough.
Cons: The WiFi signal in the rooms was pretty poor. The draught beer at the bar is not great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a quite family hotel which was exactly what we were looking for. The apartment was very comfortable and implacably clean. A beautiful beach just 5-10 min walk away form the hotel is another bonus. I would be happy to go back and can definitely recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for a quite family vacation!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All of the staff were beyond friendly, helpful and welcoming. The rooms are very modern, clean and practical - but they are charming as well. Multiple pools, including options for (young) children.

Pros: After travelling for 6 weeks around Scandinavia we arrived in Crete We stayed at the most amazing boutique hotel. Pepi’s staff were the nicest people who could not do enough for us. The hotel was fabulous, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was brilliant. Not one thing I can fault and believe me I’m fussy.
Cons: Only issue we had was parking but soon sorted that out

Cons: We loved everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, clean rooms
Cons: N/A
9.2 Excellent
Pros: What I surely noticed, from the warm welcome up until we said goodbye, was how friendly, polite and very helpful the people working there were. Even though we had a late evening arrival, Manusos (hope I spelled it right) and his colleague waited for us and offered a quick welcome drink, then making sure to explain everything and get us settled in. Same with all the nice ladies who helped with the delicious breakfast, making sure things were right. I also needed some help choosing and booking a good restaurant which, again, they helped with. So thank you all for that. I also liked the location of the hotel and also the facilities (nice interior terrace and pool, even if we didn’t stay at the pool). Rooms were also large and pretty well equiped. The beds were huuuuge. Bathrooms clean. Everyday they would clean and provide fresh towels. Breakfast was also very good, with a combo of open-bar and a la carte choices.
Cons: No stay is ever perfect, but this was very very good. What hindered us a bit was the fact that I would have loved the posibility to vent the rooms more without leaving the windows opened. Also, the ones who stayed on the 1st floor suffered a bit more from the heat than us at the ground floor. Sure, there is AC and it works, but it’s not a good idea to leave it on all night. Not sure there’s an actual solution to this that they could implement. It’s Crete, it’s warm. I would have loved it though if the wooden “windows” would have had some vents (instead of being solid wood) to allow the all day ventilation of rooms. However, the building being an old school (very charming), the owners wanted to keep it as original as possible, which I can appreciate. And that’s kind of it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pepi by far exceeded expectations, from the welcoming, friendly and helpful staff to the beautiful garden and exceptionally stylish plunge pool. It is an oasis in the old town and a perfect place from which to explore the shops and restaurants. I could not recommend Pepi more highly. Thank you so much for having us and getting our stay in Crete off to such a great starts the rest of our booked hotels now have an awful lot to live up to!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect in the town centre. The facilities are amazing and the pool very refreshing. Decoration is perfect with many little details. Breakfast is great with ample variety of food selection. Personal was very attentive and helpful. Totally recommend the place.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice welcome, great place in the heart of old town Rethymno, rooms look just like the pictures, close to the public beach but the private pool was very relaxing as well, a lot of cafés and restaurants nearby
Cons: Everything was great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room, really clean and very comfy bed. Very friendly staff and gorgeous breakfast. Great location!
Cons: Pool is small but nice sunbeds and a great hotel to stay while exploring Rethymnon
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is simply amazing! Everything was perfect: the room, breakfast and the area outside the hotel. It’s in the middle of the old town. There are plenty of great restaurants around. The staff is very friendly and, at the same time, absolutely professional. They organised birthday surprise for my husband, which was very kind! Thank you once again for making our stay so special! :) We will be back for sure :D

Cons: -
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly personnel, very helpful and welcoming! Always ready to help, including with personal issues. The hotel is very clean, quiet and nice. It is situated just 200 meters from the public beach and it is actually in the old city center.
Cons: There is nothing that we did not really like, but the breakfast variety could be improved. It is good in fact but after a week of stay one would expect some changes of what is served. Otherwise, the quality and assortment are quite good.
6.7 Good
Pros: Breakfast, cleanliness, politeness of staff
Cons: Location and no room service, no bar or food, besides breakfast, pool was pathetic.
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff was very nice and readily willing to help out. The breakfast selection was great with the chef available to explain and recommend what to have. In addition to the above the room was huge.
Cons: The lack of parking space was the biggest issue. The hotel was selected mainly for the fact that they had their own parking lot, only to find out upon reaching that it was full and had to look for parking on the nearby streets which took over 30min. This was very frustrating.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and such friendly staff. Cleanliness was excellent
Cons: Couldn’t fault anything
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was absolutely marvellous! About the staff, were very friendly and kind! The room was a big suite, was isolated from the other rooms so we had quite for the baby..We had also a bed for our 4mo baby next to our bed!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Ample and varied breakfast, with a nice, local touch. Convenient location between the beach and the old town. Wonderful staff!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Had our room upgraded for free! (We were here on weekdays so maybe they weren’t too full?) Staff was amazing, breakfast too! A/C was wonderful, so hot outside! Perfect distance from the beach but quiet at night ☺️.
Cons: No complaints.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely wonderful staff, they were polite, helpful and very friendly. We had some wifi-issues and they took it very serious. Amazing breakfast, comfortable beds, great location and very clean.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved this hotel. The owners, Michalis and Christiana, are wonderful and go out of their way to help you and provide great service. Rooms are modern, clean and well features.
Cons: Nothing. Whole stay was great and good value for money.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast on the beach, parking, sea front room, plenty of free chairs and umbrellas on the beach direct from the hotel. Complimentary water and fruit in the room. Very cosy hotel. Quiet, family -like feeling. We had dinner at the hotel once and it was excellent. Lovely reception staff.
Cons: Far from centre of town. Walking is not a problem for us, but walking 30 min under the sun or even in hot nights, was uncomfortable . Breakfast was good, though pressing the orange juice by myself resulted quite messy. I did not quite appreciate the two-level room. The bathroom was on a different level from the room and I would much rather not have the stairs. Very bad was the air-conditioning direct over our bed and heads . The area surrounding the hotel is not particularly nice. The sea is lovely but there are plenty of cobblestones, so we had to be really careful and enter /exit the sea really slowly. Also if the sea gets a bit rough, which we like because we enjoy the waves, for me it was impossible to enter or exit the sea because of the cobblestones.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. The offer of a complimentary Yoga class (Which I didn’t manage to make but would do if there again)
7.9 Good
Cons: The air condition was during the first night very loud. The friendly staff instructed us how to make it more silent, but the second night the air condition didn't work at all. The WiFi worked not properly in our room and on the balcony during our all stay, with frequent interruptions like several times per hour. This might be due to the location of our room between 2 routers.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful with the promenade to the centre on your doorstep. Rooms were very clean and had everything you need.
Cons: Restaurant food was poor but the breakfast was great next to the beach.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service was top level from the moment i walked in. To make things even better, we received an upgrade to a superior studio with view to sea which was magnificent. Beach was top with nice setup and clean sea. Fast wifi.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Right on the beach. Awesome staff. Amazing views.
Cons: Need to drive into town (or taxi), but worth it to be right on the beach.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best part of our accommadation in Iperion is "the people". Everyone was so nice and friendly. Our room was great with an amazing view. The beach is really so nice and clean.
Cons: The only small problem was to enter the hotel from the beach with lots of bags.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing staff, nothing is a problem for them! We also got upgraded as we had to shortened our stay due to illness and had already pre-paid our room, which was a very nice gesture from their side. The hotel is in a quiet place with no street between the building and the sand, which makes a real difference when you compare it with other hotels in the area. We love the fact that the chairs in the beach and beach towels are provided without any cost to hotel guests. The hotel is about 30min walk to Rethymno (or you can also rent a bike to shortened it a bit - a great option!). We also tried the hotel restaurant which we found a great value too! Overall, we're very pleased with our choice and totally recommend to any travellers considering the area!
Cons: The swimming pool could be bigger, but that's only a minor detail when you have the sea just in front.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great rooms, friendly staff, great view and beach, quiet area - almost perfect!
Cons: Only the breakfast has room for improvement - toaster doesnt´work properly, only one juicer (and wearing a raincoat is highly suggested ;-)) and the coffee is rather poor. "Real coffee" is available but has to be paid extra.
Dyo Suites - Rethymno - Building
8
9.4 Excellent (284 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Dyo Suites, you'll be centrally located in Rethymno, within a 5-minute drive of Fortezza Castle and Town Beach. Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything but mostly the rooftop jacuzzi and sunbathing area.
Cons: The only downside is I wish it had a pool which we knew it didn’t when we booked it but it would have just added that extra touch.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Jacuzzi didn't work
Cons: Amazing location, best location
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location, the space in the room, all the design, the furniture. The view is beautuful if you took a room with sea view. Also, the staff was amazing. Really helpful when we needed advice and very kind. Great service!
Cons: Some features on the digital panels were not working (the curtains, some lights: summer and romantic scenes for instance). The jacuzzi did not work either.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff and service. Excellent breakfast. The beach is right on the other side of the street. The center is not that far away.
Cons: A little expensive, though it was very nice. We would have enjoyed a swimming pool for that budget.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Looked clean modern and was very comfortable. The rooms were a good size. Beds were comfortable and the showers were great.
Cons: I didn’t like the fact that there was no pool. It was very windy and could not swim at the beach. It would of been good to have an alternative option for swimming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, great location, good breakfast, clean rooms. Everything was great!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect. 25min casual stroll from the the town centre where you will be spoilt for choice in amazing tavernas, restaurants and bars. Beach area is probably the best on the beach. Many locals seem to visit the hotels area, presumably because of the options available to sit on. They have bean bags, bean beds, sun beds and four poster beds. We found the music acceptable and not too instructive if you were trying to read or sleep! The room itself is beautifully decorated. Huge bed, funky control panels and see through shower plus the jacuzzi on the large sea view balcony all adds to the experience. Only negative was we didn’t really have any wardrobe or clothes space. One small rail available and would of been nicer to be able to hang up clothes rather than live out of a suitcase for the week. Breakfast was simply amazing. It is buffet style but off a menu. They have a fairly extensive breakfast menu to choose from; omelettes, eggs Benedict, pancakes, salmon and avocado, Greek yoghurt and fruit salad. Plus you have the pastry table which has biscuits and croissants. Simply order as much or as little as you like, perfect. Staff were so friendly and helpful. From the breakfast waiter to the receptionist to the beach staff. All were more than happy to help and always seemed to enjoy working.
Cons: Not much to complain about. Small things such as the wardrobe space and also if it had a pool. Although the beach negates that somewhat.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location. Fantastic rooms. Good food and lovely staff
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A stunning breakfast and the beach chairs were easy to secure.
Cons: I would prefer showers to be private rather than have glass doors.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. Hotel was brand new, staff were amazing and very helpful. Room was spotless. Very comfortable high tech rooms with spacious bathrooms and a balcony overlooking the sea. Restaurant staff worked so hard! Receptionists went out of their way to guarantee a comfortable stay. Location was just perfect. Will definitely come back again!
Cons: Nothing!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was delicious!! the location perfect (3min walk from the hotel to the beach + restaurants + mini super markets + souvenir stores + 15min walk to the old town). The room spacious and clean, the view from our terrace great! The staff was so helpful and polite!
Cons: The only minus: I payed for a massage but it was not good...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at Melrose Hotel as family. We got a great suite with balcony ideally suited for us ... perfect size, large bathroom! The rooms are all new, well kept and always cleaned. The hotel was ideally located for us: one minute to the beach (perfect for the kids), ten minutes to the old city centre and not noisy. We always found a parking lot close by. Breakfast was great ... a lot of choices, delicious food, just a perfect start into the day. But most important to mention the outstanding friendliness of the people at Melrose Hotel. Always helpful, a nice chat whenever you wanted. Especially our young daughter made friend with everyone and she won't forget the birthday surprise cake with the candles not able to blow out ;-) We will definitely come back!
Cons: Our stay was much too short .... :-(
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were truly amazed with our stay. The hotel is very beautiful, modern and clean. Very accommodating Staff overall and especially the Frond Desk. The hotel has a perfect location only a few minutes walking distance from the old town of Rethymno and with many restaurant options. We definitely wish to be back!

Atrium Ambiance Hotel - Rethymno - Bedroom

9.3 Excellent (448 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Atrium Ambiance Hotel in Rethymno, you'll be by the sea, within a 5-minute drive of Fortezza Castle and Town Beach. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and express check-in.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were very clean and well appointed. The staff were courteous
Cons: The hotel caters mainly for package tour groups. We were asked for a 2.5 euro per day surcharge to use the room safe, which was waived when we complained (we have never been asked for this at any other hotel). There is also a Euro 10 deposit for pool towels. Cannot get espresso coffee at breakfast, which is really unacceptable in a 4 star hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Booked half board for seven nights and the food was superb . Rooms were really spacious and spotlessly clean with a huge balcony .Staff throughout the hotel cleaners, reception , waitress's were always helpful and courteous , special mentions for Christos the Rooms Division manager who was able to accommodate me in the hotel at very short notice and was extremely helpful . Next time I am in Rethymnon I will definitely be staying at the Atrium Ambiance .
Cons: The only minor critisism I have is the lack of English channels on the television , but this is being very picky .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is great: recently renovated, clean, nicely designed. The staff members were always friendly and helpful. It's just a 30 minutes walk to the historical center from the hotel but there are many cafes, restaurants, and stores nearby. Their own restaurant served amazing breakfasts and dinners, it was hard to try everything because of the huge variety of tasty meals. The hotel doesn't have music parties and kids under 14 are not allowed, so it's also really quiet.
Cons: Paid drinks during the dinner, even a cup of tea.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were unbelievably helpful and kind. They couldn’t have been friendlier and the hotel couldn’t have been nicer in anyway. The waitresses were wonderful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very helpful and friendly (and i include everyone here, reception desk but also bartenders, cleaning staff or restaurant people) and made the stay amazing all along, also the pool is great, premises are excellent, just like the location, very close to the beach but at the same time really quiet, last but not least room was spacious, bed very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was always yummy, varied, fresh and tasty.
Cons: Some people might be less happy with the dinner buffet, but it's harder to make people happy that way than with the breakfast and in my opinion the staff did a great job with a Greek night with typical gyros, so even if it was a challenge, you could tell they made sure to try and make residents as happy as possible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely modern clean hotel. Excellent pool chairs and pool beds. Brilliant wi fi. So good we extended our stay by 2 nights.
Cons: Can't fault anything. Excellent hotel and facilities
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great pool area, yummy breakfast, loved the room
Cons: Pay for safety box, pay cash deposit for towels wasn't told so had to go back up to the 5th floor to get money, room towels like sand terrible
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and customer service was excellent. No problems with earlier breakfest/last mimute room switch. Also, super- communicative bartenders:)
Cons: Additional payment for drinks during the dinner
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice hotel location, big room, generous breakfast buffet.
Cons: Paying for mineral water during dinner is disgusting. Adding 10E to total hotel price is nothing but asking for everyday payment is really annoying. BTW, the water price is four time the market price. Had to ask a receptionist for a shower gel, no new gel bottle was brought to the bathroom in 4 days.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located in a perfect place to just walk to everrwhere, it also has breathtaking breakfasts and a privileged service. Cathrina is the best. If you ever come to Rethymno please stay here ! Best place ever !
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone was welcoming and helpful from the moment I booked the reservation to checking in as well as during my stay! I stayed upstairs in Room 3 with its own little porch and I think of it as the “Blue Room”. It was beautifully decorated with a private seating area as well as very comfortable bed and lovely artwork from the previous owner who was also a well-known Greek artist. The room has a deep bathtub and amenities for soaking after a day at the beach or exploring the Fortress in Rethymnon. The hosts were quick to offer coffee when I arrived and sat down with a map to acquaint me with the winding alleys that lead to the port and the beaches.
Cons: I think they’ve thought about just about everything you could need.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I wish I remembered her name but the woman at reception and who served breakfast in the morning was so very friendly, nice and helpful, giving us helpful advice and seeing to our every need. She couldn’t have been any better and made us feel right at home,
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Catherine and her mother were the best hosts very friendly and any requests where not a bother they were very accommodating and would highly recommend their hotel for your stay. We are just sad that we only stayed for one night!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice little hotel, a modern adaption retaining a sense of the old. Staff, including Catherine, very helpful and friendly, breakfasts plentiful and good to keep you going through the day. Food options in the old town are many and very tasty. Beaches in south of Rethymno province are superb, if you like lovely sand, mountain backdrop, and relatively calm waters for swimming. We visited Skinaria, Damnino and Theopetra beaches, albeit some windy roads, particularly Theopetra at end. Knossos worth a visit with guide.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect for sightseeing. Staff service was perfect and very kind, When I checked in, the staff gave detailed guidance about Rethimno with a map. The staff took care of everything about my stay including bus timetable for heading to Chania and Heraklion, information about good restaurants for dinner, etc... The staff helped me to go to taxi stand with a heavy suitcase after checking out. The service was wonderful and the room was so spacious and clean! I really appreciate the comfortable stay.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Convenient location. Extremely friendly and helpful personnel.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very good buffet breakfast - location with very nice restos around if you feel like trying a place out of the hotel although the resto is beautiful but pricy for Creta.
Cons: We didn't know you cannot access the hotel by car as it's located in the old town. So we had to leave the car about 800 m away and had to repack since we had to much luggage to drag through the crowded streets. In addition it was quite difficult to find.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If you're looking for a quiet, quaint hotel in a part of the city that is away from the cheesy touristy shops, this is your place. It is located amongst winding narrow streets filled with restaurants and beautiful shops. True Greece!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Localization is top. Is a very charming hotel. Loved it
8.3 Excellent
Pros: -Very good restaurant for dinner -Very helpful and polite staff -The location is great -decoration is perfect
Cons: -Stairs to the second floor no elevator -The window was facing in the hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely loved staying at the hotel! Amazing location, fancy old building, breakfast in the garden and lovely staff!
7.5 Good
Cons: Could turn lights off from bed
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice 600-years old building with a great location in the center of the old city. Cozy rooms with a nice atmosphere are equipped with all the necessary things
Cons: The bed was a bit small. The view from the room to the courtyard with a restaurant.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: In a great location tucked away in the old town. Beautiful setting for dinner in the courtyard restaurant and great food!
Cons: A very minor negative...Arrive early for breakfast as hot option might be gone!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a charming and lovely hotel. Right in the middle of the old city, but within a short (200 meters) walk of parking. Fabulous former monastery houses the hotel and transforms it into a beautiful and romantic space.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is ridiculous, you are short walk from all the things worth doing in Rethymno. The atmosphere the room creates is also beautiful.
Cons: Room 101 was close to the dining area, so light sleepers could get woken up by diners. Shower is quite small by American standards, but what isn't in Europe? Parking is also not particularly close. It's a little difficult to check out earlier than 8AM.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a beautiful building, in a beautiful part of a beautiful island. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Beach not far. History a plenty. Great staff A dream stay!

Pros: An almost ancient property, within the old town of Rethymnon, perfectly renovated. It makes you feel as you are home.
Cons: Everything perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was a lovely, peaceful oasis in the city. It's located perfectly to explore the city and the surrounding areas. The staff were very accommodating and always happy to give advice on activities, directions and where to eat. The rooms were lovely and nicely decorated. The breakfast was fabulous and we always looked forward to this.

Pros: Excellent location, close to the beach and lovely town. Staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel clean and felt like home. Would highly recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel Mythos is located in the very centrum of a beautiful town Retymno so everywhere is close. Hotel service is very nice and helpful. We felt at home!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming renovated hotel around a courtyard in the middle of the old town. Great room on two levels - plunge pool area delightful - excellent continental breakfast with fresh orange juice. Not accessible by car but there are local car parks and taxis and bus station 15 minute walk. Staff are all excellent, very helpful, nothing too much trouble and very friendly. We will return
Cons: Nothing - we travelled by bus from Chania - excellent bus service and we took a taxi to hotel from bus station. we were dropped a few minutes walk from hotel as hotel inaccessible by car
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The family team at Mythos suits were amazing and couldn’t have done more to make our Crete experience one to remember!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very lovely family run business in the heart of the old town! Location could not be better, walking distance from the beach, restaurants, bars, shopping.. we loved this place! Spacy and elegantly decorated room. Breakfast was very good. Hopefully we have a chance to return this little nice hotel! Excellent choice in Rethymon old city!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is amazing- small and sweet with excellent staff. It is located in the old town, however it is kind of hidden to others, and not noisy. So don't worry about the noise. Hotel is close to all the restaurants, shops and Venetian harbor. Beautiful beach is in a walking distance. Breakfast was good, fresh orange juice was served every morning. We loved both the city of Rethymno and Mythos hotel!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool is small because it is in a charming small courtyard. Great for a refreshing dip but not suitable for swimming lengths or pool games. Courtyard is pretty and appealing. Reception and all staff very pleasant and extremely helpful. Good English spoken, and German too. A friendly boutique hotel which is very central. As it is in the old town, in an interesting shopping street, taxis can drop you at the door but not minivans. Peaceful location at night with lots of good restaurants close-by.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: it has a good vibe, happy stuff, very friendly people, excellent breakfast, nice and relaxing
Cons: The room is a bit too dark and there's no hot water in the shower at late hours
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was here for 1 week, and felt so welcomed by staff from the moment I checked in. It was hard to leave. All around staff are friendly and with smiles. It does help that hotel is not overcrowded as not too big. Nikolita and Mario working the outside bar are great hosts. Can spend hours just having chats with them. Location was fantastic as the beach is around the corner. There were few occasions where I missed dinner service hours due to travelling. However, there's a great spot Sofias around the corner that do Greek cuisine at great price. Location is great too! about 30 minute walk to old town of Rathymno, 5 euro taxi trip or electric scooter. Nights spent in Bora Bora beach bar (5 minutes from hotel) and LUX in old town. Do recommend, Rooms are extremely clean! Loved the fact bathroom and shower units are separated. Air conditioning in room is very effective, were couple of nights where I underestimated and did get cold.
Cons: I had a car rented, it's very rare to find parking in front of the hotel. Ended up parking by the beach just a short stroll away.
6.7 Good
Pros: really good breakfast with lot of choice, and nice and helpfull staff during your breakfast
Cons: expensive for a standard room, no service, you can find much better in this area
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Superb staff - always eager and quick to help. Owner was on site every single day and always had the time for a chat. Bar staff were fantastic - you never waited more than a couple of minutes.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location excellent in cute Old town area that didn't have cars. Paid parking not too far off which wasn't a big deal. Room 11 was large and had a nice patio. Several of my friends in other room had either a gorgeous ground floor deck or rooftop deck. I really loved Rethymno. Gorgeous little seaside city.
Cons: Water pressure in the morning was not good but picked up after a while. I was still able to shower. Bathroom was nice and large with a huge tub/shower combo.

Pros: Loved the location. The kids loved the swimming pool and the apartment was just what we needed for a short stay.
Cons: N/A
7.9 Good
Pros: It was close to supermarket and also close to the main town area. The property was neat and had great facilities
Cons: Room could have been slightly cleaner on arrival, table was dirty and toilet had not been cleaned properly from previous guests.
7.1 Good
Pros: The room was lovely, newly renovated and clean and the staff were very polite and helpful. Very close to the beach and only a few minutes drive from the town centre.
Cons: There was a terrible smell in the room like damp/sewer odour. Also the breakfast room was cramped and the choices for breakfast were a bit weird (onions, broccoli etc.).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast, great localization and cool personel :) Close to the beach super market (few meters).
Cons: Bathroom could look better, but its ok anyway.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff at reception and bar!
Cons: Bath needs renovation!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved it so much we extended our stay, is central to everything & everywhere Easy parking and breakfast was amazing Staff were extremely helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly staff Modern rooms Private yard for parking around 50m from the hotel Breakfast Nice warm pool Close to the beach
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This property was a big surprise! Large and renovated rooms. Good breakfast. Just a 15 min walk distance to downtown.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We just stayed two nights, but we really enjoyed. The pool is nice. Great that there is a small part for young kids. Breakfast was fine. The supermarket next door, super! The beach is close by, a mix of sand with small stones. The hotel recommended to eat in restaurant 1+1. The mousaka wasn't that great, but we loved their salad with pine nuts and figs.
Cons: The bed sheets aren't made of the best quality. It would give a much better feeling of luxery if they would change this. The small walk to the beach was a bit dodgy, but honestly we liked that. :-)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We like the location of the hotel. The staff especially Ioannis the great bar man (fantastic cocktails) with a great personality with a warm welcome for everyone. Nitsa the lovely manager on reception, nothing is to much trouble for this wonderful lady. All of the hotel staff do a fantastic job of making your holiday an enjoyable experience and do theirs jobs to the highest standards. The hotel is kept very clean and tidy and this is a credit to the owner.
Cons: We have nothing to complain about

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast buffet was fantastic! We loved the variety. The front desk staff helped us a great deal with recommendations. We loved the pool area and the beach. Antonio was delightful and gave excellent service. Our room was very clean, comfortable and relaxing, to say the least!
Cons: More lighting over the vanity.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: it was a lovely hotel we had been staying up the coast and decided to stay in Rethymno for one more night and found your hotel. The staff were lovely the hotel was very clean and it had a lovely pool and a nice bar and great beach and also great value for money
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was more than what you could need. The hotel was decorated and finished to a lovely standard and the rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. The food was fantastic but the staff were what made the hotel really stand out. Every single member was very friendly and helpful always. Beach was great with plenty of beds and a nice view down the coast.
Cons: Drinks were expensive compared to the surrounding tavernas and bars. But hotels often are.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is on the first line and provides its clients with the sun beads and umbrellas. The room was quite OK, with nice large bed and a balcony. However, the large bed did not have one mattress on it, but two separate mattresses, which should be noted, but it did not disturb us a lot. The breakfast was nice and had choices of hot, cold dishes, fruits and sweets. Besides, it is very nice to have a breakfast on the summer terrace facing the sea. Also the hotel has nice pool, which was nice when the sea was stormy. The pool bar serves good drinks.
Cons: When choosing the hotel by stars, you expect not only services that could be provided, but a certain level of accommodation. The furniture was quite outdated and the bathroom was also quite uncomfortable with a narrow bathtub, which made showering not too comfortable with the curtain sticking all over you. Besides, the bathroom did not have a built-in ventilation, but a window, which was obviously facing the neighbors balcony, and when our neighbors smoked our bathroom was full of the cigarette smell.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: An ideal hotel for a beach and pool holiday. Directly on the seafront.
Cons: The location is further from the town centre than we had expected, but no big problem, as there are several good restaurants close to the hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Own beach and pool nice. Good breakfast and dinner, good service, helpful with advicing activities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location, walking distance from everything and our room facing the water was wonderful.
Cons: Our bathtub kept clogging, but was an easy fix. Maybe a bit outdated.
6.3 Good
Cons: Hotel parking is a joke. Small unpaved courtyard for 10cars
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, service, facilities, the beach, sun beds, towels, dinner, people on the reception
Cons: The breakfast: strange coffee in big kettles, no porridge (just twice a week), tea in metallic pots
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Nice staff, good bars and restaraunts! We loved the beach with sunbeds for the hotel guests just across the road wth the service from the hotel bar. Amaazing!
Cons: To be called a proper standardised 5 star hotel, rooms would need a bit of modernisation. In the bathroom, the paint from the ceiling was falling.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked the lovely cool garden, at the back of the hotel. It is a hidden gem and a very pleasant place for all times of the day!
Cons: I think that the ratio of the quality and the price could be better; by that I mean that I found the room overpriced. I have stayed in several hotels in Rethymno and the only excuse I can think for the price charged of is the high touristy season...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great stay, good location, very close to old town and beach. Room very comfortable and clean.
Cons: Poor selection at breakfast and the hot selection wasn't warm enough. The juice was not fresh.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Reception excellent,professional,helpful
Cons: Coffee in the roof pool very bad quality for 5euro!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great, fantastic position, all the staff very pleasant and ready to assist, They even organised breakfast for us at 6:00am due to our very early departure.
Cons: There ws nothing we did not like
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is very good. In just a few steps you are on the beach. A lot of markets & restaurants are in the area. To the Venetian Old Port you have to walk around 10 min. The breakfast was ok. The staff was great. The room was ok (except the bathroom). The pool is ok. Small but ok.
Cons: The bathroom in the room is a bit old and uncomfortable. The toilet paper is near to the power hose of the WC tank and from the condensation it get wet. Also the shower curtain which is not comfortable. They have no parking lots so if you rent a car you have to parked on the street. The street is full almost of the time so if you do not fiind a parking space you have to go to the Port to park it.(it s close but you have to pay around 10 Euro for 12 hours)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, central location, excellent buffet breakfast, swimming pool, quiet, big, and clean rooms. Overall we had a great time.
Cons: Bathroom a bit small
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely garden and pool are. Very comfortable bed. Good aircon
Cons: Rooms are very dated, shower isn’t the best, no iron in rooms
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff and very helpful. Good location no need for a car.
Cons: Bathrooms need updating.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: clean, location and friendly staff
Cons: difficult access for weel chair
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is not bad, between the beach and the city center, you can go walking to both places. There is a nice swimming pool on the terrace.
Cons: The hotel needs some investments if it wants to be considered as a 4 stars hotel. The room furniture and specially bathroom are a bit old. We had problems the first evening because the hot water was not working and we had a cold shower. They solved the problem in a couple of hours. The breakfast could be better, not natural juice, soluble instead of natural cofee, and limited choices.
