Reliable, filthy rental car at a good pricePros:The price. The car (Hyundai Sonata) proved to be comfortable, reliable and economical.Cons:The car was FILTHY when I picked it up, especially the interior. I asked for someone to do a walk-around with me, as there was way more body damage than noted on the rental paperwork, and they told me to pull the car into the non-existent light (it was past 9PM) and do it myself. I couldn't see out of the rear window, and they said that the car was dirty because of the California drought. I've never used water to clean the interior of any car... I asked for the windows to be cleaned and the lot attendant handed me a bottle of spray cleaner (not window cleaner) and a rag!!! The upholstery had caked-on food (I hope) and was full of (dog?) hair. Disgusting. Just because you're a third-tier renter of higher-mileage vehicles, don't skimp on service. You should be BETTER than higher-tier rental agencies at cleaning your vehicles because they NEED more attention.Reviewed 12 Oct 2015

Couldn't drop off vehiclePros:The customer service at pick upCons:When I tried to drop off the car, you couldn't get into the lot at 4am. They actually physically block you from entering the parking lot. Furthermore, there is no key drop box, and you're forced to leave the key in the car which isn't safe for obvious reasons. The shuttle driver even complained that every day he has to apologize on their behalf for not having a drop box and for not allowing cars to enter the lot. Every time I use Payless there are issues. Kayak was the issuePros:Car was new, it was an upgrade from what I booked.Cons:I tried to make two separate bookings on Kayak and neither worked. Both were open until 12 midnight. The only one that worked was Payless which closed earlier but there was no Information about this when I made the purchase. On top of that I paid for insurance but that information didn’t go through to Payless.Reviewed 26 Jun 2018

Horrible does not say enoughPros:NothingCons:There were no cars when we got there. And there wer about fifteen other people also waiting when we got there. All the employees were rude and frustrated. Dirty Car, Mediocre ServicePros:Nissan we rented was fine. Drove well. Operational.Cons:Staff seemed disinterested and mildly hassled, despite the fact we were the only people at the facility. Place is a dump, a few miles from the airport. Rep pressured me heavily at least three times after I repeatedly refused insurance. Car was dirty on both outside and inside. Did not bring it up when leaving because we did not have time to hassle with it. Told them when we returned the car and showed them trash that was not ours. Return rep was nice, but offered no compensation or solution for our trouble.Reviewed 9 Nov 2015

Only accept credit cardPros:Horrible customer service. Never got to rent the car as they would not accept a debit card or debit card plus deposit as a payment method. They were very rude. Especially to a traveler that had has a long flight and was just tired.Cons:When you book the car, they accept online a debit card as a payment method. However, when you get there, they only accept credit card. I have no credit card and so they would not rent to me at all. I was stranded at their rental place and had to rent for much more money from a different company. They were not hopeful at all and mostly rude. I will never rent from them again.Reviewed 13 Sep 2016

Off site facility adds half an hour or morePros:A driver was already there to take us to the off site location which helped mitigate the hassle of leaving the car rental facilities at the airport. The rental car was great: new, clean, comfortable.Customer service was excellent. Leaving, we had some difficulty getting on the freeway due to construction, which added more time to our journey.
