Car was clean and price was relatively inexpensive.The car had a dying battery which we had to replace ourselves out on the road. They reimbursed us for the battery and cables (that we bought to try to jumpstart the old one), but they didn't reimburse our taxi and time costs. Also, insurance prices are very high and they all came upon signing papers.

Unfortunately, checked in early to receive a car! There were no cars to be had.... this was around 830am, told me she should receive one by 5pm in the evening! That did not work as were driving 5 hrs away to the beaches! Will not rent from this company again! Very disappointed....Offer the car that is promised to the guest!

Despite our many problems (see below), the staff were relatively friendly and helpful. (For example, the manager provided us with his personal cell number when we called to express our concern that the engine light had gone on and we were afraid of breaking down on a remote road somewhere.)Our problems were many. Kayak linked us to carrentals.com which announced on their website that the rental price included the liability insurance required by the Mexican government. However, there was nothing mentioning this on the confirmation documents that we received and Economy Rentacar told us that we needed to buy our own policy @ $18 US per day. (They did lower it to about $16 per day after we complained.) They told us that the car we rented was a 2019 model but the registration said it was a 2015 and it looked and ran like it was even older. It had not been cleaned in a very long time and was filthy inside. It had dents, scratches and peeling paint on almost every square inch, really a piece of junk. We have rented cars all over the world and this was by far our worst experience. A bad mark for Kayak and car rentals.com as well, we felt ripped off from beginning to end.

Staff was helpful and pick up and drop off were good.The price quoted on Kayak website is not accurate. The cost of about $5/day is really about $23/day because of required insurance, even though other websites covering car rental is Mexico say the insurance is required to be included in quoted prices. Note that they will put a $1500 hold on you credit card for possible car damage even if your credit card covers any damage to the car. Also note that what they call an intermediate car is really a compact. Otherwise interaction with car local company is good. Rental date April 2021.

Stuff was good, thanks Marco for understanding, but when you return car 1:30 hours later, because its hard to predict traffic-jam in new city in festival day + serpentine 8 hours road before and rental ask you for additional day (but the day before in this great rental was NO cars, despite my booking was 1 month before and only 1 option from rental was - wait please 8 hours! 8 hours !!! ou, and even no appologies or of course compensation) So bad experience at all.Try to help me to answer after you read previous message

The original price. False, turns out you also have to purchase insurance on top of your insurance (don’t do it), an undisclosed deposit was required, vehicle wasn’t even there to rent even though I booked it weeks in advance, booked in advance and couldn’t get a refund, and if it says there’s an airport location think twice, because it was incorrect. Avoid this place!!!Airport location, full transparency on pricing, available customer service, vehicles to be available when you pay in advance. It goes on...

Skip this place. They didn’t have a vehicle even though it was booked weeks in advance. They wanted a previously undisclosed deposit that happened to be outrageous. I couldn’t get a refund because I purchased in advance. They said they had a pickup and drop off at the airport, and didn’t find out it was 5 miles out until arriving back at the airport. This whole process was a disaster. I went with Europcar rentals instead, they were transparent, they had an airport location, and they had vehicles available.
