9.6 Excellent
Pros: I looked at a lot of other hotels before I booked, and I saw many of them in person after we arrived, and I’m so glad I chose Quinta Real Oaxaca. The best hotel in the city. Location is absolutely perfect, in the most upscale and boutique area, yet very close to all the more crowded and noisy touristic areas. Room size (208) was just fine, with a gorgeous window that opened to a little plaza across the street. There is very little noise because we had interior wooden shutters, gorgeous wooden windows, and then a modern window on the exterior of the building. Breakfast buffet was delicious, and the folkloric dance show was a highlight. Nice selection of toiletries and wonderful housekeeping and bellhops.
Cons: It was absolutely perfect.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I would recommend this boutique hotel to anyone. I traveled alone and the staff was so helpful in suggesting a driver to me who could take me to multiple sites. They were friendly and helpful about everything, down to the regular staff -- always pleasant and charming. There were always people washing down the steps and tiles. The place is spotless and absolutely charming. Chirping birds in hanging birdcages, a lovely courtyard with trees and tables, a small restaurant where I could get dinner if I didn't want to be out late in the City. Perfectly located just 1/2 block from the main square and walking distance to everything in central City. They made my stay there so easy and pleasant. I would go back there again and recommend them to everyone.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Beautiful decore. Located near all the happenings. Got us a taxi when needed. Birds are great! Never bothered us at sleeping time, and entertained us during the day.
Cons: The sink stopper was not properly adjusted, but we made it work. No drawers for your underwear, but two small shelves could be used. We got a King size bed that nearly took the whole room. In the US you could get a larger room with King Size bed in a good location for the same price, therefore making the room in Mexico a bit pricy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Especqially liked the staff service...our room cleaner, all the restaurant staff, hotel janitors, etc. Haydee, our roomcleaner, made hilarious towel animals i have sent pictures of to friends. EVeryone was courteous and smiles. We felt at home. food was delicious too.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location. A couple of the Managers were nice and helpful. Small boutique hotel.
Cons: Breakfast was not that good and twice they didn't have basics like eggs, etc. Tiny bathroom. Hit my head on a hanging shelf. Workers hammered and sawed at night despite our request to Management to handle. Did give 25% off for that one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the employees were very friendly and helpful. The room was decorated nicely and the bed was extremely comfortable. The entire hotel was immaculately clean. I would definitely go back. I totally recommend it.

Pros: Spacious clean room, delicious breakfast, comfortable bed, great location and an extremely helpful staff make this small hotel a welcoming retreat and a great place to stay. The peaceful trickle of water from a courtyard fountain sets the mood. Plants, birds and artwork amplify the serenity. Located on part of an old aqueduct in an artistic, happening part of the city, with nearby sights and restaurants. Staff arranged airport pickup and tour at our request.

Overview Reviews
Located in Oaxaca (Centro), Hotel Las Mariposas is a 5-minute walk from Oaxaca Ethnobotanical Garden and 11 minutes by foot from Oaxaca Textile Museum. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and a library.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Basic breakfast of coffee/tea and bread or pastry was included in the room charge. It was fine and all I needed.
Cons: Refrigerator was a bit noisy when running in the night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very alert to our needs and friendly, loved the quiet and the courtyards, location 10 min from Zocalo and Santo Domingo, ATM very close by, gated entrance, whimsical art and decor everywhere.
Cons: Protein at breakfast would’ve been nice but we had a kitchenette and made omelette.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely beautiful eco-hotel. The fountain, the plants, the lovely tile work. The room itself was beyond expectations, very well decorated and comfortable. The staff were also just so friendly and helpful and able to accommodate our last minute requests. Location nearby everything and in ideal part of town. Better than perfect stay at Las Mariposas!
Cons: Nada
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located centrally, in a neighbourhood full of bars and restaurants, yet is very quiet. The patios are beautiful and the staff were helpful. The breakfast cake was delicious! Very good value for money overall.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to town Beautiful setting Very well set up and has a really good vibe to it with super cool staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Looked just outside the main tourist area, this guest house style hotel is quiet and confortable. Beautiful gardens and common areas. I loved it!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The gardens are lovely. The beds are comfortable and the fan in the room worked well. The staff was perhaps the friendliest staff I've run into and I have traveled quite a lot. The location is excellent.
7.5 Good
Pros: The studio room we had was big, with high ceilings, simply decorated yet had everything we needed, with a new nice kitchen. Close walk to everything - Santo Domingo church, Etnobotanica garden, even the Zocolo. The fresh food market close by (10 min walk) had amazing tamales and was good for buying what we needed to cook breakfasts with in the studio. It has a beautiful garden/ grounds in the centre of the hotel, possibly a room at the back would be nicer and more relaxing.
Cons: Our room was right next to the street and what once were doors leading to the street were plastered up and weren't very good sound proofers - we heard really loud traffic from 7am every morning. The toilet was a small room with an open roof into the studio apartment so if you are travelling with another person you can hear everything that is going on in the toilet (in case that puts you off). The hotel lets vendors into the grounds to sell things like textiles and clothing, another off-putting thing as you can't even relax in the gardens without people trying to sell you something. They charged us over double what you can pay in the markets close by for what we bought so we felt scammed since we were just trying to support locals. My Mexican partner was the one who spoke to and bought the items from these women so it wasn't even like they were ripping off gringos. When we brought this up with hotel staff they gave us our money back which was nice and we went elsewhere to support locals that were being fair in their prices. Breakfast is literally coffee & cake so best not rely on that and make your own if staying in a studio or go out. Also, we didn't get a very friendly vibe from the hotel staff in reception, got the impression they just wanted to sell (overpriced) tours and not offer advice on how to do things on a budget/ catch local buses etc so they could make more money by selling their own products- the whole point we booked with them was because they were a budget accommodation. We stayed at Parador de Alcala hotel (a 4 star) prior to staying here and the staff were much more friendly and helpful in this manner - I'd stay there again but not here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was an excellent value. The place was spotless and the staff was excellent. The breakfast was more of a snack but Oaxaca has delicious breakfast food so no big deal. I think it was the perfect place to stay.
Hotel Parador De Alcalá Oaxaca - Oaxaca - Building

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect to discover the city, restaurants and main places to visit In Oaxaca. Breakfast was great, the bed was so comfortable and the rooftop with the pool was quite enjoyable after a busy day visiting the city!
Cons: Sometimes it could be a bit noisy at night where we could hear music from the hotel restaurant on top of regular noise from the street. This is due to the central location but it did not prevent us from sleeping well!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, large room, pool, lovely staff
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The situation of the hotel in the historic center The breakfast are very good The terrace with the swimming pool on the root top
Cons: We did the check in very early in the morning and the receptionist was really not friendly at all and was texting on his phone while doing our checkin. Except this person, everyone else was very nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The courtyard was amazing and the food from the restaurant is really good as well.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location is perfect. The facilities are clean, modern and comfortable.
Cons: The personnel was not friendly or helpful in any way. The tour agency located at the hotel is expensive and unreliable. They didn’t honour our trip, we woke up early for nothing. The swimming pool is not as big or nice as seen in the photos. The facilities miss the local character that seemed to be almost everywhere else in the city.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was the best. It was really clean and neat. The suite was huge with a little balcony and really high ceilings.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The building is beautiful and my room was functional. Great bathroom. The staff was really nice and helpful. The breakfast menu is extensive and tasty. The hotel is very nice located in the centre.
Cons: Just because this section needs to be filled, I would say that the curtains were not blacking out light enough and the courtyard was a bit noisy at night. Nothing that ruined my stay. On another note I arrived very early from a night bus journey and could not do an early check in and I think it would have been nice to get a complementary breakfast.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Most comfortable bed in Mexico! Very central location. Small pool on the roof for relaxing after a day of touring. Great views from the roof. Two small water bottles given to us daily by cleaning staff.
Cons: Our room was off the restaurant on the first floor and one morning a large, very loud group was sitting at a table right outside our door, talking and laughing from 8 am. I hate to complain about people having fun, but it was so loud and I wasn't feeling well that morning. It was impossible to rest any further. Hotel and restaurant staff did not ask them to lower the conversation and laughter, despite being right outside of guest rooms. We ate breakfast around 10 and they were still going strong with just a pot of coffee on the table. Meanwhile. We paid $400USD for the room and couldn't relax! It was appalling that staff didn't ask them to keep their voices down. We only saw this group on this day and several persons were wearing button up shirts that had an embroidery mentioning Monte Alban, similar to what tour guides might wear or some kind of employee. We figured they may have been local tour guides and not even hotel guests. Regardless, they were obnoxious. I didn't care that they were there, just wanted them to be a little quieter. I thought when we came out for breakfast they would realize that guests were only a few feet away. They were oblivious. I complained to front desk after breakfast and they must have said something because the group left when we were back in our room and were never heard from again during our stay. Free breakfast offered plenty of food but wasn't very good. Decent flavors, but the beans and bread seemed old. The tortillas were stale. We ended up eating elsewhere most days. Our room didn't have any windows. It felt like a tomb and we could never tell what time of day it was. The power in the room goes on with inserting a key into a slot that by the door. So when we removed it, the alarm clock would also be off and the time was never correct. Very disorienting especially without a window. Although lack of a window made for very sound sleep.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The pool, the staff, the location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very Clean. Good location. Friendly staff.
Cons: No fridge in the room

Easy walk to many of the historic centro locations and eateries but very little street noise.
Cons: Not enough oxygen... just kidding. Reminder to low landers - even though Oaxaca is nestled in a valley surrounded by several mountain ranges, it is still a high altitude city.
7.1 Good
Pros: Near Santo Domingo church and sites at a walking distance
Cons: Cleanliness in restroom
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Knew it was a mid-range hotel going in so did not expect a great restaurant, pool or other similar amenities promoted by higher end hotels. Room had excellent air conditioning, staff was fantastic (where else does the maid service make animal sculptures out of the towels every day?), location was very good, breakfast a bit weak, but a nice terrace and rooftop for lounging in the evening. Highly recommend
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and well taken of. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast on their terrace was a lovely way to start the day. The food was very good, fresh and thoughtfully prepared.
Cons: My room was located in the bottom of the complex with not enough outside air circulating to the room itself. as a consequence the room stayed too warm until late into the night. The housekeeping service was excellent, however.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming, nice terrace, pleasant staff and well located
Cons: Tiny bathroom with unpleasant plumbing odor
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, 10-15 mins walk from everything. I was a solo female traveler and I felt safe walking back to the hotel from a local bar round 1 AM. The staff was very helpful in helping me coordinate my excursions and helping me finding transportation. The rooms where very clean and accommodating. They had a television with Netflix which was a nice treat. They provided two complementary water bottles a day which was wonderful. Breakfast was available until pretty late most days. No need to wake up early.
Cons: The bed where a bit stiff for me.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was the perfect place to stay in Oaxaca! My room was big and roomy, and would cool down quickly within a few minutes of having the fan on. The breakfast each morning was delicious and generous, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped me book tours and taxis and always gave very clear directions when I was looking for places. I always felt very safe at the hotel and in the surrounding neighbourhood. I will stay here again next time I'm in Oaxaca.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The best location you can ask for in Oaxaca - just 2-minute stroll from Zocalo. Very attentive breakfast staff offering option of a complete American/Mexican or a Continental style breakfast. Cooked to order eggs or a fruit platter with toast and fresh bread roll. Breakfast was offered to us free of charge if we opted to pay cash for the stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It is one block from the Zocalo - couldn't ask for a better location - It was also close to a great café - Brujula on Alcala Street - also a block away - right up from the Xocalo -- I don't eat breakfast... Without exception the staff was really wonderful - helpful - available
Cons: Only complaint -- the bed was AWFUL!! I slept in a valley -- I slept on the floor a couple of days I didn't tell them
7.5 Good
Cons: The room that we got was facing the road, which was extremely noisy also during the night.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building. The room was clean and spacious. I loved the courtyard. Very quiet location just off the Zocalo. Breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed our stay.
Cons: No air conditioner. The rooms at night got very warm. They did provide fans that were helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is super accommodating and relaxed, everybody knows who you are and what room are you in. We left the door open by mistake at one point and nothing went missing from our luggage. The breakfast food is great in taste and hearty in portions. The location cannot be beat, it’s two streets away from the main plaza, 5 front Santo Domingo convent. It’s my second time staying there and I’ll go there again on my next visit.
Cons: At night there was a drunky-hobo tupe person walking around yelling stuff. He got picked up by the police but he screamed and yelled for a while before they brought he van to take him in for disorderly conduct. It’s bound to happen in a downtown area and he wasn’t violent or dangerous, just annoying cause it was like midnight and he was yelling loudly. Nothing to do with the hotel, but happened on the same street.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was super friendly and helpful from the front desk to the cleaning staff. The location was superb.
Cons: Suggest not allowing outside vendors into the lobby, they charged twice as much for the same scarf (rebozo) that I found at the local market.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect and room was tidy and clean.
Cons: No AC
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and very helpful, especially Denise who made us comfortable, gave us lots of advice on what to do and where to go. The location is great and the building is lovely.
Cons: The mattresses were rather firm.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: It was a historical romantic building that is simply magical..... There was a room that I initially stayed in which lacks ample windows for air circulation..... not good. The staff was more than happy to oblige the next day for a room change that has open balcony windows........so much better
Cons: Lack of aircon in the hot humid weather..... beware. it's a historical building

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was near everything which was major plus for us ! It was very clean, the staff are super helpful and booked tours for us as well as cars. The food was very good and the restaurant is open until late which is great if you’re coming back late from tours and want to nap before dinner. We will definitely be returning here. They made out stay in Oaxaca more than wonderful !!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Courtyard dining area.
Cons: Photos look better than in real. Breakfast only limited to 2 local dishes. Advanced indication of the room being on the ground floor would have been appreciated. While the listing says "The staff speak English", in reality their English is very limited and most of the time not helpful.
5.7 Okay
Cons: shower had very little to now water at some point; water pressure was minimal, if any; hot water takes a good 5 minutes to start working, and then it is impossible to regulate. either you get burnt or freeze.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the food from the restaurant and the garden walk to our king suite. The staff was extremely kind, helpful and friendly. I loved everything!
Cons: Got little bites - might’ve been from the garden.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There is nothing else I could've asked for. I almost didn't want to leave to hotel, because the ambiance in the inner courtyard was just so magical. I can't recommend this place more.
Cons: Really - nothing! It was excellent!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was good and great for a morning perk up. It filled your belly in case you couldn't have lunch. The staff Juan Carlos made it feel very home like and no question was a silly question. Thank you Christopher for your restaurant recommendations.
Cons: I think having extra maleterras( suite case rack) for each guest would be helpful, especially for senior citizens who can not bend too low.

Cons: kitchen just have 2 stove, difficult to cook at the same time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location and very helpful staff
Cons: They allowed too many people to be booked into a room and one night there was a woman sleeping on a chair for whom there wasn’t enough beds... she snores!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly ! Have a good location and very clean everything! Good showers and good beds
Cons: The internet was bad
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Late checked in and breakfast with fresh brewed coffee in the morning.
6.7 Good
Pros: It was a convenient location.
Cons: They had no room For me in the first night and then put me in one of the staff rooms and then when I was changing rooms, I had to wait forever. No English with staff.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staffs are so friendly and willing to help though they do not know English. The bed sheet is clean with good smell. Clean kitchen and toilet. Warm shower water.
Cons: There is no door between the washroom and sleeping room. It can be a bit disturbing if somebody is using the toilet during the sleeping hr.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The terrace on the roof is nice
Cons: I really felt like the staff was cold and that they were are there for the money.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, breakfast and staff are great. Beds have their own night light and power outlet
Cons: Place didn't have any backpacker feel/vibe. Felt more like a hotel than a hostel. Not too many foreigners. Wifi is very poor. They charge an additional tax on top of the quoted booking.com price. They didn't allow me to check in earlier even though the bed was available. Can't put your own locks on the lockers. Cramped toilets. They charge too much for their tours
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Basic accommodation, no air con, only a fan. Quite close to everything.
Cons: They wouldn’t give me the price from booking for the second night, so I only stayed one night.

Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A shuttle from the hotel to the airport is available for a surcharge.
7.1 Good
Pros: The prices are ok, the young guys at the lobby were very helpful and nice. It’s one block away from Santo Domingo, around 10 mins in taxi from the ADO bus station. The breakfast was good (although the included breakfast was only a continental breakfast, so we needed to upgrade the breakfast and influences the actual price of the “included” breakfast.
Cons: The windows are not sealed, so you can hear the people having breakfast in the next room !!! We could hear the bar tv. Terrible. The breakfast was supposed to be included, once we had already paid for the room and arrived at the hotel, the lady at the front desk said that we wouldn’t be able to have any breakfast but only the continental, coffee, cereal and a plate of fruit: we had to pay more if we wanted a normal breakfast. Just better skip it and eat at wonderful restaurant in the city. The noise coming from the bar and the breakfast tables was extremely loud!!!!!just take some ear plugs or go somewhere else.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location is outstanding
Cons: Lacked love and care to make it feel like really really oaxaqueño.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, very clean, helpful staff, and a lovely building
Cons: Our room was right off the dining room so we could hear any conversation going on there. The bed was very firm but not uncomfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, delicious breakfast, location close to everything. Home away from home!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent - easy to walk everywhere in the centro. The best part is the staff, they were amazing and went above and beyond to assist us. We had a lost passport situation and Briceyda was so incredibly helpful - she found a place to get a passport photo that was open late, called a taxi and arranged for the taxi driver to translate at the photo shop. Without her help, we might not have made our original flight! All of the reception staff were incredible, but Briceyda was wonderful!
Cons: Nothing! It was a perfect stay at Casa Antigua!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is very well situated for visitors, near important local sites, museums, etc.; restaurants and cafes; shopping. Good choice for physically challenged persons if you specify at time of making your reservation that you need a ground floor room. The ground floor rooms do not have windows, but the AC unit in these rooms provides decent air circulation and temperature control + the bathroom in my unit (Etla) was huge and clad in stone. My bed was super firm, and I like it that way; but if you’re into a soft mattress, not going to be your fave.
Cons: Acoustic separation is an issue because of the way in which the ventilation works for rooms facing the internal courtyard - the room transoms are designed to provide airflow between the rooms and the central courtyard. But that also means there isn’t a high level of acoustic separation. If you are sensitive to noise at night, bring earplugs. It’s not a major issue as long as you know this in advance.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good location, large rooms, excellent service.
Cons: Noise in the courtyard can be loud, especially late at night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and attentive Great location Very quite
Cons: Wife said bed a little too hard for her It was good for me
10.0 Excellent
Pros: That it was quite central to go to the main visiting activities, so walking distance to several places making it handy especially for the elderly. Also, friendly and helpful staff. Good quality food and spacious and nice rooms.
Cons: The price of a room with single beds was more expensive than the price for a room with a double bed, so it maybe should be the same price.

Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. Event facilities at this hotel consist of a conference center and a meeting room. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love the public spaces and sunlight.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was well situated within the central area of the city, and is very lovely and serene. The room was comfortable and well appointed. We really enjoyed our stay!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious (coffee not so much but plenty of options in town). Rooms exceeded expectations. Location was ideal.
Cons: We left town for short excursion to Puerto and its beaches. On early morning ride to airport, my daughter realized she had left her rings in her hotel room bathroom, so we called the hotel to let them know. When we returned to pick up the rings, we were told they never found them. It was obvious though from their response they were being dishonest: either the receptionist we called never relayed the message to the cleaners or the cleaners took or threw away the rings (which were not made of precious metals and only held sentimental value). Our daughter was heartbroken and this misstep on the hotel's part unfortunately dampened our otherwise wonderful experience in Oaxaca.
7.9 Good
Pros: Hotel Azulejo was clean and the staff was extremely helpful. They offered to help us with extras like looking for a parking spot and getting pricing to ship an item. The water at this hotel was not safe to drink. I thought it was a beautiful hotel, however, the acoustics are challenging though, everything echoes through the courtyard and into your room.
Cons: Drankable water.
7.5 Good
Pros: Everyone at the hotel Azul was very helpful and gracious. Our room and all of the areas in the hotel were well-designed and special. Our breakfast, included in our stay, was delicious!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Centre location in Oaxaca city. Friendly staff. Beautifully designed. Roof top terrace.
Cons: Wouldn’t have chosen wooden shutters in rooms. If you want privacy, you close the shutters, but sound still comes in and goes out... Also, when shutters are closed you need to turn on the lights in your room because all natural light is blocked. I would prefer glass window and light curtain - combining sound proof and privacy with natural light.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the bed and the sheets.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Facilities were clean and well kept. The food was excellent.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The attention to detail, design, location.
Cons: Bathrooms, hospitality could have been better.

Pros: Great experience in Oaxaca down town
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything is very close. Restaurants , stores, atracciones etc .
Cons: Clean and staff very friendly
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and great value. The staff organized day trips for our group of 15 people and airport transfers for everyone.
Cons: There was quite a bit of noise in the morning given the shaft in the bathroom that connects the rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is well managed, secured, and amigable. The best part about it is that it so close to the zócalo, Santo Domingo, Alcalá street and more tourist attractions.
Cons: There is nothing not to like. The price is a bit high, but you’re paying for the city location which cannot be beaten.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and accommodating staff
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, short walk to all major attractions. Staff very helpful. Very large rooms which was great, also very clean.
Cons: The shower water pressure was very bad
7.1 Good
Pros: It’s convenient and has everything you need
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect, woke up to birds from the courtyard instead of traffic noise, staff were helpful and friendly.
Cons: There was a funky smell in the room even though it was clean, and as we couldn’t change rooms (they were full) the staff put fragrant flowers and an aromatic vessel to try to help, which it did somewhat.

Cons: The bath looked a little old but had hot water
6.7 Good
Pros: Simple room but clean and refurbished recently. Nice patio. Good location.

6.3 Good
Pros: Good location, cheap and cheerful
Cons: No windows in room apart from light well which couldn’t be covered Small double
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The complimentary breakfast was just amazing and the entire hotel was just adorable. The location was perfect, since it was only one block away from the ❤️ Of the city (Zócalo). In addition, it’s right across from Shopping and el Mercadito.
Cons: I didn’t appreciate that we were left without any towels one day and constantly had to ask for additional toilet paper after our third night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Maximum 15 minutes walk to any of the many famous restaurants in the city. Right next to the two major mercados and the zocalo.
Cons: Everything was great.
7.1 Good
Pros: It's right next to the Zocalo and a lot of good markets, very central and clean. It was great to have AC, the courtyard was very pretty and relaxing to lounge in. The staff was very polite
Cons: Sounds carry easily. We were on the lower floor and our room (104) was right in front of the area where the cleaning staff gathers their cleaning supplies, water etc and it was loud early in the mornings. The mattresses were not super comfortable. The breakfast was repetitive, chips with a different salsa each morning, I would have appreciated more variety.
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: The location was good...... Close to Centro. Coffee, yogurt, granola and papaya were nice for breakfast.
Cons: We had NO hot water. This hotel claims to be pet-friendly on this website but we were surprised on check-in with Terri's flippant comment that dogs weren't allowed. I showed her the reservation sites which state that they allowed pets. She said the info was a mistake! I offered to leave for a refund but she permitted us to stay....As it was raining...We were grateful but cannot recommend this hotel since we couldn't even shower, the water was ice cold. I've since read that this is typical.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Be careful with the the glass on the table. very easy to broken !
5.6 Okay
Pros: Location, bar
Cons: Worn out towels;bedding. No plu in sink and plush ole dirty. Bedroom needed repainting
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location is their best asset
Cons: Pool was so cold; but nothing that changes the overall experience
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is great. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Love having the pool to cool off in after the day. Beautiful location.
Cons: The beds are very firm..a little too hard for my liking. But the room was nice with a view of the courtyard and pool.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient to tourist attractions, galleries, museums, street fairs. Tall young woman on the morning staff was bi-lingual, very friendly and gave the best hints about finding items (ibuprofen, coffee) in the neighborhood. The restaurant was quite good (especially the shrimp pasta) and in the mid-range price-wise (as is the hotel). The bed was firm (as I like it) and overall it made a budget-conscious trip very affordable. There is a programmable safe in the room which can easily fit a camera, a laptop, lenses, and valuable documents without issue.
Cons: The windows on interior rooms are arranged around small shafts that carry sound -- other guests, showers, etc. This was an issue after 1 a.m. Additionally, there was renovation being done on hotel rooms from very early in the day, most days of the week (including weekends). The pool is relatively small and in a courtyard surrounding by the building so that hours of poolside sunlight are limited. Since I was there for more than a week, these items came in to play. I don't offer this as criticism, just for awareness when booking. Also, there is an envelope for tips on the nightstand -- when I had no small bills to put inside, service declined. I preferred less service, but even when I left the do not disturb sign on the door, I found my room cleaned. I am a very private person, so this felt a little bit like a violation.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is great just a few blocks from the zocalo and main attractions. The places is a bit old but charming. The rooms were clean and large. The staff was very kind and helpful.
Cons: The curtain in the shower was very short and when you take a shower the whole bathroom was a flooded mess.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Serve staff restraunt location Location of hotel
Cons: Overall experience staff and the restraunt was great
7.9 Good
Pros: Excellent location! And having a restaurant in the hotel was a plus.
Cons: The shower in room 307 was terrible—just a tiny spray! The hotel restaurant coffee was a disappointment—it was either instant or just very, very weak brewed coffee, but definitely not what I expected in Oaxaca!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful and courteous
Cons: The water was quite cold from the shower and the air conditioning light was extremely bright in the room at night.
