Unfortunately I don’t have much positive to say about the company or the car we had for a week. Our vehicle had stains on every seat. Additionally, not explicitly stated beforehand was that the company requires a substantially higher motor vehicle insurance than most. They charge an additional $20 per day to increase the insurance coverage. Had I known this before traveling I would have called my insurance agent and increased the coverage for the week. The two options they offer for handling SunPass tolls are both akin to highway robbery. Given the shear amount of toll roads in Miami you have no choice but to purchase a toll package from them. Overall I don’t feel that the little bit of money I saved by going with them over Avis, Budget, etc. was worth it after having the car for my week-long trip.

The Nissan forte I rented had over 40,000 miles on it. Towards the end of the trip the gas gauge was not registering properly even though the tank was filled up it said 245 miles to empty. In the future I will rent from a national car rental company at the airport.

I wouldn’t recommend this company , I got to Miami late at night. The office was already closed. I lost my money. I don’t think this is a good company. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Never book a car at this company! Worst experience ever. Die schlimmste Erfahrung, die ich je bei einer Autovermietung hatte. Bei der Autovermietung angekommen warteten mit mir 2 weitere Personen, welchen es wie mir erging. Bei der Dame vor mir wurde behauptet, dass ihre Kreditkartendeckung nicht ausreichen würde, was komplett erlogen war und das Unternehmen stornierte einfach, ohne Absprache ihre Reservierung. 500€, welche sie nicht zurückbekommen hat und kein Auto. Mir wollten sie eine komplett überteuerte Versicherung andrehen. Ich wollte eine schriftliche Bestätigung, was die Versicherung beinhaltet, welche mir verwehrt wurde und bei dem nächsten Kunden wurde einfach seine bereits abgeschlossene Autoversicherung nicht akzeptiert. Eine Stornierung war zwar möglich, jedoch würden wir keinen Cent zurück erhalten. Die Polizei wurde von der Dame vor mir gerufen, welche jedoch machtlos war. Letztendlich haben die Frau und ich mehrere hundert Euro verloren, ohne ein Auto zu erhalten und der Mann bezahlte anstatt 112€ in etwa 480€ + 250€ Deposit, von dem nie die Rede war. Bitte mietet da niemals ein Auto und falls es bereits zu spät ist, redet mit eurem Kreditkarteninstitut. Ich habe die Hoffnung mein Geld zurück zu bekommen noch nicht aufgegeben.

This rental company is a trap: our online reservation was $303 for a week. We ended up paying about $700. The added cost: 1) Insurance. They refused to take my own car insurance saying our insurance company was not on their list of accepted companies (I should have read their Terms and conditions); I was forced to buy their insurance ($29.95/day); 2) Transponder: Thye forced us to pay for their transponder (we brought own own) saying theirs was not removable, that was $14.95/day; 3) They charged 8 days of the above two items (our rental was 8PM 02/29 to 10AM 02/26, slightly less than 7 full days) saying they use calendar days. I pointed out KAYAK has 7 days printed. They said they are not KAYAK and is not responsible for what KAYAK said. 4) For checking out, their car had many small dents and scratched (it was a good car, drives great). We were scared by this company. The agent took many photos and said he would send the photos with the check-out report to me. I did not receive that. I called three times next day, never receive those. Lessons learned: be extremely careful for companies like this, make sure there are no hidden cost. Indeed, the $303 deal (free cancel )was too good to be true.

Car was OLD and bad conditions... some features didn't work (some windows did not open)...car sounds like a 50 year old car without maintenance...

Customer service was beyond bad. We had to wait over 30 minutes for them to pick us up at the airport after calling to let them know we were waiting outside the airport. We were told several times when we called the driver would be there in 10 minutes. When he did get there the location was only 4 minutes away from the airport. I paid for the insurance but when I got there I was told I would also have to pay another $105 for 4 days for liability insurance in addition to the insurance I had already paid for. I have rented many cars from other companies and never had to buy a separate liability policy. All said what should have been a very short and simple car pick up turned into a hour plus ordeal. I will never rent from NU Car again.

I was scammed into purchasing insurance even though I have adequate limits of liability through my auto policy and an umbrella policy . I am contesting the charges. Also, the number on the confirmation was for their corporate office and no one ever answered and eventually the call was disconnected. On the confirmation it should have the number of the facility for pickup arrangements.

Worst rental car experience ever. We called to let them know our flight was delayed and we wouldn't get to the counter until a little after closing, and they refused to wait past their 9:00PM close time. Therefore we were forced to get a hotel room at the airport and return at 8:00AM when they opened, at which point they said they'd charged us 100% of the rental and gave our car away. So we were carless. NU is BAD.
