Pros: Excellent location and excellent breakfasts!
Cons: We liked everything
Excellent 10.0
Pros: hostess very pleasant and friendly. Great breakfast hot or cold-what you chose. wonderful bed to sleep in, super clean-a must place to stay if you visit New Orleans. very close to street car ride to French Quarter. good parking. What's not to like!
Cons: n/a
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location in a residential area of NOLA, a splendid historical house with adorable hosts. They'll help you out with anything you need, they do their job with passion and really care about their guests.
Cons: There was nothing that I didn't like. Just be careful if you take public transport to the venter of New Orleans, it's not reliable.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing. Location is much more better than Central business District. But in just 5 min of cheap uber or 15 min on old fashion tram and you are in the centre of jazz. All area around is nice, safe and have a lot of cozy places and restaurants in a few step. I don’t write reviews but this time excellent hosting and service provided by Tom, owner of the house makes me do it. Tom gives me all possible advices which you never get in the hotel. Restaurants with food preferences, best jazz spots, maps, magazines with city info etc. Before 4 days in Maison I spent 5 days in Le Meridien hotel and the difference is huge. Inside the house you find nice lounge area and outside you would definitely want to sit on wooden chairs. All facilities and totally clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. Everything was good.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Beautiful home in Garden District. The host were very nice.
Cons: The food was good, a fruit, yogurt and bagels were offered every morning. We had French toast ( Orange and Almond) and sausage a couple mornings and eggs, sausage and cheese grits another.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location close to trolley
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Warm and friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious, and different, every day. Seasonal decorations, information specific to Mardi Gras available in the common room, and helpful tips from staff were appreciated.
Cons: Not really - it was great.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location is just a small walk from both Magazine street and St Charles which both have great transport links into downtown. Tom and Patricia could not have been more helpful, allowing us to check in early and spending a long time giving us recommendations for things to see and places to eat. Breakfast was great every morning. The neighbourhood is nice. Beds are comfortable, rooms well equipped. Would definitely recommend this place.
Cons: Nothing bad to say.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: As soon as you walk in the door they treat you like family and also they hand you an adult beverage very nice to come off a long drive to such a relaxing place it feels just like home was an amazing bed and breakfast
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.6
Pros: It is very impressive, that the owners take the time to personally meet & check in each guest. The facilities were quaint, and the staff were very friendly & accomodating.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Peter and Ruby are amazing hosts. The house is beautiful. Close to restaurants. Not to far from anything you want to do.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Ruby and her husband are great hosts! I absolutely enjoyed everything about this place! I now know where I’ll stay every time I’m in New Orleans!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hosts were so so nice and accommodating. Made the stay much more like home.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: This was a little gem. Based in a quieter northern part of New Orleans, it was close to some lovely restaurants on the harbour. The hosts Peter and Ruby were just amazing, couldnt have helped enough and gave great recommendations for our stay, thank you! The room and entire house was comfortable with a handy fridge and microwave in room. Water restocked and beds made daily. Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Nothing of note. A dodgy electrical issue that made the bedside light come on and off regularly but that was just funny rather than being annoying. Easily dealt with by unscrewing the bulb
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The style, location and staff is wonderful.
Good 7.9
Pros: Helpful friendly hosts. A lovely large room Freshly cooked breakfasts The property was in a good position.
Cons: We would have preferred an earlier start to breakfast . However a continental selection was available if a guest was leaving early. The room did not have tea or coffee making facilities
Excellent 10.0
Cons: The hosts are wonderful, friendly, helpful and remembered everyone's name as well as place of origin. Rooms are large and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order every morning. It is conveniently located in a safe neighborhood, close to a store and restaurants as well as public transportation. I highly recommend and will return.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing, there were a few really good restaurants in the neighborhood, the staff was very friendly and generous. We took an Uber whenever we wanted to go anywhere, it was really cheap as this is pretty centrally located. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.
Cons: I really wouldn't say that anything was not not up to our standards.

Excellent 10.0
Cons: Stairs
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The food was excellent. Brent and Larry were both fantastic to visit with and made sure we were taken care of at every turn. I really enjoyed staying there. The room with the large spacious bed was excellent. The breakfast delicious. It's a 1 block walk to public transit and there's a walgreens across the block.
Okay 4.2
Pros: Breakfast was fine. The street that the facility is on is in bad shape. Pot holes and barriers up to avoid holes in street. NO designated parking. Just have to park in the street. Will not stay here again.
Cons: Black lint on air vents Roach was in our room (about an inch long) Bed was like sleeping on concrete Dusty furniture and floor. House needs better upkeep and maintenance The only thing they give you is water and coffee. No snacks, cookies, chips, wine, nothing!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: My son and mom had a GREAT stay. This was their first stay at a B&B and they loved it. They enjoyed the hosts and said they were very friendly and made them feel welcome. My 11 year old son really enjoyed the two dogs at the property. I am so appreciative of of the hosts, we had to reschedule the trip due to Tropical Storm Imelda and they made it absolutely seamless. I was unable to go last minute so sent just my mom and son but after hearing their raves I can’t wait to book here again and enjoy!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfasts were excellent. Fresh fruit, warm biscuits, and a different dish every day. Beautiful dining room. Brent was an excellent host. He, and the Larry the owner were great resources for information. The dogs charmed us the moment we arrived.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The Host of the house Brent very friendly and witty and knowledgeable about the city and tours house and room was beautiful an bed was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious
Cons: Everything was great
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great neighborhood, super quiet area. We had a great room with a balcony and private bathroom. House is very pretty and restoration work is excellent. Manager Brent was a great guy and we enjoyed talking with him.
Cons: No complaints.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: I absolutely love history and architecture, so this house fulfilled those. It is a beautiful home! The staff was amazing and extremely helpful. The breakfast and snacks provided were delicious.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Our stay at Canal Street was amazing. The house is beautiful and clean and decorated for Halloween. Every detail was thoughtfully planned out so that we experienced the authentic New Orleans. We are surely going to miss the delicious breakfasts. Thank you to our wonderful hosts!!!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Loved the charm and character of the home! Also loved how breakfast brings all the guests together at the dining table, was great meeting some new folks.
Cons: A bit pricey, I booked the standard room and it was $181 for the 1 night. Not sure if it was higher because of travel patterns or if that was the norm.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Convenient to city attractions. House was very clean, neat, and orderly. Staff was very attentive and personable. Loved getting together with other guests for delicious homemade breakfast.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The place is absolutely perfect. The price is very competitive and the location in reference to the Quarter couldn't be better. We have stayed there twice now and we never look anywhere else for our lodging
Good 7.4
Pros: I really enjoyed the house itself, all the historic detail that has been preserved over the years. The room and bathroom were a good size.
Cons: The bed was terrible, the mattress was very old and lumpy, had a squeaky bed frame and pillows were not comfortable at all. Also, the lack of a ceiling fan made the room stuffy.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The vibrant colors of the room, and the beautiful fireplaces in the rooms.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The Breakfast was Superb. My husband and I really enjoyed the food. The Innkeepers were very nice and helpful. I have never been waited on like that before. The location was great. We would get on the Trolley which stopped right in front of the Inn to go to the different restaurant and the French Quarters. It wasn't noisy and we were able to get a good night sleep.
Cons: There was No Microwave for the Guest. It would have been nice to have one available. When we informed about a microwave, the staff said it needed to be repaired. The microwave that was available was in the kitchen and the staff would have to heat the food for us. We needed one when we got back late at night when the kitchen was closed. The was No Ice in the Guest refrigerator. The ice that was in the freezer was hard and stuck together. We could not break it apart.
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Owner and her assistant were awesome. Perfect stay. Wonderful breakfast, lovely furnishings.
Cons: When booking on line, cheaper rooms are in renovated section, spacious, comfortable yet modern and "sterile" If you want historic, upgrade to older sections.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We loved the beautiful architecture of the house. Monica ad Rosa are the sweetest, most kind and thoughtful hosts! Very personable and welcoming. It was like we were visiting family!
Cons: I didn't like that we couldn't stay longer!

Excellent 9.6
Pros: Rooms are fantastic. Modern, roomy, comfortable. Staff were super. Great breakfast. Short drive from airport.
Cons: Far from downtown if you’re in New Orleans to do tourist things. Not an issue for me though as I was here for a work meeting nearby
Excellent 9.2
Pros: This property was great. It was my first time staying here and we’ve been to New Orleans to many times to count. I will definitely be staying here from now own.
Cons: The only complain I would have is with one of the breakfast staff. I won’t put her name on here but she was VERY rude. She claimed that the waffle machine was broke however we later found out that the machine was not broke, the waffle batter machine was broke and she didn’t want to have to pour the batter by hand. There were at least 7 kids waiting for waffles, she came out and said specifically, “I’m only making 4). I personally think she should have handle this way different
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The bed really comfortable The staff very friendly
Cons: There was ants all over the room but as soon as we spoke about it they took care of it.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Front desk staff and housekeeping was amazing. They took care of my every need.
Cons: I love everything about the hotel

Cons: I felt very unsettled there. The energy is quite disorganized and chaotic. The photos on booking.com do not accurately reflect the state of the hostel. The building has had so much wear and tear that it was depressing and a stressful environment. I was in a mixed dorm and was hit on by a man as soon as I got up at 8am. I literally just sat up in my bed and I guy shot me a hey girl. I hated this experience and would love my money back.
Okay 5.8
Cons: My reservation wasn’t what I planned for, so my friend and I were separated and no accommodations were given for that. The blanket and pillow we were given had stains all over it, and it was EXTREMELY cold the entire time we were there. People also were having sex in my friends room, which apparently is against the rules but no one did anything about it after my friend told someone. The staff always got drunk and kept people up at late hours of the night, and a roommate in my room got to the point where she had to take charge and yell at them to stay quiet when it was way past quiet hours. Don’t get me wrong, the hostel itself has a cool atmosphere, but the service was pretty bad.
Excellent 9.0
Cons: The staff was awesome!
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Lovely staff, amazing place, more an community as a hostel. Had a great time there, get together with fantastic people
Mediocre 2.5
Cons: Travelling in more then 100 hostels that was my worst experience. I booked 3 nights in a dorm room, 3 nights in a row I had someone in my bed because of confusion of reception. One of the workers said sorry and offer to give me an upgrade and stay in a private room till my check out, I stayed 3 nights there and when I went to do my check out they told me I must pay for the private room. I tried to explain and said I never wanted to stay in private room and I would never choose to pay more and I was good in the dorm room. The worst part was trying to speak with the owner, didn't say hey, didn't want to listen and made me feel horrible. I have myself a hostel in Brasil I always try to attend people with respect, in this case they charged me much more but the worst was the arrogance behavior of the owner, this is not a way to treat your gusts or people in general. The hostel facilities are great but the person behind the hostel maybe not as much.

Cons: Horrible night staying there. Bathrooms dirty. Besides you have to share bathroom with everybody... Smell of the bedroom horrible... Hairs in the sheets... Poor light in the bedroom, the door doesn't close completely. Too much money to be sharing bathroom.! Plus. I didn't receive my refund. Only stayed one night. The other three nights try didn't return the money
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff were absolutely fabulous they done everything they could do to make my stay confutable and good everyone was really friendly and helpful they went out of their way with warm and welcome in it was the best stay I had in America and have recommended it to all my family and friends thank you all at India house for making my stay in New Orleans so special.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Is a great palce to stay if you want to relax and be a little away of the center of the French Quarter, but completely accesible via public transportation.
Excellent 8.2
Pros: clean, friendly, nice bathroom
Cons: bed had been broken down on one side by someone. I sleep on the other side and it was fine there.
Good 6.0
Pros: My room has it's own bathroom.
Cons: The guy who cooks breakfast has a bad attitude and the kitchen he cooks in is filthy. The cleaning staff from Central America is treated poorly. They were working in a laundry room where the pipes were leaking everywhere flooding the room, also where they are allowed to eat. Like modern day slaves. The mirror in the room was too high to actually see yourself.

Pros: This hotel was perfect for us. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle but could hop on the street car, right outside, and head anywhere we wanted to go. Great breakfast. Free parking. Clean rooms with comfortable bedding. We will definitely be back.
Cons: No.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This is an old hotel in the garden district, but well maintained. It is close to downtown. It is on the garden district streetcar line. Very good breakfast.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Right across the street from the street cars that take you anywhere you need to go. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Cons: N/A
Good 7.1
Pros: It’s a great location. We were able to easily walk the 6 blocks or so to my daughters apartment (during daylight) and to her place of work on St Charles(day and night) easily and feeling safe. We had two cars. We were blessed to find a parking spot on the street next to restaurant by hotel. The other Carew parked in the small gated BW parking lot. Nice buffet variety for breakfast. Front desk Staff were welcoming and helpful and patient. Quiet sitting lobby at night. We would stay again for one night like we did on this trip.
Cons: It’s an older property so the elevator and stairs and halls show it but they were adequate. Room was much better and beds comfortable and room was clean. Work out room was not inviting so I passed. I think it’s pricey yet I think it’s prime location hence the high rate.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location, down to earth staff, secure parking lot, their breakfast was above average
Cons: The food available in the area was of poor quality and overpriced
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff are so friendly and helpful, hotel is squeaky clean and the neighbourhood is very nice. Trolley to Canal Street is right across the road.
Cons: Nothing we didnt like
Poor 1.0
Pros: The manager was nice.
Cons: The thing I liked least about this hotel was that it caught fire on the 2nd day of our stay and we were forced to evacuate and find a different place to sleep that night.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Short walk to the St. Charles street car line!
Cons: Nothing really.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Staff was very nice and helpful. Room was comfortable and there were plenty of towels.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Older hotel but my room was spotless and had a refrigerator and microwave for my convenience. My room also had a separate area from the nice sized bathroom, for getting dressed with a large mirror, blow dryer and sink. The hotel staff were exceptional!
Cons: Loved EVERYTHING!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Comfortable bigger room for a hotel. Close to St. Charles street car line (right out the front door practically).
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff were amazing and very helpful. The trolley picked up right out front of the hotel. The breakfast was awesome and the always had snacks and something to drink every day and night. Will definitely go back.

Excellent 9.6
Pros: It's was clean, great staff, excellent location.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Near to downtown, which was easily reachable with street car (day tickes for 3 dollars). The interior of hostel: nicely equipped kitchen, enough bathrooms, comfortable beds, several spots to hang around (reading site, balcony, outside space). Cute decorations. The personal was very helpful and lovely with answering any questions to plan a trip to downtown, swamp tours etc. Parking lot next to street for free, directly in front of hostel. Was there at the right time (end of September), where not many guests stayed at the hostel, meaning I had a lot of privacy there.
Cons: Other people staying that had been yelling and loud phone calls in late evening hours. In addition the same person was also peeing next to the toilets. Lock of doors was a bit tricky to open with the key, not possible without making rumours.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Really nice place with a cool back space to hang out.
Cons: I thought it was quite expensive for one night. I don't really agree with the idea that the night would be more expensive because there's an event in town (Vood festival in that case) and the increase was especially bad there.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I loved staying at Site 61! The theme was cool and it was nice and quiet during the daytime, which was perfect for getting work done on the computer! I really liked staying in Mid City - cut neighborhood!
Cons: The bed was a bit uncomfortable.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: I like the attention and information that personal gave me about the city .
Excellent 9.4
Pros: You would not know it by the sort of average photos that I saw on-line, but Site 61 was better in many ways than I expected. I hadn't stayed in a hostel for many years, so was not sure what I would find for such a (compared to hotels) low price. What I found was a well-run hostel operated by a kind and personable staff, a half dozen immaculate (and seemingly brand new) bathrooms (clean toilets, showers with great water pressure and warm water) and rooms that were also clean. i also enjoyed chatting with the staff in the mornings before I headed out for my day. Love this place !
Cons: I don't love bunk beds, but who does? Just one of the things one must deal with when staying in a hostel. But as far as bunk beds go, mine was comfortable!
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Clean, great staff, cheap, and a neat building
Cons: The beds weren’t very comfortable and were squeaky metal bunk beds, but that’s the risk you take with hostels
Good 7.9
Pros: Quiet and clean. Friendly stuff. Easy checkin process.
Cons: Not enough lightings in the rooms.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: New Orleans style! Lovely balcony :) Clean and comfy atmosphere! Late check-in was easy.
Cons: A bit far from downtown. I had a car, which was pretty pleasant/needed.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Like stepping back in time. This place is beautiful and an all around great experience. The staff was nothing but welcoming and kind. I'll certainly be coming back.
Okay 4.8
Pros: - only 10 minutes by car from French quarter - bus station near (30 minutes to French Quarter)
Cons: - the boss/owner was extremely unfriendly (there were like 5-6 situations where he just snapped at us "Maaaaam my office is closed!" or "Maaaam this isnt a 24h reservation" etc. really extremely unfriendly, and we really didn't ask for anything special. (he was friendly to our male friends though so you might be fine if you're a guy ..) - Breakfast: Coffee (coffee only isn't breakfast, although it said online that breakfast was included) - apparently in a bad area (taxi driver said so), I wouldn't walk around when it's dark - for those with a car it's ok I guess but wouldn't stay more than 1-2 days it's really not a nice hotel
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Friendly and attentive staff and a great value.
Cons: Too far from the quarter and in a sketchy part of the city.

Cons: No
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Coffee shop and shops, fitness center although equipment seemed very old still gets the job done. I liked the flavored water by the elevators, the room was nice.
Cons: Water pressure bad in shower, hot and cold knob was opposite and the tv barely had any channels
Good 6.0
Pros: Good price. We were able to get adjoining rooms. Kids loved the pool.
Cons: Sheets were dirty.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was adjoining to the hospital where I had an appointment the next day.
Cons: Everything was good.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The room was way way larger than I expected. It was my first time in NO, and it was nice not to be in the middle of everything. Very quiet and I'd stay there again.
Cons: The outside looks so so. The lobby looks average. But the room definitely made up for it.
Good 7.5
Pros: Reasonably priced comparatively. Centrally located.
Cons: Couldn't get the AC to cool the room; even at 60 F, room was still stuffy. No hot water for shower in the morning.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: We loved our room! It was super comfy. We also loved the location. It was different staying in the hospital, but we had access to some awesome food and some great coffee! Staff was wonderful. Bed was amazing!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Loved the atmosphere, the good food just a ride down the elevator and the friendly staff. And of course, is down the hall from a hospital so you know is clean.
Cons: N/A
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Surrounding area, amenities such as barbershop, atrium, access to cafeteria
Cons: No hot water in one of our rooms, so everyone showered in one room as they did not have a maintenance person in the evening.

Mediocre 3.3
Cons: Lack of hostel activities, no regular breakfast preparation. The breakfast selection was very poor. Only pancakes... Lack of good stream of water in the shower.
Good 6.3
Pros: The place is located right infront of a tram that takes you all the way to town.
Cons: The bed was the worst!! Could hardly sleep the entire stay. The breskfast is only pancakes and waffles. If you’re staying more than a few days, it can get boring.
Excellent 8.5
Pros: I enjoyed that it was setup like a hostel. Community shower and restroom with a community kitchen. Also, I enjoyed that they offer ear plugs right at the front desk. So in case that you don't want to hear your neighbors then you can use them to get some beauty rest.
Cons: The air conditioning in there was not cooling very well and it was slightly I unclmfortingto have to wait to go to the restroom. Make sure you get up early to use it.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: Not so friendly staff
Good 7.1
Pros: The staff was really nice and helpful.
Cons: Not the best if you're looking for long stay with great comfort, but great price quality in New Orleans overall.
