Good 7.4
Pros: I really enjoyed the house itself, all the historic detail that has been preserved over the years. The room and bathroom were a good size.
Cons: The bed was terrible, the mattress was very old and lumpy, had a squeaky bed frame and pillows were not comfortable at all. Also, the lack of a ceiling fan made the room stuffy.
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Owner and her assistant were awesome. Perfect stay. Wonderful breakfast, lovely furnishings.
Cons: When booking on line, cheaper rooms are in renovated section, spacious, comfortable yet modern and "sterile" If you want historic, upgrade to older sections.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very nice room overlooking St Charles Ave. Very helpful staff.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The staff was very professional. Continental breakfast left much to be desired but coulis is just around the corner and is a top notch breakfast restaurant. Best hotel in uptown as far as I'm concerned.
Cons: Still a bit pricey despite not being at full occupancy.
Good 7.7
Pros: The breakfast was nice. Loved the lemon water touch. Bed was more comfortable than mine at home.
Cons: The hidden taxes. I asked for the total amount when booking so I would be prepared. My bill was $55 more than I was quoted.

Okay 4.5
Pros: Perfect location, pet friendly with easy access to grass to walk him. This is the main reason I booked this hotel and that it was such easy access to the French quarter etc. free parking.
Cons: Every single front desk staff member was SO unprofessional. They did not greet us, barely look at us, was talking on her phone on speaker while checking us in. Thought next day person would be better. Nope. Even more rude. They made us park in a garage the first night away from hotel which was so inconvenient. When I went the next day to get our parking pass as promised the next girl wouldn't even look at me. I had to ask questions and her response was, Yup. Checking out with a different lady she spoke 2 words to me and handed my receipt. I've never experienced such un-customer friendly hotel staff located in the "friendliest city". Most of all our New Orleans experience was with friendly people except our hotel. The rudest. If the girls hate their job that much they need to get in a different line of work. I'm in sales and customer service. So unacceptable. They seemed to be nicer to older people. Room was tiny, very old, smells a little like mildew.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: I liked that it was the St Charles street car line. It was a tiny hotel. Mostly clean, even though it looks old
Cons: My bathroom had a little bit of mold in it, but I'm assuming since it's New Orleans, that's a little hard to really eradicate. Besides that, Ines's very quaint and nice, especially the room. The hallways were old, but rooms were great.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I was so pleased that they had a variety of gluten free options for breakfast, I have never seen that before! They were also very accommodating when I needed to check in after midnight and add on some nights to my stay. Will stay here again.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.7
Pros: I was a little leary staying in a new area of New Orleans especially away from the main locations like the French Quarter, etc. I and the group we were with was quickly relieved once we saw the Trolly stopped right in front of the hotel! We LOVED the easy free parking. Super clean and fresh smelling facility. Friendly, helpful staff. If you do not feel like going the French Quater there are a lot of wonderful resturants near by. The free breakfast was a plus!! Wide variety and very fresh! We feel like we have found a hidden gem!
Cons: We only had one thing that was a tad off putting. The room we were in had a small smell of old cigarettes. Not being a smoker it might have stood out more? I can only imagine how hard it is to get that smell out.
Excellent 8.6
Pros: FREE PARKING was a very convenient perk. The staff was very accommodating. We brought our bicycles in with us and they were very nice about it. Free breakfast was better than most hotels free breakfast. Wasn't fine dining but the porch out front made it very enjoyable. There is ample eating area in the lobby and a large porch with tables. The streetcar runs in front of the hotel and is peaceful to watch. We are from louisiana and visit new orleans frequently. This is one of the best "chain hotels" we've stayed in. They have adapted very well to the city and you don't feel like you're staying in a chain hotel.
Cons: A little noisy. Someone down our hall kept slamming the door early in the night. But once we were asleep we didn't hear it.
Excellent 8.5
Pros: The choices for free breakfast were great! Staff was helpful and friendly.
Cons: Air conditioning unit was loud.
Good 6.7
Pros: Clean, true breakfast, location
Cons: Toilet seat loose and swung side to side. Closet door falling apart.
Good 6.7
Pros: The free on-site4 parking was great. The hotel was very clean and the staff was great. It is also located on the St. Charles Ave. streetcar line, which made it convenient to jump and go the the French district and other places. Also, the breakfasts were very good.
Cons: My wife and I had no complaints.
Good 6.3
Pros: Convenient location;lots of amenities for the price
Okay 5.7
Pros: Did not charge parking in a city that charges parking on everything everywhere
Cons: Hotel was so completely booked that we couldn't get a different room after we found dog kibbles all around the room, dog hair on the bolster pillows, and trash under the beds--it was a small hotel; also, had no pool.
Okay 5.3
Pros: The location is really good-right on St.Charles trolley line. The linens on the bed kept coming off and there were no mattress covers. It is an older hotel but good price if you are on a budget.

Mediocre 2.5
Cons: Horrible night staying there. Bathrooms dirty. Besides you have to share bathroom with everybody... Smell of the bedroom horrible... Hairs in the sheets... Poor light in the bedroom, the door doesn't close completely. Too much money to be sharing bathroom.! Plus. I didn't receive my refund. Only stayed one night. The other three nights try didn't return the money
Excellent 9.4
Pros: The style of the hostel nd its stuff, even if I am not the alternative guy
Cons: -
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Is a great palce to stay if you want to relax and be a little away of the center of the French Quarter, but completely accesible via public transportation.
Excellent 8.2
Pros: clean, friendly, nice bathroom
Cons: bed had been broken down on one side by someone. I sleep on the other side and it was fine there.

Good 7.7
Pros: Attached to hospital and has atrium
Cons: Hard to find and small bathroom
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Clean and quiet
Cons: parking
Okay 5.1
Cons: I didn't know it was connected to a hospital.
Mediocre 2.0
Cons: Staff not friendly at all, room not clean, shower falling apart. Terrible location way too much money for what you get.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: I liked the price. The staff was courteous, and the place was over all clean. It was not far from New Orleans CBD and had direct routes to all of the places of interest. Parking, especially for New Orleans, was exemplary.
Cons: It was attached to a hospital which was not mentioned in any of the literature on the website I used to book the hotel.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Location, parking, cleanliness and the bed.
Cons: Lack of amenities and no smoking area on the property
Excellent 10.0
Pros: everyone was nice
Cons: the cleaning crew need to learn how to make beds the sheets did not stay on the bed either top or bottom sheets.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The personal was very very friendly and helpful expertly miss Lorraine she is high top in my book
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like except the coffee
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Spacious rooms. Friendly staff.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: I liked that i didn't worry about being safe. it was great for a family to be there, safe and had a nice pool, and was SUPER clean. my son loved the "spinny" revolving door in the lobby.
Cons: there was no free breakfast, and yo had to pay weekly to use the gym.... must drive to actual "town" of New Orleans to see sites.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location and very clean
Cons: The toilet rocked, not fasten to the floor good
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The room was extremely nice and walking through the atrium to access the room or go out to eat in there was a very nice touch.
Cons: It was different being that it was attached to the hospital. Seeing patients around was somewhat disturbing, particularly when we ran into a gentleman on a scooter that seemed to have difficulty staying awake on it, and we came to the front desk for someone to help him. Also, we came as a mini vacation and after our 8 hour long drive, we were disappointed to find the hotel didn't have a bar, but only a cafe on the hospital side and when we walked down the road to find a bar, it was less than hospitable.

Pros: I like the attention and information that personal gave me about the city .
Excellent 9.4
Pros: You would not know it by the sort of average photos that I saw on-line, but Site 61 was better in many ways than I expected. I hadn't stayed in a hostel for many years, so was not sure what I would find for such a (compared to hotels) low price. What I found was a well-run hostel operated by a kind and personable staff, a half dozen immaculate (and seemingly brand new) bathrooms (clean toilets, showers with great water pressure and warm water) and rooms that were also clean. i also enjoyed chatting with the staff in the mornings before I headed out for my day. Love this place !
Cons: I don't love bunk beds, but who does? Just one of the things one must deal with when staying in a hostel. But as far as bunk beds go, mine was comfortable!

Pros: Like stepping back in time. This place is beautiful and an all around great experience. The staff was nothing but welcoming and kind. I'll certainly be coming back.
Okay 4.8
Pros: - only 10 minutes by car from French quarter - bus station near (30 minutes to French Quarter)
Cons: - the boss/owner was extremely unfriendly (there were like 5-6 situations where he just snapped at us "Maaaaam my office is closed!" or "Maaaam this isnt a 24h reservation" etc. really extremely unfriendly, and we really didn't ask for anything special. (he was friendly to our male friends though so you might be fine if you're a guy ..) - Breakfast: Coffee (coffee only isn't breakfast, although it said online that breakfast was included) - apparently in a bad area (taxi driver said so), I wouldn't walk around when it's dark - for those with a car it's ok I guess but wouldn't stay more than 1-2 days it's really not a nice hotel
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Friendly and attentive staff and a great value.
Cons: Too far from the quarter and in a sketchy part of the city.

Pros: I enjoyed that it was setup like a hostel. Community shower and restroom with a community kitchen. Also, I enjoyed that they offer ear plugs right at the front desk. So in case that you don't want to hear your neighbors then you can use them to get some beauty rest.
Cons: The air conditioning in there was not cooling very well and it was slightly I unclmfortingto have to wait to go to the restroom. Make sure you get up early to use it.

Okay 4.2
Cons: I got a non smoking room but the room smelled like cigarettes, the sheets had scorch marks, some of the outlets didn't work and no internet
Okay 4.5
Pros: The price was better than others within the distance to the quarter. You get a little bit edgier look at the city. The outer brickwork is charming. It has potential, but looks like it needs a lot of funding to bring it up to snuff. The bed was clean and comfortable.
Cons: Lights didn't work, carpet and walls are gross, no bathroom vent, never had enough towels and staff couldn't get more, 3am street brawl at the night club next door...
Mediocre 3.1
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
Okay 4.2
Pros: There were beds and there was a roof. Sorta.
Cons: No customer service. Lucky if you walk out WITHOUT being yelled at. Shady with your credit card. I had to dispute a charge they made without telling me. The elevator was broken and we were on the 4th floor. Maybe I'm spoiled but I usually expect more than a nod and a blank stare when I talk to someone who is supposed to be a customer service rep.
Mediocre 3.1
Pros: Worthless
Cons: It was humiliation to have to stay there.
Okay 5.7
Pros: The staff was very polite and professional. The location was great because we were going to Voodoo Fest which was held in City Park. Easy less than $10 cab ride. The beds were reasonably comfortable.
Cons: The area was sketchy. We arrived at night and were not sure we were at the right place. The carpet did not appear to have been vacuumed. The room was very bare bones as far as decor, which is fine because it was very, very inexpensive. The shower drain was gross and clearly clogged.
Mediocre 2.2
Pros: This place had a bed and a roof ...
Cons: The carpet was wet when we got there and it never dried out. The bathroom was disturbingly gross. The jacuzzi was a large wet ashtray.
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: The lady on third shift was really nice. It was close to Superdome.
Cons: First room smelled of Pot, the people next to us were smoking it heavily. The second room heater did not work and there were roaches and bugs everywhere. The elevators were broken. The place looked nothing like the pictures. Homeless guy sleeping the lounge area. This place is just and in and out for drugs and prostitution. I had two children with me. I have never stayed in something so awful. If i would have had the extra money. i would have found somewhere else to stay.
Mediocre 2.0
Cons: Dirty, room wasn't ready when we arrived at check in. Not a good part of town, half mile walk to anything. Did not apologize for any of their wrongdoings and we are still fighting them for a refund.
Mediocre 2.0
Cons: Not only was this hotel situated in a very dangerous neighborhood (Tulane Ave is notorious for gangland shootings), but the property manager failed to provide basic amenities (didn't have running hot water). When I confronted her about her shortsiding, she failed to provide a refund and had a very nasty attitude towards me. I would recommend travelers to stay far away from this establishment at all costs.
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Absolutely nothing even remotely acceptable about this "hotel".
Cons: Horrible Staff Uncomfortable beds. Cleanliness nonexistent. Shower didn't work. Windows didn't lock. Dirty everything. Too expensive for what it is. How it's still in business is beyond my friends and I. Some people gave this place more than one star??? Only reason they get one from me it's because I can't give them a negative star rating. Did i mentioned the staffs lack of professionalism? A simple attempt on being kind to the people that have contributed to the fact that you're still employed would suffice.
Mediocre 2.0
Cons: Not safe. Don't go there. Prostitution. Broken down rooms.
Mediocre 2.7
Pros: Central location
Cons: Filthy, no one cleaned our room for 9 days! Most disgusting place ever.
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: NOTHING
Cons: NOTHING
Okay 4.3
Pros: the location
Cons: availability of towels, parking, the lack of clean sheets on the bed
Okay 4.3
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful
Cons: The room was poorly cleaned. My room was also without windows.
Mediocre 2.7
Pros: The price
Cons: I have often stayed at poor budget hotels, but this was the absolute worst. Do not stay here, unless sleeping on the stree is your only other option.
Mediocre 3.3
Pros: Location
Cons: Area of town wasn't the best. No towels in the bathroom, but a great little dive bar across the street.
Okay 4.0
Pros: $review.pros
Cons: cockroaches
Mediocre 2.3
Pros: nothing
Cons: no heat in room, very unclean, smelly, smoke alarm disconnected, bad paint job
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: The price. That's about it.
Cons: Yes. The rooms were very unclean. Two towels with no floor towel for the bathroom is way too few. No washclothes. Ice machines didn't work. Shower had not been scrubbed in a very, very long time. Fire alarm was pulled twice one night.
Good 6.0
Pros: The staff was so nice. I would recomend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay near New Orleans on a budget.
