Booked car hire through Kayak, it appeared to be a very competitive price. Arrived at advertised pick up address to find it was no longer there and had closed 18 months ago and relocated but they had not updated their website and it shows old address. Had to get an Uber to the new address. After arriving, I was told that as I had "booked through a third party" I would need to pay £695 insurance on top of the car hire charge or I would not be able to take the car. I refused, and asked for written confirmation that this was true. The assistant could not show any evidence, and just kept saying "you booked through a third party" I left without the car, and went to Europecar and hired one cheaper there. Nowhere on Kayak or the car hire companies paperwork does it say that compulsory insurance charges will be added on top. I will never book through Kayak again, this car hire company is scamming people into paying higher charges than agreed which is illegal

Easirent at Heathrow is based in a container in the corner of a parking lot. No direct pick up from Terminals, you have to catch a hotel hopping bus. Also, cost advertised is only the car rental. Insurance and damage waiver coverage are extras which really ramps up the price. They may be backed by Fiat (they say) and operate through Pricecom (an American outfit) but their set up is second rate, although in the end the car we had was good, met our needs but was overpriced.

Total lack of customer service. Every single person working there acted like a 70’s used car salesman. A bunch of Geezers. No recognition that I am a paying customer and deserve some respect and attention. They talk down to you not caring who you are or what their role should be. Absolutely the worst experience ever.

Truly not the company to rent a car from. They expected an exorbitant hold on our credit card, and in spite of the fact that we provided proof of insurance--and our policy provides coverage for rental cars--they also expected us to pay for their pricey insurance. We decided to rent a vehicle elsewhere.

Type of vehicle was good value, getting to the location was hit and miss, shuttle did not pick up the first time and the return trip driver was very abrupt.

The description of the vehicle was not accurate, as it turned out we got a vehicle with more space. I ordered a Mondeo Estate and was informed that Ford have not made one for 3 years. I was travelling with 3 other adults with luggage for 2 week so the space was important.

No shuttle available, spent over 20 pounds on a cab. Told the tank was full bit wasn't shown it. 4 miles from the agency I realized it was only a third of a tank. No one answered the phone when I called to report it. Due to a family emergency I had to extend my trip, called the office and was told I would have to come and sign a new contract, 100 miles away. Said they would call back with a quote and never did. Called the head office and inquired about returning to a different location, was told ok for a fee. Arrived at location in Bristol, was rudely told they were not expecting me, that they were leaving for the day and to park the car and leave the keys in a drop box. Asked how I would get to the airport and was told to walk, ok it's only about half a mile but what if I was impaired or travelling with luggage. Easirent it is not......

The shuttle from Heathrow was terrible. One shuttle did not turn up and the second was late. It took one and a half hours to travel a fifteen minute ride. My advice; take a taxi.
