- Location - close to everything, but not too close to the tourist-heavy areas.
- Finally, a mere 7-8 minute walk from the train station (in case you come in by train)

Pros: Fantastic homeland definitely value for money. Very friendly staff who were really helpful and made you feel very welcome. The best breakfast I have had in a hotel in Europe with lovely waiting staff. The room was comfortable if a little hot but opening the window solved that. The location was perfect with a very short walk to restaurants and shops as w,ell as the museums churches etc. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone contemplating staying in Innsbruck.

Pros: The location, staff, and breakfast were all amazing. We would come back just for the breakfast!
Cons: The room was fine but we were expecting better. The bed and linens were average, the bathroom was a bit odd in that our young children could never reach the faucets and the door always swung open and hit you when using the toilet. Also, the room was very hot (in February), and the only way to effectively cool the room was by opening the window and enduring construction noise next door.

Cons: we left this hotel after 2 nights, because of the uncomfortable room: we could not turn down the heating and had to turn on the airconditionning in order to cool our room (in the winter!!) As it was situated to the busy street side, we could not sleep with the open window. Their homepage is very stylish and modern, but the hotel itself is kind of oldfashioned inside. Very tiny garage: complicate access for bigger cars. Kind of hectic hotel (bus groups)- no restaurant facilities if you want to eat à la carte.

Cons: When we arrived we couldn't figure out how to get to the hotel because that street is not open for car traffic from 10:30am to 6pm. We should have called ahead to find out about parking. We parked in a nearby garage and walked to the hotel. We found out later that hotel guests are allowed to drive up to the hotel to unload the car then must go park in a parking garage about 2 blocks away for the duration of your stay.

There was no one at the desk to great us and when the girl showed up she wasn't very nice.We were worried we made a mistake with this hotel but once we got in our room everything was great. But the staff at the reception is very generous with the passwords, so you can get e.g. five new passwords at one visit at the reception in order not to have to go there every third hour.

This hotel is one of the tallest buildings in Innsbruck with 12 floors and 159 modern rooms, all of them equipped with free wireless internet. Cons: Room smelt terribly of tobacco smoke. Lucky it was a non-smoking room. They told me that the room was very newly renovated but that didnt help much. Now my luggage and my clothes stinks for the rest of my journey.
Room was very warm. Too warm to sleep even though the heater was off. When the window was open you couldn't sleep from the yelling and fighting Men outside at the train station. not the hotels fault but the room temperature may be helped by them.
Asked the receptionist at the counter how to get to the skifields at Nordketten. She gave me a tear off map of the city. Had to work that one out for myself. The real answer would have been to tell me where I had to walk (10min) to get the cablecar up the mountain.
I know these problems are not familiar to the whole IBIS chain as i am now staying in IBIS Nuremberg and it couldnt be more different. In a good way.

The receptionist asked us if we found it and when we said no, she and her friend both laughed. I do not have a problem with the fact that we didn;t find the restaurant... it happens. I was very offended by their callous attitude and the disrespect that I felt was shown to my mother in law by their actions. Due to this, I will not return and will not reccomend.

Pros: As noted, this hotel is an easy walk to the old town center. It is a bit hidden in a dead end street and of course the streets are very narrow (by American standards), so plan to drive there with caution. The parking is very tight so it's handled by a valet to squeeze everyone in. The food was plentiful but a limited variety.
Cons: The ground floor room was somewhat noisy because of the traffic to the breakfast room, front desk, and front door. Rooms on upper floors would be fine.

Pros: Excellent location just over the river from the old town. Staff very helpful.

Pros: Buffet breakfast good, bed comfy, owner helpful, BBC prime on TV. Very well situated for walking into the old town. Bedrooms on ground floor for the less able. Car parking off road with security camera.
Cons: The bathroom needed modernising, shower not very good, separate seating area not necessary in bedroom. No lift and we were on 4th floor but we don't mind walking.
