Helsinki hotels in Kamppi

Cons: Room looked "tired". The carpet was worn, looked dirty and was in obvious need of replacement. The desk chair was not on wheels and was hard to move into a comfortable sitting position at the desk. Some of the staff were not very congenial. They seemed ambivalent and "bothered" when I asked some basic questions.

Cons: We did get the room upgrade, and the room was still on the small side for two people. The shower is a little transparent, so heads up if you are traveling with family, it's strange. There was construction going on so it was noisy, but they were very nice about that. Overall great place.

Cons: That I had to leave!

Cons: The bathroom I checked in had intense feces smell, seems someone just went to #2 in the bathroom. I changed the room. Later the night, I clogged the toilet (which very rarely happen to me). The front desk staff said there is no one to fix as it was late at night. I had to either change the room again or stay in the current room and go to the bathroom in another room (the one whose bathroom had intense feces smell). The hotel was physically beautiful and the room was nicely cleaned, but this experience ruined my only one night stay in Helsinki. I felt very uncomfortable staying in this Glo Hotel. I would never stay here again and will never recommend it to anyone I know.

Cons: Shower was a bit small but sufficient.

Cons: The doors in the in-room bathrooms need a tad of maintenance. Breakfast can get very busy.

Cons: The room was small and ultra modern which is a stark contrast to the jugend (art noveaux) exterior and entrance. I was never a big fan of the modern stuff and it is disappointing to mix so great old building with modernism. Also, it was extremely hard to get the room to warm up to even 22C in the middle of the summer.

Cons: My room, an upgraded single, was dusty, the air/temperature control did not work and couldn't be fixed, the reading light (the only non accent light in the room) was broken and it wasn't the bulb and they had no replacement for it, another accent light (large tube with pin holes) had come out of the wall and was sitting in the only chair with me (no room to move chair). No one was available to look at these things until the next day; I could not be moved to another room. I really think these are problems they should have found and repaired themselves.

Cons: Not sure the design concept is worth paying more for. My single room wasn't terribly attractive and some design features, such as the bathroom sink were impractical (very shallow sink). Room temperature wasn't adjustable to make it cool enough.

Cons: No ironing board or iron , no desk in the room. Rooms are tired and pokey - choose your room type carefully - you get what you pay for here - some suites are ippukrnt other single rooms are like prison cells.

Cons: The bed was lumpy and very uncomfortable. There was no coffee machine in the room. The TV set was very small. English tv programs were very few and poor. No HBO or Netflix available. Only 1 chair in room. Room lighting was poor.

Cons: Vorsicht wenn sie ein Zimmer zur Straße haben!! Der Lärm hat mich bis 4 Uhr nachts nicht schlafen lassen..... Bis auf die wenigen Zimmer zum Garten nicht empfehlenswert wenn man lärmempfindlich ist

Cons: Small room, but not timy.

Cons: The ground floor room has very limited sun light due to Blinds always being down. Deliveries are mate early in the morning and are very loud, not sure if other rooms are affected but ground floor was difficult to sleep through. No physical desk could be an issue if a problem occurred but did not affect us.
