Breakfast was not included. Paid additional 10 Euros but it was very good.
The bathroom I checked in had intense feces smell, seems someone just went to #2 in the bathroom. I changed the room. Later the night, I clogged the toilet (which very rarely happen to me). The front desk staff said there is no one to fix as it was late at night. I had to either change the room again or stay in the current room and go to the bathroom in another room (the one whose bathroom had intense feces smell). The hotel was physically beautiful and the room was nicely cleaned, but this experience ruined my only one night stay in Helsinki. I felt very uncomfortable staying in this Glo Hotel. I would never stay here again and will never recommend it to anyone I know.
Amazing stay for an amazing guy
The location of this hotel was perfectly situated about 10-15 minutes from downtown Helsinki, this was an added bonus, especially for the price. While my room was small, it had an awesome vibe and decor to it that made me feel at ease. The concierges, who spoke great English were always there to give me tips and directions to local hot spots. The overall decor and aesthetic of the hotel was beyond my wildest expectations. This building was so beautiful that I cannot express them in words. The only thing I can say is experience it for yourself, you will not be disappointed. Oh did I mention the sauna and the breakfast buffet were INCREDIBLE.
That I had to leave!
Overly modern experience in great old building
The main building (Vanha Poli) has been a favorite of mine for a long time and every time I pass through it, I love it.
The room was small and ultra modern which is a stark contrast to the jugend (art noveaux) exterior and entrance. I was never a big fan of the modern stuff and it is disappointing to mix so great old building with modernism. Also, it was extremely hard to get the room to warm up to even 22C in the middle of the summer.
Great Hotel, Delicious Breakfast!
This hotel is in a great location, walkable to many sights and things to do, and is comfortable and spacious. Best of all, it has an amazing breakfast spread, a great way to start off a day of hiking around.
Perfect location, comfortable rooms
The breakfast is above average compared to other Finnish places, really decent coffee from a local coffee place, the rooms are quiet, nicely equipped with super comfy beds and water kettle.
The doors in the in-room bathrooms need a tad of maintenance. Breakfast can get very busy.
This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in. The location is great, since it's a short walk to the city center of Helsinki, and surrounded by great little shops and restaurants. The staff was excellent, super friendly and almost every one (the exception was the cleaning staff) spoke English. The room was stunningly beautiful.
We did get the room upgrade, and the room was still on the small side for two people. The shower is a little transparent, so heads up if you are traveling with family, it's strange. There was construction going on so it was noisy, but they were very nice about that. Overall great place.
Nice hotel in a good location with a cool facade.
Shower was a bit small but sufficient.
Central location, comfort and excellent personnel
everything was ok
The staff were absolutely wonderful.
We were disappointed in the opening hours for the sauna. As it is gender segregated and open for only two hours per day to each gender (around the dinner hour), it was very difficult to use.
Good location, beautifull architecture, very helpfull and friendly stuff.
No free Wi-Fi
The hotel is comfortable. Hotel staff was very helpful.
Cozy atmosphere, warm hotel, extremely kind staff at reception.
The breakfast was of supeior quality
lack of service staff and flexibility on arrivals
Good staff, great decor, breakfast was excellent, as was the sauna.
Beautiful interior. Internet at the reception. Clean room. Tea kettle in the room. Comfortable bed. Comfortable and fresh bathroom. Cozy restaurant. Very good location of the hotel.
the conditioner didn't seem to function
Air condition made noise and the bathroom needs renovation.
The staff was very kind
no wireless connection
