Pros: Their staff was as professional as any hotel guest possibly could expect, especially those working in the restaurant made their very best to make us enjoy the meals. Pros: The staff of Hotel Kamp made the experience wonderful! They were welcoming and friendly, patiently explaining proper procedure for using the sauna, providing extra robes and towels. The sauna itself was spotless and soothing, with the staff quietly appearing every few minutes to remove soiled towels and drinking glasses, and refill the complimentary water and gloggi pitchers. Our deluxe room was also spotless and beautiful. When we returned to our room after supper, the staff had come in to turn down the beds. They also folded the clothes we had tossed on the bed, laid cloths and Kamp slippers next to the bedside where we would first step in the morning. Candy and a water bottle was on each side of the bed as well. Even the trash container in the bathroom had been recently emptied and the first sheet of toilet paper had been refolded to a point. It showed an attention to detail I have never experienced in a hotel before. In addition we dined for our Christmas Eve dinner in the Kamp Brasserie. The food was exceptional, the smoked salmon delicious, the goose leg tender and succulent! For dessert they accommodated my request to switch desserts from the prearranged Christmas menu to another selection, my favorite Snow Egg. Overall, the dining experience was relaxed, unhurried, quiet with an occasional live entertainment of Christmas carols. We had a wonderful time. Next year I intend to fly my sons and their wives to Finland to spend Christmas with me at the Hotel Kamp!

They should keep the standards as high as possible conveying some form of continuous follow-up. This makes it all worth the money spent during the stay.
Cons: Facilities are splendid and I might wish a more appropriate piece of art on the walls. Some kind of classic interior decoration to create a bit more atmospheric experience even visually. Paintings in my room had rather vulgar frames.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and facilities are very good
Cons: When we arrived there was no man at the door or lobby boy to take our lagguage. Breakfast was a little disappointing. Very little pastry choice (at least international). All coffee was horrible, espresso was nasty. Poached eggs not included in the breakfast while all other eggs kind yes.

Cons: The restaurant encloses the sidewalk in glass to expand the available seating area. We were seated next to the temporary glass wall, and a cool breeze could be felt near our feet throughout the meal. We weren't cold, but we needed to wrap our shawls around our shoulders to stay comfortable.
The doors to the saunas squeaked and could use a squirt of WD40.

Pros: Location, views, pillows and breakfast were great.
Cons: Icy steps to the outdoor pool were too slippery. The staff should have been more welcoming and friendly. Child’s extra bed should have been included in the original invoice.

Cons: The breakfast was ok but not superb
6.0 Good
Pros: Good location near public transport. Nice pool, sauna and a very cool Sky Lounge bar. Reception staff friendly and professional.
Cons: Breakfast staff slow and did not know their stuff. Ordering barista coffee took a long time and the coffee was not up to standard. The gym is super small and some of the equipment had broken parts. We booked a superior king bed room with a view The bed was not king - two doubles put together - and the room was incredibly small. The view was to the road and industrial area. This should be made clear in the options.

Cons: Parking was 500m away from the hotel.

Pros: First I got room without view, but I called to reseption and ask if it's possible to get room with a view and staff was so great, they change my room with a perfect view. Thank you for a great service!
Cons: Hotel is really crowded, I have to waited to get check in almost 20 minutes because of busy time. Also brrakfast was really crowded, but good. If you need chill hotel, this is not the best one.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice facilities, good breakfast. The staff is very friendly. Great view from the sky bar. Good location to visit the city.
Cons: We had to pay for the slippers and the bathrobe to go to the sauna. Considering the price of the room, they could have been complementary. The breakfast area is not very well organized.

Pros: - Good location (easy to walk from central station) - Excellent breakfast buffet - Very friendly staff - They make an excellent house cocktail (ask for the Alexander)
Cons: - During the one evening I was there, there was group of slightly rowdy customers at the lounge/bar. But this is something which the hotel cannot be blamed for, of course.

Pros:
Cons: The single bed duvets on a King-size bed and the limited TV sports channels.

Pros: Rooms were big and clean, the beds comfortable, the the bar downstairs comfy.

All in all quite ok to stay.
Cons: Breakfast on the expensive side. The staff records sensitive, not needed, information on their registration database (social security number), you have to insist to get them remove it.
The shower produces ecological amounts of water, quite enough for a good shower, but not luxurious.

Pros: Nice and clean, very good location, modern hotel. Good restaurant/bistro but with a limited menu.
Cons: No nice or comfy bar. The rooftop bar is very small so you feel a bit uncomfortable with occupying a seat for some time to read. It also closes on sunday. The "bar" on the groudfloor is in the hall and not exactly cosy.

Pros: I was able to get a harbor view room which was very nice. The location is about a 20 minute walk south of City Centre train & bus station and tram #6 and #9 stop close to the hotel from City Centre. The room is functional, clean and typical for Europe. The hotel is secure, requiring key card access at all time to room hallways and elevators. The breakfast was one of the better ones in my experience. A good selection of cold and hot items. It is more than the usual continental style selection. Breakfast was included in my room rate. The room is a nice size with a nice bathroom set-up.

Cons: Room looked "tired". The carpet was worn, looked dirty and was in obvious need of replacement. The desk chair was not on wheels and was hard to move into a comfortable sitting position at the desk. Some of the staff were not very congenial. They seemed ambivalent and "bothered" when I asked some basic questions.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The common spaces of the hotel have a trendy cool design to them. The breakfast was very nice. The room was a good size and comfortable.
Cons: It was a bit more of a hike to the central Helsinki area than we realized when booking. I wouldn't choose to be so far away again. The decor in the room definitely left something to be desired. There were a few random Helsinki posters pasted to the wall, but other than that, it was stark concrete.

Pros: Nice Seaview and food variety on buffet breakfast is unexpected in free offer.
Cons: Price slightly higher, staff hasn't explained in detail during the check in such as WiFi connection, check out time.

Cons: Nothing everything was excellent and perfect. I cannot say anything negative about this hotel, its staff or location.
6.3 Good
Pros: Unbeatable location. Staff was accomodating. Breakfast was nice.
Cons: We had to change rooms after the first night as our first room was located on the 2nd floor right over the entrance, which featured incredibly bright outside lights shining straight into the room. The safe in the room was broken, and overall the room didn’t have the feel of a 5 star hotel: the bathroom was was basic, the shower head was too low and could not be adjusted. Overall more like a 3-4 star hotel at best, likely the decor and amenities have not been updated since opening in 1999. There were parties in the restaurant both nights, with quite some noise.

Pros: Hotel location is perfect, so convenient for guests. Breakfast is good, many choices.
Cons: Room bed is not very comfortable, could be better! Facilities in hotel lobby is so so, could be better and warm to guests.
3.4 Mediocre
Pros: The location was acceptable is about the best and only good thing I can say for it
Cons: It may be the worst price:value hotel I've ever encountered. Expensive ($260) but feels like the assembly plant for Ikea. Television was partially blacked out, the toilet was unflushed (you know what I mean) and the whole place cheesey.

Pros: Nice clean hotel, breakfast is worth it. Many options, along with made to order omelettes.
Cons: The only downsides I really had was the bathroom didn't seem "clean" like it should. Also, the room never cooled off when I had the A/C the coldest it would go. They sent someone up but no one told me if it was looked at or not. Needless to say, if they did, it was not fixed.

Pros: Excellent location, easy to locate and get to. The rooms were clean and tidy and the checkin/checkout was efficient.
Cons: The staff were pleasant but not overly helpful. They attempt to up-sell to a more expensive room and breakfast was not a good start - in particular I didn't appreciate being enticed with the offer of immediate access to the more expensive room when the current booking wasn't available till 3:00pm. The room was small and the reception area cramped.

Pros: Great location in the center
Cons: Bed was really soft, too soft. Pillows so big that I found it better to sleep without it. Restaurant downstairs was okay but service really slow, we waited starters more than 30min. Also the food was not exactly what it was promised (starter for two, there was supposed to be chicken but was shrimps? ) Biggest disappointment was that to use the saunas you pay extra 35€ per PERSON. We choose the hotel because of the Saunas/Spa and didnt know that we must pay extra . Also the price seemed way too expensive so we did not use the sauna at all.

Pros: Breakfast was no included. The room was extremely small
Cons:
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: The water was off all day, and they didn't tell us.
The building was shaking and loud noises all through the stay because of construction.
If they told us, we would have booked elsewhere.
Their greed surpassed our comfort.
They said they notified us, but they didn't post until after we were booked in.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Got the wrong room, single instead of double, couldnt be changed or really compesated. Had a glooiing in the bathrobe, to expensive for what you get
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds are really comfy and the breakfast is always good.
Cons: Gym would not be open until 8.30. It would be nice to go swimming earlier.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Only location
Cons: The room and bathroom was very dirty specially the shower plus they didn’t clean the room every day
5.0 Okay
Pros: All of the amenities were of very good quality.
Cons: There was an HVAC issue that made a dripping-like intermittent noise which kept re-awakening me. I attempted to turn up the heat in the room, but only got fan noise, never any warmer air. These issues seems very fundamental and should not have occurred.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the location is perfect 20mins from the city centre plus all of the connections
Cons:
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The view, location, comfort, cleanliness
Cons: 15€ surcharge for room service
6.0 Good
Pros: The pool, sauna and fitness are surpassed my expectations.
Cons: My cologne rolled under the bed so I pulled the bed out to find it. There was a mountain of piled up dust under there. I couldn't believe a hotel that claims to be 4-star could be so filthy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing.
Cons: Room was small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very big and the bathroom was enormous. The hotel was spotless and in very good condition. Staff was professional and exceptional.
Cons: No.

Pros: Comfy bed, lovely staff, great location I really enjoyed my time here and I love a hotel with a bath tub its one of life’s little luxuries, restaurant does great food And was a great breakfast included too
Cons: My coffee/ milk wasn’t replenished by housekeeping so had to get at the bar a couple of nights. Was a small inconvenience but I paid a lot of money to stay here !

Cons: Literally nothing to complain about
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Quite room, many free drinks in it. Cool view. Very good TV with Chromecast and amazing sound. Very close to center. Good breakfast.
Cons: I've ordered one big bedroom with a bathtub almost a month before check in, but at time of check in they told me that there is only a room with two single beds, and suggested to upgrade my room for 20€ per night to business class where I can have one big bed. I agreed, but then realized, that the room doesn't have a bathtub. :( Don't know who to blame but it was sad. So I paid more and didn't get what I booked... Good thing that anything else was fine.

Next to a tube station, and only 10mins walk from many attractions and shops. Easy access from the airport, which only costs €4.80 per person with only one change.
Cons: Terrible bed. Extremely soft, kept waking up all night with lower back pain due to no support whatsoever. Way too small room for a standard double. Tiny storage space, which is half occupied by the iron and the ironing board. Unpleasant restaurant setting, average food served at dinner.

Pros: Included Breakfast was fantastic. Staff was extremely friendly.
Cons: Room air conditioning did not work reliably and Windows were locked. When we inquired about it, the staff was very proactive in trying to remedy the situation. Hotel was dated, kinda looks

Pros:
Cons: One elevator has broken. The waitings for elevators were too big. And there wasn't stair to the first floor. We have waited elevator for 5 minutes and more.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good. The beds were very comfortable. The room was very clean.
Cons: Check in was later than expected even though I had asked for an early checkin weeks in advance due to having young children with me. Lady who served me at reception was not very friendly or helpful. Myself and my family had to wait 1.5 hours for our room. I dont mind waiting a little bit but after a long journey and with 2 young children this was totally unacceptable.

Pros:
Cons: No availability of local Restrauants to deliver food.
6.8 Good
Pros: Great location. Easy to access the public transport and local highlights, such as museums and shopping.
Cons: The breakfast is good, but it would be lovely to have REAL scrambled eggs. THey serve some sort of egg like product, which is a very strange consistency.
The staff were very odd about giving directions. They didn't seem to know how to tell me, "The airport bus stop is ACROSS THE STREET." And they were likewise vague about how to find a nearby ATM; one person told me, "It's a few blocks away in that direction." And the next person, "I think there is one behind the hotel." For travelers, it's kind of important to know this! The restaurant staff is just a little bizarre.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Staff were nice and tried to help at all times. Location was great as I was working at the Opera next door.
Cons: Cleaning wasn't very good, my room stonk and the bathroom drains also stunk, they sell that they have te sauna as one of the main features of the hotel and it did not work properly during my stay. I arrived on a Sunday at 2 pm and it was nothing open, the hotel does not have a restaurant open or a bar or anything to get food on Sundays, I had to go to the hotel next door (which is way better) to get some food as Scandic only had a few salads bawls and a couple of weird sandwiches. When the restaurant was open the food was not very good, nothing impressive about it and quite expensive for no reason. Breakfast was OK, kind of the same buffet breakfast of all places, very impersonal. No impressed. The Finnish law apparently requires to have a light ON in the bathrooms of hotels at all times and I could not turn it off, I called reception and they said it was a security light and that you can not turn it off, I had to sleep with the bathroom lights on all night. No fun when you need to rest and have a good night sleep to work next day.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location was ideal and the price we paid was great value for money. Good transport links outside the hotel, the staff were very friendly when we approached them.
Cons: Breakfast was a free-for-all, the food was very low standard and we were quite disappointed having stayed in other hotels in Scandinavia we had hoped for better. Nothing seemed very fresh and all seemed high quantity and very low quality. they didn't seem to handle such high volumes of people it was total chaos and they need to spread out the breakfast service better. There is very little storage in the family rooms we found, no tea/coffee facility which made heating a baby bottle a challenge. The hotel is vast in size, but cheap and cheerful!

5.0 Okay
Pros: Good location near the city centre but still relatively quiet. Furniture in the room was relatively new.
Cons: No desk in the room and slightly dated interior. Walls needed refitting and overall felt very old. Seemed like someone had tried to refurbish the rooms but done a bad job. (Quite ok hotel but not for the price of €200 per night in a tiny room.)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Old nice building
Cons: Window to bathroom is not very practical With today’s standards, the TV was pathetically small ;-) No practical tables/cupboards next to the bed.
6.8 Good
Pros:
Cons: The bed was lumpy and very uncomfortable. There was no coffee machine in the room. The TV set was very small. English tv programs were very few and poor. No HBO or Netflix available. Only 1 chair in room. Room lighting was poor.
3.4 Mediocre
6.2 Good
Pros: The staff and location were excellent as was the on site Italian restaurant, buffet breakfast, and spa services.
Cons: My room, an upgraded single, was dusty, the air/temperature control did not work and couldn't be fixed, the reading light (the only non accent light in the room) was broken and it wasn't the bulb and they had no replacement for it, another accent light (large tube with pin holes) had come out of the wall and was sitting in the only chair with me (no room to move chair). No one was available to look at these things until the next day; I could not be moved to another room. I really think these are problems they should have found and repaired themselves.
6.8 Good
Pros: Great breakfast and great location. Toscanis restaurant is awesome also. Gym is ok . Bathrooms and bathroom products are great. Having a fridge is good also
Cons: No ironing board or iron , no desk in the room. Rooms are tired and pokey - choose your room type carefully - you get what you pay for here - some suites are ippukrnt other single rooms are like prison cells.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, comfortable, great breakfast, great location, pleasant staff, free guidebook in room, luxurious towels
Cons: Not sure the design concept is worth paying more for. My single room wasn't terribly attractive and some design features, such as the bathroom sink were impractical (very shallow sink). Room temperature wasn't adjustable to make it cool enough.
6.2 Good
Pros: Bed/Mattress Quality
Breakfast
Great location, amazing transport acces, 90% of sights walking distance
Cons: Size of Room (Desire King) very small for the price
Small „King“-Bed (1,80cm only)
Room could not be heated to a cozy temperature
Bathroom not spotless (dirt of top of showerhead, piping visable because bottom of sink was broken)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and facilities. Was given a room upgrade because an event was scheduled near my room - hadn't made any complaint so thought that was great customer service.
Cons: As a solo traveller I tend to prefer room service but found the menu very limited and more expensive delivery cost than comparable hotels.

Pros: The main building (Vanha Poli) has been a favorite of mine for a long time and every time I pass through it, I love it.
Cons: The room was small and ultra modern which is a stark contrast to the jugend (art noveaux) exterior and entrance. I was never a big fan of the modern stuff and it is disappointing to mix so great old building with modernism. Also, it was extremely hard to get the room to warm up to even 22C in the middle of the summer.

Pros:
Cons: The bathroom I checked in had intense feces smell, seems someone just went to #2 in the bathroom. I changed the room. Later the night, I clogged the toilet (which very rarely happen to me). The front desk staff said there is no one to fix as it was late at night. I had to either change the room again or stay in the current room and go to the bathroom in another room (the one whose bathroom had intense feces smell). The hotel was physically beautiful and the room was nicely cleaned, but this experience ruined my only one night stay in Helsinki. I felt very uncomfortable staying in this Glo Hotel. I would never stay here again and will never recommend it to anyone I know.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is above average compared to other Finnish places, really decent coffee from a local coffee place, the rooms are quiet, nicely equipped with super comfy beds and water kettle.
Cons: The doors in the in-room bathrooms need a tad of maintenance. Breakfast can get very busy.
6.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast ok, people nice.
Cons: Area around the hotel not very attractive, too much doors to batch before coming to the room, and 535 definitely too small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is in a great location, walkable to many sights and things to do, and is comfortable and spacious. Best of all, it has an amazing breakfast spread, a great way to start off a day of hiking around.
Cons:
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in. The location is great, since it's a short walk to the city center of Helsinki, and surrounded by great little shops and restaurants. The staff was excellent, super friendly and almost every one (the exception was the cleaning staff) spoke English. The room was stunningly beautiful.
Cons: We did get the room upgrade, and the room was still on the small side for two people. The shower is a little transparent, so heads up if you are traveling with family, it's strange. There was construction going on so it was noisy, but they were very nice about that. Overall great place.
A stay at GLO Hotel Art places you in the heart of Helsinki, within a 15-minute walk of Ateneum Art Museum and Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Located in Helsinki (Katajanokka), Eurohostel is within a 15-minute walk of Uspenski Cathedral and Presidential Palace. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.

Pros: Great hostel (that in fact is a hotel), clean, sauna and good, cheap breakfast. The room was simple but enough for a short stay. Easy access to the city center and the hotel helps in booking some excursions.
Cons: The shower, even if it is very clean, does not offer enough privacy, but it is a minor drawback. Sometimes you can hear other guests in their rooms, so it depends on the others how calm is your stay. However, for us, it was not a big problem.

Cons: The outside window was located towards a nearby office. The side of the room was not extending to the open air. The number of TV stations was limited with only two English speaking channels.

Pros: Location is very good. Right by the hotel's door there is a metro station and also tram. Breakfast is good, not a very big offer but good quality. Room was very quiet. There are 24 open supermarkets and some restaurants nearby.
Cons: I had some issues wth the hot water. First day there was no hot water in the morning. They were very helpful at reception and they offered to change the room rightaway. It worked later that morning so I suppose the problem with hot water is realted to high demand times. I also found it hard to regulate the water temperature: it was either to cold or too hot. It was not possible to regulate the temperature in the room. I missed some extra confort in the room, like having a kettle.
