Pros: The room air conditioner made a disturbing sound. When the staff was told, at first they offered to have us change rooms. Then they shut off the ac and said that was the solution. They were resistant to us switching rooms and were quite rude. They told us if we weren’t happy we could just leave. At a highly rated hotel, we expect good customer service. Although our night ended up being comfortable we would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Pros: Location was quite perfect if you don't want to be in city center. We were headed next day to Hannover Zoo - so it was in close vicinity. Parking in surroundings were free - so you just need to walk a bit. Room was clean and neat, had a bunch of options (like media center, minibar, safe). If you travel with small kids then breakfast for them is free.

Cons: Free WiFi is OK if you want to read some texts, but completely sucks if you want a proper web experience, but that's quite typical for German hotels. Bed pillows are quite cheap and totally not comfy, comparing to mattress.

Cons: I was misled by the hotelinformation. Upon arrival I was told that the hotel wellness still was out of order . I'd red about it in the reviews of last August, but I assumed everything surely must have been fixed by now. The hotel should not lure guests with facilities that have not been in use for months! The single reason I'd booked this hotel was that I could take a saunabath before sleeping, and no: the suggestion to walk to another hotel and pay for the wellness over there wasn't useful at all. The receptionist did not offer me a drink on the house as a form of leniency. Besides that the airco wasn't working, even at the end of October the room was awfully hot.

Cons: Although everything was clean, the shower head could definitely need some proper cleaning in order to remove the chalk. A big minus for us - we had a sign outside the door which indicated that we don’t want to be disturbed. On both days (!) housekeeping ignored this sign and wanted to enter the room. We told them that it wasn’t necessary, they apologized and were very friendly, but hotel management should brief their staff to respect their guests’ wish for privacy.

Cons: The ‘city view’ is a crappy outlook on a cheap supermarket parking. When we told the staff at the desk they had the nerve to say ‘if you look further during the day, you can see the city..’. I booked an ‘extra large bed’ which for them means ‘two small beds pushed together to form one large’. We had to call reception during the night because the wash hand basin wasn’t draining and it was almost overflowing the whole time. The hotel was almost completely empty, yet they charged us 10€ for every hour after the check out. Being more considerate, could have been a nice gesture. Lastly, the photos seem to have been taken a long Time ago. Rooms aren’t as ‘new and neat’ as the photos. Overall the place itself is good, but it bothered us a lot that they weren’t completely honest / inconsiderate with their description (which is completely unnecessary, be honest in your description!) and the staff weren’t too accommodating / understanding when we shared our issues. Cons: Very loud bar right outside the hotel. Now, I’ve seen the hotel reply to reviews mentioning this issue that they cannot guarantee absolute tranquility as the hotel is in the city centre. To me, that comes across as if the hotel is saying “Well, what were you expecting?! Not our problem”. There are many things you can do against noise (better double glazed windows, speaking to the bar, you name it). In the city centre you do expect some nuisance, but not this bad. Furthermore, it’s not like the hotel is on the Main Street. We had to turn the fan on full blast to drown out the noise.

Cons: I booked 3 nights and cancelled the first night due a delay of my business trip. I called the owner and told him that I will arrive one day later. Arriving the day after the owner was incredibly rude saying he has already given the room somebody else. Given the situation of EMO, where everything it booked out, this was a disaster. Boldly he still charged me the whole amount! Leave this accommodation alone!
