the room could have been doing with a fresh lick of paint and a little updating but all in all for the price and the location we had very little to complain about . It had everythin that anyone on an over night or short stay requires and we would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting glasgow its location in the heart of the city centre is fabulous and noise level was not an issue .
Wonderful location, excellent breakfast
Great location and very helpful and friendly staff. The room was spacious and generally comfortable.
The bathroom needed some repair— a light was broken and a shelf by the sink was loose from the wall.
cheap but meh
The location is great - close to many things, easy walk to the airport bus.
Breakfast was mediocre at best. Toilet in the room dripped all night, which wasn't too much of a problem due to the constant road noise. Shower head could not be lifted high enough to be over my head due to a short hose and the pressure was highly variable. Bathroom mirror is placed such that I had a nice view of my bellybutton but could not see my face to shave. Room was far too warm on arriving and turning the radiator "off" still left it heating.
Very central hotel for shops and pubs. Staff very pleasant.
The bar area is a very nice place to sit whether it be in the comfy sofas at the TV or at the window overlooking the busy street watching the world go by and so it would be nice if the bar was open in the afternoon even for soft/hot drinks.
Okay but not great
The location was good and the staff was friendly.
The room was not very clean; and most unfortunately it was mainly in the bathroom. The toilet had not been properly cleaned. Also the shower head needed tightening; when turned on - water spouted in nearly every direction making it impossible to not make a giant mess. The pillows were flat and the mattress was stiff. I'm not picky about these things as long as they are clean - which they appeared to be.
Very basic but price reflective of this.
Excellent value for money. Very clean, with helpful and pleasant staff. The location is great for our girls shopping week-ends. Would recommend highly.
The hotel was close to the train station.
The hotel room was very outdated and could have been cleaner. The hotel is way over priced for what you actually get. It is also close to a bar that has very loud karaoke. The price of this hotel should have been at least half of what we paid.
close to station and shopping
lack of hot water in afternoon.
The wonderful wood work and decor in the bar and breakfast rooms on the 1st floor - very old European.
The room was clean and comfortable. We had a three bedded room and there was enough room for everyone.
Central location. Clean and comfortable. Good value for money
Not able to control the heating as it was chilly in our room and there was very very very little room to get passed the bed to the bathroom. Ironing board broken and iron leaked water.
The cleanliness of the room and how warm it was.
Bathroom radiator did not work was like an ice box.
Politeness staff, good breakfast, excellent central location
I stayed in a deluxe room once before and found it to be good but, being a 2 star hotel, I was expecting the single room to not be so great. I was pleasantly surprised. It was very comfortable. I slept well. Breakfast was good. It's not the best hotel in the world but it's great for the price.
The TV was tuned in on channels 4-9 instead of 1-5 for some reason.
It was a bed for the night, and handy for Central station. Public areas have obviously been refurbished, see below re rooms.
Room was adequate if sparse. Put off however by old fashioned shutters on window which did not swing right back so that they protruded into the room, and only net curtain. Made room dingy. Room had been redecorated, but not to a high standard and parts seemed unfinished. Duvets were flimsy and only just covered the beds. Breakfast could have been hotter.
Breakfast was poor quality and not all hot items were available.
staff were very friendly and helpful situation was exellent
