THE HOTEL Classic curves meet progressive design at Roomers, an ambitious venture in central Frankfurt. With its concept by the architectural firm Grübel and designer Oana Rosen, the 116-room Roomers is an elegantly futuristic, six-story hotel full of electrifying design flourishes, such as an illuminated, bubble-domed bio-rhythmic wellness center on its top level. MADE BY ORIGINALS Hoteliers and trendsetters Micky Rosen and Alex Urseanu have been transforming the hospitality scene in their native Frankfurt for over a decade now. Rosen is a noted gastronome and editor of the"Cool Restaurants Frankfurt” guide, and Urseanu is an entrepreneur with a retail chain in several German cities and with many years experience in international hospitality. Under their Gekko Group, the entrepreneurs turn unloved spaces into the local hotspots. ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN With a gleaming façade of glass and glazed white concrete, this former office building has been transformed into a cozy, contemporary haven by Grübel architects and designer Oana Rosen, known for her stellar work at The Pure. The hotel is filled with bold contemporary details, such as the polished stainless steel reception designed by Karim Rashid, Zumtobel lighting, Carsten Witte motif, and Cavalli Schwanen armchairs.
