When I mentioned the stains all over the fabric of the car, no reponse, when I asked if they even tried to clean the vehicle, no response. He didn't really know company policy when asked about insurance, tolls or adding a second driver to the vehicle. Cons: My pick up time was at 10am. I got there 9:45am. I was told my wait time for the guy was 15 mins, this was really an hour. The vehicles that I reserved was not at the site still after an hour wait. The amount due at pickup was not the amount that was due at pickup. I was quoted by this website $57.94. The guy told me $260.00 and then I still had to wait for the vehicle. So at 11:30am I left pissed the f*k off! I will NEVER EVER attempt to rent from this place EVER again!

Pros: The cost was reasonable, and the car ran without issue. The agent, once he arrived, was friendly.
Cons: When I went to pick up the car, the office door was locked. There was a sign in the window to let me know that the agent was out, and the national customer service phone number was written on it, but the "will return by" time was covered up so I had no idea if or when they were returning. Other customers and I waited outside in the heat for the agent to (hopefully) show up. By the time he did and had helped us all, it was over an hour after my scheduled pickup time. This resulted in me being late to the drop off site (in a different town) and they ended up being closed for the day by the time I arrived, and I was charged a late fee.

Poor Drop Off
Cons: When we arrived to drop the car, we were able to locate the parking spaces for drop off, however, there was no attendant to turn the car over to. We went inside and found a long line of people at the counter that were renting cars. We needed to catch our flight so we went to another rental car desk (Hertz maybe) that had a shorter line and they were helpful in recording our mileage and taking our keys so that we could leave. The drop off procedure needs to be evaluated with the outbound flight customers in mind.

Pros: Price was good, providing there are no surprises yet to come.
Cons: Sold as Sanford Orlando Airport. Pickup was actually well offsite. Had to pay a taxi $25+ for the 5 of us to location. Had to pay $5 extra to drop at airport. No attendants of any kind at drop off. We just left the keys, at the direction of agents at other rental agency counters, who said "Oh, you're ok". Bizarre first rental thru Kayak as well as through Hertz. I doubt I will do either again.

Cons: I booked the car and paid before I got to Florida. When I arrived in Daytona airport I realized that I had accidentally booked the car for the wrong town . I do not know how but I did. When I asked the guy if I could switch it . He had me call Hertze so I did . They said that I could not and I would have to find a way to pick up the car 50 miles away . I said I don't know how I'm going to do that . Would I be able to cancel it if I need to . And while still trying to figure out what I should do . I decided I would have to take uber or a taxi and pay the 50 mile trip to the car . So I said I will figure out a way to get there . They said they canceled the car and now I would have to rent a car for 600 more on my card . And that my money would not be oput back on my card for ten days . I did not have the 600 on my card . That is why I prepaid . I did not have a car for the 7 days in Florida. I am really upset about the way I was treated By the people on the phone ... not everyone can whip up 600 on the spot for a car . I would never pay 600 to rent a car in the first place !!!!! I most likely will not be using hertz rental on my upcoming trips that I have planned ! Really not happy about it at all

Cons: Counter personel and support staff Were not at counter, then three arrived all together from outside after waiting for good 10 minutes at Sanford Airport in Florida. A preferred member arrived! They took him first. Then told me I booked at off site and would have to take a taxi when the site said I could walk! Then wanted to charge a $60 fee and when tried to get a refund from site I supposedly book at a guy with initial of first name J HUNG up on me! Then went back to counter and got customer service who was variation of wait and push 123456 for help! Went back to counter and customer ahead of me had same issue as I did! Charged him $60! What a SCAM! Beware of this booking they give you off site and charge more when get to airport counter it is a scam! They have you cause you prepaid! Then get to car it is a mess of dings and dents paint missing and I was told guy at gate will make notes at gate! He was less than interested and I told him get out the paper! Then said we were on video right and he said Yes! I went around the car pointing out issues! He was not amused! He finally did get form lying right inside his door! Then made note of a bumper that was glued and loose! What a mess! He said it had already been fixed! I said if someone gorilla glued my bumper and callled that fixed Is ridiculous! Not on my dime make note! He was pissed to make the notes! Car ran a blue Toyota Yaris!
Drop off was fine and simple! But scam ya with off site deal and was told they reimburse you taxi ride to other site but they did not tell me that! Lone female returning a car at 4 am I am not taking a taxi! I would not even know who to call! No thanks! Will I rent again from them! Last resort! Shelby was the best at the counter! Give her a raise!

Pros: Ease of getting the car. Great car. Ease of drop off. After talking to the right person the problems I had were fixed. I had to call the national number then local number but it was taken care of to my satisfaction.
Cons: Being charged for pre-pay gas when I said I didn't want it. IT was connected.

Cons: Apparently there is a new policy where if you use a debit card, you need TWO forms of ID. I don't typically travel with 2 forms.
YOU failed to tell me this in my confiration email. Hertz failed to tell me that when I was on the phone with three different agents. Their on hold message only said debit cards are subject to credit check. I was not able to even get my car.
Cons: Car was in incredibly poor technical condition

Pros: The counter attendant threw on a charge for gas option. This was slied over and not explained nor did we agree to it. We try to notice this company again. They say they will refund the money as a courtesy. There are plenty of places to rent a car, no need for doing business with people that are deliberately deceptive.

Pros: Ken was amazing! He made the process so painless and was extremely helpful. I have rented a lot of cars from many different companies and he is by far the best employee I have ever worked with. The price was a little expensive but the car was pretty new and nice.
Cons: Both the Thrifty and Dollar counters were combined and so the wait was extremely long.

Cons: We went to return the vehicle early around 0530 am. When we pulled up to the gate the guy had the entry way half blocked with a car and other with a cone, which is fine. He was standing out front of the gate. When we pulled up he did nothing but stare at us. We had to get out and walk up to him for him to help us. Also, he didn't check the car or anything asked us for our paperwork and told us to check the mileage and gas... which I suppose worked out better for us, but I feel like that's his job... I'm sure this guy wasn't having a good day, but the encounter with him made me really mad, and had any other person been there I would have complained then. I'm usually not one to complain. All other people we encountered were helpful.

Cons: When picking up. We were late since our flight was delayed. She talked to me like I had committed a crime for being late. Once I denied the insurance since mine covers me, she again gave me an attitude. I inspected the car for damage in an unlit parking lot with the flashlight on my phone. Apparently customer service is not a priority here. After returning the form I sent off with an attitude filled 'good luck' not a thank you.

problem with drop off
Pros: Pickup onsite was very easy, staff were professional and pleasant.
Cons: We arrived very early at the aiport otday ot return our vehicle (Sanford Fl airport) the signage was good to direct us to garage area but signage was very poor in garage. I realize this was very early before 6am so staff may not have been on. I then walked back to the rental car counters to leave my keys and paperwork. No one was at any of the ocutners, I did finally find the drop box but it was on a side wall next ot the offices.
A sign in the drop off area with directions and a sign on the counter as to what to do would have been very helpful.

Day". I was picking the car up with a large group of people and didn't notice my bill was 150% higher than expected.
Pros: Our trip plans changed due to an illness in the family and we had to fend for ourselves instead of relying on extended family for transportation. I tried to modify an Enterprise reservation to start earlier, but they "had no cars." I found a good deal in a few seconds thanks to the Kayak app. I took the hotel shuttle to the airport and completed the reservation during the ride. The paperwork was ready when I walked in and I was given an upgrade. I chose a beautiful car with less than 3K miles on it. Having this car made the whole trip easier. When returning to the airport, the agent took us back to the terminal entrance to save us a short walk with our bags. It was fast friendly and exceeded my expectations in every way.

Cons: Wish there was a way to get my phone on the dash since I was using GPS so much... bit nothing I expect from a rental. All in all, can't think of a negative!

Pros: The car (Nissan Juke) was comfortable and easy to drive.
The value of the rental was pretty good.
Cons: When we picked up the car, there were maybe 4 or 5 customers before us and it took nearly an hour to be waited on. There were 2 clerks, but only one was actually waiting on customers - not clear what the other guy was doing.
Also, as per usual, they try and scare you into buying additional insurance and some toll package - both are a ripoff. We're covered by our credit card company and our car insurance. For the tolls, they accept cash, so it was fine.

Closed Rental Return
Pros: Nothing. We drove from Sanford to Miami for New Years and we went to the return office at the Thunderbird Hotel at 11:45am and no one showed up to work. Completely abandoned and no way to return the rental. Then we were demanded to return to Miami or Ft Lauderdale Airport to return the car. On New Years in Miami?!!!What a joke. Very unprofessional and proved to me why people rent from Hertz or Enterprise. Thanks for the rental but you should probably have your employees show up for work. Open till 2pm or never open?!!

Pros: Opted for the Charger and it was a pleasure to drive. It would be nice if some of the app features were active, like gps navigation, the very nature of rental implies a need for navigation. That aside a great experience.
