We noticed that the licence plate sticker on our vehicle had expired already in February 2018, when we started renting the vehicle March 2018. The hertz employee didn’t notice this and it could have been a ticket for me personally if I had been pulled over. Car was also given to us with a 3/4 filled tank. We pointed this out and were assured that it would be noted. However, when returning the vehicle, hertz told us we got it at a full tank. Lastly, although no inconvenience really, our vehicle was listed as having 26,000 miles on it when we took it out. When we returned it, we had 44,000 miles on it. Obviously we only drove a few hundred miles and this was the mistake of the employee at hertz. Overall, vehicle was great but organization was very poor and the expired licence plate makes the vehicle not road worthy.3.6 Poor

That's what I told them about the walk around never being done and that's when the told we we do our own walk around they never said that as I was renting the car. Pros:
This was the best price I could find for 10 days rental after searching on and off for a few months ahead of the trip. We had an Audi with less than 25,000 miles on it. It had a pretty big patch of paint missing from the rear trunk and bumper. Otherwise the car was pretty clean. Some nice features, although we couldn't pair our phones with the stereo and found the controls difficult to use. Got good gas mileage and handled fine.Cons:
Brakes were extremely touchy - like throw you through the wind-shield with a light tap touchy. The pick up took almost an hour. 45 minutes of which included waiting to be waited on and as far as we could, the people ahead of us were just waiting for some resolution to their issue - there was no interaction between the two staff members at the desks using their computers. Our car wasn't ready so we were given a free upgrade. The drop off was confusing. There were cars parked to the edge of the driveway entrance so I parked on the driveway apron, went in to ask where to park and was told right where it was. Other people arrived after me and parked in the road. I waited to be waited on for quite a while, just to get the answer to leave the keys in the car parked where it was. The biggest issue was the multple daily phone calls both me and my significant other received from some car warranty business telling me my 25,000 mile warranty was about to expire and to press 1 to extend the protection. I was seriously offended that my phone number had been either sold to a telemarketer, or somehow associated with the vehicle, as if I was the owner. The phone calls continued for about a week after our rental was over. So, it could have been a better experience.Avis

The car could not hold two suitcases in the back, since the design of the trunk of this car. We had to place one large suitcase on the back seat between the kids. For a long drive this was inconvenient. Additionally, it was very confusing where and how to drop of the car at the circus circus hotel. No signage and no information. I was not provided with an envelope to drop of the keys in the Dropbox. I guess the pick up location should have had this information, and I did ask but the personal at the pick up location did not know.9.6 Wonderful
