10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location! The owner is extremely available and kind. Home-baked plentiful breakfast with a spectacular countrysied view. Comfortable beds and excellent shower.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We really liked the location - it's a very beautiful 10 minute walk to the medieval cité, along a quiet road through the vineyards with an amazing view. The property itself is gorgeous, with beautiful views of the vineyards and the cité too. The pool is really nice, built in an old quarry and with a very pretty garden surrounding it. The hosts were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. They served us a fantastic breakfast and gave us plenty of tips for where to eat in town. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious and well-equipped.
Cons: There are no windows which can open, only a porch door, so there isn't much airflow through the room even if the door is open. There is a Nespresso machine in the bedroom, but I really would have liked a kettle as I like to drink tea.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: excellent breakfast with home-made food; lovely people, good location
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We were made to feel extremely welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The hosts shared not only their home but their time and themselves - loved the way they seemed to share everyone's language and culture and made us all feel at home. The location is fantastic; a short walk into the old city and the hosts provided maps and information on places of interest. Breakfast was superb on a number of levels, the food was home-made/cooked, varied and tasty, the company was fun and the views across the valley are breathtaking. The beds were very comfortable and we both slept well - we would definitely recommend staying here if you get the chance!
Cons: Rooms would have benefited from being a little bit bigger
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts are very welcoming and speak multiple languages fluently. We received great advice on what to do and where to go around Carcassonne and some great history of the area. (While being served wine and infused water). The location is peaceful and is fantastic. You can walk to the walled Cité de Carcassone if you want to. The swimming pool is a nice escape from the summer heat! Breakfast was amazing And included fresh fruit, homemade yogurt, breads and preserves, and eggs and sliced meats and cheeses.
Cons: Everything met or far exceeded our expectations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There was lots to like: - Quirky rooms and unusual furnishings - A nice clean pool - Possibly the best picture postcard location view of Carcassonne that anyone could find, is from the grounds and has a picnic table - The amazing breakfast handcooked with love and so much attention to detail - The friendliness and warmth of the host - Even the walk into the old town is a highlight as it is down a minor country road with vineyards in all directions
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous host, gave us lots of tips and info about Carcassone. We’ve been to B&Bs all over the world and the breakfast here was one of the best ever!
Cons: Nothing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly owners who give great advice regarding restaurants, and general places of interest.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect, right between the Cité and the lower town (which btw has a beautiful square with many nice cafés and restaurants). The hotel offers an incredible view of the fortress. But above all it is an attraction in itself: everything is arranged with great sense of style and attention to every detail. Our room was perfectly comfortable, breakfast was delicious. We had a very good time there, and our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location close to the cite, owners very friendly and helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Just a short 8 minute walk up the hill to the old city.
Cons: Because it’s an old building bags will need to be dragged up a set of narrow stairs. Not a problem for me but do note if you have a physical impairment.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was cordial and helpful. There is a terrace on the top floor with a spectacular view of the Castle. This alone made the place worth the cost. The rooms were spacious and charmingly decorated. We had a room to sleep 4 ppl and it was comfortable for everyone. I definitely recommend it.
Cons: The air conditioner was not working. The bathroom had a strong sewage-like smell (we kept the window wide open and closed the bedroom door to contain the smell). The breakfast was priced higher than the content's worth.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Within walking distance to the castle. The property has an amazing view of the castle. A must see at night. Hosts were very helpful and suggested good restaurants to eat at. Room was nice and modern.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: WIFI, staff, room, 3rd floor patio view were all great!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We had a family room, which was clean and comfortable. There was a lovely courtyard with seating at the back where you could have breakfast. The couple that run the hotel were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location for both the castle and the newer part of town, which are within easy walking distance.
Cons: We would have liked to be able to open the window for some fresh air, however there was air conditioning in the room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location close to the Citadel. Lovely garden for breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything melted and exceeded expectations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and garage

Cons: I wish we had planned to stay longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location for both the new and old city is perfect-a 10 minute walk from each. Accommodation is fsultkess-Juliette was so friendly and helpful lots of lovely advice to make the most of our weekend. Views are beautiful to the castle and most enjoyable with the wine supplied downstairs (just letting Juliette know what we'd used by the pool is a brilliant touch!) Can't recommend this hotel enough!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was awesome
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Juliette was a great host, the hotel met all our expectations and more. Carcassonne was lovely, we even got to go and see Tosca in the castle, courtesy of a nice gentleman who GAVE us some tickets to the show (Nice Man). We were driving Dow to Spain and decided to break the journey and we are so glad we did. Hopefullly we will be going back again for a longer stay.
Cons: The room was lovely with a great view to the battlements of the castle.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location
Cons: We loved everything about the property.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: location was great. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Room was very clean and modern.
Cons: You can’t eat or drink anything in the pool area.... I understand safety issues with glass, but why not allow plastic cups??? Was very odd and as a result we did not bother to use it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The decor is amazing , individuality at its best, comfort level the highest and the breakfast excellent . The closeness to many restaurants a real plus.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Location is excellent. Just in front of the main entrance to the mediveal city. The property very modern and clavan. For me was more a 5 star hotel than a 4. I really enjoyed stay here for 3 nights and made day trips
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Location, cleanliness, friendly staff.
Cons: Parking charges for the hotel private car park, decking area and outside pool needs refurbishment. We thought €180 a night was a little expensive (breakfast was not included and would have cost an additional €18 per person), comparable to similar hotels we have stayed in I would expect to pay around €120 per night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed. Big shower. Patio with outdoor furniture. Located right outside entrance to medieval city. Private parking area very convenient.
Cons: Lower level with no view; patio looked out to 7 foot high wooden fence. Small single basin sink impossible for 2 guests. Door key lock system always problematic.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location to the Cite. Nice spacious comfortable room.
Cons: The plastic crinkle sound of the mattress protector.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location and pool
Cons: We had such a mixed experience. The hotel has 12 close knit rooms and ideally should be adult only. We had a number fo children staying in rooms next to us and it was very noisy. Walls are thin and you could hear the rooms upstairs showers for example. Children running and crying in corridors at the crack of dawn is not usual in a boutique hotel. Not sure the price reflected the overall facilities. but the location for the entrance to the medieval city is good and the pool good. Be aware there is a cost of £12 per night for hotel car parking. The unfortunate thing that ate into a day of our holiday was our hire car was hit by a member of the hotel staff in the hotel car park. They were very apologetic and we sorted out paying the excess of the car hire insurance together but it took nearly day of my time to sort out the insurance with calls back and forth the UK which tainted out experience as you can imagine. Whilst the member of staff couldn't have done more I would have expected the 'hotel' to offer some level of support and compensation seeing as it happened on hotel grounds but they didn't and it was left to myself and the member of staff to scramble around insurance ins and outs. Very inconvenient and wasted a whole day of our time. We checked out after two days and went to another hotel in Carcassone.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Superb location, spotless, good breakfast. Easy private parking
Cons: Nothing bad that would be worthy of comnent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel just at the door to Carcassonne historic site.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Absolute fantastic property and location for us , Serge and muryel were the perfect hosts , the accommodation were spotlessly clean and very comfortable, we will be back for sure in the not too distant future
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a return visit to the area and we would not consider staying anywhere else. The standard of customer service is beyond anything you could possibly expect. Serge and Muryel are the perfect hosts and their approach to guests is fantastic. The city is a beautiful base to travel in the area and I would highly recommend staying here. you will not be disappointed.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about Domaine de Marseillens. Serge and Muryiel were so welcoming and friendly it was a real home from home. We loved the location half way between the medieval city and Lake Cavayère although you may need a car if you don’t want to walk far. The hotel is a little bit different from the usual, individual and very French in character. We absolutely loved it.
Cons: Nothing at all, we liked everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Domain des Marsiennes is an oasis of beauty, run by two of the most hospitable, friendly and helpful hosts I have ever had the pleasure of staying with (Muryel et Serge). Just perfect.
Cons: Not a thing. Perhaps the ability to pay by card rather than bank transfer/cash.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The old renovated farm is beautiful. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful, and the breakfast fresh and tasty. It's not very far from Carcassonne's Citadel by car, which makes it a perfect place to stay to discover the wonderful city while being far from civilisation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just two mins drive from the walled city of Carcassone, this property is a little gem. The facilities are excellent with a lovely pool and sunbathing area; the rooms are very individually styled and comfortable, lots of stone and wood make this a really interesting place to stay. Serge and Muryel are absolutely lovely hosts serving a superb breakfast, they made us very welcome and we really enjoyed our stay.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is brilliant all fresh produce and beautiful freshly made smoothies. You are made to feel very comfortable and an extension of the family so much so I've decided to adopt Serge and Myrial as my French parents. They couldn't do anymore for me and my partner if they tried. Drove us into city for our evening meal every night in a nice Jaguar which by Taxi would cost £15.00 each way. I also requested drinks on arrival which was left in fridge for us ready at no extra cost as they would not accept payment for they said it's a gift! The rooms are beautiful had a look in them all they are stunning so eclectic too perfect can't wait to go back.
Cons: NOTHING

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were amazed at how beautiful this Château hotel actually is. Although we had obviously seen the photos, it is such a delightful surprise to pull up outside. The grounds are beautifully kept and tranquil. Amazing secluded pool! The interior of the hotel has been renovated so tastefully keeping the feel of a beautiful french residence whilst being equipped with modern fixtures and fittings. Breakfasts were excellent. Staff fabulous. Too many superlatives I know but cannot honestly fault it. Oh and we had 3 amazing meals at the restaurant next door, S Comme. Wow. We want to go back. It is worth noting that the hotel is 10 minutes out of Carcassone but as we had a car this was fine for us. Excellent car parking available.
Cons: Loved everything

Pros: The hotel staff were extremely kind, helpful and efficient. The hotel was immaculate and the pool a delight. It was a really relaxing place to stay for a few days while on our way to our sons wedding near Montpellier. The restaurant within the grounds was also excellent. It was good to be close to explore carcassonne but far enough out of town to have peaceful and relaxing times. Plenty of secure parking which was important to us. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Cons: Nothing, we thought everything was ideal for a relaxing stay.

Cons: It was more remote than I expected.

Pros: the place was great. the room was wonderful and neat and clean. looking our on the garden and pool. location was not a problem as you can get a bus or taxi into the city so i do not like to rate location as there are many element you would need to look at. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room is so nice and clean. There fresh strawberries when I arrived. The restaurant is absolutely great!
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfort room
Cons: Difficult to explain, but let's say it this way: there is no soul in this hotel/restaurant. It all looks perfect and very modern and clean but it is missing something. Authenticity. Same for the 2 star restaurant; lot of focus on details but... the taste was flat... no surprises... tip to the chef: go back to the essence... to your heart... not to what you learned at school
3.3 Mediocre

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Attentiveness of staff. Cleanliness. Smart decor.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location is amazing, just a short walk away from the Carcassonne fortress (approx 7 min by foot or 10 if you are a slow walker). Hotel is located in a very quiet area, our room had a beautiful view towards an equally beautiful garden. My wife and I stopped here for a night in our route towards Granada and it was indeed the relaxing oasis we were hoping for. Room was sufficiently big, aircon was on and all amenities needed (elevator, toiletries etc) were in place. The receptionist was very helpful and provided us with all needed information. Before leaving, we had a very nice breakfast on the terrace, just perfect ahead of a long drive of 1600 km. Only regret is that we stayed just 1 night :).
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, comfort, cleanliness and quality of room
Cons: Sound insulation between rooms was poor Breakfast should be included
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved the whole experience of the hotel
Cons: We were told there is wifi to all the rooms..........not so, we could only get an internet connection in the lobby of the hotel. They kept saying at reception that there IS wifi to the rooms, but there isn't which was a nuisance, having to go downstairs to get online.

Pros: Beautiful property set in a great location near Carcassonne. Relaxing by the pool in the very hot weather with the ever attentive bar staff was a real pleasure. The hotel staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.
Cons: We were a bit disappointed by the restaurant. The inventiveness of the food, its presentation and the service were all good, but not up to the one star standards of restaurants in London.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Superb 4 day stay. The food in the Michelin star restaurant is fantastic (but expensive as you might expect). There is a bistro restaurant attatched to the golf club at the hotel which has an excellent lunch and dinner menu if you don’t want to push the boat out in the main restaurant.
Cons: You need a car if you stay there. Taxi company was brilliant for just getting into carcassone, but really a car would be necessary to see the surrounding area.

5.0 Okay
Pros: It is very close to the Medieval city, 10 minutes walking distance
Cons: There are no bedside tables, only big squares of hay instead. Unable to rest cups/telephones or anything on the top, the top is domed so everything falls off. The main light in the room had spider webs and dust all over it, it had obviously not been cleaned for a while

Pros: Can't say enough nice things about this hotel. The room was nicely organized and the bed was quite comfortable. Breakfast was included and was a very nice buffet. We were pleased that a well designed waste bin had room for both trash and recycling. There were spacious common areas and we made use of the chairs and tables outside on the covered patio to relax.
Cons: No problems!

Pros: Size of room. Pool was nice. Free Parking. Seperate bathroom and toilet.
Cons: Staff were not pleasant. Breakfast was basic.

Pros: Liked the room - family room set up worked well for us
Cons: Booked this place as it had breakfast included. We were certainly not late for breakfast, but there was little choice left. When I asked for some more bread, I was told that there wasn't any! And that was before they had stopped the breakfast service.

Pros: Having stayed here several years ago, we knew that this small hotel was not only in the right location for visiting the castle, but also that it provided pleasant surroundings, a good breakfast, friendly staff and excellent value for money. Open-air parking is free to the side and rear of the hotel, but undercover parking is also available for a fee. On this occasion we had family members with us and their assessment mirrored ours. We shall definitely stay here again.

Pros: Lovely house with big rooms and big windows, just a 10-15 minute walk from the old city of Carcassonne. Air conditioning. Clean.Secure and free parking. We received a warm welcome from our host who was also very helpful.
Cons: Trying to have a shower using the shower attachment on the bath was a bit awkward but for one night it was ok. The house is on a busy road and we could hear some traffic noise from our room but fortunately it was at the back so not too intrusive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property, great welcome and fantastic location to explore Carcassonne. We would highly recommend booking this. Free secure parking too.
Cons: All good.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was very prettily presented and very clean. I arrived when it was very hot and there was air con which is always a bonus. I had to leave before the normal checkout time but the owner was very helpful and arranged breakfast for me. It’s was a very tasty traditional french breakfast.

Pros: Great location in the historic area and a 10 min walk to Carcassonne castle. Mr Bernard very helpful. He has limited English but we can speak French so no problem. Good breakfast. Large room and en-suite overlooking the garden at the back. Free safe parking available at the propert.
Cons: Traffic noise in the morning. We were at the back so would be worse in a room at the front. No shower. Had to use hand shower in the bath. Ok but messy!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodations were elegant. Everything was provided that one might need, including an exterior drawing room. Tha breakfast was more than ample. Parking was right on the gated premises. One of the best B&B s we have had the pleasure to visit. So conveniently located as well.

Pros: Location and helpfulness of the owner, particularly with ideas for touring the area. The house and its decor.
Cons: A shelf in the bathroom for toiletries etc., would be a useful addition
9.3 Excellent
Pros: elegant but up to date room - good bathroom and excellent french breakfast including fresh croissants. owner was quite friendly and we chatted in his limited english and our limited french.
Cons: ground floor room fine for a couple of nights but probably worth paying extra for old city views upstairs. also advise phoning in advance of arrival - we got there at 1720 and had to wait for the owner to turn up.

Pros: Great location, just below the walled city and a few hundred meters from the old bridge. Plenty of restaurants and cafes on the street. Simple, but comfortable room. Great breakfast.
7.0 Good
Cons: Internet didn’t work (weak security)
5.8 Okay
Cons: Only top floor has view on the castle.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location, on the route to the castle at Carcassonne, was much better than expected. Lots of restaurants in the road, and close to the old bridge from which it's a short walk into the 'new' town. The owners of Les Florentines were very friendly, and room was comfortable and clean, if a little old fashioned. Shame I had a view of a wall, but I wasn't planning on spending much time in the room so it didn't matter.
Cons: No view from windows, but I'm sure the price reflected that.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The personnel, who were very helpful and agreeable. The location!
Cons: The stairs to the 2nd floor, which however gave a wonderful view of the Cité
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast and very friendly hosts!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Small privately run B&B in an excellent location near the gate to the Cite de Carcassonne old town. Secure parking for cars or cycles was available free. Evening meals were not provided but there are numerous handy restaurants and the breakfast was excellent. Great value - simple straightforward B&B - very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Nothing - it is just what it is.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast.
7.5 Good
Pros: The only thing that was misleading was the picture on the site which showed an outdoor green area with the wall of the medieval cite beyond. I can't figure out where that picture was from. The place is on an old street and is an old building which was fine but was misleading in picture.
Cons: Nice hostesses and great location to medieval cite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good. We didn't exepct anything more. Location is great for walkaround. Old town a few minutes away.
Cons: As location is in a small street it's logical there could be a difficulties with parking. But there are some public parkings around and with a bit of luck ....

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Every detail is perfect! The people are extremely nice and kind. The property is very clean and luxurious and the employees treat you like royal, queens. The dishes, the linen, the view, everything is wonderful and luxurious. You can see the castle from your room, from your porch and the breakfast, when is served outside, you can have a wonderful view of the castle! Everything is well taken care of and chic!
Cons: There is NOTHING wrong with this hotel! Absolutely NOTHING! You MUST stay here!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location with view over the castle. Service level is generally very high. Food and service at the hotel Michelin restaurant is excellent
Cons: We booked a suite through the website and we were given a one bedroom apartment opposite the main building. Was told by staff that it is very quiet as there were only three apartments in that building.. what the reception didn’t say is that it is right above an ice cream shop and right opposite the main entrance of The cathedral. Whilst it was quiet when all the windows were closed, but as soon as I opened the window and switched off the air con for some fresh air , it is exceptionally noisy. Worse still , when we were shown the apartment, light bulb on the wall was missing. The blinds on one of the windows were broken. Despite we paid extra for three people in the suite ( travelling with my husband and my daughter) we only got 2 sets of everything... having said that , when we told the reception of these problems, they sent extra towels, water and shampoos to the apartment as well as put the light bulb in the lights Breakfast selection was good but service was chaotic on the 2nd day we were there. We were told to sit inside the restaurant rather than clearing a table for us in the terrace, which we have requested. When asked for an expresso, we were asked to help ourselves from the machine. Breakfast was not supposed to finish at 1030 but the staff started to put food and drinks away from about 10 am . I have to ask specially for a glass of water (which they have put away already at 1015) and a portion of mushroom( almost empty in the tray and was not replenished) which when it arrived it was cold ! Worst still, the air con was broken on the second night ( perhaps it was our user error but we have tried many times through the night and couldn’t get it to work). As a result I couldn’t sleep ... couldn’t open the window either as the noise from a machine in the ice cream shop downstairs was noisy...
6.8 Good
Pros: Great location very historic
Cons: Noisy pool, reception is small and disorganised. We ate in the restaurant and having eaten in a number of similar restaurants we were disappointed felt like they were going through the motions
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is superb - can't be beat. The staff is wonderful. The rooms are very comfortable. The concierge Charlotte was very helpful, and booked a last minute walking tour for us. Gorgeous, special, historic property. The restaurant was amazing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All good.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The experience living in a historical mid evil castle is elegant and beautiful. It is great with kids and family but not Disney and childish. The hotel itself is beautiful and the restaurant has breathtaking view. Have to book in advance.
Cons: The high tourist season drove the price high and it is hard to book dinner.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: LIkes: Fabulous view of the City over the Walls Overall feel of the hotel Comfort of the pillows and bed Best location for staying in the Old City Terrific breakfast Complimentary castle tickets
Cons: Dislikes Car has to be at least 200+ yards from the hotel--no private auto access--they use a small van to take you to the hotel. The room we were in was quite small--the closet door backed up to another needed door--constant banging. Chair for the desk had arms--could not go under the desk--another small room issue Partial glass separator for shower in the bath does a lousy job of keeping water in the tub Needs more electrical outlets--especially around the desk area
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The Concierge lady (Charlotte I think she was called) was very helpful. Also the barman (I think called Jerome) was very professional and knowledgable. The food at the restaurant is worth it's 1 Michelin star. There were a couple of concerts next door and it was wonderful to be able to listen to them from our room.
Cons: The Hotel advertises itself to have a SPA. I expected to be able to use the facilities of the SPA (steam room), free of charge, however I was asked to pay 30 Euros for 30 minutes. This was not explicit when I booked the room. The first morning we were having breakfast on our terrace and the gardener spent a considerable amount of time spraying what seems to have been pesticide right in front of us (I have a video evidence). Also, one of the afternoons we sat in the garden and ordered some coffee. The waiter arrived with our coffee, as well as the drinks for the table next to us. He spilled a lemonade bottle all over me, and my mobile phone, but did not even attempt to clean up after his mess. The deco in the room is rather dated.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was magnificent in Historical Terms, Rooms very comfortable and Dining facilities very good, Restaurant Barbacane food excellent wine overpriced, Reception and Porter staff excellent also the lady concierge was very helpful
Cons: Breakfast food quality very good but service was terrible, very welcoming staff on arrival but ordered food very slow and being English Bacon was very scarce and asking seemed to be only met with a smile and it’s coming, it rarely did, evening Dinner food again was exceptional but again let down by waiter service
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everyrhing. Absolutely amazing !
Cons: Nothing

Pros: I loved the location, just in the middle of the medieval town Carcassone, next to the Castle and the wiev from the window with grapes and other plants in it. The room was nice with very comfortable beds. The staff of the hotel was very friendly and ready to help, specially the porter who drove us from parking to the hotel.
Cons: The hotel would need a little refreshment, specially bathrooms which are a bit old. I think breakfast could be better ( not many things to choose, specially for kids - no pancakes). The windows could be also better, as we could hear everything from the street, which was anoying specially early in the morning :(
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent, lively location within walls of old city. Very nice lounge and bar at hotel. Average room with air conditioning.
6.8 Good
Pros: Location good
Cons: As elderly woman travelling alone not happy to have room with steps on spiral staircase between room and lift. Promised porter to help with luggage on departure didn’t transpire. Transport out of cité very late
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast. Very comfortable room with a great view.
Cons: We went to the car park and was told that a porter would collect money n five minutes. No one arrived and we called again and was told he would be there in five minutes . Still no body came to collect us. We ended up walking (in the heat) to the hotel. We were given a complimentary gin and tonic.

Cons: No good places for breakfast- all they served was omelette everywhere! But didn’t try the hotel breakfast as only was there for one night! The toastie by the pool wasn’t nice at all! Too much cheese.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: the breakfast was very good.
Cons: no frig in the room
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Goed location, at short distance from the cite. Helpfull staf, that speak passable english as well. Good room, extra bed for our son (age 7)was also ok for his size.
Cons: The airco was no match for the warm summer Night. It made a lot of noice, but did not lower the room temperature...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, location, location.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast. Great location. Air-con! Good but small pool
Cons: Everything was fine but the towels were a bit old
8.0 Excellent
Pros: good breakfast. room was rather small for the price we paid and it did not have fridge (however we could hand our items to the reception) good parking lot
Cons: Personnel was not friendly : at reception, at the restaurant. we booked dinner and the waiters were not professional. one brought us the first dish before the apero and simply stated that we could drink the apero after that which we clearly refused. Apero's were warm and we had to ask for straws and ice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff Ideal location, just steps away from La Cite Swimming pool
Cons: Can’t think of anything I didn’t like!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and helpful staff. Free parking. Close to old town. Quiet, nice and comfortable room with AC.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location for old town and close to airport....good pool area
Cons: Card for door didn't work very well.....trouble with the door entry
4.5 Okay
Pros: Average breakfast, good location of the hotel. Offered a free medieval guided tour, which was excellent. Although with the price paid for the stay I wonder how free this tour was?
Cons: Unfortunately this has been one of the worst 4-star hotels I´ve been in. €375 for a 2-night stay in this hotel was far over the reasonable. The room was small, airco outlet was dirty, hygienic paper holder was loose, shower thermostat didn´t function properly, furthermore the illumination had to be repaired, shower walls where stained. Hope the owner gets the complaints and that his other hotels in Carcassonne are up to standard.

Featured amenities include express check-in, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
6.3 Good
Pros: We were only staying one night as a stopover from Bordeaux to Provence so we specifically chose it as an easy place to get in and out of and it was just that. Good location just outside the city walls, and easy walk to the fortress and main center of town. It was clean and the bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly enough.
Cons: The apartment was VERY basic. We booked the one bed apartment and the kitchen and bathroom was sparsely equipped with supplies and toiletries. They required you to fully clean the kitchen upon departure or your be charged a 25 fee, BUT there was no cleaning supplies provided so you had to buy a 5 cleaning kit. Also the reception closes from 1-3 so if you arrive within this time frame you cannot check in. OK for a one night stopover but I wouldnt book again.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location-wise; couldn't be better; a brisk uphill 5 minute walk and you're at one of the Citadel gates. Finding the place is a bit of chore; you go round and round the one way system always expecting the next side-street to be the one that gets you far enough down - but no; round you go again ! This place obviously has a strange story behind it that no-one's talking about; is it an apart-hotel, a conference centre or what ? (Even the strange room numbering seems to bear this out.) The rooms are set up as mini-suites rather than conventional 'hotel rooms'; which is great for the amount of space you get - but most of it is wasted space; with a rather sad looking sofa lingering marooned in a large living-room area that doesn't really work. My room (56G) had a wonderful view of the main 'castle' walls. The reception shutdown from 11.00 to 15.00 (double check those times ?) could be a pain for late arrivals; even getting out of the complex during that period was a pain. Does the negative feedback that they seem to get for that on other reviews justify saving a couple of hours of a receptionist's salary ?? Just another enigma in this place which could/should be a little gem !!!
7.1 Good
Pros: It was very close to the castle and in the low season was 38€ a night. That is exactly how much it's worth. Happy
Cons: Very basic
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient location for access to the castle.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location below the medieval city. Lots of space in the simply furnished room and excellent air conditioning. Secure parking below for a nominal charge as did not need car in the city. Reasonably close to a range of restaurants outside the citadel.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A stones throw from the old town, comfortable, clean, and modern for an amazing price.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location.
Cons: Bad attitude of receptionist when we told them the aircon wasn't working.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The view
Cons: Poor facilities, tired empty room with dirty pots and no kettle.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location to walk the oldtown! Very calm and spacious.
Cons: The kitchen equipment could be renewed.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing stuff, very clean, the breakfast was exceptional
Cons: A strange smell in the building and in the room, the air conditioner was very very noisy
5.0 Okay
Cons: The air conditioning leaked puddles in our room. The room was musky smelling. Checking in after hrs was frustrating. They first required a cellphone to text a special code to. Not all tourists would have a working phone while traveling. They finally agreed to emailing the code.
