While I had requested a economy/small vehicle, I got a small SUV. Fortunately it got good gas mileage. It was very clean, ran well, and served our needs. The person working the Budget counter when I picked up the car was not overly friendly. He didn't seem particularly interested in his job. Later in the day that I rented the car, I discovered I had lost my driver's license. It most likely happened at a beach, but I thought it might be possible that I left it at the Budget counter. I called the counter a couple of times trying to reach the employee, but my two calls were forwarded to a main Budget number. I drove back to the airport to try to talk to the employee. I discovered he was chatting with the gentleman at the information booth. It was frustrating that no one ever picked up the phone at the counter.Reviewed 21 Dec 2025

Pros:The sales agent was honest and helpful even though she had no car to rent. She explained to the best of her knowledge.Cons:There was NO car to pick up even though numerous emails assured us our car would be ready for pick up. We were stuck with NO transportation. Enterprise was able to help us. Will NOT use Budget again.Reviewed 25 Mar 2021
