Pros: Our flight was delayed and we arrived late at night, so unfortunately didn't have the chance to spend much time at the hotel. The night porter made a real effort to welcome us and arranged excellent room service. Everything about the property and room was great. Reception advised us very well regarding restaurants and made bookings.
Cons: I was informed immediately after making the (non-refundable) booking that the restaurant was closed for a private function on the night of our stay. Given that the restaurant will be an important factor in many guests' decisions to stay in the hotel, I recommend checking before you book. To be fair the manager did suggest alternative restaurants.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Incredible small hotel with exceptional staff, amenities, beautiful rooms, the best breakfast, fantastic location.
Good 7.9
Pros: VERY LOVELY ROOM!!!!! we love our room and we have snapped a lot of photos for our memory in the room. The bedroom is also well equipped with everything, from the preparation of the room to the friendliness of the staffs, everything was great!
Cons: Hotel room price was very high for that location and it is far from the city centre.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Interior decor, art collection, gastronomic restaurant, privacy (only 6 rooms), attentive and knowledgeable staff
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The food
Cons: Being asked to rate the experience twice before it began and ended
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was an awesome experience, breakfast was so elegant, dinner at the Michelin restaurant was amazing, everything, welcome, staff, rooms, definitely we love to come back.
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Staff and the quality of the rooms
Cons: No bar for the guests or meeting area it’s a 2 star Michelin restaurant with 6 rooms and nothing else.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything about it was amazing. Despite being in the city it still managed to capture the feel of a country chateau. Staff were wonderful in all respects. Would love to return.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything about it is first class, yet completely unpretentious. Nobody will be disappointed. Very pleasant and friendly team. Beautiful room, fantastic dinner.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed with lovely garden views. An extremely large bathroom with separate shower and toilet facilities was most enjoyable. Toiletries provided were thoughtful and generous as well as the little touches of welcome macarons and departure lemon cake with drinks for our road trip was all YUM! The staff were exceptionally helpful, considerate and professional. Dinner at the Michelin Star restaurant was phenomenal. I would recommend the hotel highly for a wonderful experience and memorable stay.
Cons: I cannot imagine what guests could possibly not like about the Hotel. It is truly an exceptional establishment with an amazing compliment of staff.

Pros: Very new bed and breakfast, nice furniture, quiet area, close to the center, very clean
Cons: They have three rooms, two of which are very nice. We unfortunately had the third room in the basement without a real window. I think this should be clearly indicated in the booking process.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Just back from a couple of days in Bordeaux The L'Echoppe des Bouilles is a truly lovely B&B to stay.Host Aurore went that extra mile to make our stay a memorable one. The room was spacious,( we had the sky room, it was lovely to see the stars at night ) The king size bed was really comfy. The breakfast was excellent with homemade yogurts / jams and cakes, and sets you up for the day. The centre of Bordeaux was about a 15 minute stroll away or if you preferred to take the tram,it is a couple of minutes walk away from the B&B to the tram stop. If you plan to go to Bordeaux i would highly recommend the L'Echoppe des Bouilles
Excellent 10.0
Pros: If you need a place to stay in Bordeaux, this is IT! I am a very picky traveler and this adorable bed and breakfast was amazing! Aurore was wonderful from the start and a warm greeting and went over everything from where to go in Bordeaux to a complete tour of her lovely home and our room. Even how to work the AC! She makes sure that there is everything available for a convenient and comfortable stay! Clean! Clean! Clean! Her breakfast is so sweet and on the terrace. She asks how your evening was and then serves you breakfast. Coffee, tea, orange juice, homemade cakes, homemade jams, yogurt and delicious bread. It is a great start to the day! The neighborhood is a short walk to a nearby tram that takes you anywhere in the city. Cheap too! Only $5 for a 24 hour pass! I can not say enough about L’echoppe des Bouilles! If we ever go back to Bordeaux, it is a definite we will stay with Aurore again!
Cons: Not a thing!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Aurore is an excellent host. She made us fabulous breakfasts and gave us good tips on what to see and where to eat.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: A beautifully renovated property, exceptionally clean with all the facilities we needed.Well positioned for tram and bus services or a 15 minute walk to Bordeaux centre. Aurore is very friendly and informative. We would highly recommend and will definitely return.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Stephan was an excellent host. He offered very helpful information and recommendations allowing us to get the most from our visit to Bordeaux. He provided delicious home cooked breakfasts including homemade cakes and jams. Very comfortable bed, air conditioning was great, the house was immaculately clean and tidy, close to the tram and also walking distance to the city centre. Would highly recommend staying at this lovely bed and breakfast.
Cons: Everything was great!
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Located in a quiet residential neighbourhood, 5-minute walk to public transportation/tram. Comfortable and nicely decorated rooms. A small patio/garden area is also enjoyable for the included breakfast or relaxing when the weather is nice. The owners are wonderful and live nearby - we had to leave extra early on our final morning and they had breakfast already set out for us. If you will have a car, you should ask for off-street parking when you reserve your room (it is limited).
Cons: Nearby parking is expensive. Free parking is about 5 minutes away and harder to come by. The owners do have limited off-street parking that may be available and should be reserved ahead. Also, as most everyone takes the tram or has a car, there are few corner markets or restaurants in the area and may not be open on weekends.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Aurore is a very good and very helpful host . Beautiful breakfasts, stylish and clean rooms, 15 min walk on foot to centre.
Good 7.5
Pros: The room itself was comfortable, breakfast was great. The owner is prefect.
Cons: Our room is at the basement, unfortunately the bathroom has drainage smell
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Cozy people, good breakfast and quiet neighborhood
Cons: Check-out at 11h is unusual. Stairs are also a problem if you have big or heavy luggages

Pros: Just great
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had a fabulous 3 night stay here. The owner gave us a free room upgrade. Breakfast was super, local produce and we were asked which pastries we would prefer. The facilities are excellent, to have a small kitchen area at your disposal with coffee etc and a fridge to use was really helpful and courtyard areas with outdoor seating. The pool area was lovely and the location very quiet and peaceful, but still easy access to the city (a 2km straight walk). The cleanliness of the room was unquestionable, absolutely spotless and very comfortable. Good attention to detail with plugs and mirrors in the right place etc. Shutters at the windows etc. Really exceptional. Street parking is free on the surrounding roads. It says “payant” on the road but there was a local resident revolt and so it is totally free.
Cons: We can’t think of anything!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Such a cute place to stay. Lovely dip in the pool before bed, the breakfast was delicious. Nicest croissants ever. Really good cup of coffee! Loads of yummy cheeses, owner was a sweetheart. Such a quiet relaxing place! If we are in Bordeaux again we will def stay!!
Cons: Wish I could have stayed longer
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The room was lovely. The bed was very comfortable. It was a nice to have breakfast included. And it was great to chill by the pool.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The staff were fantastic and exceptionally knowledgable on the surrounding areas.
Cons: It was a little out of the town, however a fantastic tram services didn’t make this an issue.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The pool is much appreciated.
Cons: The walk to and from the city may be safe but some of the streets on the way are very empty and gloomy.
Good 7.9
Pros: Staff very nice.’ Bed was a little hard.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Lovely place with great service and real attention to detail. The breakfast was lovely and the pool was nice and cooling after a day of sightseeing - it’s bigger than what it looks like on the pictures. Highly recommend!
Cons: Location could have been more central and there doesn’t seem to be much to see/ do in the immediate area. But we knew that so it was fine.
Good 7.9
Pros: Out of town location lacked welcoming bars etc but the Tram system into town centre was frequent efficient and reliable . Room was clean, larger than expected and comfortable
Cons: Given the unseasonable weather some room heating should perhaps have been offered and the continental breakfast lacked variety
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Great attention to detail from the owner Claire and her assistant Annisa. Lovely little B&B with a good outdoor pool as well.

Excellent 9.6
Pros: Fabulous hotel, very stylish and comfortable and excellent location. Nice breakfast and friendly staff.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: A very comfortable bed and pillows. Good basic bnb with beautiful views across bordeaux from our room. A great spot for a quick city break.
Cons: There are no lifts so keep this in mind although our room and it's views were well worth the climb.... So would definitely not stop me booking a return visit.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Excellent staff. Accommodation comfortable. Nice breakfast. Safe + Good location 10 minute walk into centre. If staying here I’d recommend Clos de Augusto restaurant ( 5 min walk ) fantastic!
Cons: Hard to park
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Location short stroll to tram. Bus to Gare St Jean a few steps away. Quiet! Immaculate presentation of property and bed very comfy. Great (and filling) continental breakfast within price. Small property, only 5 rooms so not overrun with other people. Obliging, considerate staff with good English. Would definitely stay there again!
Cons: Only one small gripe - wifi a bit weak and constantly timed out. Otherwise couldn't fault.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean and very good service
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.3
Pros: New clean apartments not far from center, very clean. Quiet place and with convenient parking in the garage nearby.
Cons: We asket two separate blankets in advance, but did not recieve it.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: A really nice surprise. Our room was spacious and airy with a comfortable bed, good shower and very nicely decorated. We had been at a 5 star hotel on Ile de Re and this was better by far! The breakfast was also good and great that there is a Nespresso machine and a communal area to sit. Maxime was the perfect host, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the city, things to do and places to eat. Would thoroughly recommend this place.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Good location, 15 mins walk to city center, clean room with continental breakfast included. Luckily we found street parking in front of the building.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Check in and out process was very smooth, room was very clean with big comfy bed. Staff were excellent. Location was great, about a 10 min walk from the centre.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The interiors and facilities were excellent. Also the customer personal service was first class.
Cons: The quality of the WiFi was not the best. Arriving and entering the hotel if your flight is late is a problem as the reception is only manned at certain times.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff and location clean rooms 6 of us were all really happy
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Its central location (5 minute walk to some beautiful restaurant) and another 10 from a very lively city centre. Great for young people (25/35). Very quiet rooms, very helpful and friendly staff. Stayed there two years ago and will again. Highly recommended.
Cons: Just a small recommendation. Most hotels offer tea/coffee making facilities in the guest rooms. This would be my only recommendation.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was great
Excellent 8.3

Cons: The noise - The lodge was very noisy. Difficult to sleep
Good 6.3
Pros: Well decorated and supplied with notable exceptions. Tapas bar offerings were exceptional.
Cons: No coffee in room. Had to go out in rain to another building for coffee. Outlets in bathroom did not work. Very noisy due to loud music playing late at night. Air conditioning hard to figure out or not working.
Good 6.7
Pros: The owners have really spent a great deal to make this a high class establishment. It has high end accommodation, but only of its type. The location and amenities are very good, although, again, of its type. Having good amenities on-site is a real plus and the grounds etc have been finished to a high standard. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were excellent.
Cons: Basically, this isn't for us. I can't criticise the premises overall, but for us (65yo) this really isn't the accommodation and facilities we would normally go for. We stayed in one of the lodges, basically a high class tent. We would have loved this 30 years ago, so it is not their fault that we really didn't go for it 100% at our ages. There is no air conditioning, the toilet chamber is too small to use adequately if the door is closed and, worst of all for us, the tent is secured with two combination locks fastened at floor level. In the first place this means having to lie on the floor to secure the locks and, at night, means that visibility of the combination is severely restricted. Not a plus point with a bad back! The mosquitoes and horse flies were a serious nuisance. Finally, having a soft porn movie (50 Shades of Grey) on the lawn about 50m away wasn't what I expected at night, although it finished reasonably early. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the jazz band about 80m away, which went on until 1.00am. The restaurants (we used both) are relatively expensive and the portion sizes way too big for us. The food is very good though.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: I liked the lodge, food and facilities
Cons: Disappointed with the location. Very noisy being so close to the University and Stadium- really spotlit our stay. People were wandering around right near our lodge and looking through the windows at us. Felt unsafe as people could walk in and out of the complex and very close to our lodge. Also felt forgotten about and felt the staff on the sat and Friday nights prioritized people in the restaurant and people who were heading to the parties were more important than the lodge guests.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Nice staff, fabulous rooms.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The ducks. The food. The cleanliness. The location. It was ideal. My father had just been released from Bordeaux Hospital and it was the perfect place for him to rest and recuperate for a few days before flying home to the UK.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The staff were very welcoming, the facilities were good, the decor and ambiance was great
Cons: The masseuse was texting whilst I was being massaged! She was very unpunctual and not at all polite and welcoming like the rest of the staff
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: The pool and massage hut was the nicest part but you can not say they have a gym or spa...that is a large stretch. The service was non existent aside from the expensive breakfast delivered at your requested time in morning. Honestly, I can't really complain about the price of breakfast though because it was the only option unless you want a 15-20 minute commute to the closest bakery. The bed linens and tens themselves were really cool and comfortable, although hotel did not provide locks to close them...you'd need to be very comfortable with the person if you are sharing a tent as they are basically using toilet, sink and shower in front of you. Oh, also no sink drain so you essentially have a sink full of water the entire time. Would have been fine if they had told me that ahead of time.
Cons: VERY WEIRD experience here. The place was empty aside from me. Their was no staff aside from one woman until maybe 6pm in a building a 4 minute walk away. The tents themselves were cool and nice but oddly placed in this location/amidst Bordeaux. Trying to make it something it's clearly not. No lobby or main meeting place, the reception desk (if you can even call them that) was in a little store on property. Can't stress enough how odd this place was. All outdoor furniture was covered in coloured bed sheets. The pool and massage hut was the nicest part but you can not say they have a gym or spa...that is a large stretch. The service was non existent aside from the expensive breakfast delivered at your requested time in morning. Honestly, I can't really complain about the price because it was the only option unless you want a 15-20 minute commute to the closest bakery. I ended up leaving 2 days early because it was so weird and awful and they would not refund or give me partial credit for anything.

Pros: Staff very helpful. Good room with excellent TV. Good size bathroom. Close to town centre.
Okay 5.0
Cons: On arrival the manager didn't explain the hotel procedures properly and as a result I ended up paying a huge damage deposit because the partner and I wanted to pay half the bill each on leaving the hotel after our stay. The manager should have explained clearly that if we paid the bill on arrival (half each) everything would be good and no huge ridiculous damage deposit needed!
Okay 4.6
Pros: Bed comfortable and staff very helpful.
Cons: Very dark bedroom. Very bad surroundings in Bordeaux- concrete jungle and down and out looking buildings all round. Hot food at breakfast not good- powdered eggs.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Good hotel Nice location
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The room itself was magnificent and ample, more than the pictures show. Each part of the room was on the higher end. The staff were very welcoming and warm.
Cons: A slight walk from the city center, and an odd distance from the tram line. We had to walk through a wide alley which didn’t feel comfortable, but found taking the longer route around the mall a seemingly safer option.

Pros: Great location and bar downstairs. Loved the tea station too and tourist advice from reception great and friendly.
Cons: That breakfast was said to be until 10.00 but from 9.45 onwards nothing was stocked up and on one day all that was left was a nub of bread. Even when I asked the girls they refused to supply more bread. I also requested soya yoghurt which is apparently what you need to do....but it never transpired. Did have soya milk though. If you get there early .....great breakfast. I
Good 7.5
Pros: Perfect for our intended use
Cons: Not a vacation destination
Mediocre 2.9
Pros: The reception staff. They tried to be helpful but workload and their system (or lack thereof) prevents them from being of help.
Cons: Stinky room - literally smell of urine permeated the room for which I tried calling the front desk but the call goes to voice mail which never gets returned. The next morning asked the cleaning lady to help and tipped her extra to make that smell go away!!
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The breakfast had excellent and plentiful choices. The early morning (2am) easy, no fuss check in was much appreciated after our flight was delayed by 2 hours meaning we missed the last bus to the city from the airport and had to queue for a taxi. The room was clean and simple with a good shower. We liked that we could leave our bags for free and that it was just a short tram ride into the main centre.
Cons: Nothing we didn’t like.
Excellent 9.6
Cons: The shower screen was too small & the water leaked all over the floor
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Friendly staff, very clean, comfortable bed and good location.
Cons: No signal for CNN news
Good 7.5
Pros: Ok place to stay, but I have seen other Ibis Styles with a fancier interior.

Pros: Location. Easy access to city centre. Friendly and helpful receptionists.
Cons: Very small room. Tiny bathroom. Some of the breakfast staff were rude and unhelpful.
Good 7.9
Pros: The staff is really friendly and accommodating. There is a tram stop really close by that takes you into the city center. The bar is also nice and there is a restaurant built-in which serves good dishes.
Cons: Minimal(but functional) amenities in the room. A small fridge or water kettle would have been amazing.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Very tasty food. Ideal public transport to city center (2 minutes walk to nearest line A tram stop).

Good 6.3
Pros: Staff and car park.
Cons: Carpet on floor filthy.needs air conditioned.it was 32 degrees.a fan moved air around.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was clean and had all the facilities you need to enjoy your stay...there was also the option of breakfast in the hotel which was good.
Cons: The bedroom had a desk and a table in..there was no need for the desk. The tv could have been wall mounted giving more room for the bed
Good 6.3
Pros: It was clean, the bed was comfortable and it was central. We only needed it for night so did the job.Breakfast was nice and the room for this bright and airy.
Cons: We arrived after reception closed as we got lost looking for the hotel.Tried ringing the number on the door no answer.Luckily I had had a text from them in french and another guest showed us how to get our room key.I booked it as it had parking €13 per night but again no one there to give you the fob. Forced to park outside and had the last space. It was quite noisy throughout the night in the street below.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was exactly as described, perfect for our requirements.
Cons: Nothing really, towels a bit small.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location and friendly staff. Parking on site.
Good 7.9
Pros: It was a modern apartment clean and comfortable with a nice cold fridge. There were 2 markets 5 minutes walk away and the tram cafes and the start of the old town 10 minutes walk away. There was also a laundry next to the reception which was very handy
Cons: It was hard to find a negative.
Good 7.0
Pros: Good location quite close to the city centre.
Cons: The advertising showed a swimming pool. I never saw one.
Excellent 8.8

Good 7.9
Pros: Location was good on the edge of the city Great value Clean comfortable beds
Cons: Dirty kitchen equipment Somebody’s leftovers in the fridge! Yuk Grubby carpet
Good 7.5
Pros: convenient laundry facilities
Cons: Difficult parking, tight spaces in the rooms
Good 7.0
Pros: Perfect location
Cons: Old stuff, no shampoo in the bathroom
Okay 5.0
Pros: Night porter New clean white towels and bedding
Cons: Bedroom floor grubby. Kitchen old and old yellow units. Toilet turned sideways so knee room 10cm gap. Interesting trying to negotiate. Suggest they look at soil pipe bends
Excellent 8.8
Pros: 30 Min walking distance to the center and close to public transportation. Staff was nice and helpful :)
Okay 4.2
Cons: The room smelled of mould and stale cigarette smoke, I left the windows open to air the property while we were out during the day but it made no difference. The windows have a green tint which makes the room feel like a seedy drug den. Only one towel was provided although we booked for 2 adults and an infant. No cot could be provided for the infant. The shower was mouldy and the water temperature inconsistent. The location is not near the city centre, it’s 30min walk to the city centre.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Great location easy access to the city via the tram
Cons: Breakfast room is small and very crowded in the morning
Mediocre 2.9
Pros: NAUSEOUS ODORS INTO THE TOILETS COME FROM SEWERS AND ARE IN THE ROOM
Good 7.1
Cons: No hair drier Not accurate to describe the hotel as Bordeaux Centre, it’s nowhere near the centre.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The subway in 100 m distance, Parking garage just near the hotel
