Excellent 8.3
Pros: The place is a private house which has 3 rooms. it is walking distance to the tram, you can go to center easily. Stephan was smiling and nice.
Cons: Breakfast is too sweet for those who dont eat sweet at breakfast will have difficulty. it contains butter, jam, bread/croissant. also no slippers provided.
Good 7.9
Pros: Very new bed and breakfast, nice furniture, quiet area, close to the center, very clean
Cons: They have three rooms, two of which are very nice. We unfortunately had the third room in the basement without a real window. I think this should be clearly indicated in the booking process.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Just back from a couple of days in Bordeaux The L'Echoppe des Bouilles is a truly lovely B&B to stay.Host Aurore went that extra mile to make our stay a memorable one. The room was spacious,( we had the sky room, it was lovely to see the stars at night ) The king size bed was really comfy. The breakfast was excellent with homemade yogurts / jams and cakes, and sets you up for the day. The centre of Bordeaux was about a 15 minute stroll away or if you preferred to take the tram,it is a couple of minutes walk away from the B&B to the tram stop. If you plan to go to Bordeaux i would highly recommend the L'Echoppe des Bouilles
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Aurore is an excellent host. She made us fabulous breakfasts and gave us good tips on what to see and where to eat.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: A beautifully renovated property, exceptionally clean with all the facilities we needed.Well positioned for tram and bus services or a 15 minute walk to Bordeaux centre. Aurore is very friendly and informative. We would highly recommend and will definitely return.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Stephan was an excellent host. He offered very helpful information and recommendations allowing us to get the most from our visit to Bordeaux. He provided delicious home cooked breakfasts including homemade cakes and jams. Very comfortable bed, air conditioning was great, the house was immaculately clean and tidy, close to the tram and also walking distance to the city centre. Would highly recommend staying at this lovely bed and breakfast.
Cons: Everything was great!
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Located in a quiet residential neighbourhood, 5-minute walk to public transportation/tram. Comfortable and nicely decorated rooms. A small patio/garden area is also enjoyable for the included breakfast or relaxing when the weather is nice. The owners are wonderful and live nearby - we had to leave extra early on our final morning and they had breakfast already set out for us. If you will have a car, you should ask for off-street parking when you reserve your room (it is limited).
Cons: Nearby parking is expensive. Free parking is about 5 minutes away and harder to come by. The owners do have limited off-street parking that may be available and should be reserved ahead. Also, as most everyone takes the tram or has a car, there are few corner markets or restaurants in the area and may not be open on weekends.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very friendly staff, breakfast was tasty.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very good hotel with good rooms and very good staff. Optional non expensive parking. Very good restaurants nearby.
Cons: 10 minutes walk to the center of the city and 25 minutes to some specific locations in the center. The breakfast is very decent.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: People and decor
Cons: Only sky lights in room, no windows
Good 7.0
Pros: Very tasteful decor, lovely breakfast, extremely welcoming, helpful and efficient owner. Being close to the town centre and all transport links
Cons: Each of the 2 rooms had others on the floor above. The level of sound transmission from the upper floors was very evident and liable to cause disturbance to sleep
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely rooms and comfy beds in a quiet area minutes from the city centre. Absolutely perfect!
Good 7.0
Pros: It was located on a quiet street, not too far from the city centre. The room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: I booked this hotel partly because of the great reviews by other guests about the helpfulness of the staff. There was no one at reception on our arrival, despite us arriving during their limited reception hours. Perhaps others won't mind, but I had expected there to be someone around to greet us on arrival and perhaps to answer a few questions about the area. I get more service staying at an AirBnB than this!

Cons: The noise - The lodge was very noisy. Difficult to sleep
Good 6.3
Pros: Well decorated and supplied with notable exceptions. Tapas bar offerings were exceptional.
Cons: No coffee in room. Had to go out in rain to another building for coffee. Outlets in bathroom did not work. Very noisy due to loud music playing late at night. Air conditioning hard to figure out or not working.
Good 6.7
Pros: The owners have really spent a great deal to make this a high class establishment. It has high end accommodation, but only of its type. The location and amenities are very good, although, again, of its type. Having good amenities on-site is a real plus and the grounds etc have been finished to a high standard. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were excellent.
Cons: Basically, this isn't for us. I can't criticise the premises overall, but for us (65yo) this really isn't the accommodation and facilities we would normally go for. We stayed in one of the lodges, basically a high class tent. We would have loved this 30 years ago, so it is not their fault that we really didn't go for it 100% at our ages. There is no air conditioning, the toilet chamber is too small to use adequately if the door is closed and, worst of all for us, the tent is secured with two combination locks fastened at floor level. In the first place this means having to lie on the floor to secure the locks and, at night, means that visibility of the combination is severely restricted. Not a plus point with a bad back! The mosquitoes and horse flies were a serious nuisance. Finally, having a soft porn movie (50 Shades of Grey) on the lawn about 50m away wasn't what I expected at night, although it finished reasonably early. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the jazz band about 80m away, which went on until 1.00am. The restaurants (we used both) are relatively expensive and the portion sizes way too big for us. The food is very good though.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: I liked the lodge, food and facilities
Cons: Disappointed with the location. Very noisy being so close to the University and Stadium- really spotlit our stay. People were wandering around right near our lodge and looking through the windows at us. Felt unsafe as people could walk in and out of the complex and very close to our lodge. Also felt forgotten about and felt the staff on the sat and Friday nights prioritized people in the restaurant and people who were heading to the parties were more important than the lodge guests.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Nice staff, fabulous rooms.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The ducks. The food. The cleanliness. The location. It was ideal. My father had just been released from Bordeaux Hospital and it was the perfect place for him to rest and recuperate for a few days before flying home to the UK.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The staff were very welcoming, the facilities were good, the decor and ambiance was great
Cons: The masseuse was texting whilst I was being massaged! She was very unpunctual and not at all polite and welcoming like the rest of the staff
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: The pool and massage hut was the nicest part but you can not say they have a gym or spa...that is a large stretch. The service was non existent aside from the expensive breakfast delivered at your requested time in morning. Honestly, I can't really complain about the price of breakfast though because it was the only option unless you want a 15-20 minute commute to the closest bakery. The bed linens and tens themselves were really cool and comfortable, although hotel did not provide locks to close them...you'd need to be very comfortable with the person if you are sharing a tent as they are basically using toilet, sink and shower in front of you. Oh, also no sink drain so you essentially have a sink full of water the entire time. Would have been fine if they had told me that ahead of time.
Cons: VERY WEIRD experience here. The place was empty aside from me. Their was no staff aside from one woman until maybe 6pm in a building a 4 minute walk away. The tents themselves were cool and nice but oddly placed in this location/amidst Bordeaux. Trying to make it something it's clearly not. No lobby or main meeting place, the reception desk (if you can even call them that) was in a little store on property. Can't stress enough how odd this place was. All outdoor furniture was covered in coloured bed sheets. The pool and massage hut was the nicest part but you can not say they have a gym or spa...that is a large stretch. The service was non existent aside from the expensive breakfast delivered at your requested time in morning. Honestly, I can't really complain about the price because it was the only option unless you want a 15-20 minute commute to the closest bakery. I ended up leaving 2 days early because it was so weird and awful and they would not refund or give me partial credit for anything.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: The vibe was very good, plenty of guests, a nice place to enjoy a drink and chat.
Cons: The food served in the evenings, in the lobby bar and bistro, was poor to middling. We preferred to dine at a lovely restaurant around the corner.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Well located, nice nespresso machine in the room
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Clean, comfortable with very helpful staff. Very close to city centre, flat walk
Cons: Food menu was basic, however what was available was good. Doors to room didn't seem very secure with a lot of gaps for light and noise from the corridor
Good 7.0
Pros: The position of the hotel was good. The quality of the tea was good.
Cons: The instant coffee was dreadful. Even though central, the hotel was not value for money. We didn’t have breakfast, not worth the price I wouldn’t want to stay in such a small room for longer than 2 nights.
Good 6.0
Pros: The room was lovely.
Cons: The room temperature could not be controlled (thermostat didn't seem to work, it stated 15 degrees Celsius but the room was far hotter than this). This meant I didn't sleep well for all three nights.

Good 7.5
Pros: Conveniently located modern hotel with fairly large and comfortable rooms. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Exceptional breakfast, surpassing any expectations, the food is varied and everything is very tasty.
Cons: Nothing
Good 7.5
Pros: Next to tram station
Cons: They were renovating, only one lift working and really unpleaseant with a norrow lobby ( because half of it was actually a construction site).
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Good location
Cons: Being refurbished. Room too hot and air conditioning not switched on
Excellent 10.0
Cons: I'd say nothing, but the fact that no one could answer me in proper English, where I can find prepaid sim.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Location - great. Staff - very kind to all requests. Very easy to get to airport bus (just round the corner). The kitchen had all utensils necessary including decent sized fridge, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, microwave and stove.Bed - comfortable, and balcony with a couple of chairs. Didn't use swimming pool, bar, fitness or sauna as I didn't have time but it was available most of the day.
Cons: Lighting could be better. there were all kinds of lights but for some reason, it wasn't enough - especially when dark.
Okay 4.0
Pros: Room was ok
Cons: Hotel was under construction and nothing was noticed when we booked the rooms. No bar and no leisure zone because of the constructions - cold in the reception area.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Excellent location, room and staff.
Cons: Building work taking place. Unavoidable but affected cafe/restaurant. Poor quality hairdryer in bathroom.

Okay 5.0
Pros: Bathroom
Cons: Very noisy. Beds didnt stand firmly. Bed on wheels
Mediocre 2.5
Cons: I was given the keys to a room already occupied, which terrified me and a lot more the person in the room. In the second room I was given, the bed had used sheets and the hotel staff said they had no time to change it. The receptionist gave me new bed sheets but it was up to me to change the sheets of the bed. I wrote a complain and tried to find the manager to talk about my case. I never got a reply to my email, the manager was not there the whole weekend and my view is that this place is a total failure in costumer service. If you stay there, I hope you face no problems for there is nobody to assist. Most terrible hotel I have stayed.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Staff very friendly
Cons: Rooms very tired and in need of a face lift catpet need changed
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location, facilities, cleanliness and breakfast choice also I felt very at ease and comfortable as a female traveller.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Nice hotel
Cons: It could be better for arrange room
Excellent 10.0

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The room is very large, the heating works very well and the kitchen is well equipped. Reception tea is very good.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: our stay was short, we stayed only for two nights but everything was really comfortable and as I expected, the room and the bathroom were well organized and clean .The position in the city is excellent, we walked a lot to visit the entire city but everything was well connected and close to the room.
Cons: the only thing that was not perfect were the dishes that were not really cleaned so we had to wash the things again before using but was not a big deal.
Good 7.0
Pros: Good price for quality: both the room and the bed are just big enough for two but for a short stay it's just what you need. Small, very clean kitchen with a stove, microwave and coffee maker and a clean shower and toilet, so nothing to complain here. Huge plus for the friendly receptionists and their good English skills (and the free croissants at reception). Safe, central location — walking distance from all major sights, bus stop to the airport right around the corner and a small supermarket within a short walk.
Cons: The kitchen equipment is very basic, no kettle, no big bowls, no lids for the pots and no really sharp knives. The shower had a funky smell like the pipes need to be cleaned thoroughly and minor stains on the carpet and the walls. You barely hear any noise from outside but depending on what people in the corridor and the room above are up to, you will definitely know if you listen closely.
Good 7.0
Pros: Hospitality.
Cons: Internet via wifi was very bad.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Ideal location, excellent staff. Fab all round
Cons: Everything was perfect
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Location very good for tramstop, nearby boulangerie and mini-market. Kitchen very well-equipped. Good breakfast. Friendly helpful staff.

Good 7.9
Cons: The AC was not working, and the room was extremely hot, but the hotel made it right after all.
Okay 5.0
Pros: I liked the breakfast, small kitchen in the suite and pizza. View on Bordeaux, from 8th floor balcony was very interesting.
Cons: Our room was not well isolated from noise from next room and outside. There was a party in room next to ours and I had to ring on their door to ask them to calm down. We did not sleep much between midnight to 5 AM. Also there was some draft from the door to the balcony which made our room full of smell of cigarettes from room next to hours.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Great location for access to airport and the centre of Bordeaux. Excellent value for money. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Good 6.0
Cons: The apartment was dirty and I informed to the reception but they didn't do nothing. The bathroom had mold.
Good 7.0
Pros: Room size and cleanliness
Cons: Room view to the cementery.
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Bed quite comfortable.
Cons: Old, not curated, bad personnel, poor service.
