Pros: I asked for a quiet room and got one well away from the elevator at the end of a corridor. A bit of a hike to reception but perfect for us for our 3 night stay. Breakfast served until 10.30am which suited our late evenings out in the city and late dinners. the food being varied and plentiful with chef cooking station for omelettes etc Spar facilities looked good but we only used the pool and steam rooms and the jacuzzi one floor up on the roof. There relaxing beds for a snooze afterwards and a tea room all within the complex

Cons: Whilst the roof terrace was a romantic and lovely place to spend a few of the late hours viewing the city from 6 floors up the drinks cost are exorbitant (3 soft drinks, 1 coffee, 1 Calvados & 1 cocktail was £75.00)

Also the booking webpage says booking a spot in the parking is not possible/necessary but in reality you need to do that in advance. I finally parked outside.

Cons: There's nothing we don't like however, for the benefit of those thinking of booking the hotel, please bear in mind that it is a little out of the way of the main drag/old town. That said, we bought a one day tram pass and commuting was not a problem. It is a short walk to La cite du vin, and being a bit further away, it is quiet thus giving us a good night sleep.

The airport bus comes/goes from just around the corner and there is a great supermarket in the centre across the street for all your self-catering needs. Breakfast is also available on site if required, but we didn't avail of this ourselves. Some lovely restaurants and wine bars within 3 mins walk. Lovely, spacious and comfortable apartment with all kitchen equipment you could need. Reception staff were all very friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend the Adagio!

The airport bus comes/goes from just around the corner and there is a great supermarket in the centre across the street for all your self-catering needs. Breakfast is also available on site if required, but we didn't avail of this ourselves. Some lovely restaurants and wine bars within 3 mins walk. Lovely, spacious and comfortable apartment with all kitchen equipment you could need. Reception staff were all very friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend the Adagio!

Cons: Bathroom screen lets the water through and the floor gets a bit wet which means you have to use the carpet to dry it and you end up with a wet carpet under your feet. Cons: 3 complaints : I was feeling very unwell on the first day of my stay. I rang reception and asked for someone to bring me a glass or bottle of water as I felt I couldn’t leave the room. The receptionist said « no, because she was on her own covering reception and there was no one else that could do it. » I also asked for an iron and ironing board 3 times during my stay, but they appeared to have lost it. I never got one. One day when there was torrential rain outside I asked if they had an spare unbrella for guests but they did not.

We had a ridiculous situation: asked for an iron on the first day, were told that THE iron is in someone’s room, but they don’t know in which, because they didn’t write it down. The situation repeated on day 2 and then on day 3. They really tried each time to use as an excuse the fact that they have only one iron and that they didn’t write down to whom the gave it because “it happened fast”/“un peu vite”. Apparently the staff really believed that these are valid excuses for a hotel. It was pretty important and very inconvenient for us since we brought clothes that had to be ironed.

There isn’t a do not disturber sign for the rooms and there isn’t a system to know who has checked out of what room at a time because you just put your swipe card in a bug jug with everyone else when you leave! As the result my partner was asleep on in the bed and I was in the shower, the cleaning lady came in to our room at 9,40 but check out is at 12,00 we had to ask her politely to not clean it then. We arrived in Bordeaux on a transatlantic flight early morning. We asked if we could leave our luggage at the hotel or in the room. Desk staff was extremely helpful and allowed us to have our room from 9.30am or so without any charge. Plenty of restaurants within a few minutes walk.

(a bit too early when on holiday....) and fruit juice is never enough when tourists with kids are many like in August...

Cons: Overall a nice stay at this ibis in Bordeaux, however we asked to be moved to a different room on the second day as the first one was too hot to sleep (around 26 degrees C). The staff told us that the air conditioning is set by the hotel and is currently on “warm” only (I guess given the season). However the second room was much more pleasant in terms of temperature.

Cons: Firstly I had to move rooms as my room smelt like sewerage it was disgusting! The cleaner must have noticed it as the bathroom drain was pulled apart and left like that. Once I was given a new room I couldn’t even have a shower as the hot water was out in the entire hotel... so I had a full day of sight seeing with no shower. As compensation I was only offered a free breakfast but I should’ve had much more than that.

Cons: Not enough light in the hallways . I have to use my phone light to open my room door .Also the lift was broken which it wasn't a big problem for me because I was on the second floor.

Cons: Allocated room had been vandalised with scratchings on headboard, dirty marks on walls. Upstairs communal areas were filthy dirty - no wonder there is no lighting in the corridors! We cut our stay short and went home a day early. Definitely will not be returning.
