Nice lication. Dicent room. Nice lady at the place.
Very dark street
Very good location close to Jardin Public, the tram line and the river.
No table or chair in the room. Badly designed (or leaking) shower cabin, a lot of water on the floor after each shower. No curtains on the window, blinds only. Blinds can not be fixed to the wall, so they flap around even in light wind making a lot of noise. The only alternative is to keep them shut all the time. One windy evening the receptionist rushes into the room without the permission unlocking the door with her master key, only to tell blinds have to be shut. Never seen such a behavior from the staff before.
Price. Pretty good WiFi!
Spiral staircase is ancient and presents a challenge to anyone who arrives with luggage! Room was so tight I had perhaps 4’ of walking space between bed and bathroom. Hard to get in and out of this neighborhood. View of a wall and closed shutters. Only acceptable for one overnight.
The place is old, dirty and expensive!
I was there for 4 nights because I was doing the wine tours of the Bordeaux region ( Medoc ans saint Emillion) I specifically chose this hotel because it was an 8 min walk from the pick up. It was convenient and easy to get access to any kind of transportation. The owner didn’t speak much english. I speak fluently French since I am half french but it would’ve been challenging if I didn’t. Can’t go wrong with $45 to $60 a night and a $6 breakfast with home made coffee
No 24H doorman or assistances at night. Sucks a little bit
