Adelaide hotels near University of Adelaide

Pros: The buffet breakfasts were quick and easy, with plenty of choices. The hotel location, just a few meters from corner of Rundle Street, was excellent.

Cons: There could have been a support handle in the shower. Also the main room was large, but only one desk chair and one easy chair. An extra easy chair would have been nice, and there was plenty of room for it. Otherwise the room and facilities were excellent.

Pros: Good sized room and comfy facilities

Cons: The bathroom had a mildly unpleasant odour upon arrival. A septic smell?? Staff were alerted and did respond to freshen the room.

Cons: The only bar in the hotel was closed to guests for one night for a staff function. No problem with this but prior notification would have been good as we had arranged to meet there. Desk staff tried to say it was “open but not available due to a function”. To me, this means it is closed.

Pros: Dining in the restaurant was exceptional. The staff were incredible helpful throught the entire hotel.

Pros: The service is A1! Absolutely high end and attentive. However also personable which is enlightening. Valet great. Bathrooms a woman’s dream bathroom. Upgraded! Yeah baby.

Cons: Housekeeper forgot to leave towels. Couldn’t book in for buffet breakfast as it was booked out though they delivered an amazing breakfast in room which made up for it. Espresso martinis very expensive! Haha

Pros: That the whole process was seamless, no issues, room service delicious, pool and spa beautiful

Cons: walking past the bars along North Terrace at night.

Pros: Loft bedroom, quality fittings and furniture. Staff were great over the phone and on site We were able to drop bags off a day earlier and find them in our room when we checked in next day

Cons: The overhead shower dripped when using the hand held so your hair got wet, no toothpaste or brushes.

Pros: I liked that there was a kitchen facility, that you could sit in there and eat or use the cooking facilities. Also that the was also a drink/snack machine should you forget to buy water etc. The rooms were large and not small and pokey It was quiet and very clean and tidy

Cons: I didn't like that there was no fan in the bathroom for the toilet to take away the smell It was a bit of a walk from Rundall Mall and the Central Market as we did not have a car

Pros: The beds were comfortable with good pillows. The location is very good. The reception on the Saturday and Sunday was excellent. The hotel, after a rocky start, were able to accommodate my request to move me for my second night. I was able to moved into the new room at a good time for what I needed and reception was apologetic for the inconvenience.

Cons: Reception on the Friday night was not great. I contacted the hotel directly about this and received a good response a couple of days later by email. But I had to go down to reception twice before my matter was addressed adequately. Firstly, after a long day of travel, my booking wasn't found. Although I had a booking.com reference number and email confirmation, I was asked if I had booked the right day (slightly insulting) and whether I had checked in earlier in the day (even more insulting). After finally finding my room booking, I was placed in a room that was tidy and nice enough - however, it was right next to the lift shaft that was incredibly loud. I went downstairs to ask to be moved but reception indicated the hotel was booked out so I couldn't be moved. That, although frustrating for that night's sleep, would have been acceptable if there was an apology for any of the above. I then asked if I could be moved the next day but was informed that unfortunately the hotel was booked out that night also. I went upstairs and looked on booking.com to immediately see that there were 2 exact rooms available for the next night. When I showed this to reception, he indicated that he had just been on the phone to someone who had cancelled for the next night (through booking.com). Reception was then extremely happy to change the room for me for the next day, and I was told I should request a quiet room the next time. The reception on Saturday was good to squeeze me into the room so promptly the next morning. So obviously the cleaners didn't have long to prepare the room. There was some obvious green shaving crème and a few long hairs on the walls, but apart from that, the room was clean and tidy. It was also very comfortable.

Pros: Centrally located, Ibis Adelaide is a fantastic place to stay. The staff are friendly & efficient. We ate in their lounge area & the food was outstanding. This was our first time staying here, we will definitely stay again.

Pros: Excellent stay, breakfast was lovely. The location is perfect. Was really quiet and the staff extremely helpful and polite.

Pros: Good modern facilities. Comfortable rooms. Great water pressure. Great location with the little park. Great valets, top marks to this gentleman.

Cons: Wait staff sat me down and never came back to take my order. When I went and spoke to them they couldn’t of cared less. Requested a quiet room when booking as I’m a lite sleeper and was placed in the room closest to the rd. Which was disappointing so couldn’t get to sleep both nights till after midnight. Due to that fact I’ll go back to booking a Glenelg hotel where there is no rd noise

Pros: Breakfast was good with ok location. Staff were excellent at all times

Cons: WiFi was pathetic. It was so slow I actually wrecked my iPhone trying to download an update. Had to go to Apple who luckily gave me a new one. The manager tried to help but as I understand it the wifi is outsourced. For a hotel of your standard this is not good enough. Comfortable stay. Amenities like quality of towels, lack Of uniformity of what gets done in room prep each day not. 5 star experience

Cons: Free shuttle bus did not appear so had to get taxi, but the guys in hotel called the number several times but never got a response

Pros: The staff were lovely! They gave a special dessert for our anniversary which was a very nice touch. Enjoyed our stay, check in and check out were very easy

Cons: The room next door was extermely noisy. Staff at desk next day were less than simpathetic. Paid top dollar for mother to have a good nights sleep after attending her husbands funeral during the day and she got no sleep. Despite having an ACCOR silver membership there was no effort to provide any benefit. Live next door and having mother stay at the hotel is very convenient but will probably look at alternative accommodation next time she stays in Adelaide. Also would expect a hotel of this quality to have water in rooms.

Pros: Great buffet for breakfast. Outstanding staff friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Good gym and recreational area. Good location

Cons: Bed to soft. Heating system set to high even when adjusted to lower temp in room took an age to cool. No decent size cups for beverages at breakfast
