Despite being within the CBD, the neighbourhood is residential, with leafy streets, away from the typical hustle and bustle of the CBD. Staff are very courteous and helpful. The room I stayed in was spacious, well lit, well furnished, and the hotel provided free toiletries daily. There is a free-to-use (shared) kitchen on the property, with facilities to cook meals. Any of the guests can visit to cook, or heat meals, or simply to gather as a a group to eat together. The hotel has an in-house laundry room with facilities for washing and drying (on payment).

Cons: When we arrived we had no help with bags. Our room was dusty not vacuumed and stuffy . We asked to change rooms which they did. The location of this room was noisy . I have found i stayed here before and in a twin instead of queen and the twin was much nicer and less noise. There was not enough staff all round at the bar or front desk .The location is close to mall and train however its in the mist of the night life which was a bit out of control when we were there and i wont stay here again.

The carparking on the internet was specified as $12 per day yet we were charged $18 but there was no advice on the internet of the difference in charging for valet parking. No attempt was made by the staff to rectif that situation so for the difference of $6 and the non-help in this situation we will not consider staying here again nor recommend this to friends and work colleagues.

My next hotel didn't have that and only offered water for purchase in plastic bottles. I've been longing back to the Pullman hotel since I left.

Cons: I was surprised by the somewhat limited breakfast (not so many fresh breads to choose from, no porridge, very limited asian alternatives, few yoghurts to choose from, too few fruits) - but what I did eat was very always very good. I ate Eggs Benedict one day, it could have been presented in a nicer way and it took a long time to get the order even though there were not many guests at the time. The bar could also have a few more cocktail alternatives. What I ordered was very good though (a chocolate margarita). I went to a different hotel after three days/nights (the Stamford Plaza) and the first thing I did after checking in there, was to see if I could move back to the Pullman - unfortunately for me, it was full so I couldn't go back!

Cons: This is a party hotel where people come to spend a night in the city. Rooms very noisy, plain and lacking in style or ambiance. 1st room had a dividing door and we could hear every word that was spoken. We moved rooms. 10.30 at night a party started in the room next door of that room. We called down to reception. The hotel staff knocked on the door many times before they were noticed by the party going on inside! We cannot express how disappointed we were. We will never stay in another Hilton as standard is not guaranteed.

Cons: Bed was uncomfortable. Giving way at the edges and not firm. Breakfast was great but the same food on all three days. Children were not impressed, not many activity options for kids in the hotel. Pool was not warm enough.

Cons: I had booked and paid for a King Room, but was given a room with a queen bed. As this was the start of a holiday to celebrate a milestone birthday, I was somewhat disappointed. My two friends and their husbands travelling with me, all paid the same amount as I did. On arrival they were upgraded to a deluxe King room. When I brought it to their attention that I had paid for a King room I was told that they only had smoking rooms left and she didn't feel that would suit me. It wouldn't but I was not asked either. I was fobbed off with a bottle of champagne which I don't drink. I was extremely upset that some staff upgraded my friends and I coped the cheap room. Never will I stay at the Hilton again. I did not need this to start our holiday.

Cons: There is a kitchenette with no cooking facilities. I made an assumption and bought food to cook but of course that's my fault for not checking first. The hallways are musty smelling and the carpet in the foyer needs to be replaced. Right next to a school and child care centre so very loud during the day. Very expensive.

Pros:
Cons: Very old hotel. Views to brick wall outside. Air conditioning was from the 1950's. One big cupboard mounted knob. Low, Med,High. No heating. Staff were very good.

Pros: The bed was comfortable and a good selection of the usual things at a buffet breakfast. Staff were friendly.
Cons: It feels old and dark. Our twin queen room had a small window facing a bird poo stained wall which provided little natural lighting, and the actual lights in the room were very dull so it felt dark and dingy. The room has a very noisy constant hum from the aircon, and the laundry room was right next to our wall so that was loud too. This was disappointing as I believe the price is a bit too high compared to some newer places that are quiet and well located with other facilities such as a pool, spa and sauna, and is misleading as our expectations were somewhat higher (and not unreasonable) compared to the room we received.

Cons: The hostel it’s so old, unfriendly staff (they couldn’t even give us information about Adelaide because they didn’t know..) and the room was terrible, the ceiling was old, thatched and ugly, the car parking is bad, we booked the hostel with the parking space someone took our spot, so we needed to park the car on the street.
