Pros: Almost everything about this hotel was perfect, great location, very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable and clean room. The underground public parking garage was conveniently located less than five minutes away and the hotel offered a discount. The hotel was a short walk to all of the major sites in Zaragoza. We would be happy to stay there again. Highly recommended!

Pros: Everything was great. My bed was very comfortable. I needed to take a midday nap and the roof window- I had an attic room- had a shade on it. It allowed me to make the room dark so I could sleep.

Pros: The staff were excellent, on arrival one of the staff (Isabella?), saw us coming up the street and came out and helped my wife with her case, Very good service!! The next day our room aircon was faulty (a smell?), went to the front desk and they immediately moved us to another room, also they sent someone to assist us in the move. She arrived within minutes, another very good service deed. From our perspective, one of the hotel staff service have seen for awhile, excellent !!!

Pros: We were delighted with the room we were allocated as it looked directly onto the basilica - an absolutely priceless view! The room was very tastefully decorated and the beds were extremely comfortable. Checking in and out was very easy and the staff on the main desk were polite, charming and very helpful; offering suggestions about the best places to visit and where to find the best tapas in Zaragoza. The mini bar was great and we especially liked the fact that a half bottle of wine was available to purchase. The best thing of all about this hotel though was its location. It looks onto the river and is right next to one of the bridges that cross the Ebro. We could walk to bars, restaurants and most of the sights and there was a tram stop just a few steps away from the hotel entrance.

Nevertheless, they made up for all that with the room and breakfast in the morning as well as directing me to a few places around the hotel that would cater for my nocturnal habits. The Black Horse but no cherry tree, worth a visit for a thirsty man. The Hotel is so close to the Cathedral you could fall out of bed and be there. Wonderful in every way.

Cons: The only fly in the ointment here was the parking. Accessing the underground car park is tricky and once you're inside, spaces are narrow and short making for quite a stressful experience if you're trying to park a car that is even slightly larger than average.

Cons: It’s an old hotel renovated, despite the renovation the AC makes a lot of noise and unluckily on our night it was very windy and we couldn’t open the windows as the noise of the wind was big. Although there is more than one elevator it’s small and if one is not functioning for those that want to take the stairs it’s uncomfortable. Despite having a most wonderful shower head it’s still in a bath tub and glass window is not big enough so water on the floor.

Pros: We hated everything about this hotel. The first room we were in smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke that we had to move down the hall. The second room was next to the street, so although we were on the fourth floor we were kept awake by loud passing cars all night. The hotel gives you two tiny containers of gel for two people, and that's supposed to be your shampoo and body wash in the shower and hand soap in the sink. Way too little soap. The room was filthy dirty. The breakfast buffet was lacking - ice cold eggs, uncooked meats. We ended up eating cereal and toast from the buffet after paying 18 Euros. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

One of the main reasons we choose this hotel to break our journey to Spain was because of the swimming pool, thought it would be nice to relax for a few hours. In 35 degree temperature there was very little shade, and very few loungers. Pool was absolutely freezing.

Cons: The hotel parking lot is very small. All full when we got there. Parking around the hotel is mission impossible. No where to park in front of the hotel to drop off luggage except for a handicapped space with scooter parked on the front end. Restroom is a modular unit in the room with a step up. Make sure you remember that in you wake up in the middle of the night to use the restroom.

Cons: If you are English and enjoy a cup of tea, the rooms don’t have kettles so I would suggest bringing your own tea bags and asking the bar for hot water and milk. The TV needs to have more English channels. Also our safe didn’t work which was worrying leaving valuable belongings in our room. However some evenings the atmosphere in the area wasn’t great, there were some very drunk men standing around the front of the hotel which were quite intimidating. Also parking was really expensive at around £15 a night which adds up if you are staying for a while.

Pros: I liked the fact that although the room was pretty standard, it had a wardrobe, a desk and chair, a mini fridge and a large mirror. Still there was space to move around. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets clean. The bedroom curtains left no gaps in between so there was no light coming through when the curtains were closed. Perfect! Since I like a dark room for sleeping. The only suggestion I would make to improve it would be to have the duvets in covers. It got coldish overnight and although a duvet was available in the wardrobe, it had no cover on. So, I did not use it. The bathroom was spotless. The bath and even the tiles were very clean. No grime in them which was very surprising. I can’t recall being in a hotel where the bathroom tiles were properly clean. The shower jet was very powerful and the hot water very hot but adjustable to a very comfortable hot temperature. Did not have breakfast at the 5he hotel, so can't comment on that.

Cons: The walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbours from the other rooms. So if you’re “lucky” enough to have a someone who is snoring in the room next to you, make sure you have some earplugs nearby :)

The sun terrace on the roof was worth a visit watched the sunset from there. overall it was excellent. it was like stepping back into a bygone era, we were fascinated by the eclectic pictures and ornaments.

Cons: The a/c did not function. It was centrally regulated at a temperature that was far too high so that we had 25-28 degrees in the room and it was impossible to make it cooler. All we got was circulated warm air. We complained twice to the personal but they said they could not do anything about it and that an external company was responsible ???!!! We were treated rather like children and demonstrations were made on how to increase the air flow which of course did not help as we experienced every day already. In this hotel the customer does not seem important. That together with our sleepless nights means we would not recommend this hotel or stay there again ourselves. Other negative things: the bedside lights could not be individually regulated, i.e. either all on or all off! There was no socket for the electric kettle and due to the length of the cable we could only use the socket in the bathroom! The shower wall did not reach the floor and was only on one side so when showering the bathroom was flooded. When sitting on the toilet you had to be careful that you did not knock yourself out on the washbasin!

Cons: Was told by the hotel I could leave my bike at the garage door while checking in, which I did. When I got back to the bike got into an argument with 3 locals who were waiting to get into the garage. I apologised and explained the hotel said it was ok... still got called a few names. Garage doesn't have direct access to the hotel, you go in and out throgh a building facing the hotel. Room AC didn't work, was extremely hot mid way through the night. Opening the window for some fresh air also lets in the noises from all other rooms... the snorers, the sneezers, the coughers, the love makers, etc. Slept really badly. Old bed with basic covers. Tiny tiny room. There was construction work outside the hotel which made getting in and out of the hotel and navigating the street a 1 person at a time process.
