Valparaíso hotels near Open Air Museum of Valparaiso

Pros: Really nice hostel! Especially the rooftop gives you an amazing view over Valparaiso. The staff is very helpfull.

Pros: Breakfast is unreal, so fresh so unique. The seaview is fantastic and the owners and staff get really good care of you. Place is super clean and I had such a good sleep. Can't wait to get back I'll miss this place and all of you so much. Thank you guys for giving me a lift the other day you guys always go the extra mile with everything xx

Pros: Juanita and Annamaria did so many extras for us—she got us a plug in heater, eggs for breakfast, taxis, let us use her microwave/toaster/dishes for evening meals. We liked the comfortable bed, lots of space for we had the family room, hot hot showers, HBO channel in English, mini market and liquor store nearby, easy to walk downtown or take bus.

Cons: It was cold for the buildings don’t have heat. Juanita helped us with the electric heater. No restaurants in the area so had to go downtown for food or big grocery stores.

Cons: Very unprofessional conduct by hospitality staff who held a loud staff meeting at the next table to us while we were having lunch. We didn’t appreciate staff helping themselves to breakfast and then standing behind the bar to eat it and play with their phones while dirty dishes piled up on our table. Lack of signage to promote safe and heathy access to food. Not very nice to see a man pickup break smell it and put it back on the plate or a boy handle the food on the plate. Appear over staffed at breakfast with only1-2 people working and the main lady leaning near the window playing with her phone and chatting. Menu not what it seems - things listed but not available.. their reputation must be known as when we arrived in the restaurant for dinner at 7:00pm we were the only guests and their was only one other couple when we finished a very ordinary meal. Hotel could be best described as the Chilean equivalent to’Faulty Toweres’!

Pros: The staff was above and beyond, welcoming and helpful. breakfast was great with a wide selection of foods, beds were comfortable and bathrooms were nice.

Cons: The location is dirty and far from anything. Not a pretty area. The pool, gym and sauna were small and looked not clean. No adapters to lend out to guests.

Pros: Very good hotel with secure underground garage. The room was big and very clean. The wifi was at very good speed. There is a nice restaurant on the premises which is good if you don't want to go out.

Cons: The hotel is located close to the port and usually this is not the best part of a city. Nevertheless, I never felt threatened and if you don't want to stay at the hills this area is a good option since there are many shops and restaurants around.

Pros: Staff at front desk were friendly enough and spoke a little English; elevators were functioning and clean, room was minimalist but clean and comfortable and quiet; bathroom was clean with nice showerhead; front desk called a private taxi for us when we checked out. A young man on the staff went out of his way to let us know how long we could expect to wait for the cab and to let us know when it arrived for us.

Cons: We missed the full breakfast, so when we went to the self-serve breakfast afterward, the options were limited to basically bread, coffee, and tea. That would have been fine, except staff did not seem interested in making breakfast easy or comfortable for us. The area was messy from the full breakfast earlier that morning, and we had to ask where to sit and how to get our food, because the staff in the cafe area were not especially attentive or helpful to us obvious foreigners.

Pros: Very good location and very safe . I liked the Unimarc Supermarket next door and the harbor . very good breakfast like always in 'IBIS Hotels

Cons: When we stayed in the hotel they remodeled the place and didn't inform us at all , so the noise started at 6 am in the morning and ended at 10 pm!!! Not acceptable at all . There was also a group of young students in the place celebrating all night long. Hotel staff didn't really take our complaints serious.

Cons: Unfortunately, the noise at night did not let us sleep. Noise coming from a discoteque until 4am. Second, room got too hot and air conditioning was not working correctly.

Pros: Ibis is located right on the docks and above the metro station. We loved the colors of the barges and the city outside our window. The location was so central to museums, the historic neighborhoods and important monuments.

Cons: Breakfast was pretty weak and the pillows were a bit clumpy.
