8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable
Cons: I booked a double room and I was given a twin room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good atmosphere. Nice postcard from Valparaiso.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Juanita and Annamaria did so many extras for us—she got us a plug in heater, eggs for breakfast, taxis, let us use her microwave/toaster/dishes for evening meals. We liked the comfortable bed, lots of space for we had the family room, hot hot showers, HBO channel in English, mini market and liquor store nearby, easy to walk downtown or take bus.
Cons: It was cold for the buildings don’t have heat. Juanita helped us with the electric heater. No restaurants in the area so had to go downtown for food or big grocery stores.

Pros: Beautiful views from the patio, interesting architecture, very kind and helpful clerks.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful when planning visits, catching buses or booking taxis. Room was comfortable and quiet and breakfast was good.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, beautiful building, and (in my opinion) the perfect location: a short walk to the main bar/restaurant area, but far enough to be quiet in the evenings. Great sea view from the dining room. Secure, onsite parking at no extra cost. Oh, and the room and linens were VERY clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable!
Cons: If you're staying alone, the walk back from the centre might be a little too far after dark (not a dislike, just something to bear in mind). The room was very spartan, so it's a good, clean, reliable place rather than a luxury aesthetic experience -- but I thought that was fine, because the price is reasonable. I would stay here again :)
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Great staff,cool place,nice sheets.good wifi
Cons: Lack of plugs for electronics
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice, quiet location and a good view... very good Italian restaurant right in front.... very comfy room!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was ideal for the city centre which is what we wanted.
Cons: The hotel was fine but unfortunately it was on the edge of the area where rioting had taken place but far enough away to be free of it. The hotel was safe in itself and the staff offered very helpful advice. That said it was easy to move around and visit local restaurants
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic view to the bay - ensure you'll book a room with view! In-person service was very good and welcoming
Cons: Customer service prior to arrival was bad. Tried to prepay the hotel but emails were ignored - one point to improve.

Pros: Have stayed here a couple of times and just love it. It's like a second home.
Cons: I love this place. Would be a 100% rating if there were some restaurants closer.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room with a view to the sea and the city. Very clean and cozy. The staff was very friendly.
Cons: The hotel is far from restaurants and the city center. Location is a bit secluded.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners of this hostel are a French couple who speak English, Spanish, and French. They were very sweet and kind to us. We arrived late in the evening after being robbed. The owner helped us put a plastic covering over the broken window of our rental car. He was very kind and accommodating despite the fact that we did not communicate our late arrival time. The hostel was clean, big, and very cool inside. The rooms were nice and the location was pretty central, but also quiet and safe.
Cons: Nothing

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great owners, Clement and Stephanie, thanks for the hospitality. The breakfast was in time. The room is cozy, Nice bed linens, and has space for every object. The host gave me nice tips of restaurants nearby, a map, and a perfect circuit to spend all day off. The owner kept our luggage and car in the garage, even after checkout time. Thanks you guys, so respectful, polite, and kind.
Cons: Kitchen time is so strict, even to access the fridge. I could not take my fresh cold beverage after dinner as there was a sign restricting zone after 23:00.
10.0 Excellent

7.0 Good
Pros: Hostess was very positive and cheerful. Excellent breakfast and location
Cons: Room not ready, toilet needed fixing, confusion about free breakfast.
6.0 Good
Pros: Great location. Close to everything.!
Cons: House smelled a bit musty. It’s a lovely old house but could do with a a bit of TLC. However, the bed linen was fresh. Bathroom was old and a bit decrepit.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The position is very good. The guy at the reception gave us some useful information. The living room is nice and there are some games. Nice house in British style.
Cons: We booked two nights in the B&B. The room had never cleaned and tidied up; the bin in the bathroom had never been emptied (It was very full because you cannot throw the paper in the toilet bowl). We had only a roll of paper in the bathroom that was enough for just one day. The second day we had to use our tissues because there was nobody to ask for. The shower cubicle in the toilet is small and the flow of the water is not good. The mattress of the bed is a bit unconfortable.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: Not clean, no breakfast so why the name of the place with & No heating, there is a smell of mold

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was excellent, extremely clean and hot shower. Continental breakfast was magnificent, mixed of fruits, fresh eggs, jams and hot Chilean bread. The staff ladies were so friendly. even if they don’t speak fluent English, they were able to provide you great services and help. Location is excellent near to the main attractions, art street and it was only 7min by Uber from bus terminal, overall excellent services and quality hotel.
Cons: Nothing, all its great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything- amazing location, comfortable beds, strong showers, great breakfast with eggs made to order, yoghurts, hams, cheeses, fresh fruit, cereals. Staff were also very kind and helpful - we accidentally booked the wrong dates and booking.com app said there would be a cost to cancel of 54 USD, but the hotel waived the charge and allowed us to change the dates at the very last minute.
Cons: Nothing, it was perfect!
7.0 Good
Pros: Really friendly staff, very welcoming and helpful. It's in a great location, too, within walking distance to all the main sites.
Cons: You need to be really careful about what rooms you choose. We chose two that didn't have any street windows and were extremely noisy. The other rooms looked much better.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely building, nicely decorated and renovated. Room was spacious and comfortable with a good shower in the en suite bedroom. Staff were friendly and helpful, a good breakfast was provided. The location is great in an attractive area with good restaurants close by. Our departure plane was at night and we were able to use our room during the day.
Cons: Found the pillows a bit firm.
Hotel Da Vinci Valparaíso - Valparaíso - Bedroom
7
8.9 Excellent (162 reviews)
Overview Reviews

Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. For a surcharge, guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle (available on request) and a cruise ship terminal shuttle.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Pathetic breakfast. On our second day we decided to skip it altogether and paid to have breakfast at a cafe.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were welcoming and helpful. The lobby was welcoming and comfortable. A keurig style espresso machine downstairs made mornings more special. If you need a beverage or a pick-me-up, there's a cooler downstairs where you can buy sodas, energy drinks, aloe juice, and still water.
Cons: Conversations, footsteps, other people's TVs, cell phones ringing... all of it entered our room as though our bed were in the center of the lobby with zero walls around us. On Saturday morning at 4:30, someone walked back and forth across our ceiling eleven times in five minutes, then down the stars and back and forth across the lobby. They continued up and down the stairs and across our ceiling till well after 7:30. Every footstep echoed in our room and kept us wide awake. Sleep was not possible with the level of noise that carried into our room. Additionally, one entire wall of our room is floor-to-ceiling windows that look out on the center courtyard and the interior hallways opposite our room. Ordinarily, this would be spectacular... except that the curtains that were meant to provide us privacy weren't big enough and only covered a portion of these enormous windows. With the curtains fully stretched as far as they would go, it was still possible for someone to stand to one side and have a full and unobstructed view of us in our room. Privacy was not possible unless the lights were off. This was rather frustrating.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning
Cons: Stunning location,quirky hotel,great atmosphere
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, perfect location, very comfortable lovely boutique hotel. Great breakfast, close to many restaurants, stores and sights. Owner is great. Would stay there again.
Cons: I can't think of a thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice old building with wooden interior. The room was quiet and clean. It had all that we needed. Hosts were very nice and helpful. The location is very good - it is next to the two of the main passages - Fisher and Apolo.
7.9 Good
Pros: All you need is a clean room with a comfortable bed and good hot water (it was hot but took a long time to come through) - Hotel Da Vinci ticked all these boxes. Staff were very friendly & helpful, even with the language differences.
Cons: I chose the single room over two storeys, and the headroom was not good for a tall person like me. This was my choice, not a criticism of the hotel. In hindsight I should have paid more for a room with full headroom.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner was really helpful and let us check in early. He showed us where to go and where not to go. Even helped organise a rental car with a local company when none of the websites would allow us to book one online. The location was great because its situated not far from everything. It's a easy walk to the main bars, close to banks and there are restaurants just up the hill on the same street. You have to get use to the plumbing in the showers as you have to run the water for quite a while before it gets hot but there are signs in the bathroom telling you what to do. The only issue was the curtains on the first floor bedroom did not fully cover the whole of the window facing the outside. However, we enjoyed it so much that we returned the following week on the way back to Santiago and got a room on the ground floor which had one of the most comfortable beds we had slept in during our trip.
6.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was really good and the location is perfect. The house itself is lovely and everything was clean.
Cons: We didn't have hot water in our shower (when we told them, they said they checked it and it works but it didn't). The laundry we gave was promised at the same night. The following day it wasn't dry when we needed to leave. There was a problem with the dryer and they didn't charge us for it, so I'm sure this was just bad luck.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I loved the coffee and the kindness of the owner and his staff. It was 4 min walk from my work, very convenient location.
Cons: The first room I had was a bit too small. They moved me to a larger room.

Pros: Staff was so nice and helpful with navigating the city. They arranged a New Year’s Eve celebration for guests. Nice shower.
Cons: Was very pricey for a hostel, even with private bathroom. Would expect a little more for breakfast and daily cleaning. Also the room has a balcony, but it wasn’t clear the balcony was public- So lacked some privacy.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was awesome. Really big, good bed and a great bathroom. The view is outstanding, and if you go to the rooftop is still better. There's room for how many clothes you bring for sure. It's full of wardrobes.
Cons: I didn't like that my bedroom's door handle was not working. And I didn't like the fact that the staff for my arrival didn't speak English, so I had to make all the check-in in Spanish, but I'm not that good. But all minor issues.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner of this hostel is incredibly sweet and hospitable. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and would do anything to make your stay enjoyable. Safe parking in Valpariso was a plus and very much enjoyed the kitchenette in our room and view of the city. Would absolutely reccomend and stay again. Thank you so much!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, the helpful owner, the view, comfortable bed, kitchen facility in the aparment.
Cons: Nothing to dislike!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely little homely B&B with absolutely stunning views. The owner was really lovely and helpful with a map and recommendations. We got an "apartment" which was an ensuite room with a little kitchenette. We didn't really make much use of it, but it was well kitted out for simple cooking with a stove and a large fridge with a few pots/plates etc. There was a wifi router in the kitchen so the signal was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was really good with fresh fruit and nice bread/cheese etc.
Cons: I actually really liked the location but this is not for you if you don't like a bit of a walk. We always walked into town down a steep hill which took about 15mins and was very pleasant. We generally took taxis back from town at night (and once when we were just tired!) which came to around 4000 chilean pesos a time. This was definitely worth the peace and quiet and the great views! It's also very close to the maritime museum and there's a lovely cafe just a couple of blocks away.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Our host and the house
Cons: Valparaiso is a tatty and dirty town that is falling to pieces. B n b is in a very dirty and tatty street liered with dog turds.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Upon entering, we were immediately impressed with the cleanliness of the property. The courtyard had several flowering plants and, most fun, a fig tree from which we enjoyed freshly picked, by us, figs! We started each morning with a delightful and tasty breakfast prepared by our hostess, with whom we enjoyed visiting and learning about Chile. Each evening was spent on the balcony of our apartment, snacking on cheese and fruit with, of course, a few glasses of Chilean vino! Being on a hillside, the view during the day, and especially at night, was breathtaking. The neighbors had begun decorating for Christmas, so the water sparkled and the lights twinkled. We were never rushed and found time for relaxing, which was just what we needed. The facility is a short walk from the neighborhood where we dined, shopped and visited with the locals. We will definitely stay at El Mirador our next trip to Chile, which may be sooner than we thought!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A super clean, nice B&B. It’s one of the best I’ve seen. The owner is really nice and helpful. Breakfast is really good compared to the price. They also have parking spots which is difficult to find in this town. It’s worth staying here.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable inexpensive B&B, with good breakfasts, best shower (!), and a wonderful view. Our host was friendly and helpful with maps and suggestions for sightseeing in this unique historical city with the most fantastic building art we’ve ever seen.
Cons: Unfortunately the recent protests are having a significant impact on tourism all over Chile and while El Mirador is usually near capacity, there were few other guests during our stay. Protests are happening in many Chilean cities but they are mostly peaceful and seem to be subsiding. They have become predictable, occurring in the same general locations at about the same time each day, and therefore avoidable. Ask your hotel host for guidance. This is actually an interesting time to be in Chile, everyone has an opinion about the protests, and we’re very glad we came!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Price should have been my first indication. Very, very basic.
Cons: No shade on window. Nothing close by for food, etc. Extremely basic accommodation. I was not about to use the shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really loved location on the hill with a beautiful view of Valparaiso The owner of the hotel was very nice and accommodating with all our requests Room was nice and bed really comfortable
Cons: Everything was perfect

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, express check-in, and express check-out. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge (available on request), and free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This old family home being run as a small hotel is a treasure trove of family collectibles and is laid out well, with a beautiful outside terrace. Tea, coffee and filtered water are available at any time of day or night, usually accompanied by biscuits and, if you want, fascinating conversation. Both Carolina and Doris, the sisters who run the hotel, are well versed in Chilean history, politics, the local area and have lived in many places in Chile, so have a good knowledge of the country’s geography too. We followed their recommendations for our two day stay and feel we made the most of our short visit. Transport around the city is easy and cheap, so the location away from the main hotel and restaurant area is not a problem at all.
Cons: Very little to complain about, other than mentioning that some of the fittings show signs of age, such as the shower unit in our room, which is fitted with a very modern power shower, but the doors were coming off their sliders, the tray was slightly cracked and the powerful jets went straight over the top of the unit, soaking the room!
9.1 Excellent
Pros: The owners, Doris and Carolina, are the only staff and from the start treated us more as friends than as guests at the hotel. The hotel is on the hill above Valparaiso, but with the information provided by our host, it was made easy to find our way in and out of the area, at very reasonable costs. Where else could you expect the host to provide you with a guided tour of the easy access from the town? The whole experience was enchanting!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome hosts at the house, who certainly enabled me to get the most out of my visit to Valparaíso. Place is up the hill but travel up with the shared rides makes it a breeze.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Relaxing, nice area, great host.
Cons: The bed mattress was too soft.
7.5 Good
Pros: This is basically a museum. Run by 2 sisters whose grand granddad build the house in 1919. Since then it was the family house and nothing has changed. You are in all the old stuff. Great breakfast on a Terrasse with a view over the city private parking (but a bit a challenge to get into the garage) Sisters who run it are perfect hosts Price Value is nice
Cons: The place has this old smell Bathroom was across the floor Beds are kind of old
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very warm attention. Perfect breakfast.
Cons: Slow wifi
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was the BEST hotel we stayed in, during our 3 weeks journey. And this was solely due to the 2 sisters who made you feel at home instantly. Whenever you come in, they offer coffee and tea, make pancakes, treat you like a part of the family! The room was great, filled with antiques and curiosities. We slept like angels and were spolt from the first to the last second
Cons: I personally did not mind, but the house is old, and as such has also an old bathroom. It's also steep uphill, so maybe not to be recommended for people with walking difficulties.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The two sisters who own the property are so gracious and helpful. Beautiful view of Valparaiso and ocean. Loved to see the twinkling lights of the city below at night. Nice to see how people live in this city
Cons: I would never drive here

Pros: Location is great, walking distance to great restaurants, shops etc. Our room was big and comfortable with a great sea view. Hotel itself is really charming, with great features old and new, so if you have an interest in antiques and art, this is a wonderful place to stay. Staff were lovely exceptionally helpful (especially with a situation of a pre-booked taxi that did not show up- Pablo the hotel Manger came to our rescue and got a transfer for us booked so we made our flight!). All in all, a great stay and a super hotel.

7.7 Good
Pros: Staff at front desk were friendly enough and spoke a little English; elevators were functioning and clean, room was minimalist but clean and comfortable and quiet; bathroom was clean with nice showerhead; front desk called a private taxi for us when we checked out. A young man on the staff went out of his way to let us know how long we could expect to wait for the cab and to let us know when it arrived for us.
Cons: We missed the full breakfast, so when we went to the self-serve breakfast afterward, the options were limited to basically bread, coffee, and tea. That would have been fine, except staff did not seem interested in making breakfast easy or comfortable for us. The area was messy from the full breakfast earlier that morning, and we had to ask where to sit and how to get our food, because the staff in the cafe area were not especially attentive or helpful to us obvious foreigners.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location near Harbour, there's a safe paid parking premises.
7.0 Good
Cons: No hot type food in breakfast for vegans/ vegetarians. The front office staff does not fully understand english. I had to talk to three different people to get an answer to my tour / taxi requirement.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location is convenient. Close to bus station and not very far from the touristic area.
Cons: We booked an ocean view room, but it was a really bad decision, although the view is beautiful it was very noisy and we had to change to another room at 2am. We didnt take the breakfast it is expensive compare with others offers around.

Pros: Perfect location to explore Strongest WiFi we have had in the whole of South America Good breakfast variety Nice and helpful staff Try and stay on higher floors to avoid any noise from transport
Cons: Transport hub goes underneath hotel, try and stay on higher floors
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Ibis is located right on the docks and above the metro station. We loved the colors of the barges and the city outside our window. The location was so central to museums, the historic neighborhoods and important monuments.
Cons: Breakfast was pretty weak and the pillows were a bit clumpy.
