Pros: This hotel is amazing, everything you could want and imagine when visiting japan! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Even the people in the town are very friendly, a truly amazing Japanese experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was one day great experience ! The place is very sophisticated and traditional !!!! The staff, the dinner, the onsen, the traditional Japanese garden were just perfect !!! Special thanks to Nanako for her introducing to us some hidden sites of Japan through the food, various explanations and her presence during the dinner time !!!!
Cons: NA
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a must visit ryokan in the adorable town of Kinosaki. The rooms go into a tranquil garden that makes you immediately feel relaxed. The facilities are extremely well maintained and the staff is very professional. My recommendation is to book for two nights and to have one dinner at restaurant Sanpou that is next door. It gives a perfect combination of traditional ryokan and fine dining in a perfectly designed restaurant. Kinosaki offers plenty of things to do, so staying more than just one night is well worth it.
Cons: There is absolutely nothing that one couldn't like at Nishimura Honkan. If only I would have had more time to spend in the tea room with the wonderful writing desks.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff (especially Yuki the room attendant) were exceptional The room was huge, quiet and comfortable. Staying somewhere traditional in a small town made you feel you were truly experiencing Japan The outdoor bath and shower were a special experience The Onsen rooms had everything there (towels etc) The food was outstanding The public Onsen pass means you can get the full experience The shared bus from the station and the ryokan transport back to the station make life easier with suitcases

Pros: Great friendly service, great location, and wonderful owners. I am a vegetarian and when I let them know, they provided me with a great vegetarian breakfast! Overall a great experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staffs, room, breakfast and onzen are the best! Actually everything was perfect here. Best moment for all my journeys in Kansai.
Cons: None
9.6 Excellent
Pros: They made me a gluten-free breakfast that could have fed three people! It was gorgeous, including salmon, tamagoyaki (eggs), rice, miso soup, shrimp and squid sashimi, vegetables, and fruit. They bought gluten-free soy sauce for me even though I told them that I would bring my own. The ryokan is very, very clean and the host is very friendly, and the location is perfect for visiting onsen, with many restaurants and shops nearby. It was also nice to have a toilet attached to the room rather than having to share one. The room also had a sink and refrigerator.
Cons: Although it was not problem for me, my room was on the third floor, which might be a problem for those with mobility concerns.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: So soft and comfortable futon, clean and tidy room, every staffs were so kind and there were gorgeous meal. Easy walkable distance from railway station with heavy luggages. Every onsens are within 15mins walk maximum.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The couple that runs the place are a delight, very friendly and accommodating for those traveling solo. Incredible value for money and a delicious breakfast was included. The property is also in prime location, a four minute walk from Kinosakionsen station. Another important perk is that the day pass for the other onsens around Kinosaki is already included in the price. The room was spacious in beautiful Japanese style. Definitely worth a visit!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, indoor bath and house in general. They even changed our room for the last night to a nice room with city/street view. This, I would recommend booking.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great place, great food, location and atmosphere.
Cons: The staff is great, but they should respect the privacy a bit more, We ordered breafast for 8.30, at 7 there was a staff member to make our bed, he entered the room without knocking. Only cash payment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect! Staff were incredibly friendly. The food (aka the feast for breakfast and dinner) was delicious! The inn is in located in center of the town hub close to everything.
Cons: The steep steps - which is not adjustable. So I advice not to bring a massive suitcase (mine was ~ medium 15kg) because I did and it was a workout to take it down from 3rd floor to ground floor. Someone took it up those stairs for me when I arrived (bless them) I would imagine it would have been struggle.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful in every way. The meals served in our room were fabulous. There is an in house hot spring bath as well as all the public baths of Kinosakionsen. Staying at Morizuya was one of the highlights of our trip.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We loved the cultural experience of Morizuya and the friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing. It was all perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service was amazing! I’ve never experienced this before. I also enjoyed how enthusiastic the owner was with taking pictures because I also feel that taking pictures is important. Their bath was my favorite of all the ones I got around to trying. They are also right across from souvenir shops.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Tea ceremony was really interesting, the hospitality was really good and the food is good too.

Pros: Nice food friendly staff
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service, the cleanliness, the food!
Cons: We liked everything!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location spaciousness, peacefulness, atmosphere, little garden to look out on to. Nearness to seven onsens to visit. Attentive staff. Own onsen was good too. Staying at this place was one of the highlights of our holiday in Japan. The town is magical (though it is very hard to find other than bar snack food by mid evening - we loved the seafood restaurant half way on the right hand side towards the station, open later and excellent food - you can’t miss the way the menu is promoted in big posters all around the walls, lovely staff there too and is well supporter by locals).
Cons: Felt our room, though very comfortable and extremely spacious, needed a bit of an upgrade, especially in the bathroom area which looked tired and dated. Thinking of the avocado green hand basin, torn wallpaper behind toilet and stained carpet in little sitting area by garden outlook.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All you need in Kinosaki! Excellent location, great staff, very clean room. The hotel onsen was basically my own private onsen. All for great value. Highly recommended
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was my first ryokan experience in Japan. The staff was very gracious, patient, helpful and full of good humor.
Cons: I was looking for a way to wash basic clothes. The best recommendation would have been the coin laundry. Instead I was sent to a dry cleaners who inspected my clothes and refused them. Embarrassing!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hospitality! Beautiful facilities, delicious meals, and the beer was amazing. Incredibly easy to check in and out, starting from leaving the train station to getting back on!
Cons: No complaints, everything was amazing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the staff members. They were so nice, helpful, and made me feel like I was at a resort. The dinner and breakfast was wonderful. I love how I was able to experience different types of Japanese cuisine that I would have never ordered before. The onsen that they had in the ryokan was also amazing. Small, personal, with great amentities. I had a great view from my room and the room wasn’t comfortable. It was in the middle of all the other onsen, so it was a great location with family mart right in front of us too.
Cons: The pillow was firm, but I already expected that. I wanted the whole traditional Japanese ryokan experience.
6.3 Good
Pros: Dinner was really fantastic and memorable.
Cons: Expensive for what we got in terms of the room and comfort level. Onsen was pretty basic.
Utsuroi Tsuchiya Annex - Toyooka - Building

The Tsuchiya Ryokan offers a pleasant stay in Toyooka for those traveling for business or leisure. The hotel is just 1km away from JR Kinosaki-Onsen Station. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Yamada family has done a terrific job rehabilitating a former fire station. The architecture alone is worth five stars. I must commend the family for their welcoming attitude and attempt to meet one’s needs.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: A modern take on a traditional Japanese Ryoken. In particularly liked the balcony with a small rock garden and a swinging egg chair overlooking the hill - was an amazing touch. The staff were first class, the cafe downstairs which did cracking coffee and breakfast, and the full kimono and pass for the 7 onsens in Kinosaki all added to the experience
Cons: Not much really - just be aware that you’ll be sleeping on the floor (the staff set up bedding and futons), as is the style of Ryokens.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: That it was reasonably new, fresh & clean. That the staff were friendly & happy to have guests staying.
Cons: Absolutely nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the style of the room. I felt so relaxed as soon as I walked into the room and there is the comfiest egg chair. The location is perfect at one end of town to leisurely walk to the other end.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with a serene atmosphere in the lovely town of Kinosaki Onsen. Wonderful onsen in the hotel and good breakfast. The free shuttle from and to the station and to the public onsens in the town was very convenient. Last and certainly not least, we had two great dinners and lunch at Sanpou, a restaurant in the town owned by the hotel. One of the best meals we had during our stay in Japan!
Cons: Nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The night spent at this establishment was quite simply the most relaxing and luxurious moment of a 20 day Japan trip. Everything from start to finish was perfect. Highlights included how spacious my room was, how nice the onsen facilities were (by far my favourite in town and I visited most of the public onsens before coming to this conclusion), how delicious and refined the dinner was, and how amazing the breakfast buffet was too.
Cons: The only thing I regretted was that my room had a lingering tobacco odor, the hotel had installed a device to purify and clean the air, but it was the kind of very light persistent small that it is hard to get rid of. I get that Japan has a different approach to smoking indoors that some other places.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was stunning in every way. The room was spacious, beautifully presented and well equipped. The facilities were equally stylish and comfortable. The public baths in the hotel were exceptional. Being just slightly removed from the town meant that it was beautifully quiet and peaceful. My only regret is that we did not go on the forest bath walk, we ran out of time and good weather.
Cons: The breakfast was a buffet, which had many excellent options, but we would have preferred a kaiseki option. The gift shop on the ground floor is a bit jarring.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is just pretty good. Staff very friendly. Everything we expect was there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall the experience at Shogetsutei was a perfect. Absolutely amazing in accommodation, food, onsen, staff, service, cleanliness, Japanese immersive experience and attention to details. The ryokan style room is very beautiful and comfortable. The small onsen in the terrace is perfect for some private time and to enjoy during the nights when the public onsen close. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely spectacular, dinner was served in our room by a lovely japanese lady who also prepared parts of it, like rice, grilled crab etc. The attention to details with the food was incredible. Breakfast is buffet but is almost as varied and tasty as the dinner. The public onsen inside Shogetsutei is in my opinion the best and most beautiful one in the village. Location wise it is not as centric as Nishimuraya Honkan but that allowed (when building) for a bigger hotel with more and bigger rooms as well as some rooms with a private bath in the terrace which is amazing. The previous night i stayed in Nishimuraya Honkan which is in my opinion slightly superior because of its beautiful old traditional historic building, but can honestly recommend going to both, since they offer a slightly digferent experience, specially if you want to try having a private bath in your room/terrace. A big thank you to all the staff and the hotel of Nishimuraya Shogetsutei and Honkan for a wonderful and unforgettable experience. Arigato gostaimashita :)
Cons: Nothing.
7.5 Good
Pros: Well organized onsen hotel with pickup and drop of from railway station. Modern room with all the comfort. Good dinner service. English food Menu and information availability
Cons: Hotel used by several tour busses. Standard service, no personal attention and no active mention of bus service to railway station. Far away from city center. Food was good but for the price would expect more and not better then other ryokan which cost less.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Where to start... this is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Absolutely immaculately clean, and the rooms are something very special. The staff are fantastic; extraordinarily welcoming, polite, and charming. The facilities are second to none. Kinosaki is full of Onsen, of course, but the one at Nishimuraya Shogetsutei is amongst the best, and the only one with a steam room as far as I'm aware. The lobby, bar area, and gardens are a sight to behold, in fact, the entire place is stunning. Unfortunately, the pool was not open, since I visited during off season, but that also looks great. The breakfast buffet is fresh, delicious, and varied. The dinner... on another level entirely. At 13,800 JPY, it is not cheap, but you really do get what you pay for. A beautifully presented 10 course meal is served to you in your room, in an unintrusive, quintessentially Japanese manner. The food is top quality; the Snow Crab, Sashimi, and Wagyu beef all utterly delicious, and again, the staff are astoundingly accommodating and thoughtful. Speaking of quality touches, if you thought Japanese toilets were great in general, then wait until you see the toilets in this place, with seats which automatically open as you enter, and at the push of a button close and flush themselves. I can imagine for those with disabilities this hotel would be a great choice. Everywhere is wheelchair accessible, and adapted seating is also provided in the public bath areas. The private baths are really worth the extra cost if you want an even more luxurious experience. 8,800 JPY for 70 minutes, with champagne ice bucket provided. Each private bath house can probably accommodate a group of up to 5 or 6, and also has a private sauna (the slightly cooler type in which you wear sauna clothes). There's a very good reason Nishimuraya Shogetsutei is considered the best ryokan in town by the locals. I will certainly be staying here on future visits to Kinosaki.
Cons: I can't think of a single thing that I didn't like about this hotel.

Pros: The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. The scenery is also very beautiful.
Cons: Slightly far from the main town area. The public hot baths don’t seem very secure. Ladies bath door can be opened by anyone.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We could view the sea from our spacious room . The room is clear. The services provided were good. The staff were very polite. The dinner and breakfast were delicious . Very worth to spend our holiday there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing! The staff provided literally the best service one could ask for. The dinner and breakfast included wowed us. It was the best place to stay in for a feel of true Japanese style living.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place to stay, wish we stayed longer. Amazing staff, onsens were great and even had 2 private ones, which is nice for those who may be a tad nervous about the public onsen
7.1 Good
Pros: The stay was okay, I was just expecting a bit more. Meal was very good. Service was okay but nothing that I could say was special.
Cons: The rooms and facilities are showing wear and tear. The outdoor onsen had algae all along the rims where the water meets the wood; this leads me to think that it's not cleaned often. It also makes me wonder what else is not cleaned or maintained.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Dinner and Breakfast worth everything. Shuttle bus between station and hotel, and all the staff too good! Two private onsen good for couple. Love & enjoy!
Cons: As seaside and bit countryside, there are bugs beside the window.
5.8 Okay
Pros: sea view
Cons: food is fair only for its price value

Pros: Staff were all exceptional and pleasant! There was free shuttle service to get around town. The in-house onsen was superb! Upgraded us to a Japanese room and the tatami mattresses were so comfortable. The decor and sights of the ryoken were so beautiful and comfortable!
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Every thing was amazing.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything ! Location , facilities and staff was super friendly and courteous !
Cons: Nothing at all ! Everything was just fine !
9.2 Excellent
Pros: There is a shuttle available that you can take whenever you want to leave or come back. There are hot baths available on the property, and at times I was the only one there, so it felt like a private bath sometimes. Everything is quite clean and comfortable.
Cons: It is located a little far (15-20 min walk) from the main onsen and downtown areas. Also, I tried to schedule having dinner in the ryokan, instead of outside, but they said I couldn't do so. Most of the restaurants around were closed by 5 or 6 pm, so dinner options were limited.

6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were very friendly and room very comfortable.
Cons: The food was some of the worst I have eaten in japan. Very expensive to have dinner in the room too.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: If traditional is what you are looking for then this is place for you. Breakfast looked good even though not to my taste. Staff did everything they could to accommodate. Room was comfy enough, futon beds were as good as you expect.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The onsite onsen was really lovely. The location was excellent, being 250 metres from the train station. Food was delicious and a fancy affair.
Cons: They didn’t provide coffee with breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great way to experience Japanese culture - Mikuniya is a ryokan, traditional Japanese Inn. Take room plus meal is not cheap but recommended - the food was delicious and very well served. In addition to meal and accommodation you get beautiful yukatas (kind of robes) to stroll around Kinosakionsen and passes to all public bathes.
Cons: Maybe a bit better English for staff member would make communication easier. But it isn't a big deal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I loved our stay Mikuniya Ryokan. The food was delicious, the staff was lovely, and the whole experience was incredible! We’ve never felt so full and relaxed in our lives. It’s close to all of the onsens, but we also really liked using the private onsens. We enjoyed nightly walks and explored the cafes and shops in our yukata. We really feel like we got more than we paid for! I would recommend this place to friends and family.
Cons: We have no complaints. Looking forward to staying here again!

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and luggage storage. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge, and free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very accommodating to us and patient that we did not know how things should work. Everyone was always very friendly and polite, instructive if needed. The chef was kind to accommodate my vegetarian husband, and myself as pescatarian for breakfast, which was superb. We found the room and building comfortable and clean, and especially enjoyed the private onsen experience. Access to the main town is an easy pleasant walk, we hardly used the shuttle service. I actually preferred being a little out of town as the clip clopping of groups travelling from Onsen to Onsen late at night would affect noise levels on in the main town. We are delighted with our stay.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I would recommend this to everyone who’s coming to kinosaki onsen. It’s highly valued for money even though it is slightly far off from the town as compared to the other ryokans, but the ryokan provides frequent shuttle buses to the town which is merely a 10mins drive. The breakfast and dinner provided were delicious as well and the ryokan has kindly accommodated to my food preference as a pescatarian. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Overall I would like to rate it as a 8/10 experience.
Cons: The room might be a little cramped.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was really comfortable and the food was amazing! Their customer service is top notch. Wish I had booked it for more than one night. They have their own private onsen and also provide you with a pass so that you can visit the many onsens in the areas. Lovely experience overall.
Cons: It's 15 to 20 min walk from the town but they offer free shuttle services
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing!! The personnel, the diner and breakfast, onsens... Love it!!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality Service of the entire ryokan
7.9 Good
Pros: The grounds and room are beautiful as are the baths ( although the propane only allowed them to be warm). There is a marvelous chair near the mens bath that can make for a wonderful start or end to the day in Kinosaki Onsen.
Cons: The location required scheduling the property's shuttle van into and back from 'town'. This was the only inn during our 3-week visit of Japan that I had a sense of being gaigin rather than gaikokujin from a young male staff member.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything!! Staff very friendly and professional. Very nice spacious room. Amazing onsen. The food was delicious!!

Pros: - Food The food tastes and looks so good. The portion seems small, but you will definitely feel full at the end of the meal. - Service Caring services. They even have a pick-up service to and from Kinosaki Onsen (once a day!!!). - Room The room sizes are really big, but not all rooms have the same size. For example, room 4 is less spacious than room 3. They also have a 24-hour lounge where you can enjoy beverages there. You will also enjoy some welcoming snacks too.
Cons: If you have booked 2 rooms for a family visit, but would like to have rooms of the same size, you may have to inform them beforehand. Otherwise, they will allocate rooms of the same floor where room sizes differ.
5.0 Okay
Cons: check in & check out too slow

Pros: The ryokan is beautiful, and certainly the nicest place I have stayed. The rooms are traditional japanese style, so expect to sit and sleep on mats/cushions on the ground. Personally I quite liked it. We were overlooking the garden with a good view. I reserved the apple private bath. I don't know how much the apples added to anything, but the private onsen itself was great and it was a nice little aesthetic touch. The food was fantastic and meticulously presented. Staff were very helpful and spoke enough English to make up for my poor Japanese.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 2 nights in Yuraku Spa, with our young boy. This journey was fantastic and beyond expectations. Kinosaki-Onsen is a place to relax and enjoy a traditional japanese lifestyle that is hard to find in bigger cities. And Yuraku Spa gave us a full experience : from private onsen to yukata, from breakfast to the tasteful 13 dishes dinner, from arrival shuttle to the kindness of the staff, everything was perfect. One of the best times of our 3 week trip in Japan, and very well-spent money :) Thanks again to all the staff members for your help and your smiles ! Also don't come here to jog or rush, you won't fit in this town :)
Cons: Nothing comes to mind. Really.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic place, execellent service, impeccable exprience. Would definitely return there. Breakfast was amazing, I will definitely get the dinner package next round.
Cons: I went during a low season, everything was closed at 6pm. Nothing to do during the night. Could not even find food, had to rely on family mart.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect
Cons: The baths of the hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was so delicious and the staffs were very helpful and friendly.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Yuraku is Japanese hospitality at its finest. The rooms had a minimalist approach to their decor as expected of most traditional ryokans, and guests are also treated to a view of a well maintained Japanese garden from their window. It goes without saying, but no ryokan experience is complete without a kaiseki dinner, something which Yuraku delivered spectacularly well. A stay in this ryokan also entitles guests to use their public bath and have a session in one of three private onsens which are available on-site. Tastefully decorated rooms, clean public baths, and delicious meals - this is one ryokan you absolutely have to visit. Kudos to Yuka, who was amazingly meticulous in looking after us for the entire stay. She was instrumental in making our stay just so enjoyable.

Pros: I loved everything about Yuraku Kinosaki Spa & Gardens!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I will recommend this hotel to others. We can name this hotel "the best hospitality". Hotel design and decoration are typical Japanese style. The staff are well trained like 5 stars hotel. They care for guest and good communication with their team. The front office staff asked for guest preferences and they transfer information to their team. Kitchen ad FB staff took a good care for us. Breakfast was impressive for our 3 days stay. Food are not only delicious, but also beautiful. Actually, I was be impressed since I did the booking. FO staff, Hiromi is quite concern with my request that I travel with 70 year old mom. My mom is allergic for smoking. Hiromi prepare the best room and put air purifier in our room. Also, my mom got sick in one of the afternoon during our staying. Hiromi was also took a good care for us. She prepared boiled rice and Japanese plum and took to our room by herself. Finally my mom got recovered. We would like to say thank you from our heart to her. Other staff are also willing to help on every request from us. Risako, front office staff has the welcome smile on every request. Keto San, restaurant staff helped us a lot to organize day trip by ropeway. The management team always showed us at the lobby to welcome and farewell guests. The room is so big with balcony in Japanese style and we have private bathroom organized daily with different theme- Orange, Floral and Apple. And we also can use public bath in hotel as we want. When we go out the room, housekeeping came to tidy the room and preparing all the equipment so fast. FO team also prepared the farewell card for us. This is handmade card with Thai language. This hotel make me clearly understand of the word "Hospitality". The Kinosaki town is quite small, we walk to every street and every shops already this trip. But we will come back again other season because we are impress with Yuraku Resort and Spa Hotel. Thank you all staff. You make our vacation unforgettable.

Pros: Very good staff especially the women who can speak English.
Cons: The shuttle bus from station to hotel is not enough, the hotel should add more shuttle bus schedules.

Cons: There english is not the best but with our limited Japense we could help them out a bit. So communication was dificult but they could answer all our question
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This ryokan provided us with the complete Japanese onsen experience! It was the highlight of our trip to Japan!! The room was large and comfortable; decorated in typical Japanese style. The staff is just unbelievable!!!...looking after anything you would need. This onsen is not located in Toyooka...it's in a small, beautiful town called Kinosakionsen...it has it's own railway station; so it's very easy to get to...just don't get off in Toyooka. The town has 7 bath houses that you have access to and Sensui has 3 private bathing rooms on site. The food was authentic; so you need to dive in and immerse yourself in the experience...you won't regret it. This was great value when compared to others in the area...highly recommended
Cons: It could not have been better

Pros: i visit Kinosaki because of the public onsens, but the hotel itself provide very nice onsen too. the staff are very nice and they made bed and tidy up the room for us.
Cons: it is quite far from the station, but not too bad as they provide delivery service from and to the station, anyway it's quite far from the first onsen that we have to walk on japanese wooden shoes to it. besides, the window view isn't so nice although i got the room that faced the mountain view, it was blocked by the appendix building of the hotel itself.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I absolutely love this place. The room is so big for four of us. The check in is very smooth. Super friendly staffs. I like the location at the end of the street. The breakfast was delicious and the tatami bed is very comfortable. Will definitely come back to stay.

Cons: While the highlight of this town is go different public baths (included in room price), wish the inhouse bath could open a little longer. I get up at 5am and want to take an onsen but still closed.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. The staff was soo friendly, it was heartwarming. The room was huge and comfy. The breakfast was japanese and differed every day. The Location is a bit far from Center, but close to some nice temples and the best onsen. Kinosaki is a small town, so the Center is still near, a 10 minutes walk. The Hanamandara has 4 private onsens with big Windows, showing to small gardens. I would definitely come again. It was incredible.
Cons: Coffee for breakfast!!!!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Hotel have 4 onsen bath, 3 in the main building Very private onsen because other guest can't access while you in the onsen. The room have a massage chair very relaxed after the onsen. Breakfast was fantastic Japanese style breakfast. Hotel provide ameneties kit for Onsen as much as you want. Hotel was next to Mandarayu bath.
Cons: Don't have hotel name or sign showing. Hotel have 2 main buildings which next to each other. Breakfast provide at the restaurant 3rd floor main building It would be better if breakfast can be serve in your room.
7.5 Good
Pros: We had to pay an extra onsen tax - per day - per person - which was unexpected.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our room was comfortable and spacious, the evening meal was amazing, a huge variety of different dishes. Breakfast was also great. Entrance to the public baths is included in the price, and a lovely way to spend a day!
