Onishiya Suishoen

I loved the onsens in town but the bath at the hotel is fantastic.Amazing breakfast and the most wonderful staff.

As soon as we get to the ryokan we were treated like royalty. They give you a yukata/wooden clogs to walk around and take pictures and since many others wear it in town it creates a lovely atmosphere in the old town. The town is very small. Takes 15 mins to walk from one end to the other. The ryokan is just outside of it. They will actually shuttle you to and from onsens which was really helpful. Just a quick tip - after about 3 or 4 onsens you’ll definitely need a ride home. It’s exhausting. Took us 3 hours to walk and explore 4 kinosaki onsens. They give you a pass for all the onsens but the one in their ryokan was the best in my opinion. There is free tea in the lounge area, and the lounge area itself is beautiful as it looks to the center of the ryokan - a japanese garden complete with koi fish and a rock garden. Our western style room was very comfortable and it had shampoo/conditioner/soap... but it also came with amazing moisturizers and conditioners for your hair. Our stay i included a breakfast which was so fancy that we felt spoiled. Fugu (blowfish) sashimi which was on my bucket list. I’m still alive and kicking and the sashimi was delicious! It also included rice, miso soup, salad, tofu, pickled veggies, plum drink, grilled flat fish, and pear jelly for dessert. We inhaled it! Best hotel we’ve ever stayed in worth every penny, please do yourself a favour and treat yourself to a stay here.
