7.0 Good
Pros: Great location, clean facilities, love discovering shops nearby
Cons: The room is slightly squeezed for two people if you were with some luggage
7.9 Good
Pros: Sleep very well. Very clean and pretty comfortable. The location is nice!!!!! You can easy to walk to Main Street!
Cons: Bathroom not too much. You need to wait.
7.5 Good
Pros: Facilities are complete, love the pantry, especially. The common area is cozy as well. The dorm beds are very spacious and comfortable.
Cons: It's a really nice place for solo travellers who wish to find a quiet guesthouse to stay, but the place kinda lose the human touch of a guesthouse. And we literally have to whisper when we talk. I think staff working in the guesthouse could be more friendly - even a simple morning smile would have brightened our day :)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, right next to the main shopping street with excellent restaurants and within walking distance of ritsurin garden. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there was a lot of English information about great sights we would have missed otherwise.
Cons: There was some small trouble with the plumbing for a few hours, but it was quickly fixed. The hostel is small, with a lot of stairs and narrow hallways, like all hostels in Japan. None of it caused us any trouble.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owner and staff members provided great advice! The hostel is conveniently located with many good restaurants as well as nice shops and cafes near by. Beds & bathrooms were clean and the rooms were quiet at night. The hostel lounge is really lovely and there are a lot of books about the region and art related topics, which is a great inspiration if you have not yet decided what to see during your stay!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The decor was really cute and great location.
Cons: It was really cold in our room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely stay ! Very good !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room design is quite good!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Overall, it’s a very clean and cozy hostal.
Cons: The alley to the dormitory is a little dark at night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was generally clean, close to the Kawaramachi tram stop and downtown area, friendly and professional staff, individual lockable capsule.
Cons: It would be nice to have soap in the toilets (currently only at basin in the hallway), sometimes the main door and the door to the dorms were both unlocked which seems insecure - perhaps emphasise to guests the need to lock the door after themselves when they come in late or leave early.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Went to Takamatsu during Obon week and this hostel was the only one left with reasonable prices (but still rather expensive). Additonally the 'interesting' design of the dorm room offers more privacy than typical hostel dorms. Rooms are clean and well maintained.
Cons: No kitchenette for cooking though they at least provide a fridge and microwave. The separate cubicles are indeed very private, however, air circulation is lacking and unless you leave open your door it'll get very warm (stayed there in August). JR Takamatsu station is quite some distance by foot but still manageable.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is decorated in a classic way. Love the snacks from the library lounge which open almost all day. Everything is in a classic way.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall quite satisfying with the room. Good breakfast with choices of Japanese and western. Club lounge service was a plus!
Cons: No onsen!
7.9 Good
Pros: Very nicely decorated in modern Art Deco style, friendly staff, room cleaned every day, comfy bed, nice view over the city, near to lots of shops and restaurants and about 15 mins walk to either Ritsurin gardens or the station / port, good breakfast either American or Japanese, free drinks and snacks in club lounge and rice bowls from 9-10pm
Cons: Pillows very hard, room and bathroom very small (normal in Japan though).
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was clean. The toiletries were ok. the bed was nice.
Cons: On the first evening I asked the people at reception if they could provide information on transport to Naoshima. I asked about ferry times, and when I should get to the Port to buy tickets. They said 30 minutes before the ferry departed should be enough. I then relayed this to my partner. We arrived at the Port and the tickets had sold out. We were told that tickets went on sale 40 minutes before the ferry left, and to get a ticket you had to queue for about 30-60 minutes before this time to get a ticket. As a result we lost 90 minutes waiting for the next ferry. This was basic information which the hotel should have known! I also lost a key card (I must have left it at breakfast) and was charged around 1500 yen for a replacement (I cannot remember the figure). This was outrageous given the amount we had already spent on the room. We also were in a rush in the morning and arrived at breakfast and had to queue. The waitress then sat a Japanese couple who arrived after us, causing us further delay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Executive lounge are all excellent! Both for the staff there and dinning options offered.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good. Not the usual buffet but cooked to order
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The included access to the library for tea, canapés and drinks was a good and useful offering.

7.5 Good
Pros: Very traditional, as the name suggests. Check- in was simple. Shower facility was clean, my most concerned area when booking any shared- toilet accommodation.
Cons: Perhaps outdoor areas can be more well- lit. Common shoes can be more comfortable to walk in and out around the premises.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the funky design and scandi look with the small desk alcove and tiny deck outside even a cute garden area. All extras, cultlery and pottery bowls etc modern and new.
Cons: Beds wee a bit hard even for Japanese standards. Hard to find initially needing help from local Japanese. Tiny though and lucky there were only two guests. Could have been tricky using the one toilet with a full house.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Near Kawaramachi station
Cons: One shower for all rooms
8.3 Excellent
Pros: location is great!and staff is friendly and helpful. You can leave luggage with them.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room had a quirky camping concept and the staff were friendly. The bunk was spacious enough for 2.
Cons: There was only one toilet and one shower so there was a lot of waiting involved.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Location, Takamatsu arcades, Ritsurin gardens.
Cons: There was one bathroom for multiple people and one shower. No real privacy in the so-called tents (inferior capsules). There was no air circulation as the air conditioner couldn't penetrate the wooden enclosures. Lights (40 bulbs lining two sides of the room) were supposed to be left on all night. Thank goodness one of the other guests defied the rules and turned them off. On arrival and in order to get breakfast, you were asked to review the place before you'd even seen the space, let alone stayed. (This may explain the favourable reviews! ) As well, there was no passport check, which may indicate the establishment is not running according to regulations. I discovered that guests were being charged different rates for the same facilities. This had nothing to do with early booking as late bookers seemed to pay about half of what others did. At just under Y4000 a night, which is what I paid, it's a ripoff! My worst experience in Japan and one of my worst anywhere!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: there is simple kitchen and toilet inside my private room, nice
Cons: nothing..all good

6.7 Good
Pros: convenient
Cons: close to shopping centre and food stores
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Female room is very nice.
6.3 Good
Pros: I liked the size of the room -I had a ladies room and the seemingly endless supply of cosmetics. I liked being able to open the window as it is so much more comfortable than being sealed in a room like some other chain hotels. The location was good for shopping but on balance I would prefer to stay by the station and the port.
Cons: I have stayed in other Daiwa Roynet hotels which have had good restaurants on site for example Vietnamese in Nagoya and Kyoto and Italian in Matsuyama. This one didn’t have a restaurant on site but instead a breakfast place just downstairs in the shopping centre which didn’t seem to be open in the evening and had very little variety. The approach to the hotel wasn’t very nice with people using the lift to get to the car park. On check in there was a hair in my basin and in the bath which was off putting and two days later I found a cheap ring under the desk in my room. I forwarded my luggage but no one told me it had arrived.
6.3 Good
Pros: Clean and functional hotel well located to city center and not too far from ferries to Naoshima (quick bus).
Cons: Limited English communication and lengthy check-in/out process.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and facilities - excellent access to shopping and restaurannts
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Good location and easy to access from airport. The bus stop of airport limousine bus is just in front of the hotel.
Cons: My room was at 4/F and facing the cover of the shopping dome next to the hotel. So the window could not be opened. The toilet was a bit smelly.
