The facility has been completely renovated from an ancient hotel where several historical people. Rooms are quiet and elegantly decorated. Cons: The hotel isn't worthy of 4 stars. The airco didn't work (room was an oven) and opening the windows wasn't an option (too noisy). Cushons were way too flat. Impossible to sleep! Breakfast was not ok: bacon burned, eggs too dry etc. I don't recommend this hotel, certainly not in summertime.

Asked for a quiet room backside of the building (next to terrace, open only between 18:00-21:00) Airco in the room is very comfortable (no noise and not too cold). Wonderful breakfast (to make your own vegetable juice and tea, also to cook your own egg). Staff is polite and helpful. We have a pleasant stay in this hotel : )

Room was clean and nice and bathroom to. Had a room towards the inner roof terrace but no noise from the bar. Beautiful breakfast room and good food.

The Cathédral Notre Dame de Strasbourg was no more than 150(est) meters away. The part of the city that is located on the island is walkable. There is tram service if one desires.
I walked from the train station to the hotel and estimate that it was 15 minutes (I walk fairly quickly).
If I return to Strasbourg, I will consider this as my first choice.

Cons: the air conditioner failed at 2am, but staff were quick to replace it with a fan. also, we could not access the property or the parking because police closed off all roads to the old city for an event. It took us 90 minutes of driving to find a parking garage close enough to walk to the hotel. This is an unusual circumstance so kind of hard to blame the hotel for it. The front desk did their best to tell us how to get to a nearby parking garage.

Cons: Hotel was located on pedestrian area and closed for car access at late mid night. It was hard to find the hotel on navigation even!!! Hardly found the hotel... Night shift manager was useless snd helpless when we arrived to the hotel at late mid night 02:30 am. He told us neither there was booking on our name nor room available to offer us. It had been hard to convince him that I had paid booking on my late arrival. In fact We had put as a remark that we would check in late between 02:00 to 03:00 am. I had back to my car to get my mobile and shown him my booking confirmation. Finally got the room at 03:30 am after one hr efforts. I think; either hotel management and booking.com must improve their booking service Or hotel management must change their nihht shift manager and assign someone who is polite and helpful as such person will ruin their reputation... The stuff at reception in the morning was kind and allow us one hr late check out at 01:00 pm instead 12:00.

Pros: The room was large and comfortable, with windows that opened and we had a toilet in a seperate room We were literally above water flowing under our room (Strassburg is known as the Venice of France). There was a computer set up downstairs to access the internet free.
Cons: The breakfast was quite expensive for a meal when you don't actually feel like much to eat (22 Euros per person) so we ate at a cafe literally around the corner from the hotel for a fraction of the price. Wifi in the room was also expensive, so we didn't use our laptop, just the public computer downstairs.

Cons: The designers were more interested in design than in comfort or practicality. The bedlamps are charming but do not cast sufficient light for reading. The mirrors are ludicrous. One cannot see one's face or hair in a triangular mirror. As so often, the shower faces in the wrong direction, spraying out into the room.

Cons: Very difficult to locate as it is on a non- motorised traffic street and the satnav in our nearly new Volvo XC60 was totally useless once we reached the centre of the city. By luck we parked in the correct underground carpark accessed by the tram interchange at the Klber Square And a short walk to the hotel thereafter. The hotel will provide you with a discount ticket for the underground but we were not certain that it worked for us on leaving yesterday morning so remember to ask reception for the discount ticket. We understood that the hotel has its own carparking facility and when we asked about this we were told that it had to be booked at the same time as the room.

Car parking is not located in the hotel but a nearby public parking take 5 mins walk. You can unloaded the luggage before parking your car across the street. Not convenience but I guess hotel in Strasbourg with car parking is rare or expensive. The curtain is not the black out one, the light sleeper should be aware of. Soundproofing is good though.

Pros: The studio was very spacy and everything you need was available. The beds were comfortable and it was very quiet in the hallways. Tram station nearby just in front of the hotel and walking distance (10min) to city centre.
Cons: There was no one at the reception desk on a Monday evening around 17h30. You had to go ring the doorbell outside for someone to appear and help you. We didn't get any information about Strasbourg or the studio, the elevators... When arriving in the studio, there was a chair and night table missing. Also not a lot of electrical spots in the walls. The curtain was blocked so couldn't be closed. There is a parking lot next to the hotel for €10/day but no one informed us.

Cons: Room ice cold at arrival, air conditionning was just working at max or nothing, noises from the ventilation in the building, toilets not working correctly, strange noises in the washstand, the cantine style breakfast without any charme and stuff already cleaning the tables before 10.00 an clients still sitting there. Need to pay without seeing the bill, no details on the bill. This hotel is not worth 4 stars and needs a complete renovation.

Cons: Fridge did not work, shower gel not replenished, no free water provided, the water purchased could not be reseated and it was a large bottle. booked rooms to be located in same corridor as travelling companions this was verified and confirmed by email. No provision was made when we arrived at the property. One companion was on the same floor but other side of property.

Cons: Desperately need of renovation the reception area and the hallways.Had to wait almost half an hour for check in.Not enough toiletries,you have to bring your own. No hairdryer in the room,I had to go to the reception to give me one (they asked for a 20euros deposit which they gave me back at check out).

Cons: I was staying in the most distant room along the corridor. I didn’t get any WiFi in the room, had to use it in the hall only. The room had a terrible smell of food being cooked as it has all the cooking facilities but no exhaust. Despite my keeping the window open at all times, that smell never went away. Also, the room faces directly the railway tracks. Extremely loud noises from passing trains. One had to choose between getting deaf from railway noises or getting suffocated with kitchen smells. Not good experience.

Cons: We did not really enjoy our stay at the city residence centre strasbourg. The whole room was not cleaned up at all except the bed. In the bathroom were hair and dust and dirt all over the floor. The toilet paper holder was broken and the shower wall wasn't closing. The mirror was over and over with water or whatever splashes. All the towels smelled like fish, and this was the only thing that was changed during our stay. The kitchenette was not cleaned up. In the furniture was dust really visible, we can't put our things inside. The water boiler smelled like vinegar. The bed was very old that we rolled all the time in the middle of the bed because there was a real whole in the matrace. We asked after all if we could cancel the breakfast, but the reception told us that isn't possible. They took our breakfast marks and so we payed for breakfast but did not have it.
