Overview Reviews
In the heart of Strasbourg, a stone's throw from the Cathedral, the Cour du Corbeau hotel, a member of the MGallery collection, combines history and modernity. In a setting that dates back to 1528, this 4-star hotel elegantly combines the charm of yesteryear with a more modern feel, giving its 63 rooms a unique identity. Guests are invited to step back in time and follow in the footsteps of Marshall Turenne (1647) or travel incognito like the Prussian King Frederick the Great in 1740
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Walking distance to the cathedral and to La Petite France
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located and great hotel.
Cons: Impossible to drive to - about 20 minute walk from railway station.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Historical setting. Beautiful building, modern interiors, gorgeous breakfast, friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is a best in StrB !
Cons: due to a hotel close by the school so you can find busy noise during the morning but it all good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is perfect in every way. You are on the river, across the bridge and so only steps away from all the major historic sites in Strasburg, but still you are not in an area that is noisy or congested. The hotel itself is built into an historic inn, where a slew of important French personages spent the night, including kings. The Historic elements have been preserved, but the hotel itself is utterly modern and totally luxurious. On top of it, breakfast is divine, although you should know that they don’t have a restaurant for other meals.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming hotel in a storybook city!
Cons: Perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff from the front desk was super nice, and recommended us a delicious local restaurant. We were upgraded to a big room on 2nd floor. The room was well-equipped with coffee machine and other facilities, and the bed was very comfortable to sleep. Hotel arranged a baby cot for our 2-year-old girl, which was sweet and helpful.
Cons: Nothing.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect Staffs are super friendly and helpful Comfy bed and nice room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Central location
Cons: To park the car was a challenge and we ended up in a nearby public car park, which was not a problem but I wish we were guided there in the first place!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is wonderful for strolling in the Cathedral, Petite France, and the quai areas and is convenient for bus and tram access. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The bar and light meal menu is a welcome feature and the food was good. Breakfast selections were varied and quite extensive. Our suite was attractive and charming. The historic renovations capture the feel of the building while modern touches allow the old world beauty to shine.
Cons: The hanging style shower spray requires quite a technique in a lovely tub that was a tad "slippy slidey". Some sort of grippy mat would help.

Pros: The hotel exudes charm. It is probably designed more for adults than to accommodate children. It is tucked away and difficult to reach by auto but worth the effort.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a delightful hotel!! After a bit of a challenge to get to the hotel we were greeted by young men who took charge of our luggage and car. The reception was very professional and kind. Our room overlooked the canal and canal boats traveling through. The room was new and so clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet was delicious with impeccable service. The location was perfect for walking around Strasbourg.
Cons: It was perfect!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and charm
7.1 Good
Pros: location
Cons: some of facility was closed and not because of some emergency, so it should be mention at the time of booking or at least when hotel knew about it. Also for 2 days of our stay nobody came to clean the room, absolutely unacceptable for the pricey high class hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great service; Parking at location; Proximity - walking to everything
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners could not have been more nice or more helpful. The breakfast was excellent and the location is exceptional for everything to see in the area. I will only stay here in the future!
4.6 Okay
Pros: Centrally located but it's small town so not such a big deal
Cons: They claim there are two separate hotels one of which does not have spa facilities - this hotel shows up in free parking and spa filters on booking.com - it's literally a scam. Wifi didn't work in neither of the buildings, staff was made aware but ignored the problem, parking is 40 euro extra per day and only if you book in advance so it's non-existent, for the price there're much better hotels in Strasbourg. Avoid!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice building
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: While I understand that the room has some sort of character, it was VERY dark, facing a construction site and lacking all sorts of comfort.
Cons: - after being told at check in that we were “upgraded” for free to a superior room, we landed in room 209, which is not an accessible room, since you have to take the stairs after taking the elevator. The room was VERY dark to the extent we had to use a flashlight to find stuff in our suitcase. It lacked a proper shower/bathtub and was facing a construction site. - the wifi didn’t work properly. You got kicked out of the network every few minutes and had to reconnect. - the bathroom was FREEZING since the heater didn’t work. - the hotel is 15min walk to the centre and for €170 per night it is a total waste of money. - the staff is unfriendly, uninterested and lacked any kinds of skill to deal with our complaints. Never returning.

Pros: This was the first time that I visited Strasbourg. Without knowing anything about the city, I booked my stay at Hôtel Gutenberg. The location is centrally located The Cathédral Notre Dame de Strasbourg was no more than 150(est) meters away. The part of the city that is located on the island is walkable. If I return to Strasbourg, I will consider this as my first choice.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location great, once we got there. Staff very helpful. Breakfast good.

Pros: The location was great and the staff were somewhat helpful.
Cons: Our room was obviously one that does not get used often. It was in an odd location near some offices and it smelled very musty. There was an odd large beam in the middle of the room and it was actually a real hazard. It was very hot and we were told the air was turned off for the winter so it could not be cooled down.

7.0 Good
Pros: The room was large and comfortable, with windows that opened and we had a toilet in a seperate room We were literally above water flowing under our room (Strassburg is known as the Venice of France). There was a computer set up downstairs to access the internet free.
Cons: The breakfast was quite expensive for a meal when you don't actually feel like much to eat (22 Euros per person) so we ate at a cafe literally around the corner from the hotel for a fraction of the price. Wifi in the room was also expensive, so we didn't use our laptop, just the public computer downstairs.

Pros: I was upgraded to a suite at the 5th floor. Room was big, comfortable and very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Location was also great.
Cons: Bathroom door could not be closed properly. To get to the parking place you need to climb many narrow stairs, carry your luggage in addition is totally bad idea, try to avoid it.
7.1 Good
Pros: Staff, location and cleaness.
Cons: The breakfasts room is much much too small ; the architects who conceived it should once have brakfast there and they would understand ; food & staff are excellent but no room to properly display the food and no room enough for guests to move around and properly seat; more a bistrot than a hotel breakfast room ; sorry. To gain seat some guests have to seat in low hall armchairs ; nice design but a hotel should also be functional.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice for vegetarians. Pleasant staff
7.1 Good
Pros: The location was very convenient to the old town, just a short walk over the bridge.
Cons: The lift wasn't working and we were on the third floor. Travelling by motorcycle meant we had panniers and top box ( very heavy) to carry up 3 flights of stairs.

7.9 Good
Pros: Location. Bed. Breakfast.
Cons: It is impossible to drive there. They need to supply a map. It took us 1.5 hours to locate it. The parking is the other side of a canal - a 10 minute walk away. The reception was rarely staffed - on arrival we had a 10 minute wait.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location. The terrace And the room even my room is small but well arrangement
Cons: Seem nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Size of room was fantastic. Location was only steps away from Notre Dame Cathedral. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Check in/out was a breeze.
Cons: The only somewhat negative was that we had to park in a public lot which was a long way from the hotel so we had to shuffle some items around in our luggage so as to only have 1 bag to drag through the streets to the hotel. But given the layout and age of Strasbourg and location of hotel, it was to be expected and was really not a big issue.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff, particularly Megan, gave us outstanding service. The location is right next to the Cathedral and all the attractions in the historic center. Could not have asked for more. The rooms are small, but as frequent travelers we don’t need a lot of space and basically just sleep in the room. Outstanding value!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location was fantastic - the cathedral square is just outside the hotel and all the lovely old town areas are within easy walking distance (we could see the cathedral from our room window - picture attached). The staff were wonderfully helpful, providing us with excellent suggestions for eating out while we were in Strasbourg. The buffet breakfast was very fresh and offered a good range of tasty items. The building had all the charm of a lovely historic building but the bathroom was completely modern with excellent plumbing (not at all often the case with old buildings!). The room was extremely tight, with very little space indeed to move around in it, but it managed to squeeze a surprising amount of storage space into it, at least for a couple of nights. All in all it was a really lovely place to stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: EVERYTHING. This hotel is superb. We can’t wait to return. Thank you to all Hotel Suisse staff.
Cons: Absolutely nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful and assisted me in a time-sensitive problem by offering their own solution. Breakfast was good, location and room view were superb.
Cons: The room was much smaller than I had expected. In fact, it's the smallest room I've ever had. I have no idea what the other rooms look like, this was a single room, but still.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms extremely small. I had to take a junior suite
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Exellent breakfast including freshly squeezed orange juice.
5.3 Okay
Pros: It is designed beautifuly. Good location
Cons: Room too small. No place for suitcases. Thin blanket not acording to weather, we slept with our coats. Shower too small, got all wet. Needs a curtain on bath.
6.7 Good
Pros: The location was perfect and Hotel Suisse is a nice hotel, very good value for money.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location was very good to central downtown activities.
6.0 Good
Pros: Hotel is very central located, close to main city attractions, easy to shops restaurants and the river, you can even find underground parking only few minutes away. Main receptionist spoke many languages, night staff was very helpful, generally hotel has a very good friendly atmosphere.
Cons: Only thing is that the bed in our bedroom was a bit short and small. if you are more then 6.2 foot (1.89 m) tall, you might find it uncomfortable.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is very well located, nicely and romantically designed, and the staff is friendly. The only problem we had was that the romance somehow detracts from confort: there is an elevator, but guests have yet to climb a few stepts up and down, and the rooms are small.

Pros: Nice breakfast, phantastic atmospehere, I loved the parc, very friendly staff. A bit remote but it only adds to its charme.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It is a small hotel with a relaxed feel.
Cons: Nothing really.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It's a wonderful choice for people who want unusual, quiet location (castle is located in the middle of beautiful old park). If I visit S. again I will choose the same accommodation. And Blackie the resident tomcat who likes to play made it extra special!
Cons: At the beginning I was unpleasantly surprised how far it is from the city center (about 4 miles). However, once you get oriented, it is very easy to get to the center by very affordable public transportation. You can even walk, it's pleasant enough.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's an amazing place , best hotel in our trip ...hope to return
Cons: It's Amazing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location. The friendliness of the staff. The quiet surroundings. Everything in fact. We hired bikes and cycled into Strasbourg, which was easy. We also used the park and ride with the tram which was less strenuous and cheap at 4euros 20 for the two of us for all day.
Cons: Nothing! Just could they be careful with sesame seed labelling on the bread for severe allergy sufferers like me.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing ,the staff were excellent, very friendly & informative,we were travelling to Switzerland & enjoyed our stay so much we re booked for our return journey.
Cons: Can’t really think of anything we weren’t happy with
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was like a dream! A little castle and a chalet in the middle of the woods right outside Strasbourg. The best place we've ever been to! We felt like royalty! It was amazing. Even for 2 days!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast in a beautifull room . Also possibilty for having breakfast outside. Self service but anything but simple. Nice egg cooking service(!) Free coffee, tea all day in the nearby lounge.
Cons: Maybe better driving instructions to the reception is the only thing that I can come up with.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Its a castle with lovely grounds a great Spa room and lovely staff
Cons: Slightly on the high side in terms of cost
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was far from the inner city, in the forest, silent and fresh air. There was big garden around the castle full of trees and flowers. The castle is old, completely renewed and very nice. The bed was really comfortable. There was a small restaurant outside at the big gate, which is cheap and the food is delicious.

Pros: Comfortable room, wonderful jacuzzi bath, free coffee machine, very friendly staff, parrot!!
Cons: Nothing much at all - maybe better shower provisions (shampoo and conditioner)?
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff members at Hotel Beaucour were so helpful and friendly and were happy to give us recommendations. We stayed in a Family Room which was very spacious and had little touches in the bathroom that were like staying in a luxury hotel. But best of all, the location of this hotel is fantastic. Highly recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, very nice room, good facilities, very good breakfast, honesty bar, parrot!
6.3 Good
Pros: In central Strasbourg. Everything within walking distance. Asked to change room and staff were very accommodating. New room much better.
Cons: Room overlooked street. There were deliveries from 3am which meant it was extremely noisy and made it very difficult to sleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this hotel. The location is excellent. The hotel is really quirky and I loved the decor. The staff were very helpful and friendly. If we return to Strasbourg we would definitely book this hotel again.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location!
Cons: The charge for breakfast (which they made seem like it was included) was exorbitant and it was not appealing at all. If we’d known they were charging 16 Euros per person for that breakfast, we would have certainly skipped it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been to. My family and myself were really happy. Parking is just across the road. Hotel is literally few yards from the city centre. Will be coming again next year for sure
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, parking nearby in secure Carpark. Easy check in
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great boutique hotel in perfect location in Strasbourg. We loved the décor in the room, as well as the fact the toilet/shower were separated - made traveling with two couple easier.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The courtyard entrance was charming and the room was good size with everything provided. Plus the parking garage was across the road.

7.4 Good
Pros: The Room was great, and the location was great as well
Cons: The restaurant is way over price... specially the breakfast was way to expensive decided to cancelled because its like a cheap continental breakfast buffet but you are paying for 18-20 euros I could have something way better
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location for the city. Loved the Spa pool. Nice bar area for nightcap
10.0 Excellent
Pros: No breakfast purchased and location was great. Very near the tram into the city centre.
Cons: Had problems with the air conditioning unit with our room as it wasn't cooling down. Staff allowed us to moved to another room with a working air conditioning unit however we left the setting as is because we feared we might lose the coolness. Otherwise room temperature was acceptable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: best location in Strasbourg. If you go for work/business you can benefit of the SPA in the evening and the bar in the reception. Not far from the old city (12 euros with uber) ... love it. And the girls are alwys smiling and willing to help! I’ll be back soon!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The spa and wellness center was wonderful, and they went to the trouble to fold swan towels for us because I asked for something romantic. The bed was amazing!
Cons: The ladies at check in and check out seemed a bit lost and we're rushing a bit. At check in the lady forgot to add the wellness part to the card, but that was solved with no issue

Pros: I believe I have already reviewed this hotel but am doing so again because we had such a pleasant stay. The staff here is wonderful and ensures that one has a grand time while in Strasbourg. A family operation that brings great credit to Best Western!
Cons: Nothing negative. Hotel public areas are filled with thoughtfully collected antiques & collectibles. Beautiful boiserie in the Salon. Hot pretzels at the desk. Private & secure parking. Modern rooms in an atmosphere of old world charm! Kudos to all!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Personal. Responsive, quick, helpful.
Cons: Cannot remember)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff extremely helpful
8.8 Excellent
Pros: comfortable clean, very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: The duvet was much too warm, but removing it left me too cold. Need layers of blankets in place of duvet.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was excellent. The breakfast expensive and disappointing. We arrived over an hour before it was to close and the breakfast meat (bacon) was gone, and not replaced. The eggs (what was left) were hardened to the bottom and not edible. These were replaced as we left approximately 10 minutes before breakfast closing time.
Cons: See above

Maison Rouge - Strasbourg - Building

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Planning an event in Strasbourg? This hotel features 614 square feet (57 square meters) of event facilities.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect. The bedding and towels/robes were very plush.
Cons: When we arrived we were given a room on the 2nd floor. Once we had unpacked and settled we realized there was loud construction going on in the rooms adjoining ours. After bringing it up to the reception woman she offered us a room on a higher floor that had, for the most part, been refurbished. The room was much nicer and definitely quieter. The whole lighting system in the room is based on motion detection and although I was shown how to operate it we never did get it right... meaning all the lights in the room would come on when one of us got up to use that bathroom in the night. Not at all user friendly!
9.0 Excellent
Cons: Builders working above my room. Using jackhammers and making trrrible noise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, professional staff, very clean room & bathroom, Room & bathroom were tight but this is quite typical. Excellent location in center of old part of city near pedestrian streets. Public parking nearby was not overpriced.
Cons: Shabby carpet in room.
4.6 Okay
Cons: nearby renovated the next room there was a terrible noise
8.3 Excellent
Pros: the Clarins products in bathroom...
Cons: the shower, with several taps for various outlets it was very difficult for a person reliant on spectacles to work out which tap operated which shower head and temperature of water. Also the door to bath/shower was hinged so it opened outwards, when you pushed it open it was difficult to get out of tub as the toilet was situated too close to the glass panel. I am of average build and weight, early 70s.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location.
Cons: Despite booking two rooms, and being charged for both... Since it was just my wife and I, they would only give us one room. This was fine since we didn't need the second room, but you certainly can't bill a customer for something they did not receive. Either, adjust the charge or give me my second room! The front desk clerk said he would talk to management since it was a non-refundable booking and get the charge adjusted. This never happened. In the end, I paid for a second room that I wasn't given, despite their promises otherwise. Very shady hotel, do not book.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We booked a room for three people and got a great renovated room with 3 balconies. The hotel is located in the center of the city therefore all sites are very close. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: The need to use the city underground parking (if you are travelling by car). Very sophisticated lighting system in the room.
7.1 Good
Cons: 1st floor seems to have all the not refurbished rooms - mother in 5th floor had excellent room refurbished
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The size of the room, the quality of facilities, friendliness of staff and value for money
Cons: No laundry services offered on the weekends
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous place, love the window opening onto a balcony
Cons: You will need to catch a cab as you cannot drive to the hotel, rooms beautiful but a bit too warm
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very well located with comfortable rooms. Staff was very friendly always willing to help. I’d definitely stay here again!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Central position, ideal for walking to the main tourist attractions an restaurants. Close to the shops. Very nicely decorated in the main public areas and the staircase has beautiful glass motifs on each floor along with very attractive ceilings and furnishings on each lobby. The lounge is very nicely set out and we were impressed by the decor throughout. Nice touch is the loan of the hotel umbrellas by the main door if it's raining.
Cons: Very difficult to locate as it is on a non- motorised traffic street and the satnav in our nearly new Volvo XC60 was totally useless once we reached the centre of the city. By luck we parked in the correct underground carpark accessed by the tram interchange at the Klber Square And a short walk to the hotel thereafter. The hotel will provide you with a discount ticket for the underground but we were not certain that it worked for us on leaving yesterday morning so remember to ask reception for the discount ticket. We understood that the hotel has its own carparking facility and when we asked about this we were told that it had to be booked at the same time as the room.

5.4 Okay
Pros: It existed and provided value for money food
Cons: The smell of sewage in the room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The Location is perfect if you want to walk in the city centre. It was very quiet and the staff was super friendly.
Cons: There are not so much park slots so maybe you have to park your car in the next garage from the city, which is only 5 minutes away, by the way.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The location was great, especially considering the price.
Cons: The room was dirty, especially the bathroom. The bathroom smelled of urine, and had clearly not been washed properly (dust and grime accumulated everywhere).
6.3 Good
Pros: The location was fabulous
Cons: The bathroom was very small
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location friendly staff good food
6.7 Good

Pros: Great staff, helpful with directions. Good breakfast at 10.50 Euro. Parking available for a fee, great location for sightseeing. Good buffet dinner if you make an early reservation
Cons: Restaurant was very busy. Book early in the day if you want to eat there. Good food, reasonable price

Pros: The glass of wine at lunch.
Cons: Poor ventilation in the room.
Overview Reviews
With a stay at City Residence Strasbourg Centre, you'll be centrally located in Strasbourg, within a 5-minute drive of Tomi Ungerer Museum and Covered Bridge. Featured amenities include laundry facilities and an elevator. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Cleanliness and the pictures online did not match at all what the rooms were actually like. Also they say it is a 10 min walk to town center. It was more like 20-25 min.
6.7 Good
Pros: The reception staff are great and the room was really clean.
Cons: I stayed on the second floor, while the room was very very clean it was just hard to get any sleep due to a major road right outside the hotel. It is a very busy road and is so close you can hear cars, busses and motorcycles either taking off due to a traffic light right outside the hotel or worse hear the traffic zoom past to beat the light. A wee bit of sound proofing will def help.
5.4 Okay
Cons: Elevator broken. Noisy rooms: due to the lack of carpets (only hard floors and not well-insulated doors) one can hear people’s steps and voices coming home until late at night. Chaotic reception team: doesn’t know which of its own parking numbers are in area A or B. Hands out room key for an already occupied room. Bed: kind of worn out mattress.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Big room. In room coffee Clothes dryer Good breakfast Nice helpful staff
Cons: 1) No receiving parking area. Got ticket! 2) Elevator not working. 3) First assigned parking space already taken so had to move. 4) cold shower 5) first request- toilet paper for the room 6). Second request- hair dryer damage deposit required 7) third request- a remote control for the tv that was in working order.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It's in a more accessible environment
Cons: Since it's an apartment, the rooms are clean once in a week or you pay 20 euros everytime you need the service.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good location (if not to count the railroad). Comfortable bed. Calm at night.
Cons: Dilapidated infrastructure (shower cabin could not close completely, walls a bit dirty, no proper cabinet for clothing ). No cleaning service (only for additional money). No laundry. For an iron or hair dresser they ask you to leave 20 euro deposit. Nevertheless it did not prevent the situation when all irons were taken in the morning by other rooms and I couldn't iron my shirt before going to work. Thankfully they found an iron for me in the other wing of this hotel, but I had to walk there myself. Also i didn't like the fact that they ask you to pay for entire stay on check in (and they also block the full amount of your stay on your credit card as a guarantee, while normally hotels block a one night stay price). Also the window faces the railroad. Although I must admit it wasn't too noisy.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Cost value. Location. Parking facilities.
Cons: Shower was not working properly. Receptionist entered room without permission.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: I dont recommend this hotel !
7.5 Good
Cons: Sound insulation could be better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Laundry room. Great spot in Strasbourg.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cooking facilities, size of room, tea and coffee and value for money The city was an excellent for breaks, clean city, friendly people, historical buildings and the Cathedral
Cons: Despite having paid in full on booking, I had to pay again on arrival, saying that in two weeks time refund would be made. The first payment was only just for securing room, that I did not understand. it was not just pre authorisation, the first payment was debited two month ago from my account. Please be requested to review the payment system.
