Pros: We like everything. We were very well received. We felt being awaited and expected. The room was carefully prepared to receive us. Every time we left the room upon return it was again tidy. Every day there was a little present in the room. The pool is beautiful as is the whole hotel. The manager Sophia and or other always solicitous and smiling employees. I'll be back again.

Pros: Very friendly service, good location, cozy atmosphere of a small hotel. The room was very clean. The pool area was nice, too. Various coupons (free snack pack to take to a temple tour, free lunch and dinner, and massage) are a plus. A driver we arranged through the hotel to go to temple tours was speaking very good English and a comfortable car. Sophia was exceptionally helpful. Very good balance between the quality and the cost.

Pros: We loved our stay at Golden Temple, we were there for our 10 year anniversary and all the personnel there were so lovely, helpful and accommodating. There was a lovely turn down service each night and they assisted in booking our meal reservations each night. Thank you for such a memorable time.

Cons: There is a beautiful swimming pool. However I was slightly disrupted by the strong smell that most likely came from the pool towels. It almost made me « sick » They probably asked the laundry service to add « perfume » not a good idea at all. Far Too strong

Cons: At the restaurant, we ordered a "fresh" pineapple juice as we enjoy fresh fruits juice in Asia, but they served a pineapple juice from a box without telling us that they are out of fresh juice, which was disappointing. A bathroom was a bit small.

Pros: The design of the hotel. The blend of nature and the modern architecture provided a balanced mix that felt homey and welcoming, but above all the Cambodian essence and culture still remained within, from the staff to the food to the art work.
As for experience, fantastic! this magnificent staff allowed us to thoroughly enjoy, exploring the Angkor temples as well as the hotel itself, from booking our bikes to handing out refreshing towels after a long sweaty day. Great, hospitable staff. Always friendly and very helpful to ensure your stay is the best.

Pros: Size of the room, English TV stations, location, staff friendly and helpful. One employee, Lab Locuy, was our waiter our first night there and every time we were in the dining room he would greet us and ask how our day was. He did this even when he was not our waiter. He was always friendly, courteous, and helpful.

Pros: My favourite hotel....ever Everything about it was perfect. We stayed in a gorgeous room overlooking the pool (116) . The garden area around the pool provides shade and privacy for the rooms but you can still glimpse the pool through the greenery The hotel has such a lovely ambience , the design is colonial and the fresh flowers, gentle background music and ever smiling, helpful staff just make it perfect The food is excellent ( highly recommend the prawn and pomelo salad) and in the evening there is live gentle music and the fairy lights in the trees lend a romantic feel We didn’t want to leave but unfortunately couldn’t extend our stay as it was fully booked I will come back to Cambodia, just for this hotel . Every single member of staff deserves a mention but I only managed to get a couple of names so special thanks to: Som Molika Louey Captain Risa Chhouem Chankiry Rausmey Thank you for a wonderful stay Alison

The hotel even arranges to collect you from the airport foc. And the best fresh food I've had. It's my second stop here and will definitely be going back.

Cons: The hotel is too big, you feel like at the shopping mall or at the international airport, not well organized and that's why poorly maintained. The staff is very educated and kind but also not well organized as there are definitely too many guests to manage and the atmosphere is a bit chaotic. The hotel is not clean enough, you can see some small details oversight, for example, the door of the elevator or windows are dirty, obviously because the building is huge and difficult to maintain but it has a big impact on my overall opinion as a guest. I would pay more attention to these details.

They arranged a driver for the day, they arranged a massage, they suggested dinner spots. Breakfast buffet included. They spoke perfect English. The copious lush wood in the lobby together with tasteful decoration was on par with any western 5 star hotel. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. The value for money is unparalleled. Great spot for couples or family. Just go.

Pros: A bit confusing as hotel and resort are next to each other, but not connected, and certain facilities are located in the other/hotel building and require kind of a long walk outside. The location is good for trips to Angkor Wat and other sights as it is right on one of the main roads, but very quiet sicne there is not a lot of traffic at night. The rooms are reasonable big and the bathrooms are nice and spacious. Be aware: 1 large double bed can mean 2 single beds, although big by themselves, pushed together. That was a bit weird but doable. Unfortunately. teh beds were not too comfortable. There are 2 restaurants on site open for dinner, one steak house which looks fancy (and prices are accordingly), and another restaurant which was "sold" to us as fine dining traditional Khmer restaurant. The food was very expensive, and, unfortunately, the quality and quantity was not great and it was unfortunately not at all worth the visit nor the money spent. The staff however was excellent and made up for some of the food disappointment, but at the end of the day, the food in restaurant should be good. Overall, the staff was ok, but, except for one lady, not to keen or would not go out of their way to assist. We booked a car from the hotel and they provided kind of an old car but with an excellent driver who spoke good English, knew very good restaurants and drove very safely. A Spa is available and we went for a 90 minute deep tissue massage which was excellent. The Hotel has Tuk-tuks on hand which can drop you within Siem Rep and in some cases also pick you up again after a certain time (or, probably, if you call) at reasonable prices.

It was very expensive and we didn't want to really eat there but had no other choice. The following night we went to the 1st floor restaurant and we were told there only was a buffet. Cons: Not really a resort as all facilites (pool, spa, 3 out of 4 restaurants) are located in the "Hotel" building which required Resrt gutests to leave teh Resort building and walk outside over to the Hotel building. The staff, with few exceptions, is not very eager to please and as guest you sometimes feel you are disturbing them, especially if you have more than 1 question. As this was our 1st time in Cambodia, we had lots of questions, and the helpfulness seemed to reduce with every question For each trip with the car, we were supoposed to sign a receipt. One day, even though I asked, they said, sign it later and in all honesty, I also forgot about it. Upon check-out, they presented us this bill saying we have to pay double for this particular day since we went very far (true) and booked another package (not true) and now have to pay double for this. My mistake, I should have checked this before but the way the staff handled this felt very uncomfortable and I felt bullied into accepting this here and now without any discussion or further explanation. I refuesed and after some discussion, the manager finally explained the situation, which settled the matter. Breakfast is not great, very small selction and apart form frewh fruits and live egg station neithe ra great selection or a good quality. The breakfast room was infested with mosquitoes, and not a swatter or electric moquito trap in sight, so make sur eto bring a good mosquito repellent for breakfast.

But what really stands out are the STAFF - efficient, helpful and with genuine warmth. The big smiles and good byes from two housekeepers who stuck their heads out of different rooms as I trundled down the corridor with cheery good byes and have a safe journey...almost reduced me to tears! The big hotels are not usually my thing - but this excelled in a genuine way! Well done to the management!

Pros: Excellent hotel, in colonial style. A lot of attention to detail. Super-nice large rooms with nice furniture and all the amenities. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and makes everything possible, including trip arrangements, guides, etc. The place is very clean and food and drinks are very good. Pool and Spa area are also excellent. The best is the value for money: we paid about 100 USD for one night, including breakfast and a 15-min foot massage in the SPA. Amazing.

Cons: This is Could be a 5 star property, but it need a good cleaning. The bathtub in my room was heavily stained and discolored. The floor looked as though it could use a good scrubbing. The concierge service is terrible. I paid for a full day (8 hour tour) with a guide and driver. I was brought back to the hotel 3.5 hours later... When I told them that they only provided me with a half day tour, they giggled. I would highly recommend using one of the many off property services. Or, just go out the gate and get a tuk-tuk (5 bucks to Angkor Wat) and hire one of the many tour guides standing in front of the entrance (7 dollars for a full walking tour). The final price you pay shoul be about 1/3rd of what the guide asks for.

Cons: The noise of repair work around the pool started early morning and did not stop until nightfall. The roommaids need to get more training, ie; cleaning the room better, not leaving anything behind and understanding that TWO persons in a room need TWO shower caps. We had to ask for a second one several times. Also, the command of English of their staff is below international standards.
Generally their prices for food and beverages are outrageously high. Better to eat downtown at Pub Street.

Pros: The perfect place to come back to after a busy day at the temples, to enjoy the pool. Loved that the pool was big enough to do proper lengths in, as long as it wasn't too busy. Got an amazing nights sleep here and always looked forward to coming back to the hotel and its friendly staff

Pros: The best thing going for this hotel is the pool.
Cons: This hotel, the part we stayed at and not to be confused with its boutique side which we did not stay at, is geared towards mass tourist groups, of which there are many in Siam Reap. As such, they bring them in, house them in dated rooms, feed them an ok breakfast, and then ship them out on their respective buses. For a better experience, especially if you are family, I would look for a more boutiquey hotel that would take greater care of an individual family. Also, there was a strange incident where I mysteriously lost my key card and the hotel front desk staff tried to collect $20 to reprogram a new keycard (really?!?!?) and then when I pressed on the issue on check out returned my cash money, which was in an envelope that appeared to be for tips. The front desk staff then told me that had it been her or him they would not have collected the monies in the first place. Huh??? It would just be better to not nickel and dime your customers in the first place. Just left a slightly strange taste in my mouth and affected the tip we left at the end.

Pros: The staff is outstanding--one of the best I've ever encountered. All of them couldn't have been more helpful. Rooms are comfortable. Pool is delightful. Overall, a very good stay and an excellent value.
Cons: Wifi is way, way too slow. I'm talking sometimes 607 kb/sec. It was frustrating to wait and to sit close to the door to get a better signal. The lobby was only marginally better.

Pros: This hotel is amazing! Right in the center of town within walking distance of Pub Street if you are into that or nice and quiet when you want to relax after a day at the temples. The homemade yogurt and fresh coffee at breakfast are to die for and the Chicken seasoned with Khmer spices and Jasmine rice is a hit any time. Sun Soklin at the front desk will make sure you can see and do exactly what you want to do. Just outside the front door Mr. Makara is the best tuk tuk driver ever! The New Year's Gala event they threw was simply out of this world. I would certainly stay here again and again!

Pros: The location was excellent and since it was a a bit on the inside, it was quiet. The staff were excellent and we were grateful to get our room early. It was walking distance to Pub street and a few other restaurants close to the river. A shoe cleaner at the entrance is a brilliant idea to help clean shoes that get dusty/sandy after the temple visits. The pool is salt water and helps ease the aches after the temple tours. Breakfast was good too.

Cons: We couldn’t use the fabulous pool because there was a NYE function, but we were not told this prior to paying our money and only finding out when we went to use it. Luckily we were so disappointed we were allowed to use for an hour or so while they were getting it ready for the evening function. But no lounges and we could only use a short time. The window blinds in the room did not work well.

Pros: All the staff were very attentive and welcoming. They kindly upgraded our room as it was our Honeymoon. The location was great for us as it was central to most things. We didn’t see the attraction of staying in a big ‘out of town’ hotel complex where you’re stuck with their restaurant. This ticked the box. I’d also like to say they were very helpful when it came to booking excursions and tuk-tuks for us. We had the same driver most days and he was very friendly and a very safe and polite driver!

Hotel provided free transfer from the airport and arranged tuk-tuk to Angkor. On the check-out date, late check-out was not available as the hotel was fully booked, but I was allowed to use the swimming pool, restaurant, wifi and store by bags until departure at 7 pm. The restaurant at the hotel is more expensive than outside, but portions are bigger and better and you can get a draft beer for $0.75.

Cons: Firstly, the bed was punishingly hard. My wife lives with chronic pain and it wasn’t a pleasant 5 night stay for her at all. The pillows too were hard and thick. Secondly, the WiFi was incredibly frustrating. Intermittent (went off for hours at a time) and weak signal on the 2nd floor of the hotel. Stronger by the (freezing cold) pool. And lastly, the food. We ate an evening meal once at the hotel and didn’t repeat it. It was expensive and uninspired. No choice for vegetarians either. We ended up eating at Currywalla most nights. (Highly recommended!) Also, the breakfast fruit juice isn’t fruit juice. The apple tasted like some American style sugary cordial and the orange juice was some form of squash. The bacon had cauliflower in with it (very odd). My wife came away from the hotel with a very very poorly stomach. Not sure if it was the hotel food or not so who knows.
