Pavillon de Beauregard - Aix-en-Provence - Bathroom
1
9.6 Excellent (155 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is tricky to find but well worth the effort. Very tastefully decorated and furnished with lovely pool and views of the city. The whole place is utterly charming and the host is friendly and very kind. It is not far from the centre of town but feels like you are staying in the country. The owner very kindly dropped us off in town in the evening and we found it easy to get back by taxi after dinner. Breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.
Cons: Only stayed 1 night and did not want to leave.
7.9 Good
Pros: Fantastic view! Wonderful memory of having barbecue near the swimming pool. Very warm welcome by grandma, the host Jerome, and his two lovely son, with wonderful piece of piano. Perfect!
7.0 Good
Pros: The pool facilities were our favourite part. From the pool and breakfast area we enjoyed lovely sunsets looking out over the region with a glass of rose. Our room was spacious and had a private balcony which we liked.
Cons: No internet in our room or TV/speaker option available. No air-conditioning which was ok for us as it wasn't too hot at the time. The breakfast was basic and the same everyday. On the first day we were asked if we would like anything else. Fruit, bread and jam were already on the table but we weren't aware of what our other options were so we felt a bit awkward. I would have liked a little list of what was on offer if they weren't wanting to lay alternative options out. A cooked breakfast would have been nice for one of the mornings. In our room we had tea but no milk, I went to ask but the lovely lady couldn't understand me unfortunately. We had a nespresso machine as well but no coffee pods. We are a young and active group so didn't mind the location (it was very peaceful) but did feel it was a little far from town for walking. Plenty of parking buildings around 10mins drive away and close to the main streets. A combination of these elements put it on the expensive side but otherwise we had an enjoyable stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful surroundings and accommodation that blew us away ! Was a country retreat just a stones throw away from a vibrant city. Pool with the most breathtaking view, we can’t wait to come back! Hosts were welcoming and friendly and outstanding breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had wonderful time, Jerome is a great host and we felt like home most of the time. The pool is perfect for the hot weather and the location is great (further away from the city center but very quite and peaceful). We loved everything about our stay. The breakfast was very tasteful, big selection of pastries and we could have anything extra if we wanted. We would definately recommend this to everyone.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous old mansion beautifully restored. Host went out of his way to accommodate our needs
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Jerome was amazing, as was the room and the property. The view from our Juliet balcony of the countryside was breathtaking. Breakfast every morning was delightful. Jerome was also very accommodating with a ride into town as well as restaurant recommendations. We'd definitely stay there again.
Cons: The shower was a classic, hand-held nossile inside a beautiful cast-iron tub. Like most showers in Europe, it was difficult for we spoiled Americans. More beautiful than functional. We're nitpicking here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was just perfect. The host Jerome and his family were very friendly and helpful. My wife and I loved the peaceful site with no noise. This is the place we were looking for and we felt all the time like home.
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beautiful view, the pool, the room—everything

Cons: N/A
7.9 Good
Pros: This hotel was not as big as I expected, but it was enough comfortable and the location is really strategic in the old town. Charline was also helpful.
Cons: Only suited for couples. I booked two rooms, and the second room was for our two sons. They didn't feel that the room suited them because the bathroom was open.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, extremely attentive staff (Antoine and Augustin), very clean, excellent breakfast, very comfortable room.
Cons: I have nothing negative to say
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at the hotel for one night on our visit to Aix-en-Provence, the hotel is lovely, homely and warm! This is a hotel of only a few rooms, with a personal attitude and exceptional service. Welcome us a guy named *Antoine* who was just adorable! Helped us whenever we asked and gave recommendations on the city. Throughout the stay he endeavored to make our stay pleasant and answered all our requests. The hotel has a communal kitchen floor where you can indulge in coffee, wine and fresh bakery products at no extra charge. The rooms are charming, cozy and clean and decorated in a great French style with bright colors and vintage details. Although we did not pay for breakfast, we were surprised to find that the hotel indulges its guests with an amazing meal, which includes boutique cheeses, freshly squeezed juice, delicious coffee and fresh pastries. ! It was just perfect
Cons: All great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything in the hotel was beyond my expectations! The concierge was phenomenal! I would rate this Hotel al five star! Everything in it was just beautiful! Location is fabulous!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. Walking distance to all the best restaurants, shopping and museums in Aix. Amazing concierge (Antoine). He was so helpful with travel planning, recommendations and reservations. I will absolutely stay here again when I return to Aix!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property was beautiful and in a great location - walking distance to everything you need in Aix. Antoine the concierge was very helpful and always willing to give suggestions or book things for you. The bed was to die for - so comfortable.
Cons: The check in process was not great as we arrived later in the evening after hours. We didn’t know how to enter, and just happened to run into other guests who gave us a number to call. I would recommend getting clear instructions prior to arrival or arriving during the day where I’m sure Antoine would be very helpful.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful 4 bedroom hideaway though located a few steps away from the heart of the city. Excellent service and stunning property full of charm Great breakfast
Cons: Nothing
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: We were very disappointed as we had read previous reviews and were looking forward to staying in a ‘romantic’ hotel, but on entering our room, there was no ‘romance’ in the room at all, only half dead flowers, bare walls, cheap toilet rolls, lack of hooks or rails for towels and dressing gowns, a bottle of water with no bottle opener, no pen although there was stationery and an awful smell when the shower was used! Neither of us slept well, breakfast was basic with a half cooked boiled egg. So, needless to say we will not be returning and will be staying in another hotel close by.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Antoine was the perfect host manager.
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: My girlfriend and I stayed here to go to a wedding and the staff were amazing! They dropped us off and arranged transport back, recommended various restaurants around the area. The hotel is superb. Can’t wait to come back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is fabulous. Whether it is dining for breakfast under the trees in the morning with a great selection for breakfast and perfectly prepared cappuccino or if you want to be poolside with cocktails, everything is wonderful. A few “good to knows”: breakfast is extra but gre at, and no food is served poolside, only cocktails. Also, this is a huge hiking and biking area so plan to experience both if possible between your wine tours and other excursions. Also, go to the local town and watch the French bowling and sip a cocktail at the local bar. Also, the concierge service was top notch!! They really cared for you. Great value for the price!
Cons: Everything was perfect
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Quite and peaceful
Cons: The AC wasn’t working and they weren’t able to solve the problem till the next day, Room wasn’t ready till 5 pm. But overall I liked the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing staff and a very relaxing place to stay. Pool is lovely and the views are great! Close to town but didn’t want to leave the hotel!
Cons: Lunch menu a bit limited but staff were accommodating with other menu items
5.4 Okay
Pros: Quiet location that relied upon the shuttle bus for access to Aix.
Cons: Hotel clearly designed by an architect without an understanding of how a hotel should function and presumably little or no input from a hotelier. Stupid bathrooms, overall dark and lifeless ambience, badly sited swimming pool etc. Staff were the only saving grace, stiving to compensate for the buiding's inherent negativity.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Top and on top of everything Excellent staff Relax&zen
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely grounds. A great swimming pool. The staff were very helpful. The gastronomic restaurant was excellent.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff, room, facilities
Cons: Gate access
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are amazingly comfortable. The details everywhere are wonderful. Fresh flowers everywhere you look. Each door has a different little painting above the room number. The restaurant is great. The restaurant staff is the most professional I have ever seen. They really take pride in what they do. The breakfast buffet is great. Sitting out there eating breakfast in the morning is so wonderful, you may never want to leave.
Cons: Lighting in the bathroom could be improved for putting on makeup.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I loved my stay at this beautiful hotel in Provence. The staff was incredibly kind, helpful and extremely professional. I felt so taken care of throughout my stay. The property is gorgeous and so tastefully decorated. It's like a little oasis just outside Aix. I loved the pool-area as well as the terrace for breakfast. I would love to come back in the future as I really enjoyed my stay at this gorgeous property.
Cons: The only thing was perhaps the food... I found the breakfast buffet to be incredibly small for the type of place/price you're paying at this hotel. They could have definitely had a bigger and more diverse breakfast spread. The coffee was also really bad (but most hotels don't have great coffee unfortunately...). The pool menu as well as the room service menu were incredibly small as well and there was not a lot of variety, which makes it hard to stay in at the hotel even though you would like to since it's so beautiful and charming. They do have a proper restaurant at the hotel but sometimes you just want to eat something in your room and I wish there was a bigger menu for these occasions. It would also have been nice with a shuttle service to go into the city centre. I stayed at another 5 star property near Aix in the past, who offered this, which I thought was very clever (even though it's not a particularly long walk). But overall I loved my stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Comfort and courtesy
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: One lady(short hair, a little oldish) working at the terrace restaurant was rude and not nice.
7.9 Good
Pros: The convenient location, at the edge of the old town; the unique character of the buiiding and garden, with its collection of statues; the setting and quality of food in the restaurant; friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Some aspects not up to five-star standards - e.g. afternoon tea service left overnight on room patio; chipped tea cups, used towels on display around pool overlooked by dining area in evening; massage service in spa not available Sunday/Monday (not mentioned in advertising), Charging for every small thing, despite very expensive room charge. Not value for money.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The building has historical atmosphere but perfectly maintained. The room is clean and comfortable.
Cons: Nothing!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Glorious property and gardens in a wonderful location - an easy walk into Aix ( or take the hotel shuttle). Reception staff were lovely.
Cons: Our room smelled rather damp (and clearly had had a leak in the past). One day our room was not made up until late afternoon despite our « please make up the room » sign.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The ambience and garden
Cons: The elevator was in terrible state and we needed to use it every day as we were with a baby
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful Rooms. Very quiet but very lively on the beach. Service was excellent
Cons: Fitness center is not really a fitness center and machines were old. Spin bike broken.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Loved the gardens and the distance from Town. Loved the friendly staff so un French!
Cons: The whole place needs a complete makeover. It is worn tired and in need of re decoration. I had to be moved as my room stunk of smoke. The decor like a motel and everything was so very tired even the pool had chips of paint missing everywhere.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant in the hotel is excellent
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely garden. Good staff Great food Complimentary shuttle to downtown Quality in bathroom amenities
Cons: İt was not well informed that there is no courtesy shuttle between the hotel and airport. Some same rooms seem to be renovated. We would like to be informed about that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A true
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We found the staff extremely helpful and courteous and were very happy to answer all our queries. They also were happy to let me practice my french! The garden and outside eating areas are very attractive .
Cons: Nothing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: My husband and myself came for our 15 year wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful check in experience, and the grounds of the hotel were amazing. We had a bit of a problem with the room, but happy to say the staff (especially Anthony, I believe the managers name was) was absolutely accommodating and fixed it and rectified the problem for us to our complete satisfaction. I enjoyed the bar outside, as well as the pool. The grounds were spectacular. I would absolutely recommend it to friends.. (infact I already have !)
Cons: Did not like the doves in the cage in the garden. I know they were well treated with lots of food and water, however It made us very sad to see them caged like this without at minimum a full flight cage.
7.1 Good
Pros: I loved the gardens. And the staff and the bar and front desk were terrific.
Cons: My room was never cleaned before 4 or 5 pm. It was very difficult to relax after a long day because I then had to wait for my room to be cleaned. I never could get enough shower gel. Plus my last night I stayed one of the quest had a dog in their room that barked until 11 pm. I only took breakfast one day because the guests were smoking and it was not an enjoyable experience.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere at reception and in the lobby was nice- welcoming juice, candies, pamphlets and maps were helpful. We could have used more information about the recycling process as to what goes where in the bins.
Cons: N/A
4.6 Okay
Pros: It was clean but a strong cloying medicinal deodorizer type smell. Room very spacious.
Cons: We didn’t like that the staff couldn’t care less about a simple request to add a cot to the room as our daughter unexpectedly joined us. Huge room. Easily enough space to fit a cot. Despite offering to pay more, the staff didn’t seem to care. They just told us NO, “they could not do as it was A SECURITY ISSUE.” Totally ridiculous. We ended up going somewhere else and taking a big loss on this client unfriendly apartment-hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just enjoyed having more than the usual bedroom bathroom facilities. Had we stayed longer I'm sure we would have enjoyed using the apartment to the full.
Cons: The car park caused some stress both trying to get in and also getting out. This was due to other vehicles restricting the narrow entrance.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Roomy spacious one bedroom. Tons of storage cupboards. Many outlets to recharge electronics. Breakfast way excellent. Many fresh choices. Kettle in room. Big refrigerator Windows that open for fresh air and good air con in heat

6.2 Good
Pros: Very well located, close to the city center and all the shopping and restaurants. Has its own parking lot so you don't have to worry about not having any place to park. The hotel staff was nice enough to help us make a few calls for restaurant reservations. The room is quite sizable for Europe's standards.
Cons: The room was okay clean and average, don't expect too much. There's only one elevator and so it's super slow and it smells bad.
7.5 Good
Pros: Easy check in procedure done with an smatphone by the receptionist.
Cons: The bed room is too small. You can just walk around the bed.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location near the center of the town. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Underground parking lot us very convenient, but the path is rather narrow and curved. A small car is recommended if you want to use it.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, a 5 min walk top the routine ams to the Cours Mirabeau. They're fully equipped with kitchen ware and we were able to take full advantage of that. Hotel Employee was excellent and very helpful.
Cons: Parking was 60 euros for 7 days. You have to pay for parking at most European hotels so it wasn't out of the blue or anything, just that it was extra.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, room
Cons: They clean it only once a week.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is great and everyone was really friendly and happy to help. This made the difference for us.
Cons: The hotel is a little bit dated, but super clean. I would have appreciated a little bit more space around the bed, but that's really a luxury problem in a way.

Pros: Good varied breakfast . The terrace is a definite benefit particularly in the evening with a glass of wine to witness the amazing aerial displays of the birds before they go to sleep. Magical. The staff were very helpful, particularly Muriel, the manager, who advised on the interesting bus trips on local buses. The trips into the countryside are very worthwhile. I liked the bright environment of the staff and décor. Its access into the old town and to the bus terminus is very good.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, sunny and spacious
Cons: A little far to walk to centre

Pros: Lovely, clean hotel, superbly located. When we were leaving we were getting anxious as our taxi did not arrive. The manager (owner?) drove us to the bus station himself and we made our connection. Such a nice thing for him to do.
Cons: The breakfast could have been a bit better, perhaps with a coffee machine and a kettle in the room would be good.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great position , handy for the town. Parking on site
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The concierge and staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great, just a short walk from the town center. The room and bathroom were clean and it had a mini fridge, where we kept a few drinks chilled for the next day. Also very glad that we were able to park our car there as parking in the area is really at a premium. Really appreciated the concierge's help and suggestions! We took a tour offered by the city's tourist office and loved it, so check that out when you visit!
7.1 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. The room was clean and I appreciated the air conditioning as the weather was very hot.
Cons: The internet barely worked. You could see text but rarely did pictures show. Some apps would not open. Very frustrating, as a result I docked their score under facilities.

Pros: It is not usual to find a hotel with air conditioning. I appreciated that. The room was quite spacious and the curtain that blocked light from the street made it easy to sleep.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room.

Pros: Excellent property and staff!

5.0 Okay
Pros: Bed was comfy
Cons: Staff funny about where we sat for drinks. Took ages for drinks
6.7 Good
Pros: Breakfast choice was varied and included something for everyone. Location ideal as walking into town only took a few minutes
Cons: Staff could have been more welcoming and smiling. Gym was insufficiently equipped and too small for a business hotel where clients would most likely use the gym. Swimming pool could have been larger for doing laps. Parking could have been included for hotel guests instead of being an extra charge
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, decor all nice. Staff were great.
Cons: Beautiful decor and hotel but very corporate. More suited to business trips than leisure. Swimming was had restricted times for kids and times available were inconvenient and late for a younger child. No one was in the pool when we visited in the afternoon, so this was a real shame that we couldn’t assess the pool when we wanted to.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location and ease of parking. Friendly staff.
Cons: Panoramic view room with balcony was very noisy in the wind at night due to a loose panel. We reported it the next day and our problem was dealt with efficiently by the receptionist.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean and modern, rooms is large and lots of space. Beds are very comfort and we had a good sleep.
Cons: While the hotel and room are nice, the dinner we had in the restaurant was not as good as expected.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very kind staff. Good stay.
Cons: Hotel was right, but not a 5 stars level...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel and room, we appreciated the staff and the garden.
Cons: The cooling system in the room has been set too high (super cold) and we never found a way to totally switch it off nor warm the room (opening the window to fight such cooling is not super green !)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Brand new hotel with very good quality materials and facilities
Cons: Valet parking took 20 minutes as concierge was busy for over 15 minutes with some guests
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Room was very comfortable - bed exceptionally so. Location was good. Outdoor bar was lovely
Cons: The bar staff were not very good - they need more training on how to to deliver customer service.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is Great. Room is very comfortable, bathrooms are big and clean, there's an open air lounge to sip a rosé, and have a nice conversation. There's a nice sauna and hamman and an indoor pool. It's supposed to be heated, but during my stay the heater was broken.
Cons: Its a five star hotel, but there's all sorts of five stars. The room service menu is very restricted and is available at the TV, some people won't be able to figure it out. The breakfast is served until 10, and at 10 sharp, you can be having coffee and they will take everything off and come at you to tell you that the meal is closed.

5.4 Okay
Pros: nice staff. Outdoor terrace is really nice. Convenient parking lot. Large rooms. Separate bathroom and toilets ( in deluxe room ).
Cons: - location in the middle of a commercial zone along the highway ( however once in the property you totally forget that point since you are totally surrounded by trees and you don’t hear anything else than cicadas) - no afternoon or late food service at all: lunch closes at ..1PM and NO ROOM service. ( because the restaurant at the location is high scale , the owners did not consider that having a room service for hotel guests is of interest ...). No food or drink service at night neither. No way to get a tea or some appetizers at the terrace. - terrible amenities. No sport equipment. Pool side is under-used ( large sun deck and outdoor kitchen totally abandoned during our 2 night stay late june ) Our experience was poor with no possibility to check in prior to 4:20PM ( still i have to admit that hotel was fully booked due to a wedding and perhaps housekeeping was very busy ), no soap refill in the bathroom, poorly decorated rooms ( which is too bad since room surface was large and the castle itself is gorgeous). However, staff was dedicated and specifically Jean Paul at the front desk who did everything he could to make our 2 night stay more enjoyable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully maintained, nice pool!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The ambiance.
Cons: The shower needs a curtain or something to stop water getting into the rest of the bathroom.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was absolutely excellent. Excellent croissants and selection of cheese. Friendly staff. Great location near the tgv station.
Cons: Unfortunately we showed up late the night before and had not eaten. It was our fault for not telling the hotel to prepare us a late snack. Nevertheless it would have been nice if the hotel could have prepared us a cold plate in spite of the late hour.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: the dinning room is beautiful & the breakfast is delicious !
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Rooms nicely appointed
Cons: Pool was not heated
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It looked gorgeous and everything felt like luxury; the softest bath towels ever and a big screen TV. There were eating places very close by as an alternative for those on my budget. It was handy for Marseilles Airport, only 20 mins drive even in rush hour.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike as such. We did find the restaurant very expensive so didn't eat there. 115 euros cheapest evening menu and 21 for breakfast, at time of writing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: In a park like setting close to Aix a chateau from 14th century with an expensive Michelin star restaurant and comfy rooms
9.2 Excellent
Cons: One of the other guests was very embarrassing around the pool, but the (female) member of reception staff was very sympathetic when we complained. We left next day. The guest was over-amorous with his female partner in an extremely sexual way, in and out of the pool, and there were small children around. The breakfast would have cost around 42 euros. We couldn’t afford it. Also, unlike previous stays in this hotel, we couldn’t have food around the pool, and in any case we couldn’t possibly have afforded it
7.1 Good
Cons: Service a little sparse on Sundays and Mondays when the restaurant is closed. Imagine better when there is activity on other days.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful and professional staff. Lovely meal and comfortable room. We had A wallet stolen on route and the hotel were very helpful and understanding
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The stay was amazing. The staff was so friendly, kind and helpful beyond words. Our breakfast was superb and dinner, too. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. Thank you so much. We only wish we could have stayed our entire visit to Provence in this magical place! Sherri
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We really had a lovely stay. The staff were very nice, helpful and were not intrusive. We loved the resident dog Maya. The location was further from the centre of Aix then we expected- getting taxis in the evening was a challenge and a walk would be unsafe and not to be tried. We took an excellent breakfast on some days. The food menu is clearly designed for high end expensive fine dining- not our cup of tea and therefore not used. Would benefit from a more diverse menu for those not wishing high end fine dining. Thank you for making our vacation most enjoyable.
Cons: Did not like the limited menu particularly for one vegetarian.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable...a beautiful venue...wonderful food....gracious staff...great pool. Th only drawback was the road so close by but I imagine that this has happened over the years.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Parking very easy and convenient. Property was beautiful. Staff was lovely.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: We had the family apartment and the bathroom had no ventilation. If we kept the window open it looked right down to the dining area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The entire complex of numerous buildings is a resort offering an excellent restaurant, enormous pool, room service, a variety of room types, a gym, tennis court and massage room all in a rural park setting just a 5 minute drive from the centre of Aix. We booked for 6 nights into a 2 bedroom suite for 4 adults overlooking the garden with a large dining table, a terrace and a shared bathroom. The bed was very large and comfortable and the bathroom was stocked with L’Occitane products. The pond, fountains and various outdoor sitting areas offered a sense of privacy and intimacy; we had space to ourselves in a communal area. The staff were always present and extremely friendly and gracious but unobtrusive. The restaurant food was excellent as were the staff; the locals book into the restaurant which is always an endorsement. If you are offered the BBQ dinner during your stay we would highly recommend the food; each meal is prepared by the restaurant chefs to order on the wood fired BBQ outside in the garden and it’s like a buffet. It was an experience we loved.
Cons: The second bedroom was in the communal area so privacy for one couple was an issue. The ceilings are quite low in the original building which resulted in us moving to a suite in another building for an extra €20 per night; well worth the extra to get a better shower and higher ceilings without losing the charm. The site is a little out of town so we ensured all four of us took the same taxi; €15 each way on average depending on the traffic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The relaxed ambience, the ease for parking a trailer. The park setting. The friendly staff. The swimming pool. The food........... I will definitely return.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent bed and spotlessly clean room. Great location and wonderful value for money - the best two star hotel I have stayed in. Surprised it only ranks as two stars.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff.
Cons: Lots of stairs and high tub, may be an issue if you have mobility problems.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Spotless, bed is comfortable, shower pressure is strong water is hot and proximity to Cours Mirabeau is excellent at a reasonable price
Cons: The rooms are small but it’s why the price is reasonable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very beauty little comfortable hotel, all well cared, the position is perfect, breakfast is very French style, good and sweet.. the room is clean and romantic
7.0 Good
Pros: Location was perfect, very comfy beds and great bathroom.
Cons: Wi-Fi in out room was terrible and there was no hot water the day we left.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This little hotel has all the charm one could want and the location is excellent in the old town Aix. However, packaged with the antiquity come small rooms and no elevator. We were on the third floor. 6 flights of stairs is a long way to drag suitcases. The staff is friendly, helpful and very competent. The breakfast room is lovely and the offerings are very good. If we stayed here again, which we would, we would ask for a first floor room.
7.0 Good
Pros: Really good croissants
Cons: Lugging baggage up 3 flights of stairs
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Charming and very French hotel on very beautiful narrow street. Breakfast was superb. Staff excellent.
Cons: Room was a little small but very nice.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice as expected in a 3 star hotel ( this is only a 2 star but ignore that rating. ) Overall it’s a pretty little hotel and close to the Main Street if Aix.
Cons: When we first arrived we were given a room on the 3rd floor and the stairs are old and steep. I eventually got changed to a 1st floor room which was much smaller but easier on my knees.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I didn't have breakfast. location was perfect in beautiful locality in old quarter, perfect for Musee Granet.
Cons: The building is old and has a tiled staircase so there is quite a bit of internal noise , also from old doors with noisy closures.
7.7 Good
Pros: Small hotel, quiet neighborhood, friendly staff. Easy walk from train and bus station. Stayed 7 days. Small room but OK if you havn't a lot of luggage and stuff....
Cons: No elevator, but staff available to help if needed.
6.7 Good
Pros: It is very close to the centre of town. The bathroom was excellent. The room was clean althought the floor is very old and doesn't look very good.
Cons: The bed cover was dirty along the bottom, and the bedding seemed really old.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Friendly & accomodating staff, nice breakfast room, very good location, parking worked out well; updated bath room was fine.
Cons: Floor rug was stained and dirty; room and simple but adequate furniture needed painting; furniture and drapery actually needed a good cleanng; bath linens were "washed out".With some effort, not even great expense, this could be a very good place.
6.6 Good
Pros: I had a basic single room, buyt it had fresh furnishings, with wall TV. Clean bathroom, good value breakfast, great location - 20 mins from bus; 10 mins from railway; 5 mins from township. Only one minor issue - the bed needs a new mattress.
4.4 Okay
Pros: The Bathroom was very modern compared to the room.
Cons: The room was basically a bed. Comfortable but tiny.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: breakfast
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location excellent, close to train and bus stations as well as historic sites, restaurants and shopping. Price very reasonable, given location.
Cons: Room was small in comparison to those in other two star hotels and walls of room needed re-painting or cleaning.
7.4 Good
Pros: Very nice classic French style decoration. Nice bedroom floor plan.
Cons: No elevator. The new bathroom is modern style, not classic style like the bedroom and hotel. So, it should have the same style.

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a computer station, and express check-in. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location. Many stores are nearby. Just across the road starts a walking street with many small shops, restaurants. Simply walking it straight ahead you can easily reach the main tourists street with different stores and places to have a good lunch/dinner. A parking lot space is available on request.
Cons: Unfortunately there is no convenient way (other than a taxi) to reach the hotel from TGV or a regular train station.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The terasse was delightful.
Cons: It was all good.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable nicely decorated room with a nice balcony. Great location within walking distance from train or bus station & close to all the main sights. Grocery store next door. Would stay here again!
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was ideally located a short walk from the Main Street. It was very clean, a big room and a nice private car park! The hotel also smelt so lovely!
Cons: Located on the main road but it wasn’t really noisy.
7.9 Good
Pros: Short walk into heart of town Parking
Cons: On a main road bedroom window directly onto pavement Limited supply of coffee tea milk in room Parking was not part of room price
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and clean good for a one night stopover.
Cons: Bathroom outdated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious, modern and quiet, the bed super comfortable (though not the pillows). Very well located, charming, an excellent place to stay in Six without breaking the bank.
Cons: Pillows
6.7 Good
Pros: Reasonable location within walking distance of centre of town.
Cons: Strong smell of smoke pervaded the room and was unbearable despite requesting a non smoking room. Bathroom was incredibly cramped. Instead of toilet paper they had individual tissues. It was not made clear to us how to access their parking and then when the receptionist found out we had parked elsewhere he tried to upsell us on the hotel parking which would have cost us a lot more overall to change carparks acting on his advice.
6.7 Good
Pros: Good location with available parking, albeit a might tight re: the underground parking space. Okay breakfast but more hot options would be nice. Our room was a bit dark with only one window facing an alley, but better than our in-laws who were assigned a handicap room (not requested) with a wetroom bathroom and facing directly onto the sidewalk at street level. The outdoor spaces were a comfy spot to sit and read. All-in-all, a good hotel well located to check out the sites.
Cons: There is a strange trough in the driveway outside of the reception area which caused me and another guest to fall. This hazard needs to be addressed by management. I was lucky to only suffer bruising and swelling of a knee.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is very close to the centre - everywhere was easily walkable. Underground car park was appreciated. Comfortable room with balcony view. Shower room was a bit squeezed but had everything you need. Breakfast was fine with usual selection for a continental breakfast. Might prefer to go out next time rather than pay €11 however. Staff very helpful and friendly!
Cons: See above.
7.0 Good
Pros: The employees were very accommodating and let us park our rented car before check in
Cons: Shower facilities could be improved
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff Spacious room Centrally located
Cons: Slightly aged no pool
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was very convenient. The receptionist was very kind and let us store our bags after we had checked out.
Cons: Our room was freezing even though we had the "heat" turned up as far as we could. In their defense, we didn't report it so I don't know if it was the hotel or just the room. Luckily, there was sufficient blankets on the bed.
6.3 Good
Pros: Old building, nicely decorated, gave you the feeling of being in another time. It was also great that it had parking.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good location near sites & train station.
Cons: The room did not feel so clean.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We chose the Concorde for its combination of relatively central location, price, and availability of parking since we were travelling by car. It met our expections for all of these things, but what we didn't expect was the extremely friendly staff and the lovely large room with a patio deck where we could enjoy wine, cheese and bread overlooking the rooftops. Great place!
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: location
Cons: car park not included and hard to find in hotel location. Also, hotel car park is limited until 12pm which limits you if you have plans which could get you back late
4.6 Okay
Pros: Location was very good, within walking distance of main tourist area. Bus right outside door also.
Cons:
6.4 Good
Pros: The hotel is located near the congress center. I have stayed in a renovated room which was nice and comfort. Some of the rooms are not as good.
Cons:
6.4 Good
Pros: Location was excellent - easy walking distance to city centre. The parking facility is a big advantage (Aix is a bit of a nightmare otherwise!!). We booked the suite and thoroughly enjoyed having beakfast on the terrace!
Cons: Some of the plants, paintwork and furniture outside (and on the terace) could perhaps do with a bit of extra maintenance.
6.0 Good
Pros: The size of the room was very good with separate wc and bath/shower although we did have a superior room. The room was not in the hotel itself but to the rear similar to a motel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very good location.
Cons: breakfast was fairly average and not worth additional cost
6.0 Good
Pros: Nice balcony
Cons:

7.9 Good
Pros: Contemporary design of the common areas. Roomsize and bathroom. We also got a 10% complimentary voucher for the restaurant. I think this is an excellent transit hotel ie for 1 night only
Cons: Restaurant was shut in the afternoon. We checked in around 3pm, got to the restaurant around 4pm and were told that the chef was not there and that the restaurant would reopen in the evening. They tried to offer us a charcuterie or cheese plate but did not have anything else. Parking is 10Euros extra per night. Food is very expensive in the hotel. Location is not so great either. There are no restaurants in the neighbourhood. Aix centre is about a 20 minute walk away
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good stuff! The staff!! - an awesome team!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very large, clean and comfortable room. The restaurant is probably overpriced but offering very good dishes. Location wise is OK or not depending on what you need, 20 mins walk to the city centre across a not so nice area and busy street, but just next to the highway exit. Very convenient indoor parking facility. Very kind staff - one of the nicest experiences ever in France! I will come back :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
5.4 Okay
Pros: When we checked in at mid night we get a used room ground floor thats looks at garbage containers. After complain. Fist he deinigh We get room that’s ok. Terrible check in. On the other side. Morning leaving was a sweet lady that canceled the parking cost to compensate
Cons: Paying parking cost. It’s a hotel where u need to have parking so need to be included. And the issue with room used as said in previous text.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Room comfort.pool
Cons: Very noisy located at intersection of 2 motorways. Walking very stressful across intersection. Witnessed one pedestrian after accident lying on road. On top jackhammers for roadwork through the .night. Very far from centre 2k with need to walk across very dangerous roads and motorways. Staff ignorance of room location overlooking motorway pool...And rather rude regarding noise, argue back to you that rooms are quiet.
7.9 Good
Pros: Clean and quiet
Cons: It’s a bit of a walk from town, near a motorway
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location good that it’s not to far by walking.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The beds!!! Comfiest bed ever and really nice quiet room which was sparkling clean. We had a fabulous breakfast in bed. We loved the friendly staff who went the extra mile for us to make our stay special. The pool is a nice touch for hot days and the cocktails are great too! Overall a great value hotel for a short break in Aix-en-Provence, would highly recommend :)
Cons: The location was just a little bit further out so we got taxis each way, but for the value of a cheaper, very modern and comfortable hotel it was worth it :)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, wonderful staff, clean and pleasant rooms.
Cons: The swimming pool should be cleaner.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Glorious historic building, right in centre of town. Excellent breakfast, elegant surroundings, friendly, helpful staff. Large bedroom, good shower.
Cons: More tea bags, we don't all drink only coffee
7.1 Good
Pros: The location is fantastic. The hotel is located in the heart of the old city and everything is within walking distance. The breakfast is also very good although it was not included in the room rate but well worth the extra money. Staff is also very good.
Cons: Our room faced a court yard that had very little ventilation. There were also pigeons flying around so we were fearful one might enter the room when we left the window open. The mattress was definitely of inferior quality compared with other hotels in France and finally the carpet could use a redo. The interior all in all could use modernizing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything there staff very helpful and great location
Cons: Nothing24
7.1 Good
Pros: Common spaces were amazing... a real masterpiece, with great atmosphere from the 16th century. Staff was also nice and very helpful . Breakfast was decent although not the best I've had recently.
Cons: Rooms condition was very rundown. Needs a lot of renovation. Carpet should be replaced. No safe provided, no tea/coffee making facilites. It is a real pity as this hotel has so much potential given the beauty of the common spaces.

Cons: Can’t think of anything!
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very fresh and the rooms were fine - nothing too glamourous but a great view!
Cons: The rooms were looking a little dated and tatty but it was fine overall - nothing was broken (although a shower curtain would have been welcome). It did take some time for someone to come and unlock the front door when we returned from a meal out (just after midnight).
6.7 Good

Pros: A good buffet breakfast with plenty of variety. The hotel is only 15 minutes walk from the station, right near the centre of town. It was quiet and safe and the staff were extremely helpful and cooperative. The spa was really good, better than most hotel spas and the swimming pool was longer than I expected.
Cons: Supplies in the room weren't always topped up ( coffee, coffee cups). But nothing that couldn't be remedied by a chat to staff or reception.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room overlooking the old town. Lovely swimming pool. Very good position. Friendly staff.

5.4 Okay
Pros: Bed was comfortable
Cons: It was old and run down. No insulation between rooms. Spa was old and moldy Towels were thread worn
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Good location, gereat bed
Cons: While it is billed as a spa, it has almost no gym equipment. This is a place for people to get massages and do juice cleanses.
7.0 Good
Pros: It was convenient to the sites we visited. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Hotel is unfortunately located next to a very popular college bar (it was very noisy on several nights - well into the wee hours). Front desk gave us the wrong bus/train info a couple of times (out-of-date schedules).
7.9 Good
Pros: Didn't have breakfast Excellent front desk staff - friendly and efficient. Maxime who was on duty most of our stay made excellent restaurant recommendations and should be commended.
Cons: The restaurant lacks atmosphere and opening time too short . The lack of milk and standard tea meant we had to go out and bring this in which is surprising given the number of British staying in the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and very helpful staff
7.5 Good
Pros: Location perfect to go into the wonderful bars restaurants and churches of the city.
Cons: The pool restaurant had the atmosphere of clinic - lots of oldies wearing white dressing gowns eating their lunch. Very weird.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room and bathroom nicely updated.
Cons: Their WIFI was out and we were in a real jam trying to make our train and hotel reservations for the next leg of our trip.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are very nice and polite. The room was nicely decorated and the minibar was free (soft drinks only).
Cons: The hotel charges €20 for breakfast which is over the top.
6.3 Good
Cons: Tiny toilet as gar from the bathroom as you could get - and nearly impossible to get into the toilet to use. Sadly the sheet slipped from the bed revealing a badly stained matress - and no matress protector
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was great. It was easy to reach everything we wanted to see. The parking was conveniently located to the hotel, however was pricey. The hotel was well designed, clean, and had nice seating areas both inside and out. The room was roomy, clean and comfortable. The mini fridge was handy. The hotel is quiet, even though we were located across from the elevator.
Cons: The biggest issue we had was that internet service was spotty, and sometimes we couldn't access it. Another issue was that the toilet ran and required constant jiggling of the flusher. We informed the front desk the first morning, and were told to jiggle the handle. Upon check out we were told that this was an issue in some of the rooms, so not particularly helpful. We also felt that breakfast was pricey, but due to the nice location of the hotel, we were able to go out in the neighborhood for something to eat.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast in the garden is really nice. Staffs & Services are very professional. I will go back to Hotel Cezanne definitely.

Pros: Loved the innovative lighting panels behind the beds (although one or maybe two strings of lights needed replacing), and the hanging lamps next to beds. Multiple switches made it easy for turning them on/off, once you figured out which switch did what. Also liked the big shower head and Clarin’s products.
Cons: Every shower (in the shower stall) produced a puddle on the bathroom floor, at the side where the door was hinged; seems water just sprays or drips out there. Also there was a loose grab bar which needs tightening. (Note: this bar prevents glass door from swinging in, not a bad thing, but may somehow contribute to puddles.)
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location. Nice quiet hotel. Staff was nice and fairly helpful.
Cons: Room are a bit dated and worn. Bathroom was very musty smelling when we arrived. The addressed it right away and it was better but the smell never completely went away.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: Pillows are too soft. No support.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very close to the city central!
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice - if small - room and comfortable bed, polite staff, fairly convenient location but not right in the centre
Cons: Very small bathroom and shower, quite noisy as the walls were thin
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff who worked hard to make our visit very special.
Cons: Being told on arrival that the car park was full and no room for our car. We were so tired and frustrated we almost cancelled our reservation. Glad we didn't. Hotel needs to include on its website more precise details on how to access hotel entrance and car park from main road. If you miss it it is a NIGHTMARE to find your way back.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Convenience as located right in town. Helpful staff.
Cons: I guess only just that our room was right on the path next to very busy main road
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The young woman on the desk when we arrived on Tuesday the 17th September in the early afternoon was very helpful and again the same person on the Thursday afternoon the 19th was very kind and helpful when we were leaving. We thank her very warmly.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Parking is limited and if you don’t get a space the hotel does not cover your cost of parking somewhere else. We paid over 20euros for public parking. The staff were not helpful or sympathetic at all.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, near the fountain and old town. We were given a lovely large room which was a nice surprise. The free car park was also appreciated.
Cons: No milk provided with the tea and coffee in the room, otherwise all good.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location: 2 minutes by walk from / to Routier Station, where all the shuttle busses come from tgv station of Aix En Provence. Also, it takes 5 minutes to Rotonde Fountain and City Center. Breakfast was excellent, staff as well. Room is small but very decent. Parking is a bit less obvious. It is announced as such with the hotel room, but chances are you might not get it, and you cannot reserve it.
Cons: No certainty with the parking
7.1 Good
Pros: Location is good with free parking and staff can speak good English and is very helpful too. Aircon is ok.
Cons: The room that was assigned to us was very small. The toilet and shower was packed. I am a tiny Asia lady also have to squeeze in. The hotel is very basic. The blanket doesn't look clean but we did not use it anyway and we saw a tiny spider on the bedsheet.
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff speaks English.

7.5 Good
Pros: The position is very good to visit the centre of the town. Parking is large and good. Staff is nice and efficient. The balcony offers a good view
Cons: Considering the price, an apartment with 2 rooms is small also for 2 persons. The kitchen is equipped in basic way
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious room - almost like a little flat - with an entrance kitchen and a nice room. Stylish decor and very comfortable. Very nice staff too. Very good location both in relation to the station and the city centre. Well equipped small kitchen too. Good breakfast and a possibility for a swim in the pool. We would certainly go there again.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were so helpful, kind and friendly and spoke many languages. I misplaced my phone and the staff helped me find it by checking the CCTV and updating me even when their shift had changed. Comfortable room and bed, little terrace. If it is a busy season in the South of France you should go for the paid parking space. Short walk to the weekly markets on Cours Mirabeau. Very close walk to Le Pigonnet for a special dinner or lunch in a beautiful garden. Also a close walk to Caumont Art Centre. The apartment hotel is in a residential student area but also very good access to the motorway for day trips. Highly recommend you drive 25 mins north to Chateau La Coste en Provence for a day of art, nature, food and wine. Would recommend and stay again.
Cons: Nothing really. Aging so could do a refurbishment to modernize and up the chic factor.
7.9 Good
Pros: Friendly staff and convenient
Cons: Good but not great
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good value for the hotel quality, facilities and location only a short walk from the centre. Friendly staff at reception. Good parking garage under the hotel. Pleasant swimming pool which was still open at the end of September.
Cons: The road where the hotel is located is not particularly scenic although perfectly ok
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location although finding it proved tricky as the one way system and bus lanes were confusing Super friendly staff, clean and confortable
Cons: Nice airy rooms, near to the center but in quiet part of town Park near by to walk the dog
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff Very helpfull, facilities are great. Close to the subway.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: People AT THE reception ARE extraordinary
Cons: ALL THE THINGS
7.1 Good
Pros: Location near town and bus centre. Pool . Friendly and helpful staff. Would come again especially if suite with a proper shower
Cons: Didn’t like shower over bath where I slipped with nasty fall. Tiny kitchen area. Lack of space to hang clothes. Breakfast expensive and ‘hot food’ cold.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Spacious room, friendly night clerk and the location.
Cons: The facility is very run down and needs touching up. At that price, there should not be dirt, mold and ripped curtains.
