Cons: Ok- room is noisy- we had the one with terrace, earplugs are provided. Hot water is very limited- you have to take very short shower. Breakfast on the Sunday starts at nine but we were leaving for tour earlier- we did manage to get a banana each, no breakfast provided on the Monday. It is hard to see- ring ahead if you in a car so someone can wait outside for you. There’s a garage they’ll open and you drive into. Then they move the car . Also- building looking like it’s starting next door- maybe ask just in case it’s goi g to be extra noisy/ beware the fireworks and bells that tend to go all night..

Cons: The restaurant wasn't open very much, so we had to plan food / dinner otherwise, but there were 100's of great places in town. The pool could have been a little cleaner (leaves at the bottom)

Pros: This is a FANTASTIC place! Alejandro, the owner, is a truly wonderful host and will make your stay smooth, comfortable and easy. He was invaluable with tips and advice regarding the local area, day trips, and even gave us a lift in to town on a couple of occasions. The hacienda is a very large place with swimming pool, massive seating areas and lots of rooms. Breakfast, if you choose it, is amazing! Cereal, yoghurt, eggs, coffee, juice. Sets you up for the day. The rooms have everything you need and are large and very nicely sized. Location is just on the outside of San Miguel and an easy walk in to the centre of about 20 mins. We usually walked in and then took a taxi back if feeling lazy, about £2-3 or $5 US. Thank you Alejandro for such a wonderful stay! We had an amazing time and you were incredibly helpful and generous with your time.

Cons: All was exactly what we needed. Obviously, if you want to be bang in the centre of San Miguel de Allende, this hacienda is not.

I had to go get it myself at the reception, only to find out I can only get 2 small cups of ice, rather than a small bucket like most places. Later, again, I need 2 pillows, of which I had to go get myself at the reception.

Cons: It wasn't super clean. Superficial Cleaning was only done just prior to check in. A quick mopping of the floors and change of sheets. Apartment was very dusty and there was a lot clutter. Denise asked us to leave payment in the refrigerator because she was too busy to come and get it herself. I thought this was very strange and unprofessional.

Cons: The problem was with the person renting the room. She had told us we could park in a protected parking lot but had not made arrangements for us to park there. Parking was safe on the street but we had asked before about parking. Then she never showed up to collect our payment and I still don’t know if she ever came and got it.
