9.2 Excellent
Pros: The care they brought into preserving and showing travelers the beauty of the building and all the Chiapas art. Our room was big. The king bed with a living room. We had fires at night. It’s close to everything! The breakfast were delicious! I really appreciated the attention of the staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, location, breakfast, facilities, the experience in Santa Lucia was amazing. We will back for sure!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff is super friendly. The special wishes we had for breakfast ( more of this fruit instead of ... etc) were always met immediately. One day we had to leave early for a trip and they prepared us a delicious lunch box. At the check in we were provided with all very helpful recommendations- all the places they recommend us for dinner were great! We had the room on the upper floor amatenango “ which is beautifully decorated. It only has an upper winder, so there is hardly a view but it really does not matter.
Cons: Nothing - everything was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at Santa Lucía count not have been more accommodating. They even brought a birthday tart and small bottle of champagne to our room on my husband’s birthday!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was spectacular. I did not want to leave.
Cons: NA
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything else
Cons: Low shower, no air-conditioning or window in the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing welcome and gorgeous property. I would definitely stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My family and I felt welcome upon arrival at the hotel. The staff is amazing very polite and helpful. The rooms are beautifully decorated and a good size. We rented five rooms and we were happy with all of them. They have a good and tasty selection of food for breakfast. I definitely recommend it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A gem of a hotel. The lobby and rooms were beautiful, with individual artwork and textiles. It felt calm and peaceful. The staff were some of the friendliest we encountered. The breakfast was delicious and a highlight.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was super nice and accommodating. The breakfast options were delicious to an extreme. The location is great - close enough to walk to the main attractions and restaurants in town but far enough to be quiet. The parking lot is only a few steps away from the door.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: They are very accommodating from airport pick-up and drop-off (for a cost and they disclose the amount when you set it up via email, phone call or in person). Sending you off with a box lunch if you can't make breakfast (give the front desk a 24 hour notice) You get to choose your breakfast off the menu so it's made fresh. They are available to assist you at anytime and suggested great places to eat, shop and site see within walking distance. They suggest where to eat, but if you want something other then suggested just ask. Not a typical 5 star hotel like USA, but definitely 5 star service. Great experience and wish we stayed longer, but we know better next time. More expensive then other hotels, but worth it in my opinion. They lock the door so just knock or right the bell and someone will come. Loved the decor within the hotel photos do it no justice.
Cons: Shower can be slippery be careful and be careful when you shower the knobs are not label water can get very hot.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Excellent location, the rooms and the hotel itself is very stylish. A beautiful library is available to hang out in the evening, good gym and one of the best restaurants in SAN Cristóbal - LUM. The breakfast is generous, a lot of variety to order from a la carte (with an allowance of 160 pesos per person available to order anything and the option to either get refunded or pay extra if this is exceeded. The allowance is generous enough to have several items from the menu). The location and the staff are very good. Would highly recommend it if you are looking for something picturesque, modern, convenient, with top class service and food.
Cons: The only very minor point is that the rooms were often cleaned late in the day (around 4pm). If you do go on tours early in the morning and you come back to the hotel after for a break, it could just coincide with an unclean room or the housekeeper in the process of cleaning the room. Apart from that, this hotel is perfect!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Top Design, comfortable, location, bar, restaurant, beautiful gardens, the suites terraces, “vin” suite etc
Cons: Price is a little expensive Needs a city view roof terrace

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Eco style one with nature. Felt safe and well cared for...
Cons: They were refurbishing all the varnished wood. Made the stairs tricky
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A very modern and really nice hotel. Modern chic. We loved the decor and the garden. In one word; great! Nice livingroom. Good cocktails. We loved it.
Cons: The manager spoke very good English, maybe she can use her skills to teach the waiters in the restaurant some basic English? They didn't even understand there own menu in English. At breakfast we had a lot of difficulties to get the right breakfast. It all took far to long to come to the table, especially the coffee. Please let your staff know that coffee is the first thing to serve when people sit at their table!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Style, taste, landscaping, food,
8.3 Excellent
Pros: One of the most beautiful places I stayed during my five weeks in Mexico. Sleek, modern, well-balanced interior and very comfortable rooms.
Cons: It was incredibly overpriced, nearly as much as beachside accommodation in Tulum (which is also overpriced). Breakfast wasn't even included.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent for the city, staff extremely welcoming and the room was of a high standard.
Cons: Not much!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I can say Hotel Bo is the best option to choose if you are going to San Cristóbal

10.0 Excellent
Pros: To start Claudia is amazing she welcomes you and makes you feel like home really nice person males sure everything is easy for you when you arrived, gives you a map of san cristobal with some good recomendaciones of restaurants, and things to do as well a company that she feels confortable to donour tours that is explorando chiapas we did 3 tour with them and they are professional and a safe company. Thank you claudia we loved that map, she also gives a daily breakfast from 8-10:30 am really good fresh fruit water with coffee and your main breakfast yummm and the best part is that if your tour is early she makes you a lunch bag to take due of not been able to enjoy breakfast at the hotel that’s amazing no hotel makes that for their guests. I will say this is yourbest option goo location 2 min again from andador Guadalupe full of restaurants and stores really nice and located in a safe and nice quiet street . Stay here and enjoy her lovely details and decorations that make you feel more in san cristobal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Claudia the sweetest person ever o think all hotels should have people lime her she treats everyone like if they were home prepares a lunch bag if you have a early tour and if not the breakfast is served from8am-10:30 in a nice dining place with a great agua fresca and your breakfast (no one does that in other places like her) she makes you feel like home the details in the rooms and hotel are mostly things from san cristobal that makes it so cute and welcoming. She also gives you a great map with locations that she recomends from dining to places to visit and tours with a good and safe agency. I will definitely come back and stay in this’s lovely and cute place. only one block away from andador Guadalupe super near to everything walking distance
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The B&B was gorgeous.. I loved my room and the staff were wonderful. Quirky & perfect for me!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nuik is a great place to stay in San Cristobal, the house is beautiful and the deco of the B&B makes it look cozy. Breakfast was way above expectations, and service in general is spot on. Claudia is an amazing host, and is obvious she wants you to feel at home when at Nuik. I would recommend this option 100%, it is very close to city center and is in a quite and safe street.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything. The location ( very closed to the center of San Cristobal), the room (clean and cozy), the courtyard, the service (Daniela was super nice. She even prepared 2 lunch boxes as we had to leave early in the morning) and the breakfast (so delicious). You will love your stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Apart from , location , cute details , comfy bed and clean room , the best part is people Working here ! Claudia is the best host ever , paying attention to important details :) EarlyMorning that we had tour , she left in front of out doors snack bags , with a note” enjoy your trip “ Love the rustic style of the hotel . Not to Forget breakfast was yummy !
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Claudia is the best hostess! We were surprised about the beauty of the location and how she decorated everything. We felt so welcome when we arrived, the room was cosy and clean and the B&B is just one street next to the street with all nice restaurants (it's all located in the city centre). Claudia recommended some of them when we arrived and also helped out when we wanted to go see the villages of the native people (San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan). The breakfast was delicious and the best we got served during our entire trip: variaty of fruit, some yoghurt and granola, toast with butter, marmalade and honey, and you could order different types of eggs (scrambled, sunny side up, omelet etc.).
Cons: There is only one thing, but just a minor thing: we think the bathroom is cleaned with some sort of chlorine or bleach (something we smelled in more hotels and guestrooms in Mexico). We really disliked the smell of it. Because our room had an open space above the bathroom going into the bedroom, the smell would sometimes go into the bedroom as well (same for the smell after a number 2 on the toilet). Oh and I really wanted to kill the neighbours rooster after two nights, but that's not something Claudia is responsible for and with some earplugs in I had a good nights sleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This Bed and Breakfast is a charming house with a lovely patio and very nice rooms with pretty decoration, and you can feel the owner Claudia, gives all her heart to make this place beautiful. You will feel at home! She truly will make your experience the best ever in San Cris! Thanks again :)

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. 8.8 Excellent
Pros: The property is clean and has a great location, it seems that it is attentive to sustainability and it has nice touches. Ramón was very courteous and attentive. The gentleman that assisted us with the luggage to the parking was very nice and genuine.
Cons: What I liked about Chiapas are the genuine personal touches and service that we have received in other hotels where we have stayed during our vacation. This hotel is striving to achieve international standards and partially successful. In doing so it lacks of spontaneity and genuine service. We were coming for our honeymoon and by mistake we made the reservation for the wrong night, we could only realise it the morning after since they did not call us before running a no show. The day after we have been offered a 50% discount in a lower category room. It is a solution but in low season I would have expected some extra touches. It was a solution of an international hotel chain, dry and trying to fix it with the lowest effort possible, no special touches considering that we were in honeymoon. Breakfast and service were disappointing, again we could have been anywhere. I was expecting more, it makes me keep staying away by non-local feeling hotels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent and the staff was extraordinarily friendly. Unprecedented stay, highly recommended.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Charming hotel in a perfect location. Great service and Delicious food. The staff is helpful and our waitress was so professional. Very clean and comfortable with crisp linens and complementary coffee room service. Spacious bathroom and closets. First class all the way !
Cons: Wish we had a window in the two bed suite for some fresh morning air.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very nicely decorated and in a great location. The best part is the staff, unbelievable their service, attention and always there ready to help you. Janet, in the front desk is so sweet and helpful. We will come back!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast that is included is basic and the same each day, but tasty.
Cons: The noise outside the room from the restaurant was a bit of a challenge, but the staff did everything that they could to help address these issues.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything! it’s a beautiful place and the staff it’s so kind and gentle. i hope to be back again soon!
Cons: there are not many electrical connections in the rooms. I think it's the only dysfunctional thing, the rest was very good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Staff. Service. Cleanness and rooms are perfect.
7.9 Good
Pros: Cute little hotel in the best part of the historic enter. The design is cute but lacking a few conveniente details.
Cons: The room could really use more outlets. There are no electrical outlets next to the bed. The try to say that are a green hotel but the singleton's use, and not replaced each time, Tommy Bahamma amenitiy bottles say otherwise. The beds are quite small, not even queen, and the linens are of a very cheap quality. Justa few little upgrades would make it feel much more luxurious, rather than simply comfortable enough.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was incredible , location amazing! Beautiful small hotel with lots of details throughout...the food was great at the restaurant too :)
9.2 Excellent
Cons: I think that for the price of the room breakfast should be included. There was not even a complimentary coffee offered. In 90% of other hotels that I have stayed in my numerous travels a continental breakfast was included. It would be good PR for the hotel if at least coffee was offered.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room with large 4 poster bed, well equipped bathroom with bath & walk in shower
Cons: A little chilly for the time of the year when we arrived but they lit a fire in our bedroom which helped
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very attentive staff, excellent breakfast, clean and comfortable room with coffe maker and minibar. We could book excursions through them as well. Quiet location and close to the Na Bolom museum which was worth a visit.
Cons: The walking distance to the town center can be too much for you Ii you are not used to walking. We liked it, though.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The grounds and gardens are very well maintained. The rooms are large with fireplace, balcony, nice canopy bed, huge bathrooms with soaking tub as well as shower. Mini bar and wine Prices are extremely reasonable.
Cons: For claiming to be a five star hotel I would expect a better line a toiletries such as a designer line or something local. The toiletries are very economy Hotel. The pillows are very flat and desperately need replacing and the futon in the room does not go at all with the otherwise upscale decore and kind of ruins a luxury feel. Some of the fixtures such as bathroom lights and towel racks are rusting. Just a lite more attention to detail would truly make this worthy of their claimed 5 star status.
7.1 Good
Pros: The bed was really comfortable and the room really spacious
Cons: The hotel really needs to have a restaurant, we were traveling with a baby and small child. The website we booked through was misleading and our criteria was a place with restaurant just to make things easier.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, a mini oasis just outside of the centre. Very quiet, but very easily in walking distance to all main local sites. The staff were lively and helpful, and the room was huge and really nicely decorated. We’d definitely stay here again and would recommend to couples and families.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A little out of the center of town whi ch is an advantage if you enjoy a walk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The attention to detail is lovely. In everything. The room, the amazing bathroom with its copper bathtub, the gardens, the breakfast! There is an offering of a great selection of wine. We really enjoyed a Chilean wine. What luxury to drink the wine next to our beautifully lit fire. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I am somewhat independent and appreciated their hands off approach until you needed something and they were right there to support you. I would stay here again. / Guayaba Inn es precioso y elegante. Quedamos en un grande King habitación. Muy especial Inn. Los detalles hicieron que nuestro estancia fuera muy especial.

Cons: The rooms are dark, and illumination could be better
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room was great. It faced into a large picturesque courtyard. The bedding was good. The hotel reminded me of being in a hacienda. The breakfast was good as was the coffee. There's a street about two blocks away that's open only to pedestrians and it's lined with shops and restaurants.
Cons: The location is a little out of the way. It's about four or five blocks from the main square in San Cristobal de las Casas and the sidewalks are narrow, uneven and sometimes slippery. That's not the hotel's fault.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Large comfortable room. Beautifully decorated. Hot, hot water. Very short walk to main pedestrian walkway. Staff always friendly!
Cons: May just be a one off event, but WiFi was incredibly weak/lacking inside the room. Had to sit outside to use it.

Cons: There was no Internet in the room (only in the public zones like lobby, patio, restaurant, bar, etc.). The room on the ground floor was a little bit cold and humid.

Cons: nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good hostel. decent price, good people around and great vibe. has different activities every night, and awesome parties. definitely a place for young backpackers !
Cons: staff was sometimes a bit annoying or confused, but only some of them!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is also a good place to relax and in the same time perfect for party and connecting with people. In the dorms it's silent so you don't hear people celebrate. I had a great time, thanks for everything!
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfortable mattress, nicely located. Hostel desk was always staffed and staff provided good recommendations. Breakfast options were really good.
Cons: The dorms were very dark. Would be good to have a light and charging point by each bed. Pillow was terrible. Tour prices are very expensive, I booked tours through Otisa instead, the hostel should really change their provider. I was also unable to drop off laundry at the hostel and get it delivered which seemed unusual, as I was on a tour 7am-9pm I wasn't able to get laundry done. Breakfast was awesome but service was very slow and we were late to the start of our tour, perhaps they could start serving earlier.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This hostel has a great bar with great offers. Outside the bar is even a bonfire. Dinner is good and cheap, breakfast is included and amazig. You can connect to a lot of new people and going out in San Cristobal is a lot of fun. Also the tours the hostel offers are nice and for a good price.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was awesome!
7.5 Good
Pros: Cheap
Cons: You can't sleep at night because of the music from the bar
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice garden...
Cons: I did not feel welcome from the moment I stepped in. Almost no information upon arrival and the tour of the place went straight to my bed coz she was the only person at reception and did not have time to show me around or even where the bathroom was. Definitely not the best system for food (dinner and breakfast) and way to many beds per dorm.

Pros: Lovely place to stay. Very nice design. Close to down town. Very good value for money. Enjoyed every minute we stayed there.
Cons: nothing.
6.3 Good
Pros: Central location, lovely courtyard, helpful manager, very clean.
Cons: Our room had no exterior window so it was a bit gloomy and airless and it was quite noisy most of the day with music from the lobby echoing around the courtyard. And cooking smells from the restaurant from dawn (felt like!). Plus we got off to a bad start with some confusion over our booking - we’d paid for a triple room for us and our 10-year-old son but the reception staff on duty wanted us to pay extra for a child’s bed. It was not the warmest of welcomes, but we were grateful for the apology that came after the manager stepped in.

Cons: The rooms are not soundproof, you'll hear noises from the street and everything that happens in the corridors of the building. Pros: Perfect. The hotel has some extra free services : free snacks and beverages at the happy hour. Staff very professional. Parking very close from the hotel. A lot of space in the room.
Cons: Wifi not very fast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very close to the center. Great location. Very pleasant and comfortable. The staff is very attentive.
Cons: The room is a bit small, but it was not a problem for us. Not all staff spoke English, but everybody did their best to help and were very friendly and attentive, so we could manage although we did not speak any Spanish.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff
Cons: A lot of noise at night, room looked bigger on pictures
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location & the free drinks at the bar in the early evening.
Cons: The room - it was damp. We noticed the smell of damp as soon as we walked into the room! The bed clothes, towels & even the toilet paper was damp ! We complained & asked for a change of room but we were told that the hotel was full , so we couldn’t change the room !! Unfortunately we had paid for the three nights as we checked in before we saw the room ! I don’t recommend this hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Is located in the downtown at walking distance of the major restaurants and museums of San Cristobal, facilities were clean and with a great design
Cons: I don’t think I have major complains about the property it was a great value overall
5.4 Okay
Pros: Good central location and good toiletries
Cons: We asked housekeeping whether our room was quiet at night as the window overlooked a roof top bar and a rock bar too. She assured us it was tranquil, but we could feel the bass after hours and had bad sleep for the first two nights before asking to move room. They did, which was great but feel annoyed they were not honest initially. Despite what the advert says front desk staff do not speak a word of English. Thank god my husband speaks Spanish. Little bit disappointed. The tapas that is available in the evening is quite basic and they do not publise it well so we didn’t even know about it until the third night. They don’t have any in house catering apart from breakfast which wasn’t included. Decor Seemed really dated and eerie - surroundings and public spaces are not utilised by guests as seems unwelcoming. Lastly the toilet in the second room kept blocking!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: I loved the layout of the room, the lighting, the decor.
Cons: It would have been nice if Netflix was signed in with the hotel's account so that it could be used.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Garden and design.
Cons: Service at every level: check in, restaurant, check out... I wouldn’t recommend this place, there are much better options in San Cristobal.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The entrance and the general atmosphere in the hotel is fantastic The room is absolutely beautiful with a fire place The food at the restaurant is fairly good Most of the staff is helpful and quite nice
Cons: The staff is really kind but it is difficult sometimes to communicate since some do not speak English (and we don't Spanish) Even if it is a spa hotel no spa was available and nobody told us in advance to our arrival
9.6 Excellent
Pros: An amazing property not far from the centre of San Cris, it was the perfect little getaway for our family of 4. The rooms are very modern and chic. The restaurant has a beautiful garden view and funky decor. The food was good but not mind-blowing. The atmosphere makes up for it, the kids were relaxed playing in the garden.
Cons: Like I mentioned the food was great but not spectacular. We ate lunch, dinner and then breakfast in the restaurant. The breakfast in particularly unexceptional, they didn’t have several options on the menu available and the plates we did receive were disappointing. The French toast was made from store bought bread. They should consider a healthy juice menu.

Cons: No breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Central location. Very friendly and helpful staff Everything very clean, hot shower.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This small, boutique hotel is close to all the pedestrian streets, cafes, restaurants, shopping, walking distance to the mercado grande, and several museums! The sitting area in reception is so comfy and welcoming.
Cons: NA
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was awesome and also our room was nice, realy big and bed was comfortable. It was realy close to the city. I have to say it was the kind of hotel you enjoyed you stay in this city
Cons: We do not like that it was allowed to smoke in the sitting area near the reception because we smell the smoke also in our room
7.1 Good
Pros: The Location is very good - Close to the main Center. Of course there is some noise but it was ok. There is coffee in the room that one can prepare for himself.
Cons: The Hotel doesn´t offer breakfast, but there are nice Options nearby
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was absolutely great, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We need to bring our accommodation forward one night in palenque, the reception at our next accommdation didn't speak English, the receptionist here kindly called on our behalf and arranged for us. The location is incredible. The room was very clean and spacious, Wi-Fi worked great and shower pressure was excellent. The room itself is dark however you just keep the lights on in the day when occupying. Highly recommend and would 100% stay here again. Breakfast not included however still excellent value for money.
Cons: The ground floor room can be a little bit nosey from people in the seating area but really wasn't a huge issue.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Hotel was genreraly very clean
Cons: I don't really unerstand why nobody mentioned here before that nearly all windows of rooms overlook very busy and noisy street?! At 5 o'colck we were awakened by loud engines and could't sleep anymore. Our problem was that we had to pay by "Booking" for 3 night reservation ahead and we lost money for 2 as it was non-refundable and there was noone to talk with about any changes as hotel service speaks only Spanish. Most of hotels around has beautiful patios where you can sleep in calm and quiet. If you want to relax better choose one of them!
7.1 Good
Pros: Location. Friendly staff. Colonial style
Cons: Room dark, damp and noisy
10.0 Excellent

7.7 Good
Pros: Very friendly and helping staff. Clean rooms and very good breakfast. Strategical location, close to the zocalo.
Cons: Avoid a room at streetside. Some streetnoice.
5.7 Okay
Pros: The location in proximity to the town centre was very close, it only took 5 minutes to walk anywhere we needed to.
Cons: The bed was awefully hard, not very comfortable at all. The bathroom was pretty basic. Could do with updating. The room was very noisy.
7.3 Good
Pros: Nice design and very comfortableVery friendly staff. An oasis of calm !
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Gloria, the cleaning woman, Mateo and Eder - two of the excellent waiters and Alfredo, one of the managers come to mind as "Muy Muy Amable", however everyone who I met that worked at the Hotel Tierra y Cielo were very friendly and helpful! I felt like I as a member of an extended family! I highly recommend this hotel to people visiting San Cristobal Las Casas. I definitely plan on coming back! I thank all the beautiful people of the hotel Tierra y Cielo very much - "Muchos Gracias"!

San Cristobal Church is a 10-minute walk away. You can drive to the border with Guatemala in 2 hours.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Too much noise at night mainly from customers. Not the fault of the hotel per se but if they had someone on night duty they could have quietened them down
6.7 Good
Pros: Location was great, on pedestrian mall & near lots of restaurants & main square. Nice courtyard.
Cons: The rooms were tiny, with the double bed jammed up hard against the wall on one side. The room was noisy, we could hear other guests talking and laughing until very late at night. Power points for re-charging electronic devices were inconveniently located ie above headboard of bed, and up high where I could barely reach.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, very good staff, comfy bed
Cons: A bit dark room and luggage has to be on the floor, but that'all!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Best thing about Casa Margarita is the location, situated right on the pedestrian-only portion of one of the main shopping and dining streets in the city center. Walk out the door of the hotel and you are seconds away from dining, bars and shopping as well as the central park and several historic churches. Despite this location in the heart of things, it was quiet at night as the rooms are set back, away from the street surrounding and behind a large central courtyard. Also good were the friendly staff and great cleanliness. Also free bottled water.
Cons: I didn't like that my room had no table/chair or desk/chair which I prefer when working on the computer. As I saw some rooms did have small table/2 chairs, I could have asked to change rooms or have one added to mine but did not as I was not doing much computer work. Also, wi-fi was fairly slow at times. OK but not good if you're doing business. Main complaint, important to me: No coffee in the morning. I like to make coffee in the room or have it available from the hotel. Perhaps they have coffee makers in upgrades? Basic, clean hotel and it's a good value if you don't need much.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Casa Margarita is a very beautiful mansion built in colonial style. It's located in the very heart of San Cristobal de Las Casas.
Cons: They don't have heating and the night is cold.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Great general atmosphere. A caring staff - willing assisted in promptly organising a Dr for an ailing member of our group and ensuring our well being. A very secure car park was available and assistance provided to transfer luggage from the vehicle to the accommodation. Highly recommended!
Cons: All was good!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A perfect location and the room was very clean and a comfortable bed!
Cons: The noise from other guests was horrible. I think in checking in, they should tell the guests to be respectful in the hallways and keep the voices in the rooms, and with that, the noise travels. My neighbors decided to watch their TV loudly at 6am!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, large rooms, many areas of extra space which helped w the kids. Free potable water. Kind staff. Clean. (In pictures the rags were bc they were cleaning- they weren’t there for long!)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. I loved it.
Cons: Everything was excellent. Great experience.

Pros: Our suite was well appointed with a very comfortable bed, functional kitchen, balcony over a beautiful courtyard with a pear tree. The bedspread was handmade from local Chiapas weavers and really added to the experience. All staff was responsive and friendly.
Cons: There was a rooster in a coop nearby that interrupted our sleep until we realized the hotel had provided a heater/fan that had enough white noise to drown out the rooster :). It worked well.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good hotel for older people or a couple looking for something rustic and cozy atmosphere!
Cons: In fact, everything was amazing, maybe the restaurant isn't the best. To rustic for a young couple in my opinion!

Cons: I could hear someone snoring loudly in the next room but ear plugs solved the problem... some would complain about church bells ringing loudly in the morning but for me they were a welcome reminder that I was in a wonderful place

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
6.3 Good
Pros: Spacious room
Cons: Greedy and unhelpful. Charged us to check in two hours 'early' into an empty room, and even though hotel empty argued late check out. Very cold room without hearing, no working WiFi.
7.9 Good
Pros: The place is very nice and the location is great. The room is huge! Two bathrooms and two bedrooms. The staff was very friendly.
Cons: It lacks warmth. The room that we had wasn’t well illuminated and it was kind of cold. Also the forniture need some renovation.
7.1 Good
Pros: The rooms are very specious and have a lot of character. They really feel like home away from home.
Cons: The communal areas are very small, the dinning room is very stuffy and not an appealing place to eat or to sit. The service is a bit slow, but hey this is Mexico. The room could really do with a mini-bar!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable and spacious, the complimentary breakfast was outstanding and the service overall was great. The property is beautiful and well maintened.
Cons: The location is not the best and the hotel itself is not suitable for elder people, it doest not offer parking service and is located on a hill, plus, as the name says, there are too many stairs.
7.1 Good
Pros: Good location, quiet, large accommodation with two bedrooms and two bathooms. Loved the house cleaners.
Cons: Getting run down -- broken lamps and telephone, some mold and smelly polyester issues. Some of the staff need better training. The food at the restaurant was not fresh -- we ended up going out to breakfast. TV has no English language stations. We were approached by hotel staff for some kind of "special deal" that involved a 40 minute presentation -- don't know what they were selling but this kind of solicitation isn't welcome when I am paying for a hotel room.
7.1 Good
Pros: The people were friendly, and the location was good.
Cons: The accommodation was expensive for what you get. The room layout was not well configured. Detailing of the finishes was poor and the overall impression was of a second rate facility charged at top rates. The stairs are what distinguish the place, but it is not very convenient.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: beautiful hotel, each room located in a little house, stairs to get in, at a first look the hotel is breathtaking
Cons: for this kind of hotel I would expect buffet brekfast, som of furniture needs to be repaired
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are incredible: big, confortable and with beautiful design.
Cons: Parking is a little bit offhand, and it is difficult (perhaps dangerous) to carry the baggages along the narrow and nosidewalk streets. There is no elevator, this staying in the most private rooms implies carrying your baggage 20 mts above through a staircase.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean and well kept place. Heaters available.
Cons: Place is great but just be mindful in case you travel with kids as the surroundings are not stroller-friendly due to steep stairs and tight roads.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are extraordinarily large - 2 bedrooms, 2 baths.
Cons: We were in room 1 at the bottom of the stairs. possibly rooms at the top - with views - could be difficult for older people to access.
