Salvador hotels near Praia do Porto da Barra

Pros: Beach location, easy access to beachfront and inexpensive Uber to historic center.

Cons: Room a tiny bit small. Would have like umbrella and chair service until almost sunset.

Pros: Proximity to shopping mall. Safe area to walk. Very good breakfast.

Cons: Rooms are very small.

Pros: The staff was super nice, courteous and showing the best spirit of the famous Bahia's hospitality. The breakfast was superb, great variety and new options every day. Room is very spacious. Nice touch at check-in with a personalised card and typical sweets.

Cons: Nothing. Had a small issue communicated to the management and a solution was immediately offered. It is a family business and that's great, they have the power and independency to directly solve any issues. Corridors and bathroom/showerhead are a bit outdated, but hotel is undergoing a refurbishment.

Pros: Very clean and right on the beach in the Barra neighborhood. Within easy walking distance of lots of shops, restaurants, the mall and a supermarket. We had a spectacular view of the beach and the lighthouse from our balcony. Breakfast each morning had a ton of options and was delicious. Staff really went above and beyond for customer service - one of our bags never made it to our destination and was stuck in the São Paulo airport, and staff helped us call the airlines multiple times to figure out the situation. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Pros: Great Atmosphere and really welcoming and nice people from the hostel around. I’ve been to tons of hostels but this was really special. No matter which question you have or which help you need, there is always somebody there fore you. Locations is perfect (right next to the beach of Barra) and especially of you stay at the language school Dialogo it is just a 5 minutes walk. Barr’s is one of the safest and most beautiful districts of Salvador. Breakfast is very good, I’ve stayed for one week and was never bored of it. Also when it comes to price-performance ratio I can really recommend this place. Hostel was always clean.

Pros: Perfect for a stop over in Salvador. Near beach with lots of local restaurants and bars. Also close to Shopping Barra. Fabulous staff.

Cons: Rooms and bathrooms a little on the small side but adequate for a couple of nights.

Cons: The staff, the cleanliness At my arriving they told me that I have to change the rooms at the next day. The other day, they told me they did a mistake but tomorrow I have to change?! In my first night the safe alarm just out of the sudden started and it did not stop. The staff could not help. My sheets had blood stains. Of course, I payed very less but this points should not be.

Pros: The hotel is very simple. It is only for sleep, not anymore to do there. The air conditioner is good and help a lot. The hotel's location is very good, very close to Farol da Barra. The attendants are very polite and friendly. The breakfast is a pleasant surprise. The internet is free and is very good. One think is that they only accept cash. They don't accept Credit Card.

Cons: The room could have a chair and a small desk.

Pros: Great value. The location is great, the pousada is super quaint. It's like a boutique hotel. Very cute. Its surrounded by lush vegetation. The room was large for 2 people with towels and sheets and soap provided for your private bathroom. The room also had a mini fridge and a safe box. The breakfast (which is included) is excellent. The staff was nice. This hotel exceeded my expectations.

Cons: The only thing I could think of, which isn't much at all is that it would be nice to have a fully closing shower door. A microwave available for use for guests in the hotel would be a bonus too. But cant complain. These are very minor things .

Pros: The bed was super comfrotable and the bathroom spacious. The best part was amazing breakfast with local flavours. Some grocery stores nearby.

Cons: There's some costruction works going on, which means it can get pretty loud during the day. And the mess (plaster, paints) gets in places like halls and elevator. It's a quiet area, 2 km from the beach and the old town. Not much going on there. The staff spoke no English.

Cons: TOO noisy. Drilling and renovations start at 8am until about 6pm. Extremely noisy. Internet didn’t work for 2/3 days

Pros: I liked the location and off-street parking most. The staff are also very helpful. My son loved the big beds and pillows, which were very comfortable and also great for horseplay. The water infused with pineapple, cinnamon, etc in the lobby is a very nice touch.

Cons: The renovations underway detract from the aesthetics and comfort and the breakfast room feels more like a canteen for workers than an enjoyable place to start the day.

Pros: Hotel was clean and housekeeping was immaculate. Reception staff very helpful. Hotel is located a short taxi ride from tourist area in all directions

Pros: Perfect location, practical and absolutely clean. My mother and I stayed there and loved it!

Cons: You can’t cook anything in there, because there’s only a microwave and a sandwich toaster

Pros: The hotel have a great location and the staff ( Ivan from front Desk) made us fell welcomed.

Cons: Our view of the the back street wasn't so horrible until night, gets noise, very noise from early in the morning till late( 2/3 am). The hotel must to change that windows for one with sound proof.

Cons: Staff wouldn’t let us change our dates so we had to pay for an extra night even though we wanted to come back & stay after our Chapada Diamantina trip. We would have stayed for another 3 nights after the CD trip but decided to stay elsewhere

Pros: The location - right by the beach- was the best aspect of the hotel and having access to breakfast on the property was good and quite convenient.

Cons: The room was clean- in a basic sense -but the age of the property was evident. The bathroom mirror was dirty, as was the main mirror outside, the bathroom shower head was in an awkward location and on the last day little bugs were in the shower. The bed was comfortable albeit uneven, and since the bed sheets were two flat sheets- not a set, the bottom sheet would come off a little. The television worked at first but after it shut off on its own I didn’t use it again (the remote was difficult to use and was missing a back.) I was only there for two nights but on the second day-after having checked in the night before I had to wait more than 5 minuteswhile they located my information to let me back in the back (weekend ) entrance.While passing a stairwell on the way to my elevator, I saw a mattress on the stairs. The location is great and the staff was good but it is issues like this that keep the hotel from receiving a higher rating from me.

Cons: The bathroom was smelly. Not very clean. In general the hotel needs some maintenance. The breakfast was not good. Very poor fruit options.

Pros: Great location. Walking distance to the beach. a lot of bars and restaurants around. there is a supermarket in the same block if you want to buy some stuffs to put on the fridge. Good breakfast.

Cons: the room didn't look clean. There was not towel, soap, shampoo. The wall on the shower had an yellow dirty color. They should keep the ceramic clean if they wanna to have it white. The power in the room was going off when I turned the shower on. The maintenance guy checked and as solution, he took the neutral cable out. not a safety resolution, but.....They offered to change the room, but because was my last night there I decided to stay anyway.
