Pros: What a lovely experience we enjoyed at Hare Lodge. It was like having our own little apartment, but with warm and helpful hosts. We we only wish we could have stayed longer. Would so highly recommend!

Pros: Perfect hosts and amazing breakfast. Absolutely perfect for a countryside visit. Thanks.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was easy to find, it was easy to park and the owners warm and welcoming. It felt homey yet fresh, clean and uncluttered and I thought very well decorated. The bed was super comfy with crisp white sheets and a lovely duvet. We really enjoyed the breakfast, there was a small selection of cold options (including fresh berries and yoghurt) and fresh juice, and full cooked breakfast to order - delightful. Plus, local recommendations and warm friendly conversation with the owners! Really wonderful find.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were made extremely welcome and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Our room was large, very comfortable and had a lovely view from the balcony. Breakfasts were excellent. Location suited us very well; 15 minutes walking distance from the local pub (which had a very varied menu) and it didn't matter that it was uphill all the way back!
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fab staff, warm welcome, yummo food. Oh, stunning countryside location, laying in bed watching the sheep in the field!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was comfortable and provided everything you needed. The pub is also amazing with great food- a 14th century inn. I cannot say enough about the hospitality and friendliness of the staff- we were late arriving due to traffic and they went out of their way to be helpful and paid interest in what we were doing. So lovely.
Cons: Due to arriving late the pub was busy so parking spaces were limited but there was somewhere for us on second looking and the staff were really helpful- so nothing to complain about
7.9 Good
Pros: Comfortable and stylish rooms
Cons: We booked a room with a shower but on arrival the room wasn’t available. The room we were given was next to the kitchen extractor and hence very noisy and there was a lot of peeling paint in the bathroom.

Pros: Very good breakfast and dinner. Besides the buffet stuff you can also order from the breakfast menu. Very typical English ambience. The staff was also very friendly. Cons: Parking on site such a homely bnb
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We received a very warm, genuine welcome when we arrived. Our room was fantastic. It was huge, well equipped with the most comfortable bed we've ever had in a guest house! Even the bedding was luxurious! Breakfast was fantastic and my vegan diet was well catered for. (I did email in advance). We travelled, by train, to Salisbury for the Christmas Market. The location of Websters is perfect - just a 10 minute walk from the station on a lovely quiet cul-de-sac. Far enough from town for it to be quiet yet a very easy, flat walk to the shopping area. (15 minutes at most). Tasteful Christmas decorations throughout the guest house made our weekend even more festive. And Gus was the icing on the cake!

Pros: Everything
Cons: It was charming and a great place to stay. Rooms were beautiful and cosy.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff and very clean throughout.
Cons: As is with old buildings the floor boards were very creaky and as we were on the middle floor the noise echoed below...
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing is good - have maybe once been a charming pub with rooms upstairs.
Cons: Receive your guests friendly with respect. Our booking though booking.com - the hotel only had 1 room booked even I had a mail with a confirmation for 2 rooms. Water was dripping from the ceiling when it rained. Due maintenance of the rooms and restaurant, make fresh food etc etc…..
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Relaxing and very central for shopping.
Cons: NA
4.4 Okay
Pros: If you happen to be traveling to salisbury and want to tour the cathedral, you can't get a better location as it is right across from the entrance to the grounds. The staff were very friendly and competent, the rooms were well maintained and the bathrooms were spacious and very clean. But this inn is very old, the rooms are very tight, and it just isn't that comfortable. We did not feel there was adequate value for our rate of GBP100/night (jul09).
3.2 Mediocre
Pros: the quantness of the place, floors and walls sloping in all direction, which is not suprising for a building over 400 years old.
Cons: Very poor value for money, no services, reception closed @ 1800pm, no hotel lounge as such, only a bar/resteraunt.
7.2 Good
Pros: Clean and tidy with the only non-euclidean staircase in existence.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and a great ability to fulfil all our needs! I booked the hotel initially for my wedding night! We ended up having our wedding reception there as well and was a fabulous day, food and service was great and couldnt ask for any better - Big thank you to the hotel!
Cons:
5.6 Okay
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant for both brekfast and dinner was excellent if a little expensive for the dinner.
Cons: No phones in the rooms. No room service. No shower caps in bathroom. It was a lovely hotel for a break but not for business use. I was hoping to recommend this hotel for business use but without the first 2 facilites above I am unable to do so.
4.8 Okay
Pros: Location. Staff made a real effort to be helpful.
Cons: No telephone in room. No explanation of use of 4 keys or how to lock room. Locked in the hotel when all staff went off for part of Sunday. The low service level does not reflect the high price. The operation seemed rahter amateur in terms of customer service.
7.2 Good
Pros: Altogether a very charming and unusual hotel. Very friendly staff and high attention to details.
Cons: The long walk from the Car Park - over 10mins walk with luggage. The cooked breakfast, although lovely, was a little small. And kept awake by talking on the first night until 2.30am and by another guest at 3am the next evening walking through and banging doors! Arghhhh!! But this did not put us off our stay, but think the price could be a little lower.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: location
Cons: The hotel was dirty, no air conditioning and expensive. The kettle was missing from the room and the curtains were held back with a safety pin which cut my finger!

Pros: The staff: excellent! The location: excellent! The food: excellent!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Had a fabulous stay at Qudos 6th-8th Dec 2019. We booked the triple room . Facilities were great. We pre booked our table for dinner on the friday night. Food was amazing and we got a VIP discount on the bill as we were guests. The bar had live music on both the friday ans saturday night. Great atmosphere. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Charlie, who greeted us on arrival and gave us some helpful info on what to do whilst in the area. We chose to book the breakfast on both mornings because we were so impressed. It did not disappoint. The only downside is that there is no designated guest parking. However, there is a long stay carpark just a few minutes walk away and you can stay overnight and pay for your parking on line via the text number provided on the side of the ticket machines. The christmas markets and Salisbury cathedral is a must see. Will definitely stay here again in the future.
Cons: Designated guest parking outside, but it is a busy town centre so understand the difficulties.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good location, friendly helpful staff.
Cons: Nothing really, they warned about possible noise from a live band in the bar, but I had n problems.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, nice interior in the bar area, room was excellent, toiletries, tea, coffee, biscuits, water and wifi all incl, staff were nice and easy booking - done online, paid at the venue. 2 mins walk from shops, market and City Hall which is where our gig was. Cathedral is just 10 mins walk.

Cons: Lack of parking... thats the only downside

Pros: Very helpful and pleasant staff. Room was spacious, bathroom good although you had to be careful not to bump your head in the shower but we were in the attic! Very central and only a ten-minute walk from the station. It was also much more quiet than we expected but it was mid-week.

Pros: The position of the hotel is excellent. The night porter/receptionist was very helpful when we told him we couldn't access our room. He helped and got our towels/milk/water and biscuits and was most apologetic.
Cons: Even though we booked 2 nights our room was not made up the 2nd day. No towels etc. as our key card was cancelled.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: all is bad
Cons: all
4.0 Okay
Pros: The location was brilliant, and being on the side of Weatherspoons I was fearing noise but i was pleasantly surprised that there was nothing at all from the restaurant. The room was laid out nicely, bathroom was clean and the facilities were good. The staff were all just fantastic. In fact my partner left her coat in the restaurant and we did not realise until the following morning and thankfully they had kept it. Great service.
Cons: The room had a gap of around half an inch under the door, meaning we heard every single person walking past and light from under the door. This made the room noisy. Also the 'double bed' was two singles pushed together. To make matters worse, one side of the single was not only a completely different type of mattress (much harder and uncomfortable than the other side) it was also about half an inch higher, meaning we did have to use the bed as two singles. This I did not take into account until we got into bed, and being late (we had come to see a show) I could not raise this with staff. Upon checking out, the reception was closed, with a box on the counter saying 'please put your room card in here' - while this is fine, I was unable to raise the issues with the staff again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location a few minutes from City Hall, a 8 minute walk from the train station. No noise at night in our room. Easy check in/out. Spacious room. Fair price.
Cons: To get to our room we had to go up and down stairs, not a big deal but it’s worth asking about if you have mobility issues
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was warm & had a bath. It was very clean & well furnished apart from no easy chair.
Cons: The room and location would not have been suitable for a person with mobility problems or substantial amounts of luggage.

Cons: The weather.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, good car park and an easy walk into the city past the cathedral .A good sized comfortable room.
Cons: The shower was not the best but that is nit picking.
4.0 Okay
Cons: Bathroom grouting in poor condition and mould in evidence. Lack of experienced staff, particularly at breakfast time. Place starting to feel a little run down.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Walking distance to city centre
Cons: Although breakfast was stated as included it was only continental and a cooked breakfast was extra No restaurant or bar facilities for residents as all booked for Christmas parties. Would not have booked if I had known this. Disco was noise until midnight
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location is beautiful with views over the river towards the Cathedral. The room was quite comfortable and clean and most of the staff were friendly and polite.
Cons: The website extolls the virtues of their fine-dining restaurant and cosy, comfortable bar. Nobody told us until after we had paid for the room that neither of these would be available to us as they were booked each night for Christmas parties and discos with over 100 guests each night. The noise was unbearable and we had to go into town if we wanted anything to eat in the evening. UNACCEPTABLE!!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable & warm. The only negative is the facilities with bar were restricted for guests as there was christmas parties. My mum is elderly and we wanted to have an evening eating at the hotel but we had to take a taxi in town.
Cons: available facilities at the time of stay...
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Large comfortable bedroom with superb view across lawn to the River Avon, and Cathedral spire in the background. Extremely quiet (Sunday night, so no evening functions) Pleasant walk through Cathedral Close to city centre. Good selection at buffet breakfast
Cons: At breakfast, croissants and bread rolls were not as fresh as they should be. Cold water pressure was low in bathroom. Shower temperature fluctuated without warning.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Central location, comfy bed and charming decor
Cons: Fixed overhead shower was poor
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The courtyard, the ivy, the little quirks
Cons: Some rooms get too hot in hot weather
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Cosy feel to the hotel and great location, right in the city centre. We parked at Central long stay car park, very convenient and cheap.
Cons: Very little sound proofing and unfortunately there was a lot of noise outside our window. I’d advise taking ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper.
6.3 Good
Pros: Hotel was a typical heritage hotel. Room were dated but comfortable. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. Location was close to many eating outlets.
Cons: Resricted parking areas in and around the premises.
6.0 Good

Cons: Parking was available but a bit expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Central location Historic building
6.7 Good
Pros: Great location, fantastic old building with real character, room a good size, clean and comfortable.
Cons: Staff not particularly friendly, in this I do not include the young serving staff who tried their best to be helpful at breakfast. Breakfast on Sunday morning was a total nightmare they were unable to cope with number of residents some got NO cooked breakfast some like us got a little . On Monday morning hardly any residents and breakfast cooked to order although but not very well!
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: The rooms were not as advertised - much poorer condition and far from adequate. The walls have no sound proofing you can hear the occupants of the next room having sex and you can hear the TV playing clearly in the other room. Bathroom was old and dirty and the view from the room was of a dirty rooftop of the other side of the building. Overall a dreadful experience.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice period hotel. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, but room info sparse.
Cons: Reception very cramped with only space for one person checking in or out and little counter space. Very little sound insulation between our room and the next. Conversations clearly audible.
5.1 Okay
Pros: Location, courtyard nice except..., price not unreasonable.
Cons: Feel duped. Booked a "historical" room based on a picture of a charming room offered when booking. Got to room and it was a B minus take on modern. Asked at desk and was told all the rooms had been renovated, they were updating the website. Too late. False advertising. Internet horrible to the point of being useless, rooms very hot in summer. Kegs and chairs stacked/stored in the courtyard ruin the charm and ambiance. Shocked at the five star rating. Would hate to see an even four star property...
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Inconsistency with breakfast service
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, and the buildings amazing--all ivy and period charm. Hard to do better.
Cons: Bedrooms vary a bit. Some are great, others a little small.

5.7 Okay
Pros: Nice building, great location. Comfort OK, if more 3-star than 4-star.
Cons: Disco with loud music until midnight. Impossible to sleep as a result until it stopped. This does not always happen--I have stayed here before--but once is more than enough.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Rooms were a bit hot and could work out how to turn hearing down.
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel is centrally located and has car parking to the rear. The rooms are not big but the bed was very comfortable.
Cons: The bathroom was cold and could be improved by the installation of a radiator. We were unfortunate enough to have been allocated a room above the function area and there was an almighty noise from below which kept us awake.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable beds, room not overheated
Cons: Very small bathroom
7.9 Good
Pros: Easy car parking, and barrier controlled too Location to city centre fabulous Cosy sized room first impression lovely clean and tidy. Comfortable bed and nice room. Tea and coffee in room- nespresso machine and kettle for tea. Breakfast was lovely and tasty, with good variety
Cons: Room(carpet including underlay) and Bathroom needs refurb(chipped corner shelve, shower screen rubber dirty, shower knobs lost caps) Plastic bags or something under carpet so rustled when walked across floor. Quirky and amusing but strange. One of double plug sockets loose in wall and little concerned so didnt use it.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very close to salisbury
Cons: Tried to get out of car was blocked in. Tried to go home wasn’t told at reception you had to use acode
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great !
Cons: Hotel bar was a bit soulless
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast selection very good.
Cons: Room not bad but one double glazed window pane “blown” and the other had a broken catch so would not close fully - very cold. Had to resort to piling the curtains onto the window sill to keep out draughts. No point reporting as had obviously been the same for some time.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast ingredients were good quality and would have been delicious if only they had been hot!!
Cons: My room had a bad smell from the bathroom drains. There were a number of light-bulbs that needed changing. The windows were not double-glazed and the room overlooked the kitchen extractor system, so from about 06:00 it was very noisy.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good sized hotel Nice hidden courtyard
Cons: A bit noises at night
