I had rented a car for the incorrect dates, but immediately attempted to change the dates and the website would not allow me to do so. I attempted to call, but there was no answer. I emailed, but got no response. As a last resort, canceled the reservation on the website, but it did not list as canceled, until, eventually, it did say it was cancelled, but charged me the entire cost of the rental as a ‘cancellation fee.’ I would like my money back.

The car was exactly what we ordered so we were very happy with that. The only issue was how long we had to wait in line to rent. They did not have that many people at the Reykjavik airport pickup to help. Other than that it was a great experience!

Pick up was a bit confusing, mostly because I misread the email. Would be awesome if there were signs for dollar somewhere in the airport, even if that sign just said to press the pickup button.

Thrifty and Dollar are not in the terminal. You catch the shuttle at the departure side of the airport under the "Meeting Point" sign. Only a 3-4 minute shuttle ride. I think this is the better option than renting in the airport because there is no wait once you get to site and they shuttle you right back to the departure entrance when you're finished. If you rent at airport it is quite a long walk back to terminal from the rental car drop-off, with luggage, and they do get a bit of rain in Iceland ' ). Keep their phone number handy so you can call if they're not yet at the Meeting Point when you're ready.

Dollar Staff was very friendly ands helpful.Information on getting from airport in Reykjavik to the rental location. It was VERY confusing and unclear.

The staff member was nice and once we were able to finally see someoneThe rental system needs to be cleaner, having an individual walk out to the car is rather slow since then you loose a agent and leave people waiting way to long (we waited an hour and a half.

long wait, poor servicelong wait to drop off no cover for rain protection waiting for shuttle bus back to airport for departing flight, also long wait for the bus headlights need adjustment, driving at night difficult without bright lights on

Great customer service! Different idea of an "SUV"The man at the rental counter was friendly, patient and generally great. He took his time with us and went above and beyond to help us. He was really wonderful to deal with.What we reserved (and the photos that explained what we had reserved) looked very different from what we got. We expected a mid-size SUV and the vehicle was small.
