Reno hotels near Reno Riverwalk District

Pros: Hipster vibe, very friendly staff, downtown location, clean, good beds and sheets, nice big room. They are trying hard, with some good ideas. And some room for improvement. Stay here...give them the benefit of the doubt...enjoy the quirkiness.

Cons: 1. The restaurant and bar and room service closes at 9pm...10 pm... on the weekends. Seriously??? 2. There was not a guide to the hotel included in the room. A rock climbing gym that is the entire 2nd floor and one whole face of the building...kinda cool...but explain it to me. How's it work? Other services? 3. The menu under the glass top of the night table...really? Pretty cheesy. Put the menu in the hotel guide, see above. 4. Glass tops on the night tables? Really? 5. The bathroom was tiny and not well remodelled - tiny tub, shower head at about 5'3"...I'm 6'4", I could barely wash my armpits...

Pros: Renovated but it's still an old building. Has everything you would expect a hotel room to have. Good view. Staff was great.

Cons: Everything felt cheap. The room has only one winow ando the bath tub felt like it was flexing underneath me. Walls are very thin. And you can hear everything out side. Only parking was valet unless you wanted to walk.

Pros: The rooms are very nicely decorated and functional. It's a fantastic concept and has a wonderful feeling (except the odd red lights in the hallways) and could be so perfect with some management. The evening ladies (Matina and ?) running the concierge lounge were fantastic, friendly, area knowledgeable and very accommodating. Too bad they don't run the whole place, it would be a much nicer experience. Being able to have your kids and dogs with you was very nice. The location is great. The restaurant looked nice but we decided not to try based on the experience we had with staff and poor management in the hotel. Seemed like a good idea to avoid.

Cons: Never once saw a manager in 4 days. Poorly poorly managed. No one seemed to know what was going on or who was in charge. Housekeeping was awful..awful. Asked for extra blankets and were told by one they didn't have any. The never replaced our towels and never refilled our coffee pods or glass ware. Dirty sheets and towels piled down hallways for hours. Disgusting. We had to walk over mounds of dirty sheets and towels to get to our room. We even saw some sheets and towels with vomit and blood on them. Can't imagine the health department would approve. Just get a cart and leave at both hallway ends to put soiled linens in instead of having guests have to see this. It wasn't just a few minutes or even an hour, it was hours. Steve Wynn would flip a lid seeing this. Totally understaffed for New Years Eve holiday. 3 slow elevators that also serve for housekeeping and everything else so mornings are insane and takes 15-20 minutes to get down. Rude front desk staff, had no clue what was going on at all and seemed put off to even be asked a question. For some reason they cram all of the food items, toaster, etc. in a small corner section of the concierge lounge so everyone has to crowd in to that corner and wait for their toast, etc. It would be so much better to move the computer and printer into that corner space and spread the food items out on the long bar area at the end of the room or anywhere else in the nice big large rooms. Anyone with basic food and hospitality knowledge would quickly see this as an easy crowd control flow fix. The literature all says the lounge is open all day but whenever you try to access not during the breakfast or evening times, it was locked. The entrance to the hotel could use some updating, upgrading. Automatic doors would be nice as opposed to 2 sets of heavy doors that collapse on you as you come through with luggage and poor bellman. The showers had luke warm water and no water pressure. That was a major bummer.

Pros: Comfort The bed was fantastic--one of the best I've slept in at a hotel. The rooms are kept very clean and the housekeeping staff are great. Location -Upside The location is very convenient and makes access to surrounding events and venues a short walk. Family Friendly Non-smoking and non-gaming make this a unique hotel perfect for families. The climbing walls (indoor and outdoor) looked like a lot of fun and I would have tried them had I not been so busy.

Cons: Cramped and slow The elevators are slow and malfunctioned several times during my stay. The entry felt as though I was sneaking in the back door of a night club. There was no convenience store and all of the public areas felt cramped. Location - Downside The convenient location can be a bad thing as my last night found me trying to sleep with a rock concert going on in the street literally under my window. Admittedly, though, I did try to go to bed early and the music was over by 10:30. Internet Deficiency The W-Fi was horrible. It was spotty and required accepting of the terms every time it reconnected. The Wi-Fi that's free with your stay was slower than my cell phone and the broadband we paid for in hosting a conference wasn't much faster. *What's worse, that broadband was down for two of the three days of our conference.* That was a whole lot of money down the tubes.

Pros: Loved almost everything about the hotel except it was a little pricey for the amenities it provides. Price is relative to surrounding hotels, but it seems to offer less overall unless you pay even more extra to access "Club Level" amenities.

Cons: Tried to eat dinner at Roundabout Grill, which is the restaurant located at the hotel, but order was taken incorrectly after being asked about it twice, so the wrong food was brought out then it took an extra 20+ minutes to get the correct food. The staff was very kind and accommodating in trying to correct the mistake, but due to time constraints with other activities, I was forced to ask for a refund and never had a chance to eat the food which was wasted along with the hour I spent waiting. This won't keep me from trying to eat there on another trip, but it was a pretty frustrating experience especially as a guest of the hotel.

Pros: Coffer maker in the room was nice...personal Keurig

Cons: Breakfast was bad and one morning there was no hot food.

Pros: Location and absence of casino.

Cons: Air conditioning poor. None in hallways. Minimally acceptable in room. Would not stay here again in summer months.

Pros: Loved the finishes on the walls... but the decor doesn’t hit the cool factor :/ The read initially comes across as trending woodsy industrial... but the silk trees in the big wood pots- they need to go. I suggest, put in real pine trees in huge containers. And use real flowers... the fresh scents of woods and flowers is essential to this kind of hotel. The staff was very friendly very helpful. Dining staff were also very nice. LOVE the filtered water stand on the room floors- awesome idea! Good work!

Cons: The dining menu was great... but need some cushion chairs- There is a room divider made up of wood logs- cool look but when I sat nearby for breakfast... the smell of moldy dampness pervaded the air... fix that- and fix the rickety rocking tables. Get an auto door opener at your Entry way—- or a handicap door opener. Get better seating in lobby. Those leather chairs...dysfunctional too low hung- - maybe some leather contemporary high back chairs for those taller folk that need to sit in the lobby for a meeting. Get rid of fake flowers- fake trees- use real flowers real greens and , and real trees. And fresh flowers on each floor lobby. Fresh, pure, real.

Pros: Place was clean looked modern.

Cons: The only Thing was the location it was in the heart of Reno but had a few pan handlers approach me. However I think that's just how Reno is now in general

Pros: The staff was great and treated us well. There was a lot to do, the clubs, bars and entertainment were all open and plentiful.

Cons: It's an older hotel that is going under remodel, some features were closed like the pool and fountain.

Cons: This place is awful. The rooms are outdated, similar to a Motel 6. Never staying here again.

Cons: Hotel is showing its age. Our room was close to the elevator, and we could hear it going all night.

Pros: I have to wait for one hour while my room need to be cleaned first, it was already about 7 PM when I checked-in. Good thing I was travelling with friends and can stay at their room. The room was clean, good size, and comfy, I don't have any complain considering it was holiday time and lots of people in and out.

Cons: The only issue is parking. Most of them is compact size and lots of minivans just jamming in without considering other people. Need to work on that.

Pros: The room was very nice and clean the bed comfortable I enjoyed the atmosphere of the casino.

Cons: The bathrooms need to be updated. Pool wasn't available, was under construction. No notification about it.

Cons: Checking in to the hotel took forever. Someone took the time to hand out water when it would've made more sense to put him behind the desk and check people in faster. Every time I Sam ray at a harrahs the line is ridiculous and it feels as if the desks are not staffed properly to handle the volume.

Cons: Sinks and tubs didn’t drain. Toilet seat all chipped up. Barely looked like room was vacuumed as there were food crumbs on floor near bed frame.

Pros: The Hotel is very close to airport. The front desk staff was very kind and the bed was comfortable.

Cons: By the time I paid all the fees ($1.50 for in-room coffee, $10 for non-smoking room, $18 ‘resort fee’ that consisted of WiFi and the fitness center, etc. I could have booked a regular motel that didn’t reek of cigarette smoke.

Pros: Employees were grear!

Cons: Room was dirty and worn. Didn't have enough staff at the front desk. Two days I was there saw a constant line with only one to two desk clerks.

Pros: All the amenities are great. Many restaurant choices. Close to everything.

Pros: Got booked in east tower room was large and clean. Plenty of slot machines and sports book close to you right by elevator. How ever if you win you need to walk to the west wing to cash in a long walk.

Cons: The bathroom toilet leaked over night witch caused me to slip and fall on my butt in morning. I informed the lady at check out she told me she would get house keeping on it. However no apologies or even An enquirer if I was alright. I must say as a person who works with the public for a living I was a little disappointed in the reaction. I was not looking for any comps but a simple are you Okay would have went a long way

Pros: Their decor is shabby and all the rooms smell like smoke plus the staff is rude. Spend a little more and stay at a better place

Cons: Pretty much everything. It smelled like cigarettes, the staff was rude, the food is cheap and disgusting, the decor hasn't been upgraded since the early 90's and the table games are virtually empty

Pros: They were very accommodating for our dog, even had a full floor dedicated to ppl traveling with pets.

Cons: We stayed with our puppy, and they gave us a room that smelled horribly of dog pee. It sank into my clothes and stuff and kept me up more than half the night. There was no fan in the bathroom or window to open to even lessen the smell. That made the entire stay disgusting. They charged for EVERYTHING!!! Even if we needed water we had to go all the way downstairs to get tiny cups filled by the bar just so they wouldn't charge us $3. They charged a fee to rent a crate for the night. The pet relief are was a complete mess. It looked like no one ever took care of it. And it was just a sandbox stuck in the back of the hotel.

Pros: Room was clean and spacious, but not particularly comfortable. Restaurants either closed too soon or not open at all. A total waste!

Cons: FILTHY! splatter on the walls dirty baseboards goo on the walls in the bathroom cigarette burns in the carpet (reserved a non-smoking room) and bathroom counter found a cigarette butt on the rug as you enter the bathroom dirty floor in the bathroom the smell of cigarette smoke and pot filled the room the AC was noisy and rattled

Cons: We requested a non-smoking room but it still smelled like smoke and the blanket had a cigarette hole. I could barely fit in the shower. The bed was a little uncomfortable.

Cons: They've installed hardwood floors which look beautiful but it sounds like trying to sleep in a bowling alley when people walk across them with shoes on. Carpeting is much better for keeping noise down coming from people walking in the room above you.

Cons: It sounded like you were literally on the highway. Horrible beds- had a backache when I woke up. No tissues, no hairdryer. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
